What is Nature's Aura?
1 part
Nature's Aura is a magic mod about collecting, using and replenishing the Aura that is already present in the world, and turning it into useful devices and unique mechanics. This pack ships version 41.9.[1][2]
Aura isn't stored in floating nodes. It's everywhere in the world, and the type you get depends on the dimension you're in. If you drain an area completely, you get diminishing returns. So the mod is a balancing game: take Aura, use it, and put it back.[3]
It's a good fit if you like slow, build-it-yourself magic progression with multiblocks, rituals and some light automation. The mod requires Patchouli, and its in-game Book of Natural Aura guides you. Chapters unlock as you complete Advancements.[1][4]
Where it fits in this pack
The pack has its own Nature's Aura quest chapter that walks you through the basics, starting with "Welcome to Nature's Aura" quest. The early path looks like this:[5]
- Craft Brilliant Fiber and right-click leaves with it to turn them into Golden Leaves.[5]
- Break the Golden Leaves to get Gold Leaf, which you need for Gold Powder.[5]
- Build the Ritual of the Forest from 8 Wooden Stand blocks, 16 Gold Powder and an Oak or Jungle Sapling, depending on the recipe. The Gold Powder is consumed, so make plenty.[5]
- Craft Token of Joy, the first Token. Tokens are important crafting materials in this mod.[5]
- Build the Natural Altar multiblock, which the quest says you need to keep progressing. Use it to make Infused Iron Ingot and Tainted Gold Ingot.[5]
The Ritual of the Forest also makes the Environmental Eye, which you wear in your Charm slot to watch Aura levels. For more Aura, the quests point you to the Canopy Diminisher and the Herbivorous Absorber.[5]
Unverified The sources I was given don't show Nature's Aura on the ATM Star quest path, so I can't say where it fits in that route.
How do you get started with Nature's Aura?
6 parts
Nature's Aura is a magic mod about using and replenishing Aura. The pack's quest chapter walks you through the basics, and the order below follows it. Everything starts with Brilliant Fiber.[5]
Brilliant Fiber and Golden Leaves
Your first quest, "Welcome to Nature's Aura" quest, asks for Brilliant Fiber. Right-click any leaves with it and they turn into Golden Leaves. The quest also tells you to read the Book of Natural Aura, which can show you how to build the mod's multiblocks.[5]

Gold Leaf and Gold Powder
Breaking Golden Leaves has a high chance to drop Gold Leaf. Gold Leaf is needed for Gold Powder, and the quest "Gold Leaves" quest asks you to collect 4 Gold Leaf.[5]
Wooden Stands and the Ritual of the Forest
"Ritual of the Forest" quest explains that the Ritual of the Forest is a multiblock structure made from 8 Wooden Stand and 16 Gold Powder, plus an Oak or Jungle Sapling, depending on the recipe. You place the items for the recipe on the stands and grow the sapling in the middle. The Gold Powder is consumed, so you will need a lot of it.[5]

Your first rituals
Token of Joy is the first Token you should craft. Tokens are important crafting materials for items in the mod. The pack changed this recipe from the mod's default.[5][7]

Next, make the Environmental Eye with the Ritual of the Forest. Wear it in your Charm slot and it shows the Aura levels in the top left corner of the screen. This recipe is also changed by the pack.[5][7]

The Natural Altar
The Natural Altar uses up Aura for each recipe and is needed to continue progressing in the mod. It is a multiblock made from the altar itself, 20 Planks, 16 Stone Bricks, 8 Golden Stone Bricks and 4 Chiseled Stone Bricks. The pack changed its ritual recipe, and the quest is "Natural Alter" quest.[5][7]

Infused Iron and Tainted Gold
Once the altar stands, place an Iron Ingot on it to get Infused Iron Ingot, or a Gold Ingot to get Tainted Gold Ingot. The Infused Iron process is quicker, and Tainted Gold takes longer. The pack changed both altar recipes from the mod's defaults.[5][7]

From here the quests branch into more Tokens, the Aura Cache and Aura creation with the Canopy Diminisher and Herbivorous Absorber.[5]
How does Nature's Aura work?
5 parts
Aura works differently from most mod energy systems, so it's worth understanding before you build anything. It isn't stored in floating nodes. It is present everywhere in the world, and the dimension you're in changes which kind of Aura you get. Adding or removing it affects an area around the spot where the change happened, and the size of that area depends on the apparatus you used.[3]
If you drain an area and then add a generating device, the new device renews the drained area first and only then fills its own surroundings. A draining device placed near a rich area behaves the same way in reverse. Aura also drifts around to balance itself out, so give a setup some time before you judge it. There's one more behavior to watch: Aura fizzling. Once Aura has spread far enough from where it started, it slowly fizzles out. Closer to the origin it isn't affected.[3]
Reading Aura levels
The Environmental Eye shows you what's going on while you hold it in your hotbar. One bar shows how full an Aura-bearing block is. Another bar at the top left shows the Aura around you, and half full means the default level. When Aura goes past either end of the bar, the Eye can't tell you by how much.[8]
The Environmental Ocular is the upgrade. Its gauge is twice as large, and it shows active Aura Imbalance effects as icons next to the bar. A crossed-out icon means the effect needs Effect Powder that isn't present, or that it's currently being inhibited by its powder. It also works from anywhere in your inventory, not just the hotbar.[9]
For monitoring from a distance, the Aura Detector outputs a redstone signal based on the nearby Aura, as long as you attach a Comparator to it. Its range is similar to the Eye's. The pack changes this recipe, so use the one below rather than any default you remember.[7][10]

Creating Aura and its limit
Most creation devices can't push Aura past the range of the Environmental Eye by default. Once an area gets close to that point, some devices shut off completely and others keep running without creating anything. When that happens you'll see red sparks coming from them. You can also stop them manually with an Aura Detector or similar.[11]
The Creational Catalyst removes that limit. Place it directly below a creational device and the device can generate far beyond the normal cap, at no extra cost. Keep fizzling in mind, though, because endless generation may be of little use. The Aura Detector is the suggested way to deal with that.[3][12]
- Ancient Trees slowly raise Aura back toward normal through their leaves, but the leaves die off as they give up their Aura. They only work in the overworld.[13]
- The Disentangler of Mortals frees the soul of a passive animal killed close to it as a big burst of Aura. Babies give less, and the longer an animal has lived, the significantly more it gives. The guide suggests waiting about one and a half hours. Those animals won't drop their usual loot, and giving it another death while it's still converting a soul wastes both the soul and the drops.[14]
- The Reaper of Ender Heights needs a chorus flower grown at most about two blocks away. Once the plant is tall enough, a redstone signal makes it harvest the whole plant. The higher and broader the plant, the more Aura you get.[15]
- The Rose of Oblivion grows after the Ender Dragon dies. Drop an Ender Eye next to it and it consumes the eye and releases a lot of Aura. You can't stop or harvest it mid-process, and it doesn't need a Creational Catalyst.[16]
- The Firecracker Gaze launches fireworks dropped around it and turns the explosion into Aura, depending on how complex the firework is. Fireworks dropped while it is already busy are consumed for nothing, so automate it with a timer.[17]
- The Herbivorous Absorber consumes small flowers nearby. Feeding it the same flower over and over stops it from getting Aura out of that flower, and it takes about six different kinds for maximum efficiency. It only works in the overworld.[6]
- The Canopy Diminisher stops oaks within about 10 blocks from growing big, and turns the extra energy of those saplings into Aura. That makes it a natural fit for an automatic tree farm. It also only works in the overworld.[18]
- The Swamp Homi strips moss from nearby mossy blocks and makes a bit of Aura for each block.[19]
- The Shooting Mark turns projectiles into Aura, and stronger projectiles give more. You have to hit its four sides in order, starting with the north face. Hits on a non-active side give nothing.[20]
- The Offshoot Observer turns the splitting of Slimes and Magma Cubes into Aura. Splits that happen while it is still dispersing Aura add nothing.[21]
- The Ritual of the Brewer converts a positive Lingering Potion thrown nearby into Aura. Only one effect converts at a time, so extra potions are wasted.[22]
Storing and moving Aura
The Aura Cache lets you carry Aura with you. Place it on a Natural Altar and wait for the Aura to drain into it. The Aura Trove is the higher tier, with three times the storage.[23][24]

To move Aura across the world, use the Aura Attraction Cart. Put it on a rail and run it over a powered Activator Rail so it hooks onto the Aura around it. It drops the Aura again at an unpowered Activator Rail. Some of the excess is lost on the way, so expect a cost.[25]
Automation tools
The Automatic Constructor crafts anything you can make in a Crafting Table. You build a structure with the constructor in the center. The arrow marks the top of the recipe, as if pointing at the top row of a crafting grid. Drop the ingredients onto the Ancient Logs in the normal layout, and after a couple of seconds the result drops out of the bottom.[26]

The Redstone Aura Vaporizer is a timer built around Bottled Aura. A bottle of sunlight lasts a second, ghosts a minute and darkness an hour. The timer emits a short redstone pulse each time a vaporization finishes, and the Aura flows back into the bowl. The bottles and amounts you use set the interval, up to once every sixty-four hours. You can insert and extract bottles by hand or with automation, and a redstone signal resets the progress.[27]

- The Adept Hopper works like a Hopper but is a bit faster. Attach Item Frames holding items to any side and only those items pass, both for pulling and for insertion. Interacting with it inverts the filter, and with no frames at all everything passes. With an Environmental Eye equipped you can see the stored item count and the mode.[28]
- The Item Distributor takes items from containers on top and splits them equally across the containers on its sides. With an Environmental Eye equipped, sneak-interact to switch it to random mode.[29]
- The Item Grounder makes dropped items only pickable by sneaking players. Its range runs from 0 to 8 blocks, set by the redstone signal strength.[30]
- The Powder Manipulator places Effect Powder from an adjacent chest when it gets a redstone pulse. Another pulse collects the powder and returns it to a nearby chest.[31]
- The Corporeal Eye keeps animals inside its area without any blocks around it. The stronger the redstone signal, the bigger the area.[32]
Imbalance and Effect Powder
Too much or too little Aura causes Aura Imbalance effects. Some positive ones kick in at fixed fractions of the Eye's gauge. Increase of Fertility begins beyond about two thirds, with Powder of Fertility nearby. Vegetational Increase shows up around three quarters. Natural Storage starts when the bar is about half above the regular amount, and it fills Aura Caches carried by nearby players.[33][34][35]
Effect Powder either inhibits a passive positive effect or enables effects that need it. Place a stack on the ground and the effect range in blocks equals the stack size. Hit the powder to pick it up again. Draining Aura is the dangerous direction: Natural Decay kills grass and leaves, and extremely low levels can lead to Unstable Outbreak, with sporadic explosions on the surface.[36][37][38]
Unverified The sources here include no config files for this mod in the pack, so exact Aura amounts, device output rates and storage capacities are not shown. Only the relative behavior described above is confirmed.
How do you progress through Nature's Aura?
6 parts
Nature's Aura has a clear quest line in this pack, and it works like a ladder. You start with Gold Leaves, move on to the Ritual of the Forest, then the Natural Altar, then the Offering Table, and finally the Ingot of the Depths. Here is the route, step by step.[5]
Tier 1: Golden Leaves and the Ritual of the Forest
The first quest asks for Brilliant Fiber. Right-click any leaves with it to turn them into Golden Leaves. Breaking those leaves has a high chance to drop Gold Leaf, which you need to make Gold Powder.[5]

Next comes the Ritual of the Forest. It is a multiblock built from 8 Wooden Stand blocks and 16 Gold Powder, plus an Oak or Jungle Sapling depending on the recipe. You put the recipe items on the stands and grow the sapling in the middle. The Gold Powder is consumed, so you will need a lot.[5]
The Crumbling Catalyst makes this much cheaper. Used on the altar, it turns each Gold Leaf into 4 Gold Powder instead of 2.[5][7]
The ritual makes the Environmental Eye and the Ancient Sapling. The Environmental Eye goes in your Charm slot and shows aura levels in the top left corner of the screen. Ancient Saplings grow into trees that try to keep the local aura at normal levels.[5][7]
The pack changes the ritual recipes for the Token of Joy, the Environmental Eye and the Natural Altar, so use the in-pack recipes below. Tokens are important crafting materials, and the Token of Joy is the first one you should make.[5][7]

Tier 2: The Natural Altar
The quest calls the Natural Altar a must for continuing in the mod. It is a multiblock made from 1 Natural Altar, 20 Planks, 16 Stone Bricks, 8 Golden Stone Bricks and 4 Chiseled Stone Bricks. It uses up aura for each recipe.[5]
Two ingots come from the altar, and the pack changed both recipes. Any iron ingot becomes Infused Iron Ingot, and any gold ingot becomes Tainted Gold Ingot. Infused Iron is the quicker of the two.[5][7]

Infused Iron unlocks your first tools: the Botanist's Pickaxe is listed as Tier 3 and the Botanist's Blade as 6 attack damage. It also unlocks the Aura Cache for storing aura.[5][39]
Generating and bottling aura
Right-click the air with a Bottle and Cork to bottle aura. What you get depends on the dimension: Sunlight in the Overworld, Ghosts in the Nether and Darkness in the End. In an area with a severe lack of aura, you get Bottled Vacuum instead.[5]
For more aura, the quests point you to the Canopy Diminisher and the Herbivorous Absorber. Both are described as simple, easy ways to generate it.[5]
Tier 3: The Offering Table and the Skies
The Offering to the Gods is a multiblock made from 1 Offering Table and 36 flowers. Each offering needs Spirit of Calling items, and the pack changes that recipe.[5][7]

Offer Infused Iron or Tainted Gold on the table and you get an Ingot of the Skies. Offering your tokens upgrades them, for example into the Token of Euphoria and Token of Terror, and the more advanced recipes need those upgraded tokens.[5][7]
Sky Ingots open up the Skyseeker's Pickaxe, listed as Tier 4, and the Skyseeker's Blade, listed as 7 attack damage. The Aura Trove is the upgraded version of the Aura Cache. The quest for the Altar of Birthing comes after the Ingots of the Skies and the Upgraded Tokens, and it also asks for Spirit of Birthing items, which are made by breeding animals in areas with large amounts of aura.[5][39]

The Soulstrider's Pickaxe is listed as Tier 5 and can vein-mine chunks of ore. The Soulstrider's Blade is listed at 9 attack damage.[7][39]
Useful side branches
- The Staff of Riches (Staff of Riches) highlights all storage containers in a 64 block radius for about 1 minute. The pack changes its recipe.[5][7]
- The Staff of Ancient Knowledge (Staff of Ancient Knowledge) highlights nearby Ancient Debris. The pack changes its recipe too.[5][7]
- The Eye of the Pillager, Eye of the Blaze and Eye of the Shulker each locate a specific structure.[5]
- The Ender Crate works like an Ender Chest for moving items around. The Ender Ocular is its handheld version.[5]
How does Nature's Aura work with other mods?
2 parts
The clearest link between Nature's Aura and another mod in this pack is Productive Bees. The pack has Productive Bees centrifuge recipes that give Nature's Aura ingots, and Nature's Aura offering recipes for configurable bees. The recipe dump marks these recipes as changed by the pack.[7]
Centrifuge recipes: Aura ingots from honeycombs
The recipes below are Productive Bees centrifuge recipes. They output Infused Iron Ingot, Ingot of the Skies and Tainted Gold Ingot, and each one also outputs Wax. The dump lists no item inputs for them, so check the recipe viewer in game for exactly what goes into the centrifuge.[7]

These ingots are normally made on your own Nature's Aura setup. Infused Iron Ingot and Tainted Gold Ingot come from the Natural Altar, and Ingot of the Skies comes from the Offering Table. The centrifuge recipes give you a bee-based route to the same ingots.[5][7]
Offering recipes: bees at the Offering Table
Nature's Aura has its own offering recipe type, and Productive Bees adds recipes to it. Each one takes a Spirit of Calling and a configurable bee. You get the bee back, plus a configurable bee spawn egg. The recipe ids are named after a sky ingot bee and a depth ingot bee.[7]

Which All the Mods 10 quests use Nature's Aura?
6 parts
Nature's Aura has its own quest chapter in the pack, and a handful of its tools also show up in the Basic Tools chapter. The Nature's Aura chapter is a branching tree, so here is the route in the order the quests unlock.[5][39]
Starting out
- "Welcome to Nature's Aura" quest asks you to craft Brilliant Fiber. Right-clicking leaves with it turns them into Golden Leaves. The quest also tells you to read the Book of Natural Aura, which can show you how to build the mod's multiblocks.[5]
- "Gold Leaves" quest wants 4 Gold Leaf. Breaking Golden Leaves has a high chance to drop one, and you need Gold Leaf to make Gold Powder.[5]
- "Ritual of the Forest" quest asks for an Oak or Jungle Sapling, 8 Wooden Stand and 16 Gold Powder. This is the Ritual of the Forest multiblock.[5]
After the Ritual of the Forest
Finishing the ritual quest opens four quests at once: "Token of Joy" quest for Token of Joy, a quest in "Nature's Aura" for the Environmental Eye, "Ancient Trees" quest for the Ancient Sapling, and "Bottles of Aura" quest, which wants three Aura Bottle. The Environmental Eye is made with the Ritual of the Forest and worn in your Charm slot to show aura levels in the top left of the screen. Ancient Saplings also come from the ritual.[5]
The bottle branch
Once you have bottled aura, three quests open. "Ender Crates and Oculars" quest asks for an Ender Crate and an Ender Ocular. "Structure Finders" quest asks for the Eye of the Pillager, Eye of the Blaze and Eye of the Shulker. "Aura Creation" quest asks for the Canopy Diminisher and Herbivorous Absorber, and it also needs a quest in "Nature's Aura" from the altar branch.[5]
The Natural Altar branch
"Other Tokens" quest follows Token of Joy and asks for Token of Fear, Token of Anger and Token of Sorrow. "Natural Alter" quest also follows Token of Joy. It asks you to build the Natural Altar multiblock, which the quest says is needed to keep progressing in the mod. The quest includes an image of the setup.[5]
- a quest in "Nature's Aura" asks for Infused Iron Ingot, made by placing an Iron Ingot on the altar. It is quicker than Tainted Gold.[5]
- "Tainted Gold" quest asks for Tainted Gold Ingot, made by placing a Gold Ingot on the altar. It takes longer than Infused Iron.[5]
- "Catalysts" quest asks for the Crumbling Catalyst and Transmutation Catalyst, which go on the altar as pillar toppers. The Crumbling Catalyst turns each Gold Leaf into 4 Gold Powder instead of 2.[5]
- "Aura Cache" quest asks for the Aura Cache, which stores aura. It unlocks after the Infused Iron quest.[5]
Offering Table and beyond
- a quest in "Nature's Aura" needs the Infused Iron, Tainted Gold and Other Tokens quests. It asks for an Offering Table and 3 Spirit of Calling.[5]
- "Ingots of the Skies" quest asks for the Ingot of the Skies, made by using Infused Iron or Tainted Gold Ingots on the Offering Table.[5]
- "Aura Trove" quest asks for the Aura Trove, an upgraded Aura Cache. It needs the Aura Cache and Ingots of the Skies quests.[5]
- "Upgraded Tokens" quest asks for Token of Euphoria, Token of Terror, Token of Rage and Token of Grief. You make them by using your Tokens on the Offering Table.[5]
- "Altar of Birthing" quest asks for the Altar of Birthing and a Spirit of Birthing. Spirits of Birthing come from breeding animals in areas with lots of aura.[5]
- "Ingots of the Depths" quest asks for the Ingot of the Depths, which unlocks after Ingots of the Skies.[5]
- a quest in "Nature's Aura" asks for the Staff of Ancient Knowledge, which highlights nearby Ancient Debris.[5]
- "Staff of Riches" quest asks for the Staff of Riches. It highlights storage containers in a 64 block radius for about 1 minute.[5]
Basic Tools chapter
Several Nature's Aura tools count toward Basic Tools quests, which all follow the chapter's opening quest. Most accept an item from another mod as an alternative.[39]
- a quest in "Basic Tools" (Tier: 3) accepts the Botanist's Pickaxe or a Roots Classic pickaxe. The Botanist's Pickaxe turns blocks it interacts with into their mossy variants, if they have one.[39]
- a quest in "Basic Tools" (6 Attack Damage) accepts the Botanist's Blade or a Roots Classic sword.[39]
- a quest in "Basic Tools" (Tier: 4) accepts the Skyseeker's Pickaxe or one of several pickaxes from other mods.[39]
- a quest in "Basic Tools" (7 Attack Damage) accepts the Skyseeker's Blade or a sword from another mod.[39]
- a quest in "Basic Tools" (Tier: 5) asks for the Soulstrider's Pickaxe, which can vein-mine chunks of ore.[39]
- a quest in "Basic Tools" (9 Attack Damage) asks for the Soulstrider's Blade.[39]
What changed in Nature's Aura between versions?
1 part
Nature's Aura is in All the Mods 10 8.1 at version 41.9 (NaturesAura-41.9.jar). The pack's mod list says it was first included in All the Mods 10 2.25 or earlier.[2]
Version bumps in the pack changelogs
- All the Mods 10 4.0: Nature's Aura was updated from 41.6 to 41.7.[40]
- All the Mods 10 4.11: Nature's Aura was updated from 41.7 to 41.9.[41]
The 4.11 update to 41.9 matches the version the 8.1 mod list shows.[2][41]
Unverified What changed inside the mod between 41.6, 41.7 and 41.9 is not shown in the sources here. The pack changelogs only record the version numbers, and there are no stored changelogs for the shipped jars, so I can't say which features, fixes or balance changes came with each update.
