What is Additional Enchanted Miner?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.12 guide
Additional Enchanted Miner adds advanced miners in the spirit of BuildCraft's quarry. The twist is that these machines can carry enchantments, so you can set them up to collect resources automatically with Fortune or Silk Touch.[1]
This pack ships version 21.1.116 of the mod for NeoForge. It has been in the pack since 0.42 or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the mod list.[2]
What it's good for
- Automated mining with enchantments: the machines can use Fortune or Silk Touch to collect resources without you standing there.[1]
- Fluid handling: QuarryPlus removes fluids with Pump Plus or a Pump Module. The more advanced Chunk Destroyer removes fluids without any settings.[1]
- Flexible power: the machines accept EU and Forge Energy.[1]
Where it fits in the pack
Unverified The sources I have don't say where in the pack's progression this mod fits, and they don't cover any quests or an ATM Star route for it. Treat any claims about its place in progression as unconfirmed.
How do you get started with Additional Enchanted Miner?
4 parts
Additional Enchanted Miner adds miners in the style of BC's quarry. They collect resources automatically and can use Fortune or Silk Touch. In this pack, the extras you add to a quarry mostly start from one cheap item, the Marker Plus.[1][3]
Step 1: Make a Marker Plus
The recipes for the modules, the status checker, the Y setter and more all take a marker. The Marker Plus is therefore your first craft. Make a few, because you will keep coming back to it.[3]

Step 2: Craft the Quarry Plus
The Quarry Plus is the main machine, and it is enabled in this pack's config. This pack adds its own recipe for it, so use the one below rather than relying on what you remember from other packs.[3][4]

Energy matters here. noEnergy is false in this pack, so the machine needs power to run. The quarry's energy buffer, powerMap.quarry.maxEnergy, is set to 10,000.[4]
Step 3: Other markers
Once you have a Marker Plus, you can turn it into a Flexible Marker or a Chunk Marker. Both are enabled in this pack, and each can also be converted into the other.[3][4]

Step 4: Add modules when you need them
These modules are enabled in this pack, and each one has its own recipe:[3][4]
- Quarry Pump Module: the mod's page says fluids are removed by the quarry with a Pump Plus or a Pump Module.[1][3][4]
- Void Module: removes items mined by the quarry. Right click to register what to remove.[4][5]
- Quarry Exp Collect Module: the Quarry Exp Collect Module.[3][4]
- Enchantment Mover: the Enchantment Mover.[3][4]

How does Additional Enchanted Miner work?
6 parts
Additional Enchanted Miner adds miners in the style of BuildCraft's quarry. Its machines can work with Fortune or Silk Touch, and they accept both EU and Forge Energy. The main machine in this pack is Quarry Plus, and most of what follows revolves around it.[1]
Power
The pack leaves noEnergy off, so your machines need real power. powerMap.quarry.maxEnergy is 10,000 for the Quarry Plus. The Chunk Destroyer has a larger buffer setting of 50,000, but see the warning below about that machine.[4]
The Quarry Plus has its own set of cost settings under powerMap.quarry. In this pack they are:[4]
- powerMap.quarry.breakBlockBase: 25 for breaking a block.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.breakBlockFluid: 125 for breaking a fluid block.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.makeFrame: 15 for making the frame.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.moveHeadBase: 1 for moving the head.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.expCollect: 2.5 for collecting experience.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.breakSilktouchCoefficient: 4, the multiplier for Silk Touch.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.breakFortuneCoefficient: about 1.587401, the multiplier for Fortune.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.breakEfficiencyCoefficient: about 1.379730, and powerMap.quarry.efficiencyCoefficient: about 1.584893, for Efficiency.[4]
The config comments list these same numbers as the mod's defaults, so the pack has not changed the quarry's costs. The config file does not state what unit the costs are in, so I won't guess.[4]
Fluids
The mod removes fluids with Pump Plus or the pump module, while the more advanced Chunk Destroyer removes fluids without any setup. In this pack the Quarry Pump Module is enabled through enableMap.pump_module, and the Chunk Destroyer is switched off (more on that below).[1][4]
The mod's own tooltip describes the Advanced Pump as a standalone pump that you place above a fluid block. Its screen has a delete option. When it is on, fluids are sent to void, which is handy for getting rid of water. When it is off, fluids are moved to a tank. The mod's screens also include RemoveLava, RemoveLiquid and RemoveWater buttons.[5]
Modules
Modules are installed into a machine to add features. The ones the pack leaves enabled are:[4]
- Quarry Pump Module, covered above.[4]
- Quarry Exp Collect Module, the experience collection module, enabled in enableMap.exp_module.[4]
- Void Module, called the Void Module. Its tooltip says to right click to register, and that it removes items mined by the quarry.[4][5]
Marking the area
The mod has three markers: Marker Plus, Flexible Marker and Chunk Marker. The config has switches for the Flexible Marker and the Chunk Marker, and both are enabled in the pack. The mod's tooltips show an area as two corner positions, and the Flexible Marker can also store a machine position and reset its controller configuration.[4][5]
You can convert between the Flexible Marker and the Chunk Marker by crafting.[3]

Other settings
- enableChunkLoader is true, so chunk loading in machines is enabled.[4]
- removeBedrockOnNetherTop is false, so bedrock at y=127 in the Nether is not removed.[4]
- convertDeepslateOres is false, so deepslate ores are not converted to normal ores.[4]
- Placer Plus changes mode when you right click it with a Redstone Torch.[5]
Getting the Quarry Plus
The recipe for the Quarry Plus is one the pack adds itself, so check it before you plan your progression.[3]

How do you progress through Additional Enchanted Miner?
4 parts
Additional Enchanted Miner (Additional Enchanted Miner) has no quest chapter in this pack, so there is no quest order to follow. What you can follow is the crafting chain: nearly everything in the mod grows out of one starter item, the Marker Plus, and the Quarry itself sits at the far end behind a pack-specific recipe.[3]
Markers
Start with the Marker Plus. It is crafted from ordinary materials, and it is the base for almost everything else in the mod.[3]

The Marker Plus is the entry point for the whole mod.
From there you can upgrade it into a Flexible Marker or a Chunk Marker. Both are made from a Marker Plus. The recipes also let you convert between the two, so you can swap one for the other if you picked the wrong one.[3]

Utilities and placers
Once you have markers, the next tier is the helper gear. The StatusChecker and the Quarry Y Setter both use a marker as an ingredient.[3]

The placer line is a short chain, with the Placer Plus leading up to the Remote Placer. The Enchantment Mover (Enchantment Mover) sits alongside them. The exact recipes are shown below.[3]

Modules
The modules are the most involved crafts before the Quarry. Each one uses a marker as an ingredient, and several also need rarer items such as ender pearls or dragon's breath. These are the modules in this pack:[3]
- Quarry Exp Collect Module (Quarry Exp Collect Module)[3]
- Void Module (Void Module), a shapeless recipe[3]
- Quarry Pump Module (Quarry Pump Module)[3]
- Remove Bedrock Module (Remove Bedrock Module)[3]
- Faster Work Module (Faster Work Module)[3]

The Quarry
The Quarry Plus (Quarry Plus) is where the pack changes things. Its recipe is added by the pack through KubeJS, and it draws on gear from AllTheModium and Just Dire Things rather than the mod's own materials. Treat it as a late-game craft, and gather those items before you plan your quarry setup.[3]

How does Additional Enchanted Miner work with other mods?
1 part
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
The clearest link between Additional Enchanted Miner and the rest of the pack is how you get its main machine. The pack adds its own KubeJS recipe for Quarry Plus, so it is not a standalone mod craft. The ingredients come from Allthemodium, Just Dire Things and Productive Lib.[6]
Shaped (kubejs)
Recipe id: kubejs:kjs/quarryplus_quarry
This shaped recipe is added by the pack through KubeJS.
Because the recipe is pack-defined, go by the one shown above and not by what you may remember from the mod elsewhere. It combines Allthemodium items, Just Dire Things items and a Productive Lib upgrade item.[6]
Mods it depends on
Outside the pack recipe, the mod's own project page lists Scalable Cat's Force as a requirement on all platforms. Its machines accept EU and Forge Energy.[1]
Which Additional Enchanted Miner config options matter?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Everything lives in one file, config/quarryplus.toml. Most of it is untouched mod defaults, but the pack changes two switches, and those matter more than anything else here.[7]
What the pack changed
- enableMap.adv_quarry is set to false. The mod default is true, so the pack switches this machine off.[7]
- enableMap.remove_bedrock_module is set to false. The mod default is true, so the pack switches off the module that removes bedrock.[7]
Machines and modules that stay on
The basic quarry (enableMap.quarry), the mover, both markers (chunk and flexible), and the exp, filter and pump modules are all enabled, the same as the mod default. enableMap.repeat_tick_module stays false, which is also the default.[7]
enableChunkLoader is true, so machines can use the chunk loader, as in the default.[7]
Energy settings
noEnergy is false, so your machines still need power. The pack hasn't turned on the free-energy mode.[7]
The quarry's power numbers all match the mod defaults. powerMap.quarry.maxEnergy is 10,000, powerMap.quarry.breakBlockBase is 25, powerMap.quarry.makeFrame is 15 and powerMap.quarry.breakBlockFluid is 125.[7]
The Advanced Quarry also has its own power entries, such as powerMap.advQuarry.maxEnergy at 50,000. They are all at default, and the machine is disabled in this pack anyway, so you can ignore them.[7]
rebornEnergyConversionCoefficient is 0.0625, which is the default. The file's own comment marks it as Fabric only.[7]
World-related options
- removeBedrockOnNetherTop is false, the default. Bedrock at y=127 in the Nether is not removed.[7]
- convertDeepslateOres is false, the default. Deepslate ores are not converted to normal ores.[7]
- removeCommonMaterialsByChunkDestroyer is true, the default. Common base blocks from the Overworld and Nether are removed from what the Chunk Destroyer collects.[7]
- debug is false, the default.[7]
What changed in Additional Enchanted Miner between versions?
1 part
All the Mons 0.10.0-beta ships Additional Enchanted Miner 21.1.144. The mod has been in the pack since 0.3.0-beta or earlier, so you've likely had it for a while.[8]
Changes in the mod's own changelogs
- 21.1.144: adds a config option called digFromMaxY, which makes the miner start digging from the top of the frame. This is the version the pack currently includes.[8][9]
- 21.1.141: adds handling for exceptions that can occur when the miner gets the drops of a block. This is already part of the 21.1.144 build you have.[8][10]
I don't have any pack changelog entries for this mod, so I can't say how or when it changed between pack releases beyond the version listed above.[8]
