What is Create: Aquatic Ambitions?
1 part
Create: Aquatic Ambitions is a Create addon that adds new machines, processes and production lines inspired by the ocean. The big idea is using a conduit to turn byproducts into useful resources and building blocks, and to make more materials renewable along the way.[1]
This pack includes version 2.0.4 for Minecraft 1.21.1. It has been in the pack since All the Mods 10 4.3 or earlier.[2]
What it adds
- Conduit Channeling: a new fan processing type that uses an active conduit as the catalyst.[1]
- Conduit Cage: a machine that grants or removes effects and also simplifies channeling setups.[1]
- Guardianless prismarine: channeling flint has a chance to give you prismarine shards.[1]
- Fully renewable copper, obtainable from prismarine.[1]
- Coral revival and farming: dead coral can be revived through channeling and then harvested with harvesters.[1]
- Sponge duping: channeling dry sponges gives you a chance at extras.[1]
- Easier nautilus shells: you can get them from limestone.[1]
- Craftable tridents, made with spiky shells and prismarine alloy rods.[1]
The conduit and the Conduit Cage both have Ponder scenes that explain their uses, and the mod has JEI integration for its recipes.[1]
How do you get started with Create: Aquatic Ambitions?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Create: Aquatic Ambitions is a Create addon built around the conduit. Your first goal is to get Prismarine Alloy, then turn it into a Conduit Cage, which opens up the mod's conduit channeling processing.[1][3]
Step 1: Prismarine Alloy
Prismarine Alloy is the material you need for the Conduit Cage, so it comes first. You can make it by hand in the crafting grid or in a Create mixer. The pack changed both recipes, so follow the blocks below and don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults.[3]

Step 2: Rod and storage block
Next, make a Prismarine Alloy Rod. The Conduit Cage recipe uses one, and the mod's project page also lists the rod as part of its craftable tridents. If you want compact storage, you can pack alloy into a Prismarine Alloy Block and unpack it again.[1][3]

Step 3: The Conduit Cage
The Conduit Cage is the machine at the heart of the mod. Its Ponder describes it as a more compact version of the conduit's prismarine ring.[1][4]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: create_aquatic_ambitions:crafting/materials/mechanical_conduit
To use it, pump a fluid into the cage through its bottom face, which awakens it. A cage awakened with water gives the Conduit Power effect to nearby entities, and different fluids give different effects. The mode slot lets you choose which entities are affected.[4]
The cage also works for fan processing. Air passing through it creates a Channeling setup, and items caught in that stream are processed.[4]
Step 4: Get shells from limestone
Once you have a channeling setup, you can get Nautilus Shells without hunting for them. Milling Create's limestone gives Calcium Rich Powder and Suspicious Rock. Channeling the Suspicious Rock then gives a Spiky Shell and a nautilus shell.[1][3]

How does Create: Aquatic Ambitions work?
5 parts
This mod adds a new kind of fan processing that runs on an active conduit, plus a machine called the Conduit Cage. Both have Ponder scenes in game, so you can watch the setups animated.[1]
The Conduit Cage
The Conduit Cage is a more compact stand-in for the prismarine ring you normally build around a conduit. Instead of building the ring, you feed the cage with fluid.[4]
Pump fluid into the cage through its bottom face. As soon as a fluid goes in, the cage wakes up. The cage's fuel tag lists water.[4][5]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: create_aquatic_ambitions:crafting/materials/mechanical_conduit
The cage is a normal shaped crafting recipe, not a Create machine recipe.
Effects from the cage
An awakened cage affects entities nearby. A cage awakened with water gives the Conduit Power effect, and other fluids give other effects. The mode slot lets you choose which entities are affected.[4]
The mod maps fluids to effects with tags. In this pack's data, milk clears effects, Create's tea gives haste, honey and chocolate give saturation, and lava sets entities on fire. Many other effect tags exist, for example fire resistance, night vision and water breathing, but they have no fluids in them here.[7][8][9][10][11][12][13]
Conduit channeling with fans
Awakened conduits can be used for fan processing. Air passing through the conduit's waters creates a Channeling setup, and items caught in that stream get processed.[4]
Watch the water depth. Extra layers of water dilute the conduit's power, which gives you a Washing setup instead of Channeling.[4]
The Conduit Cage does the same job in less space. Air passing through an awakened cage creates a Channeling setup, and the items in the stream are processed. The mod's own description says the cage simplifies channeling setups.[1][4]
The material chain
The pack changed both the crafting recipe and the mixing recipe for Prismarine Alloy. Go by the recipe cards here rather than the mod's defaults.[6]

The alloy is the base for the rest of the mod's materials. You can craft it into a Prismarine Alloy Rod or compress it into a Prismarine Alloy Block, and a block turns back into alloy.[6]

From limestone to spiky shells
Milling Create's limestone gives you Calcium Rich Powder and a Suspicious Rock.[6]

How do you progress through Create: Aquatic Ambitions?
3 parts
This mod has a short, clear chain that runs from a Create stone up to the Conduit Cage. Here is the order to work through it, using the recipes this pack actually ships.[6]
First: shells and rocks
It all starts with Create's Limestone. Milling it gives you Calcium Rich Powder and Suspicious Rock.[6]
Milling (create)
Recipe id: create:milling/limestone
The Suspicious Rock then goes through the mod's channeling recipe, which gives you a Spiky Shell and a nautilus shell.[6]

Next: Prismarine Alloy
Prismarine Alloy is the core material of the mod. The pack has changed both of its recipes, so don't rely on mod defaults you may remember. You can make it by hand or in a mixer.[6]

Finally: the Conduit Cage
The Conduit Cage is the end of this chain. Its recipe builds on the alloy and rod from the previous stage, so finish those first.[6]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: create_aquatic_ambitions:crafting/materials/mechanical_conduit
The mod's fuel tag for the Conduit Cage lists water.[5]
The mod also has conduit effect tags for fluids. Tea is listed for haste, honey and chocolate for saturation, milk for clearing effects, and lava for setting things on fire.[7][8][9][10]
How does Create: Aquatic Ambitions work with other mods?
3 parts
Create: Aquatic Ambitions is a Create addon, so most of its links to other mods run through Create machines and Create fluids. Here is what the recipes and data files in this pack show.[1][6]
Crafting the Conduit Cage
The Conduit Cage is a mixed recipe. Besides the mod's own Prismarine Alloy and Prismarine Alloy Rod, it also needs one item from Create and one from vanilla Minecraft.[6]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: create_aquatic_ambitions:crafting/materials/mechanical_conduit
Create processing recipes
Some of the mod's materials come from Create's own machines. A vanilla nautilus shell goes through Create crushing and gives you a Nugget of Experience, a Spiky Shell and Bone Meal.[6]
Crushing (create)
Recipe id: create_aquatic_ambitions:crushing/nautilus_shards
Create's Limestone can be milled into Calcium Rich Powder and a Suspicious Rock.[6]

Recipe id: create:milling/limestone
Fluids and the conduit
The mod uses fluid tags to decide what the Conduit Cage does with the fluids it is given. Some of these are Create fluids and some are vanilla ones. In the mod's own data files:[5][7][8][9][10]
- Water is the only fluid in the Conduit Cage fuel tag.[5]
- Create's tea is tagged as giving haste.[8]
- Create's honey and chocolate are tagged as giving saturation.[9]
- Milk is tagged as clearing effects.[7]
- Lava is tagged as setting things on fire.[10]
The fire resistance, regeneration and strength tags are empty in these files, so no fluids from other mods are assigned to them there.[11][14][15]
What changed in Create: Aquatic Ambitions between versions?
2 parts
Create: Aquatic Ambitions joined the pack in All the Mods 10 4.3 as version 2.0.0-b, and All the Mods 10 8.2 ships version 2.0.4. Here is how it got from one to the other.[2][16]
Pack releases
- All the Mods 10 4.3: Create Aquatic Ambitions 2.0.0-b was added.[16]
- All the Mods 10 4.6: updated from 2.0.0-b to 1.21.1-2.0.1.[17]
- All the Mods 10 4.15: updated from 1.21.1-2.0.1 to 2.0.2.[18]
- All the Mods 10 7.2: updated from 2.0.2 to 2.0.4.[19]
What changed in the mod
Version 2.0.0-b is the big 2.0 release the pack launched with. It added the Conduit Cage, a block for more compact channeling setups that can also induce or cleanse effects in nearby players and mobs. It also added Calcium Rich Powder, Suspicious rocks and Spiky Shells, Ponder scenes for the Conduit and Conduit Cage, and recipes for renewable Nautilus Shells, Calcite and Sponge duping. This version requires Create 6.0.6 or above.[20]
The same release rebalanced a few things. Flint Shard was removed and Prismarine shard odds were increased via Flint Channeling. Polished Quartz Tine was removed, and trident crafting now uses Spiky Shells. Coral and fans can also be obtained without silk touch now (dead ones need a pickaxe), which makes them farmable with harvesters.[20]
Version 1.21.1-2.0.1 gave the Conduit Cage compatibility for Lava (burns nearby entities), honey and chocolate (gives saturation). It added a config, reachable through Create's config screen, to change the Conduit Cage effect radius and fluid conversion rates. Coral farming moved into a datapack that can be disabled on world creation. Fixes covered Conduit Cage potion levels, render consistency on block placement (to avoid crashes), and a few recipes for Upgrade Aquatica compatibility.[21]
Version 2.0.2 updated the mod to Create 6.0.8, added more oxidized copper recipes and added KubeJS support.[22]
Version 2.0.4, the one in All the Mods 10 8.2, fixes the mod refusing to load alongside older versions of JEI. The version floor is now lowered to match Create's, and JEI stays fully optional. It also added a Ukrainian translation and updated the Simplified Chinese one.[2][23]
