Create: Aquatic Ambitions is a mod in All the Mods 10 8.3, where it is version 2.0.4. Introduces new bulk process which allows for more options for Prismarine, Coral and Copper automation! (Summary from the mod's Modrinth page.)

What is Create: Aquatic Ambitions?

3 parts

Create: Aquatic Ambitions is an addon for Create built around the ocean. It adds new machines, processes and production lines, and it uses the power of the conduit to turn byproducts into useful resources and building blocks. The pack ships version 2.0.4.[1][2]

What it adds

  • Conduit Channeling: a new fan processing type that uses an active conduit as the catalyst.[1]
  • The Conduit Cage: a machine for granting or removing effects, which also simplifies channeling setups.[1]
  • Guardianless prismarine: channeling Flint has a chance to give you prismarine shards.[1]
  • Renewable copper, obtainable from prismarine.[1]
  • Coral revival and farming: dead coral can be revived by channeling and then harvested with harvesters.[1]
  • Sponge duping (channeling dry sponges for a chance at extras), nautilus shells from limestone, and craftable tridents.[1]

The Conduit and the Conduit Cage both have Ponder scenes that explain their uses, so use those in game if you want a visual walkthrough.[1]

How the Conduit Cage works

The pack's quest book says the Conduit Cage does not need to be underwater or surrounded by certain blocks. It only needs water piped into it. Pipe water into the bottom and it starts giving Conduit Power to nearby mobs and players. You can toggle the sides to choose who or what receives it. If you pipe in fluid potions instead of water, it gives that potion effect to whatever is nearby.[3]

Where it sits in the quest book

The quest "Create Aquatic Ambitions" quest lives in the "Create Addons" chapter, in the "Tech" group. This is chapter 31 of 67 in the book, and it holds 50 quests. The quest asks you for the Conduit Cage. The sources show no prerequisite for it, so it is one of the entry quests of the chapter, listed next to the quests for Create Crafts and Additions, Create: Dragon's Plus and Create Enchantment Industry.[3]

The quest that comes after it is "Channeling through a Fan" quest, which asks for an Encased Fan. It explains that blowing a fan through a powered Conduit Cage does Bulk Channeling on the items in it. That can revive dead coral, oxidize copper, and give easier recipes for ocean items like Hearts of the Sea and prismarine.[3]

Unverified The quest sources here do not show this mod on the ATM Star quest path. If you are following that path, check the quest book to see how it fits your route.

How do you get started with Create: Aquatic Ambitions?

4 parts

Create: Aquatic Ambitions is a Create addon built around the ocean: a new fan processing type that uses an active conduit, plus the Conduit Cage machine. In this pack's quest book it sits in the "Create Addons" chapter (Tech group), and its quest asks you for the Conduit Cage. That is the goal of this section too.[1][3]

Step 1: Make Prismarine Alloy

Everything starts with Prismarine Alloy. The pack changed both of its recipes, the crafting one and the Create mixing one, so follow these in-pack versions and not what you remember from the mod's defaults.[4]

Step 2: Rod and Conduit Cage

Next, turn some alloy into a Prismarine Alloy Rod. You need one for the cage, and the mod's page also lists the rod as part of crafting tridents together with Spiky Shells.[1][4]

This is the item the "Create Aquatic Ambitions" quest quest asks for.

Step 3: Wake the cage up

  1. Place the Conduit Cage. It does not need to be underwater or surrounded by special blocks.[3]
  2. Pipe water into its bottom face. Pumping a fluid in awakens the cage, and with water it gives Conduit Power to mobs and players nearby.[3][5]
  3. Use the toggle on its sides to choose who or what gets the effect.[3][5]
  4. Want something else? Pipe in a fluid potion instead of water and the cage gives that potion effect to whatever is nearby.[3]
Tip: The cage also has built-in Ponder scenes (Awakening Conduit Cages, Providing effects via Conduit Cages, and Processing Items with the Conduit Cage), so hold the ponder key over it in game if you get stuck.[1][5]

Step 4: Channeling and nautilus shells

Once the cage is powered, blow an Encased Fan through it to do Bulk Channeling. That is the follow-up quest "Channeling through a Fan" quest, and it can revive dead coral and oxidize copper, among other things.[3]

Nautilus shells are reachable this way too. Milling limestone gives you 2 Calcium Rich Powder and a Suspicious Rock. Channeling that rock gives a Spiky Shell and a nautilus shell.[4]

How does Create: Aquatic Ambitions work?

5 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.2 guide

This mod adds a new kind of fan processing that runs on an active conduit, plus a machine called the Conduit Cage. Both have Ponder scenes in game, so you can watch the setups animated.[1]

The Conduit Cage

The Conduit Cage is a more compact stand-in for the prismarine ring you normally build around a conduit. Instead of building the ring, you feed the cage with fluid.[5]

Pump fluid into the cage through its bottom face. As soon as a fluid goes in, the cage wakes up. The cage's fuel tag lists water.[5][6]

The cage is a normal shaped crafting recipe, not a Create machine recipe.

Effects from the cage

An awakened cage affects entities nearby. A cage awakened with water gives the Conduit Power effect, and other fluids give other effects. The mode slot lets you choose which entities are affected.[5]

The mod maps fluids to effects with tags. In this pack's data, milk clears effects, Create's tea gives haste, honey and chocolate give saturation, and lava sets entities on fire. Many other effect tags exist, for example fire resistance, night vision and water breathing, but they have no fluids in them here.[8][9][10][11][12][13][14]

Conduit channeling with fans

Awakened conduits can be used for fan processing. Air passing through the conduit's waters creates a Channeling setup, and items caught in that stream get processed.[5]

Watch the water depth. Extra layers of water dilute the conduit's power, which gives you a Washing setup instead of Channeling.[5]

The Conduit Cage does the same job in less space. Air passing through an awakened cage creates a Channeling setup, and the items in the stream are processed. The mod's own description says the cage simplifies channeling setups.[1][5]

Tip: The Ponder scenes for the Conduit and the Conduit Cage cover how to awaken them, what effects they give and how to set up fan processing. Open them in game for the exact layout.[1][5]

The material chain

The pack changed both the crafting recipe and the mixing recipe for Prismarine Alloy. Go by the recipe cards here rather than the mod's defaults.[7]

How do you progress through Create: Aquatic Ambitions?

5 parts

Create: Aquatic Ambitions is a small addon, so there is no long tier ladder here. The pack's quest book puts it in the "Create Addons" chapter (group "Tech", chapter 31 of 67), a chapter with 50 quests that also covers other Create addons. The mod's own part is two quests: "Create Aquatic Ambitions" quest for the Conduit Cage, then "Channeling through a Fan" quest for Channeling through a Fan, which unlocks after it.[3]

Step 1: Prismarine Alloy

Everything starts with Prismarine Alloy. The pack has changed its recipe, and you can make it two ways: a crafting recipe or a Create mixing recipe. Both are shown below exactly as they work in this pack.[4]

Step 3: The Conduit Cage

The Conduit Cage is the goal item of the first quest, and the quest book says it is cheaper and simpler than a vanilla Conduit. It does not need to be underwater or surrounded by certain blocks. You only need to pipe Water into the bottom of it, and it then gives Conduit Power to nearby mobs and players. The toggles on its sides let you choose who or what receives it.[3][6]

The quest also says that piping in Fluid Potions instead of Water gives that potion effect to whatever is nearby. The mod's fluid tags also list some other fluids: Milk clears effects, Create's Tea gives Haste, Honey and Chocolate give Saturation, and Lava sets things on fire.[3][8][9][10][11]

Step 4: Bulk Channeling

Once the Cage is powered, blow an Encased Fan through it to do Bulk Channeling on items. The quest says this can revive Dead Coral, oxidize Copper and make easier recipes for ocean items like Hearts of the Sea and Prismarine.[3]

The pack also has a channeling recipe for the mod's own items: Suspicious Rock becomes a Spiky Shell and a Nautilus Shell.[4]

How does Create: Aquatic Ambitions work with other mods?

4 parts

Create: Aquatic Ambitions is a Create addon, so most of its links to other mods run through Create machines and Create items. In this pack, the in-pack recipes and quests tie it to Create, to vanilla Minecraft items and to the Create Enchantment Industry quests.[1][3][4]

Create parts in the Conduit Cage

The Conduit Cage mixes Create parts, a vanilla conduit and this mod's own alloy items in one shaped crafting recipe. It is the clearest place where the three meet, and it uses a Fluid Pipe as one of its pieces.[4]

The pack's quest book covers this in the "Create Addons" chapter, in the "Tech" group. The Conduit Cage quest "Create Aquatic Ambitions" quest says the cage does not need to be underwater. It only needs Water piped into it. Piping into the bottom starts it, and it gives Conduit Power to nearby mobs and players. You can toggle the sides of the cage to choose who gets the effect.[3]

The quest also says that piping in Fluid Potions instead of Water gives that potion effect to whatever is nearby. The mod's own data tags list Water as the conduit fuel.[3][6]

Create fluids as conduit effects

The mod's data tags also tie some Create and vanilla fluids to effects on the cage. Create's tea gives haste, and Create's honey and chocolate give saturation. Milk clears effects, and lava sets things on fire. Many other effect tags in the mod's data are empty, so these are the fluids the mod itself lists.[8][9][10][11]

Processing with Create machines

Two of the mod's materials come from Create processing recipes that start with other items. Crushing a Nautilus Shell gives 5 Nugget of Experience, a Spiky Shell and 5 Bone Meal.[4]

Experience nuggets and Create Enchantment Industry

The Nuggets of Experience from the nautilus crushing recipe are the same item the quest book covers in its Create Enchantment Industry quest "Create Enchantment Industry" quest. That quest says nuggets are necessary for a lot of crafts with Create Enchantment Industry. It also says you can right click them to use them up and gain the experience.[3][4]

Unverified The "Create Addons" chapter has 50 quests, and the text of 33 of them is not shown in the sources here. If other quests in that chapter link this mod to more mods, that is told in the quest book itself.

Which All the Mods 10 quests use Create: Aquatic Ambitions?

2 parts

Create: Aquatic Ambitions has two quests in this pack, both in the "Create Addons" chapter. That chapter sits in the Tech group (chapter 31 of 67 in the book) and holds 50 quests shared with several other Create addons.[3]

Step 1: Create Aquatic Ambitions

The first quest, "Create Aquatic Ambitions" quest, asks you to obtain the Conduit Cage. The book lists no quest before it, so you can pick it up whenever you like.[3]

The quest text explains that the Conduit Cage doesn't need to be underwater or surrounded by certain blocks. It just needs water piped into it.[3]

  • Pipe water into the bottom and it starts up, giving Conduit Power to all mobs and players nearby.[3]
  • You can toggle the sides of the Conduit Cage to set who or what receives the effect.[3]
  • Pipe in Fluid Potions instead of water and it gives that potion effect to whatever is nearby.[3]

Step 2: Channeling through a Fan

"Channeling through a Fan" quest comes right after the first quest. It asks for an Encased Fan, which is a Create item.[3]

When you blow an Encased Fan through a powered Conduit Cage, it does what the quest calls Bulk Channeling. Like other bulk processing, it affects items passing through it. According to the quest text, this can revive Dead Coral and oxidize Copper. It also makes easier recipes for certain ocean-related items, such as Hearts of the Sea and Prismarine.[3]

Tip: Do the Conduit Cage quest first. The fan quest only works once you have a powered Conduit Cage to blow through.[3]

What changed in Create: Aquatic Ambitions between versions?

2 parts

All the Mods 10 8.3 ships Create: Aquatic Ambitions 2.0.4. The mod has been in the pack since All the Mods 10 4.3 or earlier, so here is how it got from there to here.[2]

Pack releases

  • All the Mods 10 4.3: Create Aquatic Ambitions 2.0.0-b was added.[15]
  • All the Mods 10 4.6: updated from 2.0.0-b to 1.21.1-2.0.1.[16]
  • All the Mods 10 4.15: updated from 1.21.1-2.0.1 to 2.0.2.[17]
  • All the Mods 10 7.2: updated from 2.0.2 to 2.0.4, which is still the version in 8.3.[2][18]

What the mod changed along the way

The 2.0.0-b release was the big 2.0 update. It added the Conduit Cage, a block for more compact channeling setups that can also induce or cleanse effects in nearby players and mobs. It also added Calcium Rich Powder, Suspicious rocks and Spiky Shells, Ponder scenes for the Conduit and Conduit Cage, and recipes for renewable Nautilus Shells, Calcite and sponge duping. This version requires Create 6.0.6 or above.[19]

The same release rebalanced a few things. Flint Shard was removed and Prismarine shard odds from Flint Channeling were increased. Polished Quartz Tine was removed, and trident crafting now uses Spiky Shells. Coral and fans can be obtained without silk touch (dead ones need a pickaxe), which makes them farmable with harvesters.[19]

Version 1.21.1-2.0.1 gave the Conduit Cage compatibility with lava (burns nearby entities), honey and chocolate (both give saturation). It added a config, reachable through Create's config screen, to change the Conduit Cage effect radius and fluid conversion rates. Coral farming moved into a datapack that can be disabled on world creation.[20]

That release also fixed the Conduit Cage so it properly reads potion levels, and improved its render consistency to avoid crashes on block placement. A few recipes were fixed for Upgrade Aquatica compatibility, and the Russian, Portuguese (Brazilian) and Chinese translations were updated.[20]

Version 2.0.2 updated the mod to Create 6.0.8, added more oxidized copper recipes and added KubeJS support.[21]

Version 2.0.4 fixed the mod refusing to load alongside older versions of JEI. The version floor is now lowered to match Create's, and JEI stays fully optional. It also added a Ukrainian translation and updated the Simplified Chinese one.[22]
