What is IntegratedTerminals?

IntegratedTerminals is part of the pack, and the version you get is 1.4.7. It ships as the 1.18.2 build of the mod.[1]

It's an old resident, too. The mod was already in the pack by version 2.4 or earlier, so it has been around for a good while.[1]

Unverified The sources I have don't describe what IntegratedTerminals does, who it is best suited to, or how its features work in this pack, so I'm not going to guess. Check the mod's in-game item tooltips to see what it adds.

Unverified The sources don't show where the mod fits in the pack's progression. They also don't show it on the ATM Star path or in any quest, and I can't confirm any recipe or config changes the pack makes to it.

How do you get started with IntegratedTerminals?

4 parts

Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide

IntegratedTerminals is an extension to Integrated Dynamics that lets you manage and overview your Integrated Dynamics networks through a GUI. Everything below is the order I'd make things in, starting with the glass that all the terminals need.[2]

Step 1: Menril Glass

Before you can craft the Storage Terminal, you need Menril Glass, a self-illuminating glass. You make it by drying Menril Resin onto plain glass in a Drying Basin.[2][3]

The pack also has a Mechanical Drying Basin version of the same recipe, so you can automate it later.[3]

Step 2: The Storage Terminal part

This is the main item of the mod. Part Terminal Storage is a part you place on a cable to get GUI-based storage management for the attached network. Along with Menril Glass, the recipe uses Integrated Dynamics items such as the input and output variable transformers.[2][3]

Once it's placed, you can interact with your storage networks, such as attached energy batteries. Other mods that add storage capabilities, like the item and fluid capabilities from Integrated Tunnels, work with it too.[2]

Step 3: A portable version

If you don't want to be tied to a cable, you can attach Crystalized Menril Chunks to your Storage Terminal part to get the Portable Storage Terminal.[2][3]

Optional extras

  • Chorus Glass is made the same way as Menril Glass, but with liquid chorus, and entities can pass through it. There is a Mechanical Drying Basin version too (recipe id integratedterminals:mechanical_drying_basin/chorus_glass).[2][3]
  • Part Terminal Crafting Job lets you see and cancel all running crafting jobs in the network. It also uses Menril Glass in its recipe.[2][3]

Watch out: The Crafting Job Terminal only matters if you have an autocrafting mod such as Integrated Crafting installed. The same goes for starting crafting jobs from the Storage Terminal.[2]

Unverified Whether Integrated Crafting is actually included in this pack could not be confirmed from the available sources, and no quests for this mod were found, so you'll need to check in-game before relying on autocrafting.

How does IntegratedTerminals work?

9 parts

Integrated Terminals is an extension to Integrated Dynamics. It gives you GUIs to manage and overview your Integrated Dynamics networks. The main tool is the Storage Terminal, a part you place on a cable to get GUI-based storage management for everything on that network. This section covers how it behaves in the pack.[2]

Tabs and ingredients

The terminal shows one tab per active storage network on the attached network, optionally split by channel. If you have several energy batteries attached, the energy tab shows the sum of all their energy. The bottom of each tab shows the total and maximum quantities. If another mod adds storage capabilities, such as the item and fluid capabilities from Integrated Tunnels, you can interact with those as well. The guide calls anything storable (items, fluids, energy) an ingredient.[2]

Interaction works like any inventory: click to pick something up, click again to place it, and shift-click to move in bulk. For energy and fluids you need a container item when clicking in your own inventory, such as a battery or a tank.[2]

Selecting and moving quantities

Once you select a storage ingredient, clicking its slot again raises the amount a little, and shift-clicking raises it more. Right-clicking lowers it, and so does scrolling over the ingredient. To move things, right-click for a small quantity, left-click for everything you hold, or middle-click for half of what you hold.[2]

This pack sets the amounts through config. Clicking an item selects 64 and right-clicking removes 1 (machine.general.guiStorageItemInitialQuantity and machine.general.guiStorageItemIncrementalQuantity). For fluids, clicking selects 100,000 and right-clicking removes 1,000 (machine.general.guiStorageFluidInitialQuantity and machine.general.guiStorageFluidIncrementalQuantity). Energy uses the same 100,000 and 1,000 (machine.general.guiStorageEnergyInitialQuantity and machine.general.guiStorageEnergyIncrementalQuantity).[4]

Sorting, searching and filtering

The left-hand buttons cycle through sorting options, including ordering by name and by quantity. Items can be sorted by registry ID or stack size, and fluids by registry ID or amount in mB. The search box filters by name, and you can add further parameters separated by spaces. Or-conditions use the pipe character.[2]

If text filtering isn't enough, you can insert your own predicates via Variable Cards. They should take the ingredient type as input and return a Boolean. Terminal settings such as buttons, search boxes and tabs are saved per player and per terminal. The anvil button at the bottom right of the GUI sets which settings newly placed terminals start with.[2]

Grid size and layout

The scale button sets the size of the storage grid. The pack defines the grid presets through these config options:[2][4]

general.general.guiStorageForceCraftingGridCenter is false here, so the crafting grid placement is responsive to your screen size instead of always sitting in the centre.[4]

Crafting grid

The crafting grid has buttons to refill itself automatically after crafting and to spread equal items evenly over its slots. Shift-clicking the clear button moves the grid contents into your inventory. With JEI installed you can shift-click a recipe to fill the grid quickly, using the refill source you chose. You can also sync the JEI and terminal search fields.[2]

general.general.shiftClickCraftingResultLimit is false in this pack, so shift-clicking the result slot is not limited to a single result. general.general.syncItemStorageAndCraftingTabStates is true, so search box and button states stay in sync between the item storage and crafting tabs.[4]

Power use

The pack sets the base energy usage of the storage terminal to 2 (general.general.terminalStorageBaseConsumption). The crafting terminal's base energy usage is 1 (general.general.terminalCraftingBaseConsumption).[4]

Autocrafting and the Crafting Job Terminal

Watch out: Autocrafting only applies if an autocrafting mod such as Integrated Crafting is installed. Without one, the crafting plan and job features have nothing to run.[2]

When your network contains crafting recipes, you can start crafting jobs from the Storage Terminal. Recipes appear in their tabs and channels. Clicking one opens a GUI to pick how many times to run it, then a crafting plan lists the required or missing ingredients, and then the job starts. Shift-clicking a recipe skips the amount GUI and goes straight to the plan.[2]

The Crafting Job Terminal (Part Terminal Crafting Job) lists and lets you cancel every running job on the network. Clicking a job shows its remaining sub-jobs, status, duration, owner and channel. Hovering a sub-job gives more detail on its status.[2]

  • Queueing: waiting for other jobs to finish.[2]
  • Pending dependencies: waiting for dependencies to finish.[2]
  • Pending inputs: missing input ingredients.[2]
  • Crafting: job started, waiting for outputs.[2]
  • Finished: job completed and outputs received.[2]
  • Invalid: missing storage ingredients. A separate invalid-inputs status means the recipe inputs could not be inserted into the crafting target.[2]

This pack refreshes the job GUI every 1,000 ms (machine.general.guiTerminalCraftingJobsUpdateFrequency). The planner's multithreading option is off (core.general.craftingPlannerEnableMultithreading), and the thread count is set to 2 (core.general.craftingPlannerThreads).[4]

For multiplayer stability, the pack caps a single packet at 1,024 terminal storage instances (core.general.terminalStoragePacketMaxInstances) and 128 crafting recipes (core.general.terminalStoragePacketMaxRecipes). The config says to reduce these if you get packet overflows.[4]

Crafting the terminals

The Storage Terminal needs Menril Glass, a self-illuminating glass made in a Drying Basin. Chorus Glass is made the same way and lets entities pass through it. Each has a hand-operated basin recipe and a mechanical drying basin recipe.[2][5]

Portable Storage Terminal

Combining a Crystalized Menril Chunk with the Storage Terminal gives you the Portable Storage Terminal. To link it to a network, the network needs an Omni-Directional Connector. Right-click the connector with the portable terminal. You can also bind a hotkey that opens the first Portable Storage Terminal in your inventory.[2][5]

How do you progress through IntegratedTerminals?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide

In this pack, IntegratedTerminals progression is a short crafting chain. You make a special glass, turn it into terminal parts, and then optionally upgrade the storage terminal part into a portable terminal.[3]

The glass

The chain starts with a glass made in a Drying Basin. Menril Glass is the one the terminal part recipes use. Chorus Glass is made the same way, from liquid chorus instead of menril resin.[3]

How does IntegratedTerminals work with other mods?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide

In this pack, every recipe that connects IntegratedTerminals with another mod points to the same place: Integrated Dynamics. The terminal parts and the glass blocks are built from Integrated Dynamics items, and the glass is made in Integrated Dynamics drying basins. So you'll want some Integrated Dynamics progress before you get far with terminals.[3]

Terminal parts

The Part Terminal Storage is crafted from Integrated Dynamics components, including the Part Display Panel, the Input Variable Transformer and the Output Variable Transformer. It also needs Menril Glass, which is one of this mod's own blocks.[3]

Menril Glass and Chorus Glass

Both decorative glass blocks, Menril Glass and Chorus Glass, are made in Integrated Dynamics machines rather than a crafting grid. Each has a Drying Basin recipe and a Mechanical Drying Basin recipe. Menril Glass uses Menril Resin, Chorus Glass uses Liquid Chorus, and both also take any colorless glass.[3]

Which IntegratedTerminals config options matter?

6 parts

Integrated Terminals keeps its settings in a single file, and every value below is exactly what this pack ships. Most of them tweak the storage and crafting terminals, so you only need to touch them if something feels off.[4]

Crafting planner performance

Packet limits

If you ever hit packet overflows, these are the options to lower. core.general.terminalStoragePacketMaxInstances is 1,024 and core.general.terminalStoragePacketMaxRecipes is 128. They cap how many terminal storage instances and crafting recipes go out in a single packet.[4]

Storage terminal click quantities

Terminal size and layout

The storage terminal scales with your screen. The small layout is 9 columns by 5 rows, medium is 10 by 7, and large is 11 by 9. When scaling, it tops out at 32 columns and 20 rows. The height-based scale uses 9 columns and the width-based scale uses 5 rows.[4]

The matching options are general.general.guiStorageScaleSmallColumns, general.general.guiStorageScaleSmallRows, general.general.guiStorageScaleMediumColumns, general.general.guiStorageScaleMediumRows, general.general.guiStorageScaleLargeColumns, general.general.guiStorageScaleLargeRows, general.general.guiStorageScaleMaxColumns, general.general.guiStorageScaleMaxRows, general.general.guiStorageScaleHeightColumns and general.general.guiStorageScaleWidthRows.[4]

general.general.guiStorageForceCraftingGridCenter is false, so the crafting grid stays responsive to your screen size instead of always sitting in the center.[4]

Crafting terminal behavior and energy

Housekeeping

core.general.analytics and core.general.versionChecker are both true. The first allows an anonymous startup analytics request, and the second enables the version checker.[4]
