What is Oritech?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.8.0-beta guide
Oritech is an open-source tech mod built around animated machinery. You get processing machines, world-interaction machines, logistics parts, new world generation features, tools, armor and decorative blocks. Most machines are animated multiblocks, and you upgrade them with addon blocks.[1]
This pack ships Oritech 2.0.0-exp6.[2]
What you can build
- Multiple ore processing chains and variants.[1]
- The mod's project page lists automated farming machines, plus electric tools and armor, among its features.[1]
- Item, fluid and energy pipes. There is only 1 pipe tier for each type, and the pipes are generally pretty fast.[1]
- Drones that move items across vast distances, and lasers that mine blocks automatically.[1]
- Cybernetic player augmentation and particle accelerators.[1]
- Many ways to generate energy, from burning fossil fuels to running sustainable biofuel farms.[1]
Design ideas worth knowing
Oritech tries to give you more than one way to get things done, so you don't get stuck waiting on one rare item. Plastic is the example the mod itself uses: you can make it from farming items or from oil processing. The mod's own page admits this isn't always true yet in its test releases.[1]
It also aims for renewable resources. Fuel and items come from large automated farms, and the bedrock extractor gives you renewable metals late in the game. Naturally spawned resource nodes and oil wells are there to push you into building auxiliary bases and hauling the output back to a central hub.[1]
If you use EMI, Oritech works best with it, though JEI and REI are supported too. Its NeoForge builds also include compatibility with mods such as Create, Mekanism, Applied Energistics 2 and Immersive Engineering, so metals and components can be processed in Oritech machines and the other way round.[1]
Unverified The sources I have don't show Oritech on the ATM Star path, in any quests, or at a specific point in the pack's progression, so I can't say where it fits. There is also no in-jar guidebook to check.
How do you get started with Oritech?
5 parts
Oritech is a tech mod built around animated multiblock machines, and you upgrade those machines with addon blocks. Here is a first-steps path for this pack, using the mod's own advancement descriptions as a guide to the intended progression. The exact ingredients are in the recipe blocks below.[1][3]
Get power going
The mod's generator advancement points you at the Basic Generator and describes it as the way to generate some serious power. It is the obvious first machine to make.[3][4]

Make your first machine core
The pack has machine cores running from the Primitive Machine Core up to the Ultimate Machine Core. The ultimate core is the one the mod's advancement says lets you add excessive addons, so it is a long-term goal. Start with the lowest one.[3][4]

Start processing your ores
The Fragment Forge has a crafting recipe in the pack, and so does the Centrifuge. The mod's advancement for the centrifuge describes it as a way to separate the good from the bad, which makes it a good next step for ore processing.[3][4]

How does Oritech work?
7 parts
The mod's project page says Oritech machines are mostly animated multiblocks, with upgrades implemented using addon blocks. Once you get that idea, most of the mod falls into place. This section sticks to what the sources confirm, so you won't find exact stats here.[1]
Machines and addons
The project page says the mod's content ranges from processing machines and world interaction machines to logistical parts. The pack has a whole family of addon items for upgrading machines: Speed Addon, Efficiency Addon, Capacitor Addon, Fluid Addon, Acceptor Addon, Burst Addon, Inventory Proxy Addon, Silk Touch Addon, Hunter Addon, Control Unit Addon, Crop Filter Addon, Quarry Addon, Auxiliary Processing Chamber Addon and Power Bank Addon Extender.[1][4]
Here are the in-pack recipes for the Addon Splicer, the Speed Addon and the Capacitor Addon.[4]

There is also an advancement for obtaining an ultimate machine core, and its description says it lets you add excessive addons.[3]
Machine paint
The project page lists colorable machines among the mod's features. The pack has paint items for this, including White Machine Paint, Orange Machine Paint, Camo Machine Paint, Industrial Machine Paint, Redstone Machine Paint, Fluxite Machine Paint, Sculk Machine Paint, Netherite Machine Paint and Adamant Machine Paint. That last one is named Adamant Machine Paint in this pack.[1][4]
Power, fluid and item transport
Oritech has item, fluid and energy pipes, and each type has only one pipe tier. The project page says pipes are generally pretty fast.[1]
The project page says pipe blocks only have block entities where needed, for example where they connect to machines. All networks are cached, and network updates are only sent when needed. The mod is designed with simplicity and performance in mind.[1]
For longer-range energy, the pack includes the Energy Transmission Pole. Drones can also carry items across vast distances.[1][4]
World interaction machines
Several machines reach into the world instead of just processing items. Lasers can automatically mine blocks. The recipe viewer has a category called Enderic Laser Block Destruction, which is where you check what the laser can destroy.[1][3]
The bedrock extractor works on naturally spawned resource nodes. Its recipe viewer entry says to place the extractor atop the node and that extraction is infinite. The project page says those nodes and the oil wells are there to encourage players to build auxiliary bases and then transport items to a central hub.[1][3]
Particle accelerator and tainted refinery
The project page lists Particle Accelerators among the mod's features. The pack has a Particle Accelerator Guide Ring guide ring, and the recipe viewer shows a minimum collision energy in joules.[1][3][4]
Crafting Shaped

The tainted refinery has its own creation and bonus categories in the recipe viewer. Its creation hint says to explode a refinery near a soul-charged catalyst. For bonuses, arcane blocks increase energy efficiency and sculk blocks increase the output multiplier (the yield bonus).[3]
Reactor
Building a nuclear reactor has its own advancement, and the pack includes the Reactor Coolant Absorber Port as a craftable reactor part.[3][4]

Multiple routes, and pack-added dust recipes
The mod is designed so most things can be obtained more than one way. Plastic, for example, can come from farming items or from oil processing. Fuel and items can also be renewable through large automated farms.[1]
This pack adds ore hammer recipes for the Oritech dusts Adamant Dust, Biosteel Dust, Duratium Dust and Energite Dust. These are pack additions, not part of the mod's own recipes.[4]

How do you progress through Oritech?
4 parts
Oritech has a lot of machines, and the pack keeps the mod's crafting recipes. The clearest tier markers in the recipe list are the machine cores, which run from the Primitive Machine Core up to the Ultimate Machine Core in named steps.[4]
- Basic Machine Core sits above the Primitive core in the list.[4]
- Advanced Machine Core comes next.[4]
- Elite Machine Core follows it.[4]
- Ultra Machine Core is the step before the top core.[4]
Unverified The sources here show no quests for Oritech, so there is no quest-guided order to follow. The tier order below is a reading of the recipe list, not an official route.

How does Oritech work with other mods?
1 part
Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.8.0-beta guide
The connection between Oritech and another mod that the pack's recipes confirm is with Productive Bees. Its bee conversion recipes take Oritech items as the input and give you Oritech-themed bees.[5]
Productive Bees bee conversions
Three of these conversions start from Oritech fluid buckets: Sheol Fire Bucket, Strange Matter Bucket and Sulfuric Acid Bucket. The remaining one starts from Plutonium Dust. The results are the Sheol Fire, Strange Matter, Sulfuric Acid and Uranite Crystal bees from the Oritech group in Productive Bees.[5]

What changed in Oritech between versions?
1 part
All the Mods 11 0.3.0-beta ships Oritech 2.0.0-exp1, so the changes below are the ones you're playing with in this pack version. This is the only Oritech changelog I have for this section.[6][7]
Oritech 2.0.0-exp1
- The mod was updated to 26.1.2.[6]
- Oritech is no longer multiplatform and is now NeoForge only, so the Architectury API is no longer required.[6]
- The code was rewritten to use NeoForge-native events and methods where applicable, and the entire processing logic was migrated to the new transaction API.[6]
- Player Augmentations now use a custom datapack type and are no longer recipe driven.[6]
- The Schrodingers safe now uses NeoForge data maps instead of tags.[6]
- Internal classes and types of blocks were renamed to match their in-game names, along with tons of other minor improvements.[6]
