What is The Bumblezone - NeoForge/Forge?
2 parts
The Bumblezone adds a bee dimension full of new bee-related blocks. It looks like the inside of a bee nest, with giant walls in rows and canals of water between them. You can also run into a pollen-covered section or a canyon full of massive honey-based crystals.[1]
There are structures to explore and a unique bee armor to obtain. If you're lucky, certain structures give you a special Throne-Locating Honey Compass that leads you to a Bee Queen. The mod's advancements tab explains how to enter the dimension and what to do there.[1]
The bees fight back
The bees here are very protective of their honey. If you mine vanilla's Honey Block, destroy or take honey from a Honeycomb Brood Block, or hit a bee, every bee around you gets buffs and turns VERY angry. That's the Wrath of the Hive effect.[1]
You can calm them down by feeding bees or Honeycomb Brood Blocks your honey foods. Doing that gives you Protection of the Hive, and the bees will defend you against anyone attacking you. If the bees are too tough, you can nerf them in the config, and you can buff them if you want to die.[1]
In this pack
The pack ships The Bumblezone version 7.6.26+1.21.1-neoforge. It has been included since version 0.32 of the pack or earlier.[2]
Unverified I couldn't confirm any quests, ATM Star path steps or progression gating tied to this mod in this pack, so treat it as an optional exploration dimension.
How do you get started with The Bumblezone - NeoForge/Forge?
3 parts
The Bumblezone adds a bee dimension full of bee-themed blocks, structures and a unique bee armor. This section covers a few crafts to start with and why they are worth making. The recipe blocks show the exact in-pack recipes, so you don't have to guess.[1]
Before you craft: know the bees
Bees in this mod are very protective of their honey. If you mine vanilla's Honey Block, take honey from a Honeycomb Brood Block, or hit a bee, nearby bees get buffs and turn on you with the Wrath of the Hive effect. Feeding bees or Honeycomb Brood Blocks with honey foods can calm them down and gives you Protection of the Hive, which makes bees defend you.[1]
Your first crafts
Start with Flower Headwear. The mod's advancement says to wear it to attract bees, which is a good fit for a mod built around them.[3]

Next, make Carvable Wax. An advancement asks you to carve all the artworks on a Carvable Wax block, using shears or a sword, so this is how you start playing with the mod's wax blocks.[3]

Then try Dirt Pellet. The advancements mention killing a Phantom with thrown Dirt Pellets and smacking one back to a Rootmin.[3]
After that, brew up some Bee Soup. One advancement says to slurp it up for wild status effects, and another hints that it can be refined in a Brewing Stand.[3]
Finally, build the Bee Cannon. An advancement challenges you to load and fire a full cannon of bees.[3][4]

Where to go next
The pack has more recipes for this mod. These include Crystal Cannon, which has its own advancement for firing a full cannon of crystals, as well as Honey Crystal Shield and Honey Web. Ancient Wax and Luminescent Wax blocks also have stair, slab, channel, corner and node recipes. The mod also has a wiki, which its project page says is kept up to date.[1][3][4]
How does The Bumblezone - NeoForge/Forge work?
6 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Heads up before we dive in: the sources I have for The Bumblezone don't describe any machines, multiblocks, power, fluid handling or automation. What they do cover is the mod's core gameplay loop, which is about bees, honey and how angry the hive gets. That's what this section walks through.[1][5]
Unverified Whether The Bumblezone adds any machine, power, fluid or automation systems in this pack is not confirmed by the available sources. No in-jar guidebook or reusable documentation was found.
Wrath of the Hive and Protection of the Hive
The bees in the Bumblezone dimension are very protective of their honey. If you mine vanilla's Honey Block, destroy or take honey from a Honeycomb Brood Block, or hit a bee, the bees around you get many buffs and turn very angry. That is the Wrath of the Hive effect.[1]
You can calm them down by feeding bees or Honeycomb Brood Blocks with honey foods. Doing so gives you Protection of the Hive, and bees will then defend you against anyone attacking you. One advancement also notes that with Protection active you can collect honey from a Filled Porous Honeycomb Block or mine a Honey Block.[1][5]
How the pack tunes the bees
These are the values this pack ships in its bee aggression config. Wrath is enabled through [[config:config/the_bumblezone/bee_aggression.toml#Wrath of the Hive Options.Bees Aggression Options.allowWrath]], which is set to true. Peaceful mode always overrides the setting.[6]
- [[config:config/the_bumblezone/bee_aggression.toml#Wrath of the Hive Options.Bees Aggression Options.aggressionTriggerRadius]] is 64. This is how far away a bee can be and still turn angry and hunt you down. The allowed range is 1 to 200.[6]
- [[config:config/the_bumblezone/bee_aggression.toml#Wrath of the Hive Options.Bees Aggression Options.howLongWrathOfTheHiveLasts]] is 1680 ticks, and 20 ticks make 1 second. The bees' normal anger stays on top of this.[6]
- [[config:config/the_bumblezone/bee_aggression.toml#Protection of the Hive Options.howLongProtectionOfTheHiveLasts]] is also 1680 ticks. This is how long Protection lasts after you feed bees or Brood Blocks.[6]
- Angry bees get speed level 2 ([[config:config/the_bumblezone/bee_aggression.toml#Wrath of the Hive Options.Bee Buffs From Wrath.speedBoostLevel]]), absorption level 1 ([[config:config/the_bumblezone/bee_aggression.toml#Wrath of the Hive Options.Bee Buffs From Wrath.absorptionBoostLevel]]) and strength level 1 ([[config:config/the_bumblezone/bee_aggression.toml#Wrath of the Hive Options.Bee Buffs From Wrath.strengthBoostLevel]]).[6]
- [[config:config/the_bumblezone/bee_aggression.toml#Wrath of the Hive Options.Bees Aggression Options.allowWrathOfTheHiveOutsideBumblezone]] is false, so picking up honey outside the dimension won't give you Wrath. [[config:config/the_bumblezone/bee_aggression.toml#Wrath of the Hive Options.Bees Aggression Options.beehemothTriggersWrath]] is also false.[6]
- [[config:config/the_bumblezone/bee_aggression.toml#Wrath of the Hive Options.Bees Aggression Options.showWrathOfTheHiveParticles]] is true, so you'll see the orange-ish particles when you anger the bees.[6]
The config explains what absorption level 1 means in practice. It gives bees 4 extra health, which is 2 hearts, that instantly regenerates. Your hits need to deal more than that padding to hurt the bee's real health bar. The config also says that strength 5 or higher would kill you instantly without armor, so be careful if you raise it.[6]

Feeding and handling bees
Honey Bucket is your main feeding tool. According to the advancements, you can use it to grow a baby bee up instantly, to put a group of adult bees in love, and to grow bee larva in certain brood blocks. You can craft it from a bucket and a honey block.[5][7]
Feeding Bee Bread to bees speeds them up, and the advancement for this is about reaching maximum speed. You can also wash pollen off a bee with a Wet Sponge, Water Bucket or Water Bottle.[5]
Cannons and throwables
The Bee Cannon and the Crystal Cannon are loaded and fired, and each has an advancement for firing a full load of bees or crystals. The Crystal Cannon is crafted from a Bee Cannon.[5][7]

Dirt Pellet can be thrown. One advancement has you kill a Phantom with them, and another has you smack one back to a Rootmin.[5]
Wax, honey residue and cleanup
You carve Ancient Wax and Luminescent Wax blocks with Shears or a Sword. A tool with the Comb Cutter enchantment carves through wax quickly. The Luminescent Wax channel blocks can be turned into their matching corner blocks, for example the blue one.[5][7]

Honey can leave a mess behind. Sticky Honey Residue and webs of honey can be cleaned up with a Wet Sponge, Water Bucket or Water Bottle, and the residue is also the base for Honey Web.[5][7]

Essence client options
This pack's client config controls how Knowing Essence highlights things. It is on for bosses in purple ([[config:config/the_bumblezone/client.toml#Knowing Essence Highlighting Configs (see block and entity tags for even more options).knowingEssenceHighlightBosses]]), monsters in red, other mobs in orange, common items in white and epic items in purple. Every one of these is set to true.[8]
When an Essence item is in your offhand, the HUD shows rotating texture layers. [[config:config/the_bumblezone/client.toml#Essence Item HUD Rendering Configs.essenceItemHUDVisualEffectLayers]] is 3, with a range of 0 to 3, and 0 turns the rendering off. The spin speed ([[config:config/the_bumblezone/client.toml#Essence Item HUD Rendering Configs.essenceItemHUDVisualEffectSpeed]]) is 1, and 0 turns the spinning off.[8]
How do you progress through The Bumblezone - NeoForge/Forge?
4 parts
Here's the honest picture for this pack: the sources I have for The Bumblezone only cover its crafting recipes. They don't show a quest line or an official tier ladder for the mod, so I won't invent one. What they do show is a few small crafting chains you can follow as you get further into the mod.[4]
Unverified No quest for The Bumblezone is confirmed in the sources provided, so there is no verified quest-driven progression path for this mod in this pack. The recipe list I was given is also partial, so there may be recipes not covered here.
Cannons: Bee Cannon to Crystal Cannon
The clearest upgrade step in the recipes is the cannon line. The Bee Cannon is crafted first, and the Crystal Cannon recipe is the step up from it, using Honey Crystal items as well.[4]

Other recipes
- Bee Soup is a shapeless food recipe.[4]
- Honey Web is crafted from Sticky Honey Residue.[4]
- Flower Headwear and Dirt Pellet both have simple recipes in the pack.[4]
How does The Bumblezone - NeoForge/Forge work with other mods?
Unverified No in-pack recipes or quests that combine Bumblezone items with items from other mods could be confirmed, so this guide doesn't list any mod-to-mod integrations for it in this pack.
The mod's project page only describes its link to vanilla Minecraft. If you mine vanilla's Honey Block, take honey from a Honeycomb Brood Block, or hit a bee, nearby bees get buffs and become very angry because you gain the Wrath of the Hive effect. Feeding bees or the brood block with honey foods can calm them down and gives you Protection of the Hive, so bees defend you.[1]
The page also says bee strength can be adjusted in the mod's config. It doesn't name any other mods that work with Bumblezone, so for anything beyond that, check the quest book and recipe viewer in your own game.[1]
Which The Bumblezone - NeoForge/Forge config options matter?
5 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
The Bumblezone has a lot of config files, so here are the options you're most likely to notice in play, with the exact values this pack uses. The bees are the big one: they get really angry if you take their honey, and the config lets you tune how angry.[1]
Unverified The pack files list the values this pack uses but not the mod's own defaults, so I can't confirm which of the values below the pack changed. Treat them all as this pack's settings, not as proof of a change.
Wrath of the Hive
Wrath is switched on with [[config:config/the_bumblezone/bee_aggression.toml#Wrath of the Hive Options.Bees Aggression Options.allowWrath]] set to true. Bees within [[config:config/the_bumblezone/bee_aggression.toml#Wrath of the Hive Options.Bees Aggression Options.aggressionTriggerRadius]] = 64 can get angry and hunt you down. Peaceful mode always overrides the setting.[6]
- [[config:config/the_bumblezone/bee_aggression.toml#Wrath of the Hive Options.Bees Aggression Options.howLongWrathOfTheHiveLasts]] is 1680 ticks (20 ticks = 1 second).[6]
- Angry bees get speed [[config:config/the_bumblezone/bee_aggression.toml#Wrath of the Hive Options.Bee Buffs From Wrath.speedBoostLevel]] = 2, absorption [[config:config/the_bumblezone/bee_aggression.toml#Wrath of the Hive Options.Bee Buffs From Wrath.absorptionBoostLevel]] = 1 and strength [[config:config/the_bumblezone/bee_aggression.toml#Wrath of the Hive Options.Bee Buffs From Wrath.strengthBoostLevel]] = 1.[6]
- [[config:config/the_bumblezone/bee_aggression.toml#Wrath of the Hive Options.Bees Aggression Options.allowWrathOfTheHiveOutsideBumblezone]] is false, so grabbing honey outside the dimension won't give you Wrath.[6]
- [[config:config/the_bumblezone/bee_aggression.toml#Wrath of the Hive Options.Bees Aggression Options.beehemothTriggersWrath]] is false, so hurting someone else's beehemoth doesn't hand out Wrath.[6]
- Protection of the Hive, the effect you get for feeding bees or Brood Blocks, lasts for [[config:config/the_bumblezone/bee_aggression.toml#Protection of the Hive Options.howLongProtectionOfTheHiveLasts]] = 1680 ticks.[6]
Entering and leaving the dimension
Teleporting in and out is handled by the mod: [[config:config/the_bumblezone/dimension.toml#The Bumblezone Teleportation Options.enableEntranceTeleportation]] and [[config:config/the_bumblezone/dimension.toml#The Bumblezone Teleportation Options.enableExitTeleportation]] are both true. [[config:config/the_bumblezone/dimension.toml#The Bumblezone Teleportation Options.allowTeleportationWithModdedBeehives]] is also true, so modded nests and hives work too. [[config:config/the_bumblezone/dimension.toml#The Bumblezone Teleportation Options.onlyOverworldHivesTeleports]] and [[config:config/the_bumblezone/dimension.toml#The Bumblezone Teleportation Options.forceExitToOverworld]] are false, and [[config:config/the_bumblezone/dimension.toml#The Bumblezone Teleportation Options.defaultDimension]] is "minecraft:overworld".[9]
[[config:config/the_bumblezone/dimension.toml#The Bumblezone Teleportation Options.warnPlayersOfWrongBlockUnderHive]] is true. If a block tag requires a certain block under the hive, you get a warning telling you which block is needed. The first-time welcome message ([[config:config/the_bumblezone/dimension.toml#The Bumblezone Welcome Options.enableInitialWelcomeMessage]]) is turned off.[9]
Bee Queen and Crystalline Flower
- Bonus trades: [[config:config/the_bumblezone/general.toml#Bee Queen Options.beeQueenBonusTradeRewardMultiplier]] is 3, [[config:config/the_bumblezone/general.toml#Bee Queen Options.beeQueenBonusTradeAmountTillSatified]] is 24 boosted trades, and [[config:config/the_bumblezone/general.toml#Bee Queen Options.beeQueenBonusTradeDurationInTicks]] is 24,000 ticks before she asks for a new item.[10]
- [[config:config/the_bumblezone/general.toml#Bee Queen Options.beeQueenRespawning]] is true, so she can respawn in the Throne Pillar when you locate it with a fresh Throne Honey Compass.[10]
- The Crystalline Flower uses [[config:config/the_bumblezone/general.toml#Crystalline Flower Options.crystallineFlowerEnchantingPowerAllowedPerTier]] = 8, with no extra tier cost or extra XP requirement (both 0). It eats item entities and XP orbs that touch it, and its GUI accepts items and XP.[10]
Essence cooldowns
Cooldowns are in ticks. Calming, Life and Radiance Essence are all 12,000, Knowing is 18,000, Raging is 36,000 and Continuity is 48,000. [[config:config/the_bumblezone/general.toml#Essence Item And Events Options.repeatableEssenceEvents]] is true, so you can repeat the Sempiternal Sanctum events after beating them once. Raging Essence uses the strength levels [1,2,3,5,8,14,20] via [[config:config/the_bumblezone/general.toml#Essence Item And Events Options.ragingEssenceStrengthLevels]].[10]
Bees and visuals
[[config:config/the_bumblezone/general.toml#Special Bee Spawning Options.specialBeeSpawning]] is on with [[config:config/the_bumblezone/general.toml#Special Bee Spawning Options.nearbyBeesPerPlayerInBz]] = 25, and Brood Blocks spawn bees up to a cap of 40 ([[config:config/the_bumblezone/general.toml#General Mechanics Options.broodBlocksBeeSpawnCapacity]]).[10]
On the client side, the dimension fog is enabled with brightness 100 and thickness 4. If the fog bugs you, tweak [[config:config/the_bumblezone/client.toml#The Bumblezone Client Dimension Options.fogThickness]] or [[config:config/the_bumblezone/client.toml#The Bumblezone Client Dimension Options.fogBrightnessPercentage]]. The Wrath music ([[config:config/the_bumblezone/client.toml#Music configs.playWrathOfHiveEffectMusic]]) is on too.[8]
What changed in The Bumblezone - NeoForge/Forge between versions?
5 parts
All the Mods 10 0.48 ships The Bumblezone 7.6.26 for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge, and the mod has been in the pack since 0.32 or earlier. There are no pack changelog entries for this mod, so everything below comes from the mod's own changelogs, newest first.[2]
7.6.26 (the version in this pack)
- Honey Block, Amethyst Block, Quartz Block, Diamond Block and Emerald Block now give more XP to the Crystalline Flower, matching what you would have got by feeding it the raw base ingredients.[11]
- Ars Nouveau's Experience Gems now give their full experience when fed to the Crystalline Flower.[11]
- Jigsaw Block match up and piece intersection checking for Bumblezone structures was slightly optimized.[11]
7.6.25
- Fixed a typo that stopped the Crystalline Flower's xp_2_when_consumed data file from being parsed.[12]
- Fixed Essence of Life defaulting a crop block's non-age properties.[12]
- Farmer's Delight Knives can now be enchanted with the Comb Cutter enchantment.[12]
- Added compat with Biomes We've Gone: flowers are handled better, Pollen Puff works on their Pumpkin Warden and Oddions, and Life Essence now grows their White Puffball block.[12]
The release before 7.6.25
- Fixed the Cosmic Crystal Entity breaking non-arena blocks when its arena despawns.[12]
- Fixed Giant Spikes of Glistering Honey Crystal, and the Howling Construct biome's giant spikes, from placing blocks in Sempiternal Sanctum's Heavy Air or other structures' Windy Air areas.[12]
- Mutant Monster's Endersoul Hands, Bosses of Mass Destruction's Earthdiver Spear and its Charged Ender Pearl can now send you to the Bumblezone through beehives.[12]
7.6.23
- The mod was updated to Minecraft 1.21.1.[13]
- Fixed Block Entity validation issues with Suspicious Pile of Pollen.[13]
The release before 7.6.23 (Minecraft 1.21)
- Terrain noise was adjusted so chunk generation in the Bumblezone is faster, and so Tectonic doesn't make it slower or more memory intensive.[13]
- Pile of Pollen and Suspicious Pile of Pollen no longer vertically slow entities that have Slow Falling.[13]
- Essence of Knowledge now highlights Silverfish infested blocks, Vaults, Decorated Pots, Brewing Stands, Chiseled Bookshelves and Trial Spawners, and highlights certain blocks from other mods.[13]
- Fixed the Stinger Spear not being enchantable with Loyalty or Impaling, and added an enchantment tag to prevent unwanted enchantments on it.[13]
- Added Bee Queen color randomizing trades for a lot of other mods.[13]
