What is Mystical Agradditions?

3 parts

Mystical Agradditions is an add-on for Mystical Agriculture. It stretches the crop system past the existing tiers, with a new top tier and some extra tools on the side.[1]

What it adds

  • Tier 6 essence, called Insanium.[1]
  • Tier 6 crops for high tier materials. The project page lists Nether Star, Dragon Egg, Gaia Spirit (Botania), Awakened Draconium (Draconic Evolution), Neutronium (Avaritia) and Nitro Crystal (Powah).[1]
  • Paxels, which combine a Pickaxe, Axe and Shovel in a single tool.[1]
  • Tinkers' Construct integration.[1]
  • Essence Coal, which can cook more items than regular Coal.[1]

That crop list on the project page was last updated for version 7.0.2, and the pack ships a newer build. Treat it as a guide to the kind of crops the mod adds, not as a confirmed list for this pack.[1][2]

Version in the pack

This pack includes Mystical Agradditions 9.0.4. The mod has been in the pack since version 0.0.19 or earlier.[2]

How do you get started with Mystical Agradditions?

4 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.8.0-beta guide

Mystical Agradditions is an add-on for Mystical Agriculture. It brings in Insanium, a tier 6 essence, along with tier 6 crops, paxels, Tinkers' Construct support and essence coal. Here are the first things worth making and why.[1]

Step one: essence coal for better smelting

Essence coal can cook more items than regular coal, so it makes a good first upgrade for your furnaces. Each essence type has its own coal, for example Inferium Coal, and a matching storage block, such as Inferium Coal Block. The pack also has uncraft recipes that turn a coal block back into coal.[1][3]

The pack has the same kind of recipe for the other essence coals.

Next: a paxel to replace several tools

A paxel combines a pickaxe, an axe and a shovel in one tool, so you carry a single item instead of separate ones. The pack has crafting recipes for several paxels, such as the Inferium Paxel.[1][3]

    Then: Insanium essence and farmland

Insanium is the tier 6 essence this mod adds, so Insanium Essence is the material to aim for. The pack gives you a few ways to get it: a crafting recipe, a Productive Bees centrifuge recipe that outputs it together with wax, and an uncraft recipe from an Insanium Block.[1][3]

    A pack-specific extra

The pack adds its own custom recipe for Creative Essence. It comes from the pack, not from the mod, so check the recipe below rather than the mod's own behavior.[3]

    How does Mystical Agradditions work?

    7 parts

Mystical Agradditions is not a machine mod in what the sources here show. There are no multiblocks, power or fluid handling to set up. Its systems are crop growth, a new essence tier, farmland and a handful of crafted items. This page covers how those pieces fit together, so you know what to build before you start farming.[1][4]

    Tier 6 crops and Insanium

Insanium Essence is a tier of essence above Supremium, and it is what you use to create Tier 6 crops. Tier 6 crops behave differently from the lower tiers: they need a Crux below the farmland to grow, and they never drop a second seed when harvested.[4]

They also usually cannot be grown with Mystical Fertilizer or Fertilized Essence, so plan on waiting for them to grow naturally.[4]

In this pack you can get Insanium Essence from a crafting recipe, shown below.[5]

You can also get it from the Productive Bees centrifuge, which turns an Insanium honeycomb into Insanium Essence plus Wax.[5]

    Cruxes

Cruxes are blocks that you place under a Tier 6 crop so that it can grow. The mod's language file lists these: Awakened Draconium, Dragon Egg, Gaia Spirit, Nether Star, Neutronium and Nitro Crystal. The project page pairs them with resource crops for Nether Star, Dragon Egg, Gaia Spirit, Awakened Draconium, Neutronium and Nitro Crystal.[1][4]

The Awakened Draconium, Dragon Egg and Gaia Spirit Crux blocks drop themselves when broken, so you can pick one up and move it. Here is how to craft the Dragon Egg Crux.[6][7][8]

The in-pack recipe for the Dragon Egg Crux.

The pack itself also uses a Crux as a crafting ingredient: the Nether Star Crux appears in the pack's Withers Compass recipe.[9]

    Insanium Farmland

Insanium Farmland is the farmland tier for Insanium crops. Remember that the Crux still has to sit below the farmland. There is a shapeless crafting recipe, and a separate farmland till recipe that also produces it.[4][5]

    Crafting Shapeless

    Recipe id: mysticalagradditions:insanium_farmland

The crafting recipe for Insanium Farmland.

If you use Jade, the mod adds a plugin option called Essence Farmland tier, which is how the farmland tier is shown in the tooltip.[4]

Ores in the Nether and the End

The mod adds Inferium and Prosperity ore variants for the Nether and the End. The Nether versions generate in netherrack, and the End versions generate in end stone. Every vein has a size of 8.[10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17]

    • Inferium ores (Nether and End): a count of 16, at heights from 10 to 100.[18][19]
    • Prosperity ores (Nether and End): a count of 12, at heights from 10 to 100.[20][21]

    Essence Coal and storage blocks

Essence Coal can cook more items than regular Coal. The mod has Inferium, Imperium and Insanium Coal, and the Imperium Coal Block drops itself when broken.[1][4][22]

Coal blocks can be crafted from coal and turned back again: each uncraft recipe gives 9 coal. The same goes for Insanium Block, which uncrafts into 9 Insanium Essence, and the Insanium Gemstone Block, which uncrafts into 9 Insanium Gemstone.[5]

    Paxels and apples

Essence Paxels work as a pickaxe, axe and shovel in one tool. The top of the line here is the Awakened Supremium Paxel, which is made with an awakening recipe, not normal crafting.[4][5]

Essence Apples, such as the Insanium Apple, are a much healthier alternative to regular Apples, giving buffs and additional nutrition.[4]

      Creative Essence

Creative Essence has a recipe added by the pack through a script, so you will not find it in the mod's own recipe set. It is a late, expensive craft.[5][9]

Unverified Whether the pack changes crop growth or Mystical Agriculture behaviour for Tier 6 crops is set in its KubeJS scripts, for example the mysticalagriculture compatibility script. The sources here do not show those scripts, so any such changes are unverified.

How do you progress through Mystical Agradditions?

      5 parts

In this pack, Mystical Agradditions is a set of tiered materials and gear that sits on top of Mystical Agriculture. The recipe data shows what each tier gives you, so this page walks through that.[5]

      The Insanium line

Insanium has the widest set of materials: Insanium Essence, Insanium Gemstone, Insanium Ingot and Insanium Nugget. Essence, gemstone and ingot also have storage blocks: Insanium Block, Insanium Gemstone Block and Insanium Ingot Block. Each block has an uncraft recipe that gives back 9 of its item, and an ingot can be uncrafted into 9 nuggets.[5]

You can also get Insanium Essence and wax from the Productive Bees centrifuge, using the Insanium honeycomb recipe.[5]

Insanium Farmland has both a shapeless crafting recipe and a farmland till recipe that uses Mystical Agriculture's recipe type.[5]

      Cruxes, chunks and shards

The Dragon Egg Crux, Nether Star Crux and Nitro Crystal Crux each have a shaped crafting recipe. Dragon Egg Chunk and Nether Star Shard have their own essence recipes. The Productive Bees centrifuge can also give you a Nether Star Shard together with an ATM Star Shard from the starry honeycomb.[5]

      End ores

End Inferium Ore is added to the End biomes. Mined without Silk Touch it drops a random amount of Inferium Essence, and Fortune can raise that. With Silk Touch you get the ore block itself.[12][23]

End Prosperity Ore works the same way: a random amount of Prosperity Shard with a Fortune bonus, or the ore block with Silk Touch.[24]

      Creative Essence

Creative Essence has a recipe added by the pack through KubeJS, so it is a pack-specific craft and not a mod default.[5]

How does Mystical Agradditions work with other mods?

      3 parts

In this pack, the clearest links between Mystical Agradditions and other mods are two Productive Bees centrifuge recipes and one shared tag that groups dragon scales. The mod's own files also point to a few optional connections.[5][25][26]

      Productive Bees centrifuge

Productive Bees has a centrifuge recipe that gives you Nether Star Shard together with ATM Star Shard, which comes from AllTheTweaks. So a bee-farming setup can feed Mystical Agradditions materials.[5]

      Centrifuge (productivebees)

        Recipe id: productivebees:centrifuge/atm/honeycomb_starry

The centrifuge outputs ATM Star Shard and Nether Star Shard.

A second centrifuge recipe gives you Insanium Essence and Wax. That makes it another way to get the mod's tier 6 essence without growing it.[1][5]

        Centrifuge (productivebees)

          Recipe id: productivebees:centrifuge/mysticalagriculture/honeycomb_insanium

The centrifuge outputs Insanium Essence and Wax.

          Dragon scales

The pack's KubeJS script adds two dragon scales to one shared item tag: the one from Forbidden and Arcanus and the one from Mystical Agradditions. Anything that accepts that tag treats both scales as the same ingredient.[25]

The mod's project page lists its resource crops for version 7.0.2: Nether Star and Dragon Egg from vanilla, Gaia Spirit from Botania, Awakened Draconium from Draconic Evolution, Neutronium from Avaritia, and Nitro Crystal from Powah. It also lists Tinkers' Construct integration. The sources here do not show whether the pack changes any of these.[1]

The mod's jar also ships a neutronium ingot item tag that lists two Avaritia ingot ids, both marked as optional, so the tag works even when Avaritia is missing.[26]

Unverified This pack runs many other KubeJS scripts, for example for Mekanism recipes and for Mystical Agriculture compatibility, and the sources here do not include their contents. They may add more links to this mod, but that is not shown here.

What changed in Mystical Agradditions between versions?

Unverified Pack changelog entries for this mod are not shown in the sources here, so how the pack's own releases changed Mystical Agradditions beyond the version it ships is unverified.
