Item Collectors in All the Mods 10

Item Collectors adds collector blocks that pull in dropped items within a set range and put them straight into storage. If you're tired of chasing item drops around your farms or base, this mod is for you. It's a small, simple utility mod, and that's its charm.^[1]

This pack includes Item Collectors 1.1.10 for NeoForge on Minecraft 1.21.^[2]

The two collectors

• The Basic Item Collector has a range of up to 5 blocks. Right-click it to open its GUI.^[1]
• The Advanced Item Collector reaches up to 7 blocks, opens its GUI the same way, and can also filter items. Items can be whitelisted or blacklisted.^[1]

How it works

1. Place the block you want the items to go into, such as a chest.^[1]
2. Place the Item Collector on top of it. Collected items go into the block directly below the collector.^[1]
3. Right-click the collector and use the arrow buttons to set the range separately for the x, y and z axes.^[1]

Where it fits in the pack

Unverified The sources I have don't show where Item Collectors fits in this pack's progression. It isn't on the ATM Star path, and no quests involve it. I also can't confirm whether the pack changes the recipes or the 5 and 7 block ranges from the mod's own project page, so check the recipes in-game. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

Item Collectors is a small mod with two blocks, and both do the same basic job: they pick up items lying around in an area and move them into storage for you. That saves you from chasing drops after mob farms, mining or tree chopping.^[1][3]

Step 1: Make a Basic Collector

Start with the Basic Collector. It picks up items in an area around itself, and the project page lists a range of up to 5 blocks. It's the only collector you can make from scratch, and you need it before you can make the advanced one.^[1][3][4]

Step 2: Place it and set the range

1. Place the block you want the items to go into, such as a chest.^[1]
2. Place the collector on top of that block. Collected items go into the block directly below the collector.^[1]
3. Right-click the collector to open its GUI. Use the arrow buttons to change the range on the x-, y- and z-axis.^[1]

Step 3: Upgrade to the Advanced Collector

Once the basic one is working, craft the Advanced Collector. It does the same job, but its items can be filtered, and the project page lists a range of up to 7 blocks. Right-click it to open its GUI, just like the basic one. The project page says items can be whitelisted or blacklisted, which is handy when you only want certain drops in a chest.^[1][3][4]

Unverified The range figures of 5 and 7 blocks come from the mod's project page. The sources don't show whether this pack changes them, so check the GUI in your own world.

Item Collectors is a small mod with a simple job: it picks up loose items in an area around itself, so you don't have to chase drops. There are two blocks, the Basic Collector and the Advanced Collector.^[1][3][4]

Basic vs. Advanced Collector

• The Basic Collector picks up items in an area around itself, with a range of up to 5 blocks.^[1][3][4]
• The Advanced Collector does the same with a range of up to 7 blocks, and it can also filter items.^[1][3][4]

Filtering means items can be whitelisted or blacklisted. That lets you pull in only the drops you want, or ignore the ones you don't. The project page lists filtering only under the Advanced Collector, so don't expect it on the Basic one.^[1][3]

Placing a collector

Where the collected items end up depends on where you put the collector. Collected items go into the block directly below it, so set up your storage first and place the collector on top.^[1]

1. Place the block you want the items to go into.^[1]
2. Place the collector on top of that block.^[1]

Setting the range

Right-click a collector to open its GUI. There you can change the range separately for the x-, y-, and z-axis using the arrow buttons. You can shrink the area so the collector doesn't grab items you'd rather leave on the ground.^[1]

Unverified The sources here include no config files for this mod in the pack, so it is unconfirmed whether the pack changes the range limits. The ranges above are the mod's own stated values.

Item Collectors in this pack comes in a basic and an advanced version: the Basic Collector and the Advanced Collector. The path between them is short, and both are made with shaped crafting recipes.^[4]

Basic Collector

The basic collector is your entry point. Nothing else from the mod is needed to make it, so you can craft it as soon as you have its ingredients. Here is the exact in-pack recipe:^[4]

Advanced Collector

The advanced collector is the upgrade. Its recipe uses the basic collector as an ingredient, so you build the basic version first and then craft it into the advanced one. Here is the in-pack recipe:^[4]

There isn't much history to cover here. All the Mods 10 8.1 ships Item Collectors 1.1.10, using the NeoForge build for Minecraft 1.21 (itemcollectors-1.1.10-neoforge-mc1.21.jar).^[2]

The mod has been in the pack for a while: the mod list says it was first included in All the Mods 10 0.36 or earlier, so it's been there since the early releases.^[2]

The mod's own changelog for 1.1.10 has a single entry, the initial release of Item Collectors for Minecraft 1.21. It lists no other changes, so there's nothing else to flag for this version.^[5]
