What is Camol?
2 parts
Camol is a building-and-cosmetics mod that lets you disguise functional blocks, like cables and pipes, as other blocks. The pack ships Camol 1.21.1-0.3.1. If you hate how a tangle of cables ruins a clean build, this one is for you.[1][2]
The quest text says it can camouflage a lot of things, including Pipez, Mekanism Cables and ATM Stars, and even the Kitchen Sink. Everything revolves around one item: the Camo Block.[2]
Where it fits in the pack
You meet Camol in the Building Tips quest chapter. The quest "Camol" quest comes after the Changing Blocks quest, and its task is to obtain the Camo Block. It's a quality-of-life tool rather than a progression gate.[2]
How it works
- Craft the Camo Block together with the block you want to use as the disguise.[2]
- Right click the Camo Block on the block you want to camouflage, such as a cable.[2]
- To remove a Camo Block, right click the camouflaged block with another Camo Block.[2]
By default, the camouflaged block takes on the collision shape of the block being camouflaged. If you put the Camo Block into a crafting grid by itself, you get the Shape Retaining version, which takes on the shape of the camouflaging block instead.[2]
Unverified The exact crafting recipe for the Camo Block and any config options for Camol are not covered by the available sources, so they are not described here.
How do you get started with Camol?
4 parts
Camol is all about hiding things in plain sight. The pack's quest for it says it can camouflage pretty much anything, from Pipez and Mekanism cables to the Kitchen Sink. So your first job here is simple: make a Camo Block and learn how to use it. You can find the quest as "Camol" quest, and it unlocks after the Changing Blocks quest.[2]
Step 1: Make a Camo Block
This is the base item for everything else in the mod, so it comes first. The pack uses this crafting recipe for it, and the quest wants you to have one.[2][3]
Crafting Shaped

| Empty slot | any blue dye | Empty slot |
| any black dye | Empty slot | any white dye |

Step 2: Camouflage a block
- Craft the Camo Block together with the block you want to use as the camo. The block you pick sets the look.[2]
- Right click the result on the block you want to hide, such as a cable or a pipe.[2]
- By default the Camo Block takes on the collision shape of the block it is camouflaging.[2]
Unverified The sources don't show a recipe entry for combining a Camo Block with a block of your choice, so check how that crafting works in your own game.
Step 3: Switch to the Shape Retaining version if you need it
If you'd rather the block take on the shape of the block doing the camouflaging, you want the Shape Retaining Camo Block. Put a Camo Block into a crafting grid by itself to convert it.[2][3]

You can also go back the other way. A Shape Retaining Camo Block converts into a regular Camo Block with this recipe.[3]

How does Camol work?
3 parts
The sources for this pack describe only the Camo Block and the Shape Retaining Camo Block for Camol. Nothing in them covers machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or automation, so this section sticks to how these disguise blocks behave.[3][4]
Disguising and undisguising
Both items work the same way. Right click a block to disguise it as the block stored in the item, and right click a camoed block to undisguise it again.[4]
An empty item shows the hint "Craft together with a block." in its tooltip. Once a block is stored, the item name shows it after the dash, for example "Camo Block - <block name>".[4]
Camo Block vs Shape Retaining Camo Block
The difference is the collision shape. The Camo Block tooltip says it uses the collision shape of the camoed block. The Shape Retaining Camo Block tooltip says it uses the collision shape of the camoing block. Read those as the mod words them, because the sources give no further detail.[4]
If you pick the wrong type, you can swap between them. The pack has a conversion recipe in each direction, using a Camol-specific crafting type.[3]
Recipes
Here is how you make the basic Camo Block. It is a normal shaped crafting recipe that uses dyes and makes 4 blocks per craft.[3]

How do you progress through Camol?
3 parts
Camol has no tier ladder in this pack. The quest book gives it one quest, and the progression is: get the Camo Block, then decide whether you want the Shape Retaining version.[2][3]
The quest
The pack covers Camol with one quest, "Camol" quest, in the Building Tips chapter. It comes after the Changing Blocks quest, and its task is to obtain the Camo Block.[2]
The quest text says Camol can camouflage things like Pipez, Mekanism cables and ATM Stars, and even the Kitchen Sink.[2]

This is the in-pack recipe for the Camo Block.
Per the quest, you craft the Camo Block together with the block you want to use for the camo. Then you right click the Camo Block on the block you want to hide, such as a cable.[2]
Switching shape behavior
By default, the Camo Block takes on the collision shape of the block being camouflaged. If you would rather it take on the shape of the camouflaging block, you want the Shape Retaining Camo Block. Put the Camo Block into a crafting grid by itself to convert it.[2]
Convert Camo Crafting (camol)
Recipe id: camol:convert_normal_camo_item
This in-pack recipe turns the Camo Block into the Shape Retaining Camo Block.
The conversion works both ways. The pack has a second recipe that turns the Shape Retaining Camo Block back into the normal one.[3]
This in-pack recipe turns the Shape Retaining Camo Block back into the Camo Block.
Which All the Mons quests use Camol?
2 parts
This mod has a single quest, and it sits in the Building Tips chapter. It's called "Camol" quest, and it unlocks after the Changing Blocks quest in the same chapter.[2]
What the quest asks for
The task is the Camo Block. There's nothing else to hand in, so it's a quick one once you've made the item.[2]
What the quest teaches
The quest text describes Camol as a way to camouflage nearly everything, including Pipez, Mekanism Cables and the Kitchen Sink. You craft the Camo Block together with the block you want to use as the camo. Then you right click the result on the block you want to hide, like a cable.[2]
- By default, the Camo Block takes on the collision shape of the block that's being camouflaged.[2]
- For the Shape Retaining version, put the Camo Block into a crafting grid by itself. It then takes on the shape of the block doing the camouflaging.[2]
- To remove a Camo Block, right click the camouflaged block with another Camo Block.[2]
