What is Super Factory Manager?
2 parts
Super Factory Manager is a programming language for moving stuff around in Minecraft. Version 4 drops the old flowchart GUIs and uses a scripting language instead, so you write a short program that tells your inventories what to move and where.[1]
This pack ships Super Factory Manager 4.34.0 for Minecraft 1.21.1. It has been in the pack since All the Mons 0.3.0-beta or earlier.[2]
What you need to get going
The basic kit is a Factory Manager, a Program Disk and a Label Gun, plus Inventory Cables if you want them. You place the manager, connect it to your inventories, put the disk in its GUI and paste your script in. Then you use the label gun to tell the program which blocks are which.[1]
Where it sits in the quest book
Super Factory Manager has no quest of its own. It shows up inside "Disenchanting Methods" quest, which is in the chapter "Tips and Poke Tricks" (chapter 4 of 70 in the book).[3]
That quest compares several ways to pull enchantments off gear and onto books. Its Super Factory Manager entry calls it one of the cheapest ways to disenchant, with no experience cost at all. The setup it describes is to drop your enchanted item and a pile of books on a block of obsidian, then make a falling anvil land on top of them.[3]
The quest book gives that quest no prerequisite. It is one of the quests listed before the chapter's a quest in "Tips and Poke Tricks" quest, the "Complete all the tips!" checkmark, so nothing in the chapter comes after it except that one. The mod is not on the ATM Star quest path.[3]
How do you get started with Super Factory Manager?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
Super Factory Manager is a programming language for moving stuff around in Minecraft. You write a script, store it on a disk, and a manager block runs it. So your first crafts are the manager, the disk that holds your program, and the tool that tells the manager which blocks are which.[1]
What to craft, in order
Start with Inventory Cable. They connect your manager to your inventories, and one craft makes 16 of them.[1][4]

Then the Factory Manager Program Disk. You put it in the manager's GUI to hold your program. This pack changes this recipe from the mod's own, so go by the recipe below.[1][4]

Your first setup
- Place the Factory Manager and connect it to your inventories with Inventory Cables.[1]
- Put the Program Disk inside the manager's GUI.[1]
- Paste your script into the manager GUI with the buttons or with Ctrl+V. The manager tells you when the script has loaded.[1]
- Hover over the disk to see any warnings and errors in your program.[1]
- Shift-right-click the manager with the Label Gun in your hand to load the labels from your program.[1]
- Hold shift and use the scroll wheel to change the active label, then right-click blocks in the world to apply or remove it.[1]
- Right-click the manager without holding shift to save the labels to the Program Disk. Your program should then be running.[1]
How does Super Factory Manager work?
6 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Super Factory Manager (SFM) moves items and other resources around your base with a script instead of a flowchart GUI. You write a program, store it on a disk, and a Factory Manager runs it against the inventories it can reach through cables. Everything below is how those pieces fit together in this pack.[1]
Getting a program running
You need a Factory Manager, a Factory Manager Program Disk and a Label Gun. Inventory Cable is optional but is how you connect the manager to your inventories. Here is the basic flow:[1][6]
- Place the manager in the world and connect it to your inventories with Inventory Cables.[1]
- Put the Program Disk inside the manager's GUI.[1]
- Paste your script into the manager GUI with the buttons or Ctrl+V. The manager tells you when the script has loaded.[1][7]
- Hover over the disk to see the warnings and errors for your program.[1]
- Shift-right-click the manager with the Label Gun in hand to load the labels from your program.[1]
- Hold shift and use the scroll wheel to change the active label, then right-click blocks in the world to apply or remove it. A right-click menu also lets you enter a custom label that isn't in your program yet.[1]
- Right-click the manager without holding shift to save the labels to the Program Disk. Your program should now be running.[1]
Working with the manager GUI and disk
The manager GUI has a few helpers worth knowing. Ctrl+Shift+E opens example programs. The warning button copies your code along with its warnings and errors, and shift-clicking it attempts to fix the warnings. You can also right-click a disk in your hand to edit it outside a manager.[7]
The pack changed the disk recipe, so don't rely on what you remember from the base mod.[6]

Labels and the Label Gun
Labels are how your script knows which blocks to act on. The Label Gun can toggle the active label on a block, pick the active label from a block, and clear labels from a block. Holding the contiguous modifier applies changes to contiguous blocks touching cables. You can also label a Factory Manager itself, and the gun has its own GUI, opened by using it on the air. Its tooltip lists the exact keys, which depend on your keybinds.[7]
Cables and networks
Cables connect the manager to your inventories. You can convert Fancy Inventory Cable to and from the plain cable in the crafting grid.[1][6]

It also sets facades on cables. Put the tool in your off-hand with a block in your main hand and right-click a cable. Ctrl-click facades contiguously, Alt-click facades the matching block across the network, and Ctrl-alt-click facades the entire network. You can hold the attune key and right-click a block to attune the tool to that position.[7]
Other SFM blocks
The Water Tank needs two adjacent water sources. It works better when it is also next to other active water tanks.[6][7]

The Printing Press needs an air gap below a downward-facing piston. You use it by extending the piston.[6][7]

How do you progress through Super Factory Manager?
6 parts
Super Factory Manager has no quest line of its own in the quest sources here. The only quest that mentions it is a tips quest, so most of your progression comes from the crafting recipes. I've laid them out in the order you'll probably want them.[3][8]
What the quest book says
The mod shows up in the quest "Disenchanting Methods" quest, in the chapter "Tips and Poke Tricks" (chapter 4 of 70 in the book). That quest is one of the ones listed as leading into the "Complete all the tips!" quest. It covers several ways to pull enchantments off gear and onto books. Its Super Factory Manager entry calls it one of the cheapest ways to disenchant, with no experience cost at all. The method is to drop your enchanted item and a bunch of books on a block of obsidian, then make a falling anvil land on top of them.[3]
Step 1: cables and the manager

Cable variants
Once you have plain cables, you can make Fancy Inventory Cable, Tough Inventory Cable and Tunnelled Inventory Cable from them. Fancy cables can in turn become Tough Fancy Inventory Cable or Tunnelled Fancy Inventory Cable.[8]

Which All the Mons quests use Super Factory Manager?
2 parts
Super Factory Manager only turns up in one place in the quest book: the chapter "Tips and Poke Tricks", which is chapter 4 of 70. It's a grab bag of useful items and Cobblemon advice, and the mod appears inside a single quest there.[3]
Disenchanting Methods
The quest "Disenchanting Methods" quest is a round-up of ways to get enchantments off gear and onto Books. Super Factory Manager is the first method listed. The quest calls it one of the cheapest ways to disenchant your gear, with no Experience cost at all.[3]
The method it describes: drop your enchanted item and a bunch of Books on a block of Obsidian, then make a falling Anvil land on top of the item and the Books. The quest text doesn't go into how the mod itself is set up for this.[3]
The quest is completed by handing in any one of several items, so you don't have to pick the Super Factory Manager route. The accepted items are Anvil, Disenchanter, Lens of Disenchanting, Enchantment Extractor, Tome of Scrapping, Tome of Superior Scrapping and Tome of Extraction.[3]
The other methods it covers, for comparison:[3]
- Draconic Evolution Disenchanter: lets you pick one specific enchantment to move to a Book, and it costs Experience.[3]
- Apothic Enchanting Tomes: used in an anvil. The scrapping tomes destroy the item, while the Tome of Extraction keeps it.[3]
- Industrial Foregoing Enchantment Extractor: recommended for automated disenchanting. You can also turn the enchantments into Essence instead.[3]
- Actually Additions Lens of Disenchanting: goes into an Atomic Reconstructor and separates a single enchantment from the item onto a Book.[3]
Where it sits in the chapter
Disenchanting Methods is one of eight quests that the final checkmark quest a quest in "Tips and Poke Tricks", "Complete all the tips!", comes after. The others are "Infinite Water" quest, "Personal Shrinking Device" quest, "Simple Magnets" quest, "Charging Gadgets" quest, "Ranged Pump" quest, "Iron Jetpacks" quest and "Mo' Professions" quest.[3]
What changed in Super Factory Manager between versions?
5 parts
All the Mons 1.3.0 ships Super Factory Manager 4.34.0 for Minecraft 1.21.1. The mod has been in the pack since 0.3.0-beta or earlier. I have no pack changelog entries for this mod, so everything below comes from the mod's own changelogs for the releases I have notes on.[2]
4.34.0 (the version in this pack)
- Fancy cables can now be waterlogged.[9]
- There is a configurable keymapping for opening the label gun GUI, and the label gun clear modifier tooltip was fixed.[9]
- The falling anvil experience shard JEI catalyst display now uses the configured tag instead of a hardcoded obsidian. Falling anvil items also no longer spawn in the corner.[9]
- Editing the server config with the /sfm config edit server command now invalidates the program cache properly.[9]
- Label gun text and the label gun and network tool highlights no longer render slightly offset at large world coordinates.[9]
- A uk_ua localization was added, and zh_cn was updated.[9]
4.32.0
- Accepting an intellisense suggestion now has its own keymapping instead of a hardcoded backslash.[10]
- The "rebuild cable network" button in the manager no longer errors because of a bad i18n parameter.[10]
- The intellisense popup was fixed for being transparent on MC 1.20 and newer, and JEI integration item lore is now written properly.[10]
4.31.0
This release fixes a crash when placing a cable where the same network touches multiple sides.[11]
4.29.0
This is the biggest release in the notes I have. It introduced tunnelled cables and tough cables, and added tooltips to both and to the tunnelled manager block.[12]
- The network tool can now be attuned to a block position.[12]
- Double-gathering of input slots, which caused lag and correctness issues, was fixed.[12]
- UP and DOWN directions can now be rotated to work out the relative left, right, front and back faces.[12]
- The block network logic used by cable networks and water tanks was updated.[12]
- Warnings were added for slots that don't support extraction.[12]
- Missing block tags were added to the tunnelled factory manager, and the round robin example was corrected.[12]
4.28.0
This release fixed fancy cables visually connecting to blocks they shouldn't. It also fixed LabelNotConnectedProgramLinter, which wrongly detected that any block has redstone capability.[13]
