What is Mystical Agradditions?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.10.0-beta guide

Mystical Agradditions is an add-on for Mystical Agriculture. It stretches the crop system past the existing tiers, with a new top tier and some extra tools on the side.[1]

What it adds

  • Tier 6 essence, called Insanium.[1]
  • Tier 6 crops for high tier materials. The project page lists Nether Star, Dragon Egg, Gaia Spirit (Botania), Awakened Draconium (Draconic Evolution), Neutronium (Avaritia) and Nitro Crystal (Powah).[1]
  • Paxels, which combine a Pickaxe, Axe and Shovel in a single tool.[1]
  • Tinkers' Construct integration.[1]
  • Essence Coal, which can cook more items than regular Coal.[1]

That crop list on the project page was last updated for version 7.0.2, and the pack ships a newer build. Treat it as a guide to the kind of crops the mod adds, not as a confirmed list for this pack.[1][2]

Version in the pack

This pack includes Mystical Agradditions 9.0.4. The mod has been in the pack since version 0.0.19 or earlier.[2]

Quest book placement

Unverified Where this mod sits in the pack's quest book (its chapter and group, and what comes before and after it) and whether the ATM Star path uses it are not shown by the sources here. Check the pack's quest book in game for the details.

How do you get started with Mystical Agradditions?

5 parts

Mystical Agradditions is an add-on for Mystical Agriculture. It adds Insanium, a tier 6 essence above Supremium, plus tier 6 crops, Paxels and Essence Coal. Here is the order I would tackle it in.[1][3]

Step one: get Insanium Essence

Insanium Essence is the gateway to everything else, because it is what you use to create Tier 6 Crops. You can craft it with the recipe below.[3][4]

If you keep bees, there is another route: the Productive Bees centrifuge also produces Insanium Essence along with Wax.[4]

Step two: prepare a Crux and farmland

Tier 6 crops are fussy. They need a Crux below the farmland to grow, and they never drop a second seed when harvested. The Dragon Egg Crux is one of the Cruxes the mod adds, alongside others such as the Nether Star Crux.[3]

You will also want Insanium Farmland to plant on. It has its own recipe in the pack.[4]

Watch out: In this pack General.fertilizableTier6Crops is set to false, so you cannot speed up tier 6 crops with Mystical Fertilizer or Fertilized Essence. Plan for them to grow on their own.[3][5]

Step three: make the resource components

The mod's tier 6 resource crops include Nether Star and Dragon Egg. Two items tied to those have their own recipes: Nether Star Shard and Dragon Egg Chunk.[1][4]

The pack also adds a Productive Bees centrifuge recipe that produces a Nether Star Shard and Wax, which is a handy shortcut if you already run bees.[4]

Step four: grab a Paxel and some food

Paxels work as a Pickaxe, Axe and Shovel in one tool. The mod has several of them, and Inferium Paxel is a good one to start with.[3][4]

Essence Apples are a much healthier alternative to regular apples, giving buffs and extra nutrition. The pack leaves their effect duration at 180 seconds, the same as the mod default. Essence Coal, such as Inferium Coal, can cook more items than regular Coal.[1][3][5]

      Extra ores

Nether and End Inferium and Prosperity ores are all enabled in this pack. Those in the Nether usually spawn at all Y levels there, and those in the End do the same in the End.[3][5]

      How does Mystical Agradditions work?

      7 parts

Mystical Agradditions has no machines, multiblocks, power or fluid networks of its own that the sources describe. Its mechanics are about farming a sixth essence tier on top of Mystical Agriculture, plus a few drops, ores and food and tool upgrades. The pack also adds smeltery recipes for several of its materials.[1][3]

      Tier 6 crops and Insanium

Insanium Essence is an extra essence tier above Supremium, and it is what Tier 6 crops are made from. Tier 6 crops behave differently from the lower tiers: they need a Crux below the farmland to grow, and they never drop a second seed when harvested.[3]

Cruxes are blocks you place under a Tier 6 crop so that it can grow. The mod's resource crops cover Nether Star, Dragon Egg, Gaia Spirit, Awakened Draconium, Neutronium and Nitro Crystal, and each of those has its own Crux block.[1][3]

The Nether Star, Gaia Spirit, Awakened Draconium and Dragon Egg Crux blocks each drop themselves when broken, so you can pick one up and move it.[6][7][8][9]

Unverified What the Neutronium Crux and Nitro Crystal Crux drop when broken is set in block loot table files that the sources here do not show.

The farmland itself is Insanium Farmland. Its tier shows up in Jade as the Essence Farmland tier, and the pack has a farmland tilling recipe for it.[3][4]

Watch out: Tier 6 crops usually cannot be grown with Mystical Fertilizer or Fertilized Essence. In this pack General.fertilizableTier6Crops is set to false, so don't count on fertilizer to speed them up.[3][5]

        Getting Insanium Essence and shards

You can craft Insanium Essence with a shaped crafting recipe. With Productive Bees, the Insanium honeycomb also gives Insanium Essence and Wax in a centrifuge.[4]

            Boss drops

            • Dragon Scales drop from the Ender Dragon on death. General.dragonScalesAmount is 8 in this pack, which is also the mod default, and it can range from 0 to 64.[3][5]
            • A Withering Soul drops from the Wither on death. General.witheringSoulChance is 0.35 in this pack, the same as the mod default, and it can range from 0.0 to 1.0.[3][5]

            Ore generation

The mod adds Inferium and Prosperity ore variants for the Nether and the End. All the generation options in this pack are set to true: World.generateNetherInferiumOre, World.generateNetherProsperityOre, World.generateEndInferiumOre and World.generateEndProsperityOre.[3][5]

            • Nether ores replace netherrack and generate in Nether biomes. End ores replace end stone and generate in End biomes.[11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18]
            • Every vein has a size of 8, and every variant is placed between heights 10 and 100.[15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22]
            • Placement count is 16 for the Inferium ores and 12 for the Prosperity ores.[19][20][21][22]
            • End Inferium Ore drops a random amount of Inferium Essence, and End Prosperity Ore drops a random amount of Prosperity Shards. Fortune increases both, and Silk Touch drops the ore block itself.[23][24]

            Essence Coal and Essence Apples

Essence Coal can cook more items than regular Coal. This pack has recipes for Inferium Coal and Imperium Coal, and Imperium Coal can be turned back out of its block, giving 9 pieces.[1][4]

            Paxels

Essence Paxels work as a pickaxe, axe and shovel in one tool. The top one in the sources is the Awakened Supremium Paxel, which is made through a Mystical Agriculture awakening recipe.[3][4]

            Awakening (mysticalagriculture)

              Recipe id: mysticalagradditions:awakened_supremium_paxel

The mod also lists tool modifiers. Prosperous gives tools and weapons a chance to drop Prosperity Shards, and Soul Siphoner makes weapons siphon Mob Souls like a Soulium Dagger.[3]

              Molten materials and the smeltery

The mod has molten fluids for Inferium, Prudentium, Tertium, Imperium, Supremium, Soulium, Prosperity, Insanium and Awakened Supremium, each with a bucket item. Hephaestus Forge melting recipes added by the pack handle the gem forms of several of them.[3][4]

              • Imperium, Prosperity, Prudentium and Soulium gems each melt in a recipe that takes 50 lava and gives 90 of the matching molten fluid, for example Molten Imperium.[4]
              • Insanium and Awakened Supremium gems melt from 50 Molten Blaze into 90 Molten Insanium or Molten Awakened Supremium.[4]
              • Awakened Supremium tool parts melt too: an adze head gives 180 and a broad axe head gives 720 Molten Awakened Supremium, both from 50 Molten Blaze.[4]

How do you progress through Mystical Agradditions?

              6 parts

The sources I have for this pack do not show where Mystical Agradditions sits on a quest path, so this section follows the materials and recipes instead. What they do show is a set of tiers that all feed into Hephaestus Forge tooling, plus a few Insanium storage items and early End ores.[4][23][24]

              Tiers you will meet

The pack has molten fluids for Prosperity, Prudentium, Soulium, Tertium, Imperium, Supremium, Insanium and Awakened Supremium. Coals exist for Inferium, Prudentium, Imperium, Insanium and Supremium, each made by a shapeless crafting recipe. Apples exist for Inferium, Imperium and Insanium, and paxels for Inferium, Imperium and Awakened Supremium.[4]

              Early materials from the End

End Inferium Ore is added to biomes tagged as End. Mined normally it drops a random amount of Inferium Essence, with Fortune applying a bonus, and Silk Touch gives you the ore block itself. End Prosperity Ore works the same way with Fortune and Silk Touch, but its normal drop is Prosperity Shard.[11][23][24]

              Insanium and its storage

Insanium has a full set of compact forms: Insanium Ingot, Insanium Gemstone, and blocks for ingots, gemstones and essence. Uncrafting an Insanium Block gives 9 Insanium Essence, an Insanium Ingot Block gives 9 ingots, and an Insanium Gemstone Block gives 9 gemstones. An ingot uncrafts into 9 Insanium Nugget.[4]

You can also get Insanium Essence from the Productive Bees centrifuge, which turns an Insanium honeycomb into essence and wax. The pack adds its own centrifuge recipe that gives Nether Star Shard and wax from a Nether Star honeycomb.[4]

              Cruxes and shards

The Nether Star Crux and Dragon Egg Crux both have shaped crafting recipes, and the Dragon Egg Chunk and Nether Star Shard have their own essence recipes.[4]

              Paxels

Inferium Paxel and Imperium Paxel are shaped recipes. Awakened Supremium Paxel is made with an awakening recipe instead.[4]

                Recipe id: mysticalagradditions:awakened_supremium_paxel

Melting and casting in this pack

The pack adds Hephaestus Forge melting recipes for these materials. Gems of Prosperity, Prudentium, Soulium, Tertium, Imperium and Supremium melt with 50 lava into 90 of the matching molten fluid. Insanium and Awakened Supremium instead use 50 Molten Blaze for 90 of their molten fluid.[4]

Tool parts follow the same pattern. A broad axe head, hammer head or large blade gives 720 molten Imperium or Awakened Supremium, a large plate gives 360, and pick heads, small axe heads and small blades give 180. Imperium parts need lava, while Awakened Supremium parts need Molten Blaze. The Insanium parts shown here are the adze head (180) and the broad axe and hammer heads (720), all from Molten Blaze.[4]

Going the other way, a casting table turns 90 Molten Insanium into one Insanium Gemstone. That pack-added recipe is how you get a gemstone back from molten metal.[4]

How does Mystical Agradditions work with other mods?

                4 parts

In this pack, Mystical Agradditions connects to other mods through Hephaestus tool-part casting, Mystical Agriculture gemstones and Productive Bees centrifuge recipes. It also shows up in a random pack event.[4][10]

                Hephaestus tool parts

The pack adds a big set of casting table recipes that turn this mod's molten fluids into Hephaestus Tools parts. Across them there are 96 recipes, 12 different parts and 8 different molten fluids from this mod, including Molten Awakened Supremium, Molten Imperium, Molten Insanium, Molten Prosperity, Molten Prudentium and Molten Soulium.[4]

The cost of each part is the same for Molten Awakened Supremium, Molten Imperium and Molten Insanium. Molten Prosperity uses the same numbers for the parts shown in the recipe dump. Here is what each part takes:[4]

The pack also adds melting recipes in the other direction. Awakened Supremium and Insanium gems and tool parts melt into their molten fluid, and the recipes list 50 Molten Blaze as the input. A gem gives 90 of the molten fluid, and a part gives the same amount it costs to cast.[4]

                Mystical Agriculture gemstones

Casting also connects this mod to Mystical Agriculture. The pack adds casting table recipes where 90 of a molten fluid makes the matching gemstone: Molten Prosperity for Prosperity Gemstone, Molten Imperium for Imperium Gemstone, Molten Prudentium for Prudentium Gemstone, Molten Soulium for Soulium Gemstone, Molten Tertium for Tertium Gemstone, Molten Supremium for Supremium Gemstone, and Molten Awakened Supremium for Awakened Supremium Gemstone.[4]

The pack's Goat event spawns a Quantum Goat near you, and the goat drops a random item from a weighted list. The Nether Star Shard is on that list with a weight of 3, next to items from Applied Energistics 2 and Ender IO and some vanilla items. For comparison, iron ingots have a weight of 15, and the shard has the lowest weight on the list.[10]

Which Mystical Agradditions config options matter?

                    3 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 0.51 guide

Mystical Agradditions has a small config file, and these are the options you're most likely to care about. All the values below are what this pack sets in its common config.[25]

                    Boss drops

                    • General.dragonScalesAmount is set to 8 in this pack. This is how many Dragon Scales an Ender Dragon drops when killed, and the allowed range is 0 to 64.[25]
                    • General.witheringSoulChance is set to 0.35 in this pack. This is the chance that a Wither drops a Withering Soul when killed, on a scale from 0.0 to 1.0.[25]

                    Crops and food

                    Ore generation

All four ore generation toggles are set to true in this pack, so both Inferium and Prosperity ore generate in the Nether and in the End.[25]

Unverified The pack's config file only lists the values this pack uses, not the mod's own defaults. So I can't confirm which of these options the pack changed from the default.

What changed in Mystical Agradditions between versions?

                    1 part

Mystical Agradditions is at version 9.0.4 in FTB Evolution 2 1.1.0, built for Minecraft 26.1.2. It was already in the pack as of 1.0.2 or earlier, so you don't need to update anything to get it.[26]

                    9.0.4

                    • Essence Paxels can now be enchanted with Mystical Enlightenment. This is the only change listed in the 9.0.4 changelog.[27]

Unverified The pack changelogs available here have no entries for this mod, so I can't say whether any earlier pack release changed how Mystical Agradditions behaves. Check the FTB Evolution 2 release notes if you need that.

Written from what FTB Evolution 2 itself ships: its files and recipes, the in-game guidebooks and the mods' own pages. Every statement links to the source it came from, and the numbers are checked against the pack before publishing.
