What is Cobblemon: Legendary Monuments?
2 parts
Legendary Monuments gives Legendary and Mythical Pokémon real summoning mechanics instead of random spawns. You get new structures, new items and unique ways to call each one. You might collect footprints, craft ancient urns, gather Pokémon souls, work through a labyrinth or even answer questions. No more sitting AFK for hours hoping something shows up.[1]
This pack ships version 8.0.3 of the mod for NeoForge 1.21.1.[2]
Who it's for
It's for you if you want legendary hunting to feel like an adventure. The mod covers a long roster, including Zacian, Zamazenta, the Regis, the legendary birds, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Hoopa, Cosmog, Lugia, Palkia, Dialga, Giratina and Arceus. It needs Cobblemon, Chipped, Accessories, Cobblemon: Mega Showdown and Lithostitched to function.[1]
Where it fits in this pack
The mod is tied into the pack's quest book. Its legendaries get their own Legendaries chapter, and each quest lists a structure to find and a key item to bring. These quests unlock after a quest called Legendary Monuments. A few examples:[3]
- "Lugia" quest: head to the Lugia Temple with a Vortex Stone, which is proof that you have mastered Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres.[3]
- "Heatran" quest: descend into the Heatran Cave carrying a Magma Stone.[3]
- "Mew" quest: follow an Old Sea Map to the Final Island.[3]
- "Victini" quest: get a Liberty Pass to reach the hidden chamber under Liberty Island's lighthouse.[3]
- "Hoopa" quest: open the Hoopa Pyramid with a Temple Key.[3]
Unverified Beyond the quest chapter, the sources don't show where this mod sits in the pack's wider progression, or whether the pack changes any of the mod's defaults.
How do you get started with Cobblemon: Legendary Monuments?
3 parts
Legendary Monuments adds structures, summoning mechanics and items for Legendaries and Mythicals, so you are not left waiting for one to spawn. In this pack, the Legendaries quest chapter has a quest for many of them, placed after the Legendary Monuments quest. Most of those quests list a structure task, an item task and a custom task, so your first job is working out which item you need and how to get it.[1][3]
Craft the Arc Phone
Start with the Arc Phone. The tooltip of the Clear Bell says it can be used to track Ecruteak Village with the Arc Phone, so the phone is how you track structures. The pack changed this recipe from the mod's own, so don't trust recipes from other guides.[4][5]

Pick an easy first target
Some summoning items are crafted from very few parts. The Magma Stone is the one for Heatran. Its tooltip says it summons Heatran at his cave in the Nether, and the quest "Heatran" quest asks you to carry it into the Heatran Cave.[3][4][5]

This is the Magma Stone recipe as the pack has it.
The Light Stone and Dark Stone are each crafted from a single kind of shard. They are the items for Reshiram and Zekrom, and their quests send you to the Dragonspiral Tower. The tooltips add that the Light Stone is used alongside a fire gem and the Dark Stone alongside an electric gem.[3][4][5]

Work up to the bigger chains
Some items are built from other mod items, so plan ahead. The Vortex Stone combines the Arctic Stone, the Molten Stone and the Zap Stone. The Lugia quest, "Lugia" quest, describes the Vortex Stone as proof that you have mastered Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres.[3][4]
The Vortex Stone is shapeless, so the stones can go anywhere in the grid.
The Red Chain is another item built from other mod items. Keep an eye on Azelf's Fang, Mesprit's Plume and Uxie's Claw as you work toward it; the recipe below shows exactly how they fit together. The Dialga and Palkia quests both ask you to bring the Red Chain to the Spear Pillar.[3][4][5]
One Red Chain covers both the Dialga and Palkia quests.
How does Cobblemon: Legendary Monuments work?
5 parts
Here's the thing to know first: Legendary Monuments isn't a machine-and-pipes mod. It adds unique summoning mechanics, structures and items so you earn Legendary and Mythical Pokémon instead of waiting for them to spawn. The core mechanic is the summon itself.[1]
Unverified The sources I was given don't describe any machines, multiblocks, power, fluid handling or automation for this mod, and no config files for it are available in the pack. I'm leaving those topics out rather than guessing.
One summon per player
Summons are one-time per player per structure. On a server, each player can get one legendary from the same pedestal. If you need to use a pedestal again, the Medallion of Renewal breaks pedestal seals so you can use them once more.[1][5]
Every legendary that has a spawn added by the mod has a 2% chance to be shiny.[1]
Summon items and how they work
Most summons follow the same pattern: you gather or craft a special item, then use it at the right structure or by right-clicking. The tooltips tell you a lot. Here are the ones the sources confirm.[5]
- Urns charge up when you defeat Pokémon of the matching type. When the tooltip says it's ready, right-click to release the power.[5]
- Several summon items trigger on right-click. The Curry of Justice lures Keldeo, the Full Moon Whistle summons Cresselia, and the New Moon Whistle summons Darkrai.[5]
- Proofs of Conquest summon the Lake Guardians on right-click: Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie, each with its own proof.[5]
- The Red Chain is used to summon Palkia and Dialga at the Spear Pillar. It can be fixed with origin ingots found in the Distortion World.[5]
- The Disc of the First Song summons Meloetta at its special Jukebox. Disc of the First Song Fragment items restore the disc.[5]
- Dyna Tree Saplings grow a Giant Dyna Tree when you place 25 of them in a 5x5 formation.[5]
- Meltan evolves when you give it 64 Meltan Candy.[5]

Gathering ingredients
Some items come from gameplay rather than crafting. Dream String drops from defeating Pokémon at night, and you use it to craft the Dream Catcher. Sacred Ash comes from defeating Pokémon with Ho-Oh in your party. It restores your whole party's HP and PP, but you can't use it mid-battle.[4][5]

Keys and flutes
The Azure Flute is used to enter the Hall of Origin, and the Celestica Flute is the flute used to craft it. The exact recipe is below. The Space Globe, Time Globe and Antimatter Globe tie into Palkia, Dialga and Giratina respectively.[4][5]
At Snowpoint Temple, the Dragon Golem Key unlocks the Regieleki/Regidrago room. You craft it using a Dragon Golem Ingot, which can itself be made from a Golem Scrap or turned back from a Dragon Golem Block.[4][5]

How do you progress through Cobblemon: Legendary Monuments?
4 parts
Progression in this pack is driven by the Legendaries quest chapter. Most quests there aren't a straight ladder. They unlock after a quest called Legendary Monuments, so once that's done you can pick your own order. A smaller group chains off other captures, and that's where the real tiers come from.[3]
Tier 1: Open once Legendary Monuments is done
These quests each ask you to find a structure and bring one key item. Several of those items are crafted with in-pack recipes.[3]
- "Lugia" quest needs a Vortex Stone at the Lugia Temple. The quest calls it proof that you've mastered Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres.[3]
- "Heatran" quest needs a Magma Stone taken to the Heatran Cave.[3]
- "Reshiram" quest needs a Light Stone, and "Zekrom" quest needs a Dark Stone. Both are brought to the Dragonspiral Tower, and each stone can be crafted from its shard.[3][4]
- "Dialga" quest and "Palkia" quest both use a Red Chain at the Spear Pillar.[3]
- "Arceus" quest needs the Azure Flute to open the way to the Hall of Origin.[3]

The Snowpoint Temple titans each want their own golem key: "Regirock" quest, "Regice" quest, "Registeel" quest, "Regieleki" quest and "Regidrago" quest. Each key has its own in-pack recipe, and the Dragon Golem Ingot used for the Dragon Golem Key has one too. Both are shown below.[3][4]

Next tier: gated by earlier captures
- "Kyurem" quest unlocks after Reshiram and Zekrom. You need both the Truth Bottle and the Ideals Bottle, gathered from those two dragons.[3]
- "Regigigas" quest unlocks after all five Regis. You then bring the Titan Key to the Snowpoint Temple.[3]
- "Ho-Oh" quest unlocks after Entei, Raikou and Suicune. You combine the feathers won from them into a Rainbow Feather, then climb the Bell Tower.[3]
- "Galarian Articuno" quest unlocks after Articuno, and "Galarian Zapdos" quest unlocks after Zapdos. Each uses a Galarian version of the matching urn.[3]

Charge-and-summon and tracking quests
The Kanto birds have no monument. "Articuno" quest, "Zapdos" quest and "Moltres" quest each use an urn that you charge by defeating Pokémon of the matching type: Ice, Electric and Fire. "Cresselia" quest and "Darkrai" quest use the Fulmoon Whistle and the Newmoon Whistle, sounded at night.[3]

How does Cobblemon: Legendary Monuments work with other mods?
2 parts
Legendary Monuments leans on other mods for several of its crafting recipes. In this pack, the links come from Cobblemon items, Mega Showdown Tera Shards and a few vanilla materials. Most of them are recipes for the keys, treats and urns used to summon legendaries.[4]
Cobblemon: gems, berries and stones
This is the biggest link. Several summoning items are crafted from Cobblemon gems, berries and evolution stones, so it pays to stock up on those before you go hunting.[4]
The golem keys are built in a chain. You make a type-matched golem ingot from a Cobblemon gem and a Golem Scrap, then craft the key from that ingot and another gem of the same type. The pack has this chain for the rock, ice, steel, electric and dragon variants.[4]
Step one of the chain, shown here for the Rock Golem Key.

Next step: the ingot becomes the key.
Those keys are what the Regi quests ask for: "Regirock" quest, "Regice" quest, "Registeel" quest, "Regieleki" quest and "Regidrago" quest. Each one has you bring the matching golem key to the Snowpoint Temple.[3][4]
The treats are another Cobblemon link, and the Poketreat Box appears in every treat recipe. The Latias Treat and Latios Treat are what the "Latias" quest and "Latios" quest quests want. The Entei Treat, Raikou Treat and Suicune Treat are crafted in the same style, and the recipes below show the exact ingredients.[3][4]

The urns pair a Cobblemon evolution stone with vanilla materials. The Urn of Embers uses a Fire Stone, the Urn of Frost uses an Ice Stone, and the Urn of Storms uses a Thunder Stone.[4]

The Cosmic Catalyst (Cosmic Catalyst) also uses Cobblemon items, namely a Psychic Gem, a Star Sweet and an Ultra Ball, alongside vanilla materials.[4]

Mega Showdown: Tera shards and blocks
Legendary Monuments adds a Tera Block for each type that has a recipe in the pack, and each block connects to the matching Tera Shard from Mega Showdown. For example, the Fire Tera Shard crafts into the Fire Tera Block. The conversion works both ways, so a block can be turned back into its shard.[4]

Which All the Mons quests use Cobblemon: Legendary Monuments?
3 parts
Every Legendary Monuments quest lives in one chapter, "Legendaries". Most of them unlock after a quest called Legendary Monuments, and a handful unlock after Footprint Tracking. Each quest asks for one signature item, and most also have a structure task and a custom task. The bird, moon and Swords of Justice quests have no structure task.[3]

What changed in Cobblemon: Legendary Monuments between versions?
1 part
All the Mons 1.1.1 ships Cobblemon: Legendary Monuments 8.0.3. The mod has been in the pack since All the Mons 1.0.0 or earlier, so it's been part of the pack from the start of the versions we can see here.[2]
Version 8.0.3
This is the version you're playing with in 1.1.1, and the mod's own changelog lists two changes:[2][6]
- Fixed Pokemon Trial Spawners not dropping rewards.[6]
- Improved generation of the Throneroom of Knightly Heroes.[6]
There are no pack changelog entries for this mod, and I don't have the changelogs for the mod's earlier releases. So I can't tell you what changed between the version in 1.0.0 and the one in 1.1.1.[2]
