Chisel Reborn adds a lot of decorative blocks that are variations of vanilla blocks. If you've ever stared at a wall of plain stone and wished it had more texture and detail, this mod is for you.^[1]

In this pack

All the Mods 10 4.5 includes Chisel Reborn version 2.0.0+mc1.21.1. It's been in the pack since version 2.25 or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the modpack.^[2]

In the questbook, it appears in the building tips chapter. Quest a quest in "?" asks you to get a Chisel, and it unlocks after an earlier quest in that chapter. That places it on the building side of the pack, so you can grab it whenever you're ready to make your builds look better.^[3]

Step 2: Tick off the quest

Once the Chisel is in your inventory, you can complete a quest in "?" in the building tips chapter. Its only task is to obtain the Chisel, so crafting it is all you need to do. The quest has a prerequisite quest, so it may stay locked until you've finished the one before it.^[3]

Step 3: Look at the block variants

With the Chisel done, have a look at the decorative blocks the mod adds. For example, it includes Reinforced Cobble Stone and Reinforced Cobble Dirt.^[1][5]

Unverified The sources don't confirm how the Chisel's interface works in this version, such as which slots you use or whether you can convert whole stacks at once. They also don't show which vanilla blocks can be chiseled or how to get the reinforced cobble blocks. Experiment in-game or check your recipe viewer for the details. The mod's language file lists Reinforced Cobble Dirt and Reinforced Cobble Stone as both blocks and items. These are examples of the variant blocks the mod adds.^[5]

Unverified How the chisel's GUI works and which variants each block can be turned into are not shown in the sources here. The project page only has a GUI heading with no explanation under it, no in-jar guidebook was available for this mod, and the pack has no config files for it.

Progression with Chisel in this pack is short and simple. Everything starts with the Chisel itself, and it's the only Chisel Reborn item with a crafting recipe in this pack's recipe list. There's no ladder of chisel upgrades to work through here.^[4]

The version history for Chisel Reborn in All the Mods 10 is short, but it includes one real jump.^[2][7]

Chisel Reborn was first included in All the Mods 10 2.2 or earlier, so it has been in the pack since the early releases.^[2]

In All the Mods 10 2.39, the pack updated Chisel Reborn from 1.8.2 to 2.0.0+mc1.21.1.^[7]

All the Mods 10 4.5, the version this guide covers, includes Chisel Reborn 2.0.0+mc1.21.1 (the file chisel-neoforge-2.0.0+mc1.21.1.jar). That is the same version the 2.39 update brought in.^[2][7]
