What is Camol?
Same as in the All the Mods 10 5.2 guide
Camol is part of this pack's mod list, running version 1.21.1-0.3.0 (the file camol-1.21.1-0.3.0.jar). If you've spotted it in your mods folder and wondered what it's doing there, that's the version you've got.[1]
Unverified There isn't reliable information yet on what Camol actually adds, who it's aimed at, or how it ties into the pack's progression. There's no in-game guidebook for it, and no quests in the pack involve it, so this section will be expanded once we can confirm its features.
How do you get started with Camol?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.8.0-beta guide
Camol is a small mod, and getting started with it is quick. In this pack its recipes revolve around the Camo Block and the Shape Retaining Camo Block, so those are the items to learn first.[2]
First: craft the Camo Block
Start with the Camo Block. It is made with a normal shaped crafting recipe, so you can make it at a regular crafting table. The recipe below is shown exactly as it appears in this pack.[2]
Crafting Shaped

| Empty slot | any blue dye | Empty slot |
| any black dye | Empty slot | any white dye |

Next: convert it to the Shape Retaining version
Camol has its own conversion crafting recipe type. One of its recipes produces the Shape Retaining Camo Block, and the recipe id shows that it converts the normal camo block.[2]

Changed your mind? Convert it back
The conversion also goes the other way. If you want a plain Camo Block again, this recipe converts the Shape Retaining Camo Block back.[2]
How does Camol work?
3 parts
Camol is a small mod, and the sources here show no machines, multiblocks, power or fluid handling for it. Its whole mechanic is disguising blocks: you craft a camo item together with a block, then use it on blocks in the world.[3][4]
The camo items
The mod adds Camo Block and Shape Retaining Camo Block. Both have the same description: right click a block to disguise it as the block the item is camoed with, and right click a camoed block to undisguise it.[3]
An empty camo item tells you to craft it together with a block. After that, its name shows which block it carries.[3]
The difference between them is the collision shape, as their tooltips describe it. The Camo Block uses the collision shape of the camoed block. The Shape Retaining Camo Block says it uses the collision shape of the camoing block.[3]
Crafting and converting
The base item is crafted with a normal shaped recipe and gives you 4 Camo Blocks per craft.[4]

| Empty slot | any blue dye | Empty slot |
| any black dye | Empty slot | any white dye |
Recipe id: camol:camo_item
This recipe makes 4 Camo Blocks.
You can switch between the variants with conversion recipes. They use the mod's own camo conversion crafting type.[4]

Gives you a Camo Block.
What can be camoed
The mod has an item tag of blocks that cannot be used as camo, and it contains the doors and beds tags. The tag for blocks that cannot be camoed ships empty, so the mod itself blocks nothing there.[5][6]
How do you progress through Camol?
3 parts
Camol has no tier ladder in this pack. The recipes here cover Camo Block and Shape Retaining Camo Block, and nothing in them gates one behind a machine or an earlier item. It is a short path: craft the base block, then convert it if you want the shape-retaining variant.[4]
Getting your first Camo Block
The base item uses a normal shaped crafting recipe, and one craft gives you 4 Camo Blocks.[4]
Crafting Shaped
| any red dye | Empty slot | any green dye |
| Empty slot | any blue dye | Empty slot |
| any black dye | Empty slot | any white dye |
Recipe id: camol:camo_item
Shaped crafting recipe, makes 4 Camo Blocks per craft.
Switching variants
The Shape Retaining Camo Block has its own conversion recipe, and there is a matching conversion recipe that gives you a plain Camo Block. These use Camol's own conversion crafting type rather than normal shaped crafting.[4]
Convert Camo Crafting (camol)
Recipe id: camol:convert_normal_camo_item

What can't be used as camouflage
Camol's item tag of disallowed camo blocks lists the door tag and the bed tag, so doors and beds are on the disallowed list. Its block tag of disallowed camoable blocks is empty in the mod's jar.[5][6]
