XyCraft Override in All the Mods 10

This pack ships XyCraft Override at version 0.7.53, using the file xycraft_override-0.7.53.jar. It has been part of the pack since version 2.25 or earlier, so it isn't a new addition.^[1]

Unverified The sources I have don't describe what XyCraft Override adds or who it is meant for. There is no platform description or in-jar guidebook to draw on, so I won't guess at its features, items or recipes.

Unverified I also can't confirm where the mod fits in the pack's progression. The sources don't show any quests involving it or a place for it on the ATM Star path, so treat its role in progression as unconfirmed.

In this pack, XyCraft Override adds colored versions of vanilla building blocks. The recipes come in the colors blue, dark, green, light and red. Your first steps are about getting the colored gems and turning your favorite vanilla blocks into colored ones.^[2]

What you need first

Every recipe shown for this mod uses a Xychorium Gem of the matching color, such as Blue Xychorium Gem. That gem comes from the xycraft_world namespace, not from this mod. So your first job is to collect gems in the colors you want to build with.^[2]

Your first crafts, in order

1. Pick one color and craft a colored brick block. Blue is the example here: Blue Bricks. It's a quick way to check that your gems work.^[2]
2. Move on to the chiseled variants. The same pattern covers chiseled stone bricks, sandstone, red sandstone, deepslate, nether bricks, polished blackstone, tuff and tuff bricks. Here's Blue Chiseled Stone Bricks as the example.^[2]
3. Try the wood pillar, Blue Chiseled Wood Pillar. Its recipe accepts any planks, so use whatever wood you have spare.^[2]

This recipe takes any planks, and the pack lists a second recipe for the same pillar.

Here's the honest picture for this part of the guide: the sources for XyCraft Override in this pack show no machines, multiblocks, power, fluid or item handling. What they do show is a set of decorative building blocks, so this section stays short.^[2][3]

Colored building blocks

The mod's recipes in the sources are all shaped crafting recipes. Each one turns a vanilla building block into a colored variant. The colors are blue, dark, green, light and red, for example Blue Bricks and Red Bricks.^[2]

The same pattern covers chiseled blocks. The sources show colored versions of chiseled deepslate, chiseled nether bricks, chiseled polished blackstone and chiseled red sandstone, such as Dark Chiseled Deepslate and Green Chiseled Nether Bricks.^[2]

Chiseled variants use the same pattern, starting from the matching vanilla chiseled block.

Connected textures

Some blocks in the mod, including smooth polished tuff and smooth smooth stone, carry a tooltip saying they have a connected texture.^[3]

This mod has no tier ladder in this pack. What the recipes show is a family of decorative block variants, each made in the colors blue, dark, green, light and red.^[2]

How the progression works

Every recipe in the sources is a shaped crafting recipe that combines a vanilla block with a Xychorium Gem of the matching color. So the only step is to get the gem color you want, then craft the block variants you like.^[2]

The variants include Blue Bricks, Blue Crying Obsidian, Blue Chiseled Deepslate and Blue Chiseled Tuff. There are also chiseled sandstone, red sandstone, stone bricks, nether bricks, polished blackstone and wood pillar versions, plus deepslate bricks.^[2]

Example recipes

Vanilla bricks plus a Blue Xychorium Gem. The other colors use the matching gem.

Blue Xychorium Gem	Crying Obsidian
Crying Obsidian	Blue Xychorium Gem

Recipe id: xycraft_override:shaped/crying_obsidian_blue

Crying obsidian follows the same pattern with the matching gem color.

The deepslate bricks variants use polished deepslate as the base block instead of a block with the same name, so look at the recipe before you gather materials.^[2]

2× Blue Deepslate BricksMod recipe

Crafting Shaped

Crafting Shaped

Blue Xychorium Gem	Polished Deepslate
Polished Deepslate	Blue Xychorium Gem

Recipe id: xycraft_override:shaped/deepslate_bricks_blue

Polished deepslate plus a Blue Xychorium Gem gives Blue Deepslate Bricks.

The chiseled wood pillar is the odd one out. It takes any planks instead of a specific vanilla block, and each color has an additional recipe entry that makes the same pillar.^[2]

Crafting Shaped

Crafting Shaped

Blue Xychorium Gem	any plank
any plank	Blue Xychorium Gem

Recipe id: xycraft_override:shaped/chiseled_wood_pillar_blue

Any planks plus a Blue Xychorium Gem. The entry ending in _r gives the same result.

Unverified The sources here show no quests for this mod, so any quest chapter or tier gating around it is not confirmed. The recipe dump I was given is also cut off, so this section lists what the shown recipes confirm, not every recipe the mod adds.

In this pack, the clearest link between XyCraft Override and other mods is its set of colored building blocks. Each one is crafted from a vanilla Minecraft block plus a Xychorium Gem. The gems come from the xycraft_world namespace, not from XyCraft Override itself.^[2]

Every one of these is a standard shaped crafting recipe, and each comes in blue, dark, green, light and red. The gem's color decides the color of the block you get.^[2]

Which vanilla blocks get colored versions

Here is each vanilla block that gets a colored version, shown with its blue result as an example. The other colors follow the same pattern.^[2]

• Bricks becomes Blue Bricks.^[2]
• Chiseled Deepslate becomes Blue Chiseled Deepslate.^[2]
• Chiseled Nether Bricks becomes Blue Chiseled Nether Bricks.^[2]
• Chiseled Polished Blackstone becomes Blue Chiseled Polished Blackstone.^[2]
• Chiseled Red Sandstone becomes Blue Chiseled Red Sandstone.^[2]
• Chiseled Sandstone becomes Blue Chiseled Sandstone.^[2]
• Chiseled Stone Bricks becomes Blue Chiseled Stone Bricks.^[2]
• Chiseled Tuff becomes Blue Chiseled Tuff.^[2]
• Chiseled Tuff Bricks becomes Blue Chiseled Tuff Bricks.^[2]
• Crying Obsidian becomes Blue Crying Obsidian.^[2]
• Deepslate Tiles becomes Blue Deepslate Tiles.^[2]
• End Stone Bricks becomes Blue End Stone Bricks.^[2]
• Gilded Blackstone becomes Blue Gilded Blackstone.^[2]

Recipes that work a little differently

The colored deepslate bricks don't start from deepslate bricks. They use Polished Deepslate as the vanilla block, so Blue Deepslate Bricks is made from that.^[2]

The chiseled wood pillars accept any item from the vanilla planks tag, so any wood type works. Blue Chiseled Wood Pillar is the blue example. Each pillar color also has an extra recipe id ending in _r, and it gives the same result.^[2]

The release history for XyCraft Override in this pack is short, because the sources only record a few version points.^[1][4]

• XyCraft Override was first included in All the Mods 10 2.25 or earlier.^[1]
• All the Mods 10 4.6 updated XyCraft Override from 0.7.45 to 0.7.53.^[4]
• All the Mods 10 8.1 ships XyCraft Override 0.7.53 (file xycraft_override-0.7.53.jar), the same version that 4.6 moved to.^[1][4]

Unverified What changed inside XyCraft Override between 0.7.45 and 0.7.53 is not shown here, because the sources include no stored changelogs for the shipped jars.
