XyCraft Core in All the Mods 10

This pack ships XyCraft Core version 0.7.53, using the file xycraft_core-0.7.53-all.jar. It was first included in the pack at version 0.32 or earlier.^[1]

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

I can't give you a trustworthy first-steps order for XyCraft Core in this pack yet. The material I have to work from is very thin, and I don't want to guess at recipes or progression.^[2]

Here is what the pack data does confirm. The mod has an energy system called Xynergy, and some of its machines or tools show an "Energy per action" tooltip, so they spend Xynergy every time they do something. The mod also groups its cloud blocks under a "Colored Cloud Blocks" tag.^[2]

Unverified The first items to craft, their order, and their in-pack recipes could not be confirmed. No recipes, quests or in-game guidebook for this mod were available, so no recipe blocks are shown here. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

The sources for this pack show the matching rules that XyCraft Core provides for extractor recipes, and the settings and screen text the mod adds. Multiblocks and item or fluid automation are not covered by anything I was given, so I leave them out rather than guess.^[2][3]

How extractor recipes are built

This pack adds its extractor recipes with a server script. They use the extractor recipe type from XyCraft Machines, and XyCraft Core supplies the rules that decide which blocks and fluids count. Each recipe has a target, an optional list of adjacent blocks, an optional catalyst, an output item with a count, and a ticks value. The pack's values run from 5 to 50 ticks.^[3]

A recipe can also name a waterlogged fluid and a list of valid directions. Both are optional.^[3]

The script can describe a target, adjacent block or catalyst with any of these rule types from XyCraft Core:^[3]

• block_rule: matches one specific block.^[3]
• block_tag_rule: matches any block in a tag.^[3]
• fluid_type_rule: matches a specific fluid.^[3]
• fluid_tag_rule: matches any fluid in a tag.^[3]
• block_state_rule: matches a block state.^[3]
• property_rule: matches a block property and its value.^[3]
• fuzzy_block_state_rule: matches a block together with a set of properties.^[3]

Every recipe the pack adds uses plain block rules, apart from the fluid catalyst on the xychorium gem recipes described below.^[3]

What the pack's extractor recipes show

The recipes make good examples of the optional parts. The Black Ice recipe (from Oh The Biomes We've Gone) takes 40 ticks. It and the Spore Blossom recipe both set water as the waterlogged fluid, so water is part of those setups.^[3]

The spore blossom recipe and the Cobbled Soulstone recipe (from Mystical Agriculture) both restrict the valid direction to down. The soulstone cobble recipe takes 30 ticks.^[3]

The xychorium gem recipes from XyCraft World (blue, green, red, dark and light) take 10 ticks each. They use a fluid type rule for the catalyst, so a fluid can be part of a setup and not only blocks.^[3]

Flux Dust (from Flux Networks) is made by extractor recipes at 5 ticks each, with a charged redstone block from Applied Flux as the target. They differ only in the catalyst: one uses a flux block and the other uses bedrock.^[3]

Screen text and settings

The mod's language file has the description line "Energy per action", so you can see what an operation costs. Slots have a Strict Mode, and a message tells you which key to use to toggle it. The XyCraft controls category also has a Modifier Key binding.^[2]

The mod's client settings are named in its language file. Their values are not shown in the sources here:^[2]

• Actuator Pickup Delay.^[2]
• Visuals: Fluid Unit and UI Interpolation Rate.^[2]
• Debug Settings: Show Hidden Recipes, Show Item Tags and Show Reload Message.^[2]

Unverified XyCraft Core has a server-side option called Energy Paradigm, but the sources here show only its name. What it changes and what value this pack uses are set in the mod's server config, and the sources here do not show them.

There isn't much history to report for XyCraft Core in this pack. It has been in All the Mods 10 since version 0.32 or earlier, and All the Mods 10 8.3 ships version 0.7.53.^[1]

Pack release notes

• All the Mods 10 4.6: XyCraft Core was updated from 0.7.45 to 0.7.53.^[4]
• All the Mods 10 8.3: still on XyCraft Core 0.7.53, the same version that 4.6 moved to.^[1][4]

Unverified What actually changed inside XyCraft Core between 0.7.45 and 0.7.53 is not shown here. The sources only record the version bump, and no changelog is stored for the jar the pack ships, so check the mod's own release notes for the details.
