What is Farming for Blockheads?
Farming for Blockheads is part of the pack, and this pack ships version 21.1.8 of it for NeoForge on Minecraft 1.21.1. It has been included since the pack's 1.0 release or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the lineup.[1]
The mod's main block here is the Market. The pack's quest book points you to it in the food and farming chapter. The quest a quest in "?" has you obtain the Market, and it unlocks after an earlier quest in that same chapter. That makes the Market a natural early stop when you start building your food and farming setup.[2]
Unverified The sources I have don't describe what the Market sells, how it is crafted, or whether the pack changed any of its recipes or configs. They also don't show where else the mod fits in the progression. Check the quest in-game for the details before relying on anything beyond the quest requirement above.
How do you get started with Farming for Blockheads?
3 parts
Farming for Blockheads only needs a handful of items to get going in this pack. Here they are in the order I'd make them: the Market, the fertilizers, then the animal helpers.[3]
Make the Market first
Start with the Market. In this pack it has trades for Green Fertilizer, Red Fertilizer and Yellow Fertilizer. The recipe below is the mod's own, unchanged by the pack.[3]
The quest book asks for it too. The a quest in "?" quest sits in the food_and_farming chapter and comes after an untitled quest in that chapter.[2]
Craft your fertilizers
Fertilizer is the next thing to make. Green Fertilizer increases crop output, and the mod describes that as a chance of a bonus crop. Red Fertilizer gives a chance of bonus growth. Each of the fertilizer crafting recipes gives you 4 fertilizers.[3][4]

Set up your animals
Once your crops are sorted, the Chicken Nest collects eggs laid by chickens. In the same quest chapter, a quest in "?" comes after the lead quest, and a quest in "?" comes after the egg quest.[2][4]

The Feeding Trough auto-feeds nearby animals that are ready to mate, which saves you feeding each one by hand.[4]

How does Farming for Blockheads work?
4 parts
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.12.0 guide
Farming for Blockheads is a small mod with a few jobs: a shop for farming goods, automatic animal feeding, egg collection and fertilizer for your crops. Here is how each part works in this pack, as far as the sources explain it.[5][6]
The Market and the Merchant
The Market is a block with its own screen. The screen shows a cost for the offer you pick, and reads "No Selection" until you choose one. The mod also adds a Merchant entity.[5]
The pack's recipe data lists Green Fertilizer, Red Fertilizer and Yellow Fertilizer as Market offers, each with no item inputs listed.[6]
The mod has settings for merchants. One is a list of names the merchant can have. Another is called Treat Merchants like Babies. When it is on, merchants count as babies on a technical level only, which may resolve exploits based on merchant death loot (like blood).[5]
Automating animals
The Feeding Trough auto-feeds nearby animals that are ready to mate. Animals must be within its range to be fed. It also has a maximum number of animals per type, and once that is reached it stops feeding.[5]

The Chicken Nest collects eggs laid by chickens. It picks up laid eggs within a set range, and a mod setting controls that range.[5]

Unverified The actual values for the Feeding Trough range, the Feeding Trough max animals and the Chicken Nest range are not shown in the sources here, because no config file for this mod is available. Check the in-game config screen for them.
Fertilizer
Green Fertilizer increases crop output, and the mod has a Green Fertilizer Bonus Crop Chance setting for the chance to get a bonus crop. Red Fertilizer has a matching Red Fertilizer Bonus Growth Chance setting for the chance to get a bonus growth.[5]
Fertilized Farmland does not last forever. The Fertilizer Regression Chance setting is the chance, per provided bonus, that it turns back into regular Farmland.[5]
Crafting fertilizer in this pack
The pack changed the crafting recipes for green and red fertilizer. Each craft makes 4 of them.[6]

Yellow fertilizer uses the mod's own recipe and also makes 4 per craft.[6]

This is the mod's own recipe, not changed by the pack.
Unverified The pack's values for the fertilizer bonus and regression chances are not shown in the sources here, because no config file for this mod is available. Check the in-game config screen for them.
How do you progress through Farming for Blockheads?
3 parts
Farming for Blockheads has very little quest-book presence in this pack. The only quest in the food_and_farming chapter that asks for an item from this mod is a quest in "?", which wants you to hold a Market. It unlocks after one of the chapter's untitled quests. No quest asks for the fertilizers, the Chicken Nest or the Feeding Trough.[2]
Step 1: the Market
The Market is the starting point for this mod, and its crafting recipe is the mod's own, not changed by the pack.[3]
Step 2: the fertilizer tiers
The fertilizers come in yellow, red and green: Yellow Fertilizer, Red Fertilizer and Green Fertilizer. The pack has changed the crafting recipes for the red and green ones. Yellow still uses the mod's own recipe. The recipes below show exactly what each one needs and makes.[3]

The pack's recipe list also has a Market entry for each of these fertilizers, so you can get them from the Market as well as by crafting.[3]

Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use Farming for Blockheads?
2 parts
Farming for Blockheads shows up in one place in the pack's quest book: the "food_and_farming" chapter, which has 30 quests in total. Only a single quest in that chapter asks for an item from this mod.[2]
The Market quest
The quest a quest in "?" is a simple item task: you hand in a Market. It unlocks after one of the chapter's untitled quests. The book data doesn't give that quest a title, so I can't tell you which item it asks for.[2]
What else is in the chapter
The rest of the chapter is mostly vanilla food and farming goals, plus a Cooking for Blockheads line. Here is how the branches run.[2]
- Animals: a quest in "?" leads to a quest in "?" and a quest in "?". The egg quest unlocks a quest in "?", and the leather quest unlocks a quest in "?".[2]
- Crops: a quest in "?" leads to a quest in "?", a quest in "?" and a quest in "?". From there you reach a quest in "?", a quest in "?" and finally a quest in "?", which needs both the sugar and the wheat quests done.[2]
- Cooking: a quest in "?" leads to a quest in "?", then a quest in "?". After the cooking table, the chapter branches into kitchen pieces such as a quest in "?", a quest in "?", a quest in "?", a quest in "?", a quest in "?", a quest in "?" and a quest in "?".[2]
The Market quest is not part of those branches. It sits on its own, behind an untitled quest, so you can pick it up whenever you reach that point in the chapter.[2]
