What is Growth Accelerator Tiers?
Growth Accelerator Tiers is one of the mods that ships with this pack. This version includes release 1.0.2, built for NeoForge on Minecraft 1.21.1, and it has been in the pack since version 1.0 or earlier, so it's not a recent addition.[1]
Unverified The sources I have don't describe what the mod does, so I can't tell you its mechanics, tiers, recipes or config options here. Nothing confirms where it fits in the pack's progression, and it isn't on the ATM Star path. No quests in this pack involve it. Check the in-game item list (JEI) for items from the growthacceleratortiers namespace if you want to see what it adds. This site does hold All the Mods 10: To the Sky's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with Growth Accelerator Tiers?
4 parts
Growth Accelerator Tiers adds upgraded versions of the Applied Energistics 2 Growth Accelerator, plus a tool for turning one of them. In this pack all of them are shaped crafting recipes. Here is the order I'd go in.[2][3]
Cranked Growth Accelerator
Start with the Cranked Growth Accelerator. It does not connect to a network and only works when powered by the Wooden Crank. That makes it the one to reach for first, because it needs no network behind it.[3]

Boosted Growth Accelerator
Next up is the Boosted Growth Accelerator. Its tooltip describes it as faster than your average Growth Accelerator. It is crafted from a regular Growth Accelerator, so you need one of those first.[2][3]

Directional Growth Accelerator
The Directional Growth Accelerator forces buds to grow in a specific direction, and that direction is up by default. Build it when you want control over where your buds grow. Like the boosted one, it is crafted from a regular Growth Accelerator.[2][3]

How does Growth Accelerator Tiers work?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
Growth Accelerator Tiers adds upgraded versions of the AE2 Growth Accelerator: the Boosted Growth Accelerator, the Directional Growth Accelerator and the Cranked Growth Accelerator. Each one has a speed multiplier for ticking the blocks next to it, and you can read it in the config. The pack changes some of those values, so the numbers below are the pack's, not the mod's defaults.[4][5]
Boosted Growth Accelerator
This is the straightforward upgrade: it is faster than your average Growth Accelerator. Its speed multiplier is 4 ([[config:config/growthacceleratortiers-common.toml#Boosted Growth Accelerator.boosted_speed_multiplier]]), which is the mod default. A value of 1.0 would match the normal AE2 Growth Accelerator.[4][5]
The pack raises its running power consumption to 200 ([[config:config/growthacceleratortiers-common.toml#Boosted Growth Accelerator.boosted_idle_power_consumption]]). The mod default is 42, and the config notes that 8 would imitate the normal AE2 accelerator. The internal energy multiplier stays at the default of 40 ([[config:config/growthacceleratortiers-common.toml#Boosted Growth Accelerator.boosted_internal_energy_multiplier]]).[5]

Directional Growth Accelerator
This one forces buds to grow in a specific direction, and that direction is up by default. To change it, right click the accelerator with a Directional Modifier.[4]
Crafting Shaped

Recipe id: growthacceleratortiers:directional_modifier
The pack changes both of its main values. The speed multiplier is 1.6 ([[config:config/growthacceleratortiers-common.toml#Directional Growth Accelerator.directional_speed_multiplier]]) instead of the mod default of 2. Running power consumption is 160 ([[config:config/growthacceleratortiers-common.toml#Directional Growth Accelerator.directional_idle_power_consumption]]) instead of 20. The internal energy multiplier is unchanged at 32 ([[config:config/growthacceleratortiers-common.toml#Directional Growth Accelerator.directional_internal_energy_multiplier]]).[5]

Cranked Growth Accelerator
The Cranked accelerator does not connect to a network. It only works when powered by the Wooden Crank.[4]
Its values are all the mod defaults: a speed multiplier of 8 ([[config:config/growthacceleratortiers-common.toml#Cranked Growth Accelerator.cranked_speed_multiplier]]), running power consumption of 8 ([[config:config/growthacceleratortiers-common.toml#Cranked Growth Accelerator.cranked_idle_power_consumption]]) and an internal energy multiplier of 20 ([[config:config/growthacceleratortiers-common.toml#Cranked Growth Accelerator.cranked_internal_energy_multiplier]]). The config notes that 8 power would imitate the normal AE2 accelerator.[5]
Crafting Shaped

| any iron ingot | any plank | any iron ingot |
| any cobblestone | any cobblestone |

Reading the config
- Speed multiplier: how much the accelerator ticks adjacent blocks. 1.0 imitates the normal AE2 Growth Accelerator.[5]
- Idle power consumption: the power used while running. 8 imitates the normal AE2 Growth Accelerator.[5]
- Internal energy multiplier: scales the accelerator's internal power inventory. 10 imitates the normal AE2 Growth Accelerator.[5]
How do you progress through Growth Accelerator Tiers?
4 parts
Growth Accelerator Tiers adds upgraded growth accelerators to the pack, plus a helper item. They are Cranked Growth Accelerator, Boosted Growth Accelerator and Directional Growth Accelerator, plus the Directional Modifier. Each has its own crafting recipe in this pack, and you can see all of them below.[2]
Cranked Growth Accelerator
This is the entry point. Its recipe is built from basic materials and a Wooden Crank, and it does not need an existing Growth Accelerator as an input.[2]

Boosted Growth Accelerator
The Boosted version is an upgrade of an existing Growth Accelerator. Its recipe also asks for a netherite ingot, so you will reach it later in your progression than the Cranked one.[2]

Directional Growth Accelerator
The Directional version is also built on top of a Growth Accelerator and needs a netherite ingot. It takes a different core from the Boosted one, so the two are separate upgrade paths.[2]

Directional Modifier
The Directional Modifier is a separate crafted item. Its recipe calls for any wrench, so make sure you have one handy.[2]

Unverified The sources here show no quest chapter that covers this mod, so any quest-guided order for these items is unverified. The recipes above are the only progression information available. Check the quest book in-game if you want to see whether it says anything about them.
How does Growth Accelerator Tiers work with other mods?
2 parts
In this pack, the integration that shows up in the recipes is with AE2. Every Growth Accelerator Tiers item in the recipe data is crafted with at least one AE2 item, so you'll be touching AE2 progression to unlock them.[2]
Recipes that use AE2 items
- Cranked Growth Accelerator is built around the AE2 Wooden Crank, mixed with common materials that accept any matching tag item (cobblestones, iron ingots and planks).[2]
- Boosted Growth Accelerator upgrades the AE2 Growth Accelerator and also uses the AE2 Annihilation Core, Fluix Pearl and Acceleration Card.[2]
- Directional Growth Accelerator also builds on the AE2 Growth Accelerator, this time with the Formation Core instead of the Annihilation Core, plus a Fluix Pearl and an Acceleration Card.[2]
- Directional Modifier uses a Fluix Pearl and accepts any item from the shared wrench tool tag.[2]
The Boosted and Directional versions also ask for items from the shared tag lists: emerald or diamond gems, and netherite ingots. Because these are tag-based, any item registered under the matching tag works.[2]

Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use Growth Accelerator Tiers?
3 parts
Growth Accelerator Tiers has no quests of its own in this pack, and no quest asks you to hand in one of its items. It only gets name-dropped in the text of three quests, in three chapters. Here they are, with what each one asks for.[6][7][8]
Chapter 1: Starting out
The mod comes up in "The Next Chapter" quest, which unlocks after "Starting Power" quest. The task is to hand in Redstone. The quest text says that Chapter 2 is not out yet, but you can already start on the mods it will include. It lists Generators Galore, Growth Accelerator tiers and Geores, and recommends the directional accelerator because it is "super fast".[7]
Chapter 2: The Cool Parts
"WORK IN PROGRESS" quest is a work-in-progress placeholder for testers. Its task is Oak Log, and it has no prerequisite quest. The text says the section will contain mods such as Geores and the 8x magmatic Growth Accelerator tiers, but the wording is garbled. I'd treat it as a hint of what's planned and not as a finished quest.[6]
Mystical Agriculture
"Warning" quest is a warning quest asking for Prosperity Shard. It explains that most resource seeds were removed to make room for Flux Sieves (Ex Deorum) and the GeOres mod with Growth Accelerator Tiers. So in this pack, Growth Accelerator Tiers is part of how you make up for the missing seeds.[8]
Which Growth Accelerator Tiers config options matter?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
Everything for this mod lives in a single file, config/growthacceleratortiers-common.toml. Each accelerator tier (Boosted, Cranked and Directional) has options for how much power it uses while running, how big its internal energy buffer is, and how many times faster it ticks adjacent blocks. The pack changes only some of these, and only on the Boosted and Directional tiers.[5]
Values the pack changed
- [[config:config/growthacceleratortiers-common.toml#Boosted Growth Accelerator.boosted_idle_power_consumption]] is 200 in this pack. The mod default is 42, so the Boosted tier costs a lot more to run here.[5]
- [[config:config/growthacceleratortiers-common.toml#Directional Growth Accelerator.directional_idle_power_consumption]] is 160 in this pack. The mod default is 20.[5]
- [[config:config/growthacceleratortiers-common.toml#Directional Growth Accelerator.directional_speed_multiplier]] is 1.6 in this pack, down from the mod default of 2. The Directional tier is both slower and hungrier than it would be with default settings.[5]
Values left at the mod default
- Boosted: [[config:config/growthacceleratortiers-common.toml#Boosted Growth Accelerator.boosted_speed_multiplier]] is 4 and [[config:config/growthacceleratortiers-common.toml#Boosted Growth Accelerator.boosted_internal_energy_multiplier]] is 40.[5]
- Cranked: [[config:config/growthacceleratortiers-common.toml#Cranked Growth Accelerator.cranked_speed_multiplier]] is 8, [[config:config/growthacceleratortiers-common.toml#Cranked Growth Accelerator.cranked_idle_power_consumption]] is 8 and [[config:config/growthacceleratortiers-common.toml#Cranked Growth Accelerator.cranked_internal_energy_multiplier]] is 20. None of the Cranked values are changed.[5]
- Directional: [[config:config/growthacceleratortiers-common.toml#Directional Growth Accelerator.directional_internal_energy_multiplier]] is 32, the mod default.[5]
Reading the numbers
The config comments give you reference points against the normal AE2 Growth Accelerator. A speed multiplier of 1.0 imitates it, an idle power consumption of 8 imitates it, and an internal energy multiplier of 10 imitates it. So the Cranked tier's power use of 8 matches the AE2 reference, while its speed multiplier of 8 is well above it.[5]
