What is Camol?
2 parts
Camol is a camouflage mod. It lets you disguise functional blocks, such as cables and pipes, as any other block, so your base stays tidy. The pack ships Camol 1.21.1-0.3.1.[1]
The pack's quest for it says Camol can camouflage practically everything. It names Pipez, Mekanism cables, ATM Stars and even the Kitchen Sink as examples. If you like clean, good-looking builds and don't want exposed logistics running everywhere, this mod is for you.[2]
How it works
You craft the Camo Block together with the block whose look you want to copy. Then you right click the Camo Block on the block you want to hide, such as a cable.[2]
- By default, the camouflaged block keeps its own collision shape.[2]
- To get the Shape Retaining version, put a Camo Block into a crafting grid by itself. It then takes on the shape of the block doing the camouflaging.[2]
- To remove a Camo Block, right click the camouflaged block with another Camo Block.[2]
Where it fits in the pack
Camol has its own quest, "Camol" quest, in the Building Tips chapter. It comes after the Changing Blocks quest, and its task is to obtain the Camo Block. It is a building and quality-of-life tool, not a progression gate, so you can pick it up whenever you start caring about how your base looks.[2]
Unverified The exact in-pack crafting recipe for the Camo Block is not covered by the sources available for this section, so check the in-game recipe viewer for it. This site does hold All the Mods 10: To the Sky's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with Camol?
5 parts
Camol is all about hiding things in plain sight. In this pack, the quest says it can camouflage pretty much anything, including Pipez, Mekanism cables and ATM Stars. Everything starts with one item, the Camo Block. The quest for it is "Camol" quest, and it unlocks after the Changing Blocks quest in the Building Tips chapter.[2]
First, craft the Camo Block
The Camo Block is the only thing you need to craft first, and it is also the item the quest asks you to obtain. Here is the exact in-pack recipe:[2][3]
Crafting Shaped
| any red dye | Empty slot | any green dye |
| Empty slot | any blue dye | Empty slot |
| any black dye | Empty slot | any white dye |
Recipe id: camol:camo_item
Next, pick the block you want to copy
Craft the Camo Block together with the block whose look you want to copy. That block becomes the camouflage texture. Choose it before you craft, because the Camo Block takes its appearance from what you put in with it.[2]
Then apply it
Right click the finished Camo Block on the block you want to hide, such as a cable or a pipe. By default, the camouflaged block keeps its own collision shape.[2]
Optional: switch to the Shape Retaining version
If you want the disguised block to take on the shape of the block you are camouflaging with, put the Camo Block into a crafting grid by itself. That gives you the Shape Retaining Camo Block. This is the in-pack conversion recipe:[2][3]
Convert Camo Crafting (camol)
Recipe id: camol:convert_normal_camo_item
Changed your mind? The pack also has a recipe that turns the Shape Retaining version back into a normal Camo Block.[3]
Removing a camouflage
How does Camol work?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mons 1.1.1 guide
Camol is a small mod. Going by what the sources show, it adds two disguise blocks and nothing else: Camo Block and Shape Retaining Camo Block. You use them to make a block look like another block.[4][5]
Disguising and undisguising
The in-game tooltip for Camo Block says it has to be crafted together with a block. After that, you right click a block to disguise it as the block your Camo Block carries. Right click a camoed block to undisguise it again.[4]
Shape Retaining Camo Block has the same tooltip text for crafting with a block, disguising and undisguising.[4]
Collision shape: the one real difference
The two blocks differ in which collision shape they use. The Camo Block tooltip says it uses the collision shape of the camoed block. The Shape Retaining Camo Block tooltip says it uses the collision shape of the camoing block. The mod's text doesn't go further than that, so test it in a creative world before you build anything important with it.[4]
Crafting and converting
The base Camo Block is a shaped crafting recipe. It is a mod recipe, and it makes 4 blocks per craft.[5]
Crafting Shaped
| any red dye | Empty slot | any green dye |
| Empty slot | any blue dye | Empty slot |
| any black dye | Empty slot | any white dye |
Recipe id: camol:camo_item
You don't craft the Shape Retaining version from scratch. The pack lists a conversion recipe that turns a Camo Block into a Shape Retaining Camo Block, and another that turns it back.[5]
Convert Camo Crafting (camol)
Recipe id: camol:convert_normal_camo_item
Camo Block to Shape Retaining Camo Block
Shape Retaining Camo Block back to Camo Block
What Camol doesn't have
The sources show no machines, multiblocks, power, fluid or item handling for Camol, and the pack has no config files for it. For automation, there is nothing in Camol to set up.[4][5]
How do you progress through Camol?
4 parts
Camol is a short path rather than a tier ladder. You get the Camo Block, then choose how it handles shape. That's the whole progression, so this section stays brief.[2][3]
The quest
The quest is "Camol" quest, in the Building Tips chapter. It comes after the Changing Blocks quest, and its task is to obtain the Camo Block. The quest text pitches Camol as a way to camouflage cables and pipes, from Pipez to Mekanism Cables, and even ATM Stars.[2]
Crafting the Camo Block
Crafting Shaped
| any red dye | Empty slot | any green dye |
| Empty slot | any blue dye | Empty slot |
| any black dye | Empty slot | any white dye |
Recipe id: camol:camo_item
This is the in-pack recipe for the basic Camo Block, the item the quest asks for.
Using it
- Craft the Camo Block together with the block you want to use as the camo.[2]
- Right click the result on the block you want to camouflage, such as a cable.[2]
- To remove a Camo Block, right click the camoed block with another Camo Block.[2]
Switching to Shape Retaining
By default the Camo Block takes on the collision shape of the block being camoed. The Shape Retaining Camo Block flips that: it takes on the shape of the camoing block instead. You switch by putting the Camo Block into a crafting grid by itself.[2]
Convert Camo Crafting (camol)
Recipe id: camol:convert_normal_camo_item

Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use Camol?
1 part
Camol has a single quest in the pack, and it sits in the Building Tips chapter. It's called "Camol" quest and it unlocks after you finish the Changing Blocks quest in that same chapter.[2]
The quest's task is to obtain the Camo Block. There's nothing else to hand in or build, so it works more as a tip than a challenge.[2]
What the quest teaches you
The quest pitches Camol as a way to camouflage nearly anything, including Pipez, Mekanism cables and ATM Stars. You craft the Camo Block together with the block you want to use as the camo, then right click it onto the block you want to hide, such as a cable.[2]
- By default, the Camo Block takes on the collision shape of the block it's camouflaging.[2]
- To switch to the Shape Retaining version, put the Camo Block into a crafting grid by itself. It then takes on the shape of the block doing the camouflaging.[2]
- To remove a Camo Block, right click the camouflaged block with another Camo Block.[2]
