What is RFTools Power?
1 part
Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.36 guide
RFTools Power is an addon for the RFTools mods that handles power. It gives you several ways to generate energy and a couple of ways to store a lot of it, so it's a good pick if you're already running RFTools machines and want power that fits the same family.[1]
This pack ships RFTools Power version 1.21-7.0.1.[2]
What you get
- A simple generator that burns coal or charcoal, which is your easy entry point into power.[1]
- The blazing generator, which makes power from blaze rods.[1]
- The endergenic generator, which makes power from ender pearls.[1]
- A dimensional powercell that stores power and moves it across great distances, even between dimensions.[1]
- A power storage multiblock for when you need to bank a lot of power.[1]
The generators follow a clear path: coal in the early game, blaze rods once you've been to the Nether, and ender pearls after that. On the storage side, the dimensional powercell is the one to reach for if your base is spread out or you want power in another dimension.[1]
Unverified No quest or progression data from this pack is available for this mod, so its exact place in the pack's progression is unconfirmed.
How do you get started with RFTools Power?
5 parts
RFTools Power is an addon for the RFTools mods that adds power generators and power storage. It needs RFTools Base to work. The order below goes from a simple generator, to storage, to the fancier generators.[1]
Start with the Coal Generator
The Coal Generator produces RF/FE from coal or charcoal, so it is the simple way to get power flowing. In this pack it makes 60 RF per tick (general.coalgenerator.generatePerTick) and each coal lasts 600 ticks (general.coalgenerator.ticksPerCoal). Both match the mod defaults.[1][3][4]
Store power in a Powercell
Powercells store power and can be joined with other cells into one big multiblock. Right click a side with a wrench to toggle it between input and output. Make the Power Core (Low) first, since power cores are crafting ingredients for powercells, then the Powercell (Low).[3]

Recipe id: rftoolspower:cell1
In this pack a Low cell holds 500,000 RF (general.powercell.tier1MaxRF) and moves 250 RF per tick per side (general.powercell.tier1MaxRFPerTick). A single multiblock network can have up to 729 blocks (general.powercell.networkMax).[4]
The Powercell (Medium) holds 4,000,000 RF (general.powercell.tier2MaxRF) and moves 1,000 RF per tick per side (general.powercell.tier2MaxRFPerTick). The Powercell (High) holds 20,000,000 RF (general.powercell.tier3MaxRF) and moves 4,000 RF per tick per side (general.powercell.tier3MaxRFPerTick).[3][4]
Keep an eye on your power
The Power Monitor sends a redstone signal depending on the amount of power in the block it targets. The Power Level shows a digit for the amount of power in something and sends out a redstone signal of the same strength.[3]
Step up to the Blazing Generator
The Blazing Generator makes power from blaze rods, but the rods have to be agitated first in the Blazing Agitator. Build both. The Blazing Infuser is optional: it infuses a blazing rod to improve power production or how long it lasts.[3]

The generator stores up to 1,000,000 RF (general.blazing.blazingGeneratorMaxPower) and can push 20,000 RF per tick out of each side (general.blazing.blazingGeneratorSendPerTick).[4]
Save the Endergenic for later
The Endergenic makes power from ender pearls. It needs at least two generators, the setup is relatively complicated and timing is crucial. The Pearl Injector injects a pearl into an adjacent endergenic when it gets a redstone signal. The Ender Monitor detects changes in an adjacent endergenic and sends a redstone signal.[3]

If you need to store power across great distances or between dimensions, the dimensional cells are the option for that, and the Powercell Card is used to connect them.[1][3]
How does RFTools Power work?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.6 guide
RFTools Power is an addon for the RFTools mods that adds power generators and power storage. It needs RFTools Base to work. The sources for this pack only explain the big picture, so this section covers what each system is for and how the pack changed the recipes. It does not cover exact numbers.[1]
Power generation
- Coal Generator: the simple option. It generates power from coal or charcoal.[1][6]
- Blazing Generator: generates power from blaze rods.[1][6]
- Endergenic: generates power from ender pearls. The pack changed its recipe, so don't rely on the mod's default.[1][6]

The pack also has recipes for the Blazing Agitator, Blazing Infuser, Pearl Injector and Ender Monitor. The sources don't say how they work with the generators.[6]
Dimensional cells
The dimensional cell is the mod's long-range storage. It can store power and transfer it across great distances, even between dimensions. The pack has three versions: Dimensional Cell (Simple), Dimensional Cell and Dimensional Cell (Advanced).[1][6]
The pack changed the recipes for the simple and standard cells. The advanced cell keeps the mod recipe, and you make it by upgrading a standard cell.[6]

Multiblock power storage
For bulk storage the mod has a multiblock that can store a lot of power. In this pack it comes in low, medium and high tiers. The Power Core (Low), Power Core (Medium) and Power Core (High) all use pack-changed recipes.[1][6]

The powercells follow the same tiers: Powercell (Low), Powercell (Medium) and Powercell (High). You craft the low cell from a low power core. The medium cell is crafted from a low powercell plus a medium power core, and the high cell from a medium powercell plus a high power core. So you upgrade a cell in place rather than starting over.[6]

Monitoring
The mod includes the Power Monitor and Power Level blocks, plus the Ender Monitor mentioned above. All three have mod-default recipes in the pack.[6]
Unverified The sources don't confirm power output or capacity numbers, how the storage multiblock is assembled, how the endergenic and its pearl injector work, what the blazing agitator and infuser do, what the powercell card does, how the monitors behave, or how to automate power, fluid or item transfer. This pack also ships no config files for the mod, so don't assume any config values.
How do you progress through RFTools Power?
4 parts
RFTools Power is about generating and storing energy, and in this pack it runs on a few clear tiers. There are no pack quests for it, so the recipes are the only roadmap. Everything below follows what the in-pack recipes tell us.[5]
Unverified No quests in this pack are known to involve RFTools Power, so there is no quest-driven order for it. The tier order below is inferred from the recipes, not from a quest line.
Tier 1: Power Cores and Powercells
The core of the progression is the three-step Power Core line: Power Core (Low), Power Core (Medium) and Power Core (High). The pack has changed all three recipes, so don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults. Here is the Low core.[5]

The cores feed into the Powercell line, starting with Powercell (Low). After that, Powercell (Medium) and Powercell (High) are each an upgrade step on the tier before, and both upgrade recipes use the mod's component-copying recipe type. The recipes below show exactly what each step needs.[5]

The Powercell Card is another recipe the pack changed, so use the version below.[5]
Tier 2: Dimensional Cells
The Dimensional Cell line has three steps too. Dimensional Cell (Simple) and Dimensional Cell both use pack-changed recipes, while Dimensional Cell (Advanced) uses the mod's recipe. The recipes below show exactly what each step needs.[5]

How does RFTools Power work with other mods?
3 parts
RFTools Power is an addon, and it needs RFTools Base to work. In this pack that link shows up in the crafting recipes: every recipe in the sources uses a Base component such as Machine Frame or Machine Base. Some also use Infused Diamond, Infused Enderpearl or Dimensional Shard.[1][5]
Unverified The sources here show no quests that involve RFTools Power, so this section rests only on the in-pack crafting recipes.
Vanilla items
Vanilla redstone items are everywhere in this mod's recipes: Redstone, Redstone Block, Redstone Torch and Comparator. Other vanilla items appear in specific machines. The Pearl Injector needs a Hopper, and the Dimensional Cell line uses Quartz and Prismarine Shard.[5]
Common tags
Several recipes ask for any item from a shared tag instead of one specific item. The tags used are glass blocks, glass panes, iron ingots, blaze rods, diamonds, emeralds, ender pearls and chests. Examples are the Blazing Agitator, Blazing Generator, Blazing Infuser and Ender Monitor.[5]
Recipes the pack changed
Some recipes in this pack differ from the mod's defaults: the Dimensional Cell, the Dimensional Cell (Simple), the Endergenic, the Power Core (Medium) and the Power Core (High). The recipes below are the pack's versions, so follow these rather than any recipe you remember from the mod on its own.[5]

Which RFTools Power config options matter?
5 parts
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
Good news: every option in the RFTools Power server config is left at the mod default in this pack. Nothing was changed, so the numbers below are both the pack's values and the mod's own. Here are the ones you are most likely to care about.[7]
Coal generator
- general.coalgenerator.generatePerTick is 60 RF per tick, and general.coalgenerator.ticksPerCoal is 600 ticks per coal.[7]
- general.coalgenerator.generatorMaxRF sets the buffer at 500,000 RF, and general.coalgenerator.generatorRFPerTick lets it send 2,000 RF per tick.[7]
Power cell multiblock
- Tier 1 cells hold 500,000 RF (general.powercell.tier1MaxRF) at 250 RF per tick per side (general.powercell.tier1MaxRFPerTick).[7]
- Tier 2 cells hold 4,000,000 RF (general.powercell.tier2MaxRF) at 1,000 RF per tick per side (general.powercell.tier2MaxRFPerTick).[7]
- Tier 3 cells hold 20,000,000 RF (general.powercell.tier3MaxRF) at 4,000 RF per tick per side (general.powercell.tier3MaxRFPerTick).[7]
- A single network can have up to 729 blocks (general.powercell.networkMax).[7]
- general.powercell.rfPerTickScale is 0.25. It controls how much extra RF per tick each cell gets per cell in the network: 0 means constant, 1 means linear.[7]
Dimensional cell
- A normal cell stores 1,000,000 RF (general.dimensionalcell.rfPerNormalCell) with a base of 5,000 RF per tick (general.dimensionalcell.rfPerTick).[7]
- The simple cell is 4 times worse (general.dimensionalcell.simpleFactor) and the advanced cell 4 times better (general.dimensionalcell.advancedFactor), for both RF and RF per tick.[7]
- Pulling power from another dimension or from far away costs extra. The maximum cost factor is 1.1 (general.dimensionalcell.powerCellCostFactor), reached at a distance of 10,000 blocks (general.dimensionalcell.powerCellDistanceCap). The same distance is used for cells in different dimensions.[7]
- Unconnected cells use a minimum distance of 100 (general.dimensionalcell.powerCellMinDistance) for the cost factor. If RFTools dimensions are involved, the distance is multiplied by 0.5 (general.dimensionalcell.powerCellRFToolsDimensionAdvantage), and twice if both sides are RFTools dimensions.[7]
Endergenic generator
- It stores up to 5,000,000 RF (general.endergenic.endergenicMaxPower) and can send 20,000 RF per tick to adjacent blocks (general.endergenic.endergenicSendPerTick).[7]
- Holding a pearl uses 500 RF every tick (general.endergenic.endergenicRfHolding), and each endergenic keeps 2,000 RF for itself so it can hold pearls (general.endergenic.endergenicKeepRf).[7]
- general.endergenic.endergenicChanceLost is 5, measured in tenths of a percent (1000 is 100%), so that is the chance a pearl is lost while being held.[7]
- general.endergenic.powergenFactor is a power generation multiplier, set to 2.[7]
Blazing generator, agitator and infuser
- The blazing generator stores 1,000,000 RF (general.blazing.blazingGeneratorMaxPower) and gives 20,000 RF per side per tick to adjacent machines (general.blazing.blazingGeneratorSendPerTick).[7]
- The blazing agitator stores 50,000 RF (general.blazing.blazingAgitatorMaxPower), accepts 100 RF per tick per side (general.blazing.blazingAgitatorRFPerTick) and uses 10 RF per tick while operating (general.blazing.blazingAgitatorUsePerTick).[7]
- The blazing infuser uses the same numbers: 50,000 RF (general.blazing.blazingInfuserMaxPower), 100 RF per tick input per side (general.blazing.blazingInfuserRFPerTick) and 10 RF per tick in use (general.blazing.blazingInfuserUsePerTick).[7]
