What is Bibliowoods Legacy?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Bibliowoods Legacy is an addon for Bibliocraft Legacy that adds support for modded wood types. If you like decorating with Bibliocraft furniture and storage, this mod lets you build it from the woods that other mods add, so your builds can match the look of the rest of your world.[1]

It is a spiritual successor to the Bibliowoods series of mods. It is released under the MIT License and runs on NeoForge for 1.21.1 and upwards.[1]

Which mods it supports

The project page lists a long set of supported mods. Some of the better-known ones are Aether, Ars Nouveau, Cobblemon, Deeper and Darker, Twilight Forest, Undergarden, Silent Gear, Occultism, Hexerei, Vampirism and Allthemodium. The full list on the project page is much longer, so check it if you want to know whether a specific wood is covered.[1]

Support for Biomes O' Plenty, Oh The Biomes We've Gone and Regions Unexplored used to be part of this mod up to version 1.21.1-1.5.0. It has since moved to a separate addon, Bibliobiomes Legacy, because file sizes kept growing.[1]

In this pack

The pack ships Bibliowoods Legacy 1.6.2, and it has been included since version 2.25 or earlier.[2]

This is a decoration and building mod, so it is for you if you care about how your base looks rather than about progression. It adds no machines or tech of its own to unlock.[1]

Unverified We found no quests in this pack that involve the mod, and it is not on the ATM Star path. Which of the supported mods' woods are actually available in this pack has not been confirmed from the sources.

How do you get started with Bibliowoods Legacy?

2 parts

Good news: there's no big progression to work through here. Bibliowoods Legacy is an addon for Bibliocraft Legacy, and its whole job is to add support for modded wood types. So your first step is simply to get into Bibliocraft Legacy's furniture, then look for versions in the woods from the other mods you're playing with.[1]

What you'll actually find

The blocks come in named variants for each supported wood. You'll see names like Black Blackwood Display Case, Black Blackwood Seat and Black Blackwood Seat Back, and the same pattern repeats for woods such as Baobab, Cypress, Maple, Palm, Pine and Redwood. There are wall versions of the Display Case too, so you can mount your loot on a wall instead of the floor.[3]

Which mods' woods are covered

The project page lists a long set of supported mods. The ones you're most likely to run into early are Allthemodium, Ars Nouveau, Occultism, Twilight Forest, Undergarden, Deeper and Darker, Silent Gear, Integrated Dynamics and the Aether. If you've been chopping trees from one of those mods, that wood is a good candidate for matching furniture.[1]

Tip: Looking for Biomes O' Plenty, Oh The Biomes We've Gone or Regions Unexplored woods? The project page says support for those was part of this mod up until version 1.21.1-1.5.0. After that it moved to a separate addon called Bibliobiomes Legacy because the file sizes kept growing.[1]

Unverified The crafting recipes for these blocks in this pack couldn't be confirmed from the available sources. Look up the exact recipe for each wood variant in your in-game recipe viewer rather than assuming it matches the base Bibliocraft Legacy furniture. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

How does Bibliowoods Legacy work?

1 part

Bibliowoods Legacy works a bit differently from most tech mods: it's an addon for Bibliocraft Legacy that adds support for modded wood types. It's the spiritual successor to the older Bibliowoods mods, and its whole job is to bring modded wood types to Bibliocraft Legacy.[1]

Unverified No machines, multiblocks, power, fluid or item handling, or automation features could be confirmed for this mod, and there is no in-pack recipe to show here.

How the wood variants work

The mod makes Bibliocraft furniture pieces in wood types from other mods. Its English language file lists display cases, wall display cases, seats and seat backs. Each one is named after a colour and a wood, for example the Black Alpha Display Case, the Blue Eucalyptus Seat or the Black Blackwood Seat Back.[3]

The wood range is big. The mods with supported woods include Aether, Allthemodium, Ars Nouveau, Deeper and Darker, Integrated Dynamics, Occultism, Twilight Forest and Undergarden, along with many others.[1]

Watch out: Up until version 1.21.1-1.5.0, this mod handled Biomes O' Plenty, Oh The Biomes We've Gone and Regions Unexplored woods. That support has since moved to a separate addon, Bibliobiomes Legacy, because the file sizes kept growing. This mod's language file still has lots of Regions Unexplored entries, like the Blackwood, Baobab and Bioshroom pieces, so check in-game before you plan a build around them.[1][3]

Unverified It could not be confirmed whether the Regions Unexplored variants can actually be obtained in this pack's version. It also could not be confirmed how the display cases and seats behave in use, for example what they can hold or how you interact with them.

What changed in Bibliowoods Legacy between versions?

1 part

Bibliowoods Legacy has been part of All the Mods 10 for a long time: it was first included in version 2.2 or earlier, so it's been around for most of the pack's life.[4]

Pack releases

  • All the Mods 10 2.32: Bibliowoods Legacy was updated from 1.3.0 to 1.4.0.[5]
  • All the Mods 10 3.0: the pack ships Bibliowoods Legacy 1.4.0, the same version introduced in 2.32.[4][5]

If you're playing on All the Mods 10 3.0, you're running version 1.4.0 of the mod, found in the pack as bibliowoods-1.21.1-1.4.0.jar.[4]

Unverified What actually changed inside the mod between 1.3.0 and 1.4.0 (new features, fixes or balance changes) can't be confirmed here, because the mod's own changelogs for these versions aren't available.
