What is Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals?
2 parts
Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals is an addon for Applied Energistics 2 that adds wireless versions of several terminals. It also adds the Wireless Universal Terminal, which combines all of its wireless terminals into a single item. That means one item in your hand does the job of several, and it has one button to cycle between them.[1][2]
This mod is for you if your ME system is up and running and you're tired of walking back to base every time you need something. The wireless terminals can be opened with a keybind, and they can go in a curio slot if a mod that implements the curio API is installed.[3]
Why it's worth grabbing
- The Wireless Crafting Terminal can automatically restock the stack you're using from your ME system, so blocks, food and arrows keep topping themselves up while you work.[4][5]
- Pick Block pulls items straight from your network if they aren't already in your inventory.[5]
- With a Magnet Card installed, the terminal picks up items from a larger range and can send what it collects straight into your ME system instead of your inventory.[5][6]
- The Quantum Bridge Card links your terminal to a Quantum Bridge. Your terminal can then reach your network from anywhere, even across dimensions, and it recharges from your network's energy. This only works while the chunks containing your network are loaded.[7]
Where it fits in the pack
The mod appears in the pack's Applied Energistics 2 quest chapter, where quest a quest in "?" asks you to get a Quantum Bridge Card. That makes it a natural upgrade once your AE2 network is established.[8]
A quest in a separate chapter, a quest in "?", asks for the Wireless Universal Terminal. You'll want to build one eventually either way.[9]
How do you get started with Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals?
5 parts
This mod adds wireless versions of several Applied Energistics 2 terminals, plus upgrade cards that make them much more useful. Here's a sensible order to work through them in this pack, starting with the terminal you'll use most.[1][3]
Step 1: Get a Wireless Crafting Terminal
The Wireless Crafting Terminal is the backbone of everything here. With this mod installed it gains two features. The first is automatic restocking from your ME network. The second is an improved Pick Block: if the item isn't in your inventory, Pick Block pulls it from the network. Like AE2's own wireless terminal, you can open it with a keybind, and you can put it in a curio slot if a mod using the curio API is installed.[3][5]
Restock is worth turning on right away, either in the GUI or with its keybind. It keeps the stack you're using at half the stack size, which is 32 for most items. It pulls missing items from your ME system and sends extras back. It won't restock a stack that held a single item before you used it. It only works while you're in range of an access point, or when the terminal is quantum linked.[4]
Step 2: Go wireless with your patterns
Once you're automating, grab the Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal. This pack has two ways to make it. You can upgrade a Wireless Crafting Terminal you already own, or you can craft it from scratch.[10]

The Wireless Pattern Access Terminal is the wireless version of the pattern access terminal, so you can manage your patterns without walking back to the base.[3][10]

Step 3: Add a Magnet Card
The Magnet Card is an upgrade for the Wireless Crafting Terminal. It picks up items over a larger range, and it can send those items straight into your ME system instead of your inventory. You can toggle each feature separately, and each has its own filter that can run as a blacklist or a whitelist. There's also a keybind to switch it on or off. The pickup range is configurable, and the mod's default is 16.[5][6][11]

Unverified Whether this pack changes the Magnet Card pickup range from the mod's default is not confirmed.
Step 4: Unlimited range with the Quantum Bridge Card
The Quantum Bridge Card links your wireless terminal to a Quantum Bridge. Put the card and one singularity in your terminal, then put the other singularity in a Quantum Bridge connected to your network. Your terminal can then reach the network from anywhere, even across dimensions, and it recharges from the network automatically. This card is also a quest in the Applied Energistics 2 chapter: a quest in "?".[7][8][10]

Step 5: Combine everything into a Wireless Universal Terminal
The Wireless Universal Terminal combines all of this mod's wireless terminals into one item. A button in its UI cycles between them: left-click goes to the next terminal and right-click goes back. Each installed terminal adds 2 upgrade slots, and the terminals' energy storage adds up. AE2's own wireless terminal can't go inside it. You'll find it as a quest in the chapter_2_the_star chapter: a quest in "?".[2][3][9]
Unverified The recipe or method for combining terminals into the Wireless Universal Terminal in this pack isn't included in the available sources.
How does Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals work?
6 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals is an addon for Applied Energistics 2 that adds wireless versions of several ME terminals. It also adds a Wireless Universal Terminal that holds all of them in one item. Most of what makes the mod special comes from a few upgrade cards and some quality-of-life features built into the terminals, so let's go through them one by one.[1][12]
How the wireless terminals work
Every one of these terminals works like AE2's own wireless terminal. You can open it with a keybind, and if a mod implementing the Curios API is installed, you can put it in a curio slot. You link it to your network the same way you link a normal AE2 wireless terminal.[12]
The lineup includes a wireless Crafting Terminal, the Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal and the Wireless Pattern Access Terminal. They all support the Quantum Bridge Card, and they can all be combined into the Wireless Universal Terminal.[1][7][12]

Wireless Crafting Terminal extras
The Wireless Crafting Terminal gets extra functionality from this mod. It can restock items from your ME network automatically, and Pick Block can pull items from the network. With a Magnet Card installed, it also works as a magnet.[13]
Pick Block gets a nice boost. If the block you pick isn't in your inventory, the terminal pulls it from the network instead. If your current slot happens to be full, it tries to store those items back into the network.[13]
- The Quantum Bridge Card gives the terminal unlimited range, even across dimensions, and charges it automatically from the ME network.[13]
- The Magnet Card adds magnet functionality.[13]
Restocking
With Restock turned on, your terminal refills the stack you're using from your ME system and keeps it at max stack size, which is 64 for most items. If you pick up more than that, the extra goes back into the network. So if you place a few blocks and break them again, they won't spill into another slot, even without an active magnet. You can toggle Restock in the GUI or with a keybind.[14]
- It will not restock a stack that held a single item before you used it.[14]
- The item count in your hotbar changes to show how many of that item are in the network, plus the ones actually in your hotbar.[14]
- It only works while you're in range of an access point, or if your terminal is quantum linked.[14]
- In creative mode it's disabled automatically, since you aren't using up items anyway.[14]
- It works for most actions, like placing blocks, eating food and shooting a bow. Some actions, especially ones from other mods, might not be recognized, and those items won't be restocked.[14]
Magnet Card
The Magnet Card is an upgrade card for the Wireless Crafting Terminal, and it does two jobs. First, it picks up items from a larger range. Second, it sends the picked-up items into your ME system instead of your inventory. You can toggle each job separately, so you can run with the magnet off and still have items you pick up go to ME.[15][16]
Each job also has its own filter: a pickup filter and an insert filter. Either filter can be set to blacklist or whitelist mode. You control all of this in the terminal GUI, and there's also a keybind to turn the magnet on or off.[15]
The pickup range is configurable, and the mod's default is 16. No config files for this mod were available from the pack, so the range used in All the Mods 10 hasn't been confirmed.[15]

Quantum Bridge Card
The Quantum Bridge Card links your wireless terminal to an AE2 Quantum Bridge. That gives you unlimited range, even across dimensions, and your terminal recharges automatically with energy from your network.[7][16]
- Put a Quantum Bridge Card and one singularity into your wireless terminal.[7]
- Put the other singularity into a Quantum Bridge connected to your network.[7]
- Your terminal is now Quantum Linked and can reach your network from anywhere.[7]

Wireless Universal Terminal
The Wireless Universal Terminal combines several wireless terminals into one item, and every wireless terminal from this mod can go into it. Its UI has an extra button that switches between them: left-click it to cycle to the next terminal, or right-click to go back to the previous one.[2]
The Universal Terminal accepts the same upgrades as the terminals inside it, and each installed terminal adds 2 upgrade slots. Their energy storage adds up too, so a Universal Terminal with two terminals has twice the energy storage of a single wireless terminal.[2]
Unverified The in-game guide says that one of AE2's own wireless terminals can't be combined into the Universal Terminal, and that most wireless terminals from other addons do work with it. The exact items weren't captured in the sources, so check in-game which terminals your Universal Terminal accepts.
How do you progress through Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals?
4 parts
Progression here comes in three layers. First you build individual wireless terminals. Then you merge them into one Wireless Universal Terminal. Finally you slot in upgrade cards like the Magnet Card and the Quantum Bridge Card to get magnet pickup and unlimited range.[2][3]
Quests that cover this mod
The pack's questbook has two quests for this mod. Each one simply asks you to obtain a specific item.[8][9]
- a quest in "?" asks for a Wireless Universal Terminal and unlocks after one earlier quest.[9]
- a quest in "?" sits in the Applied Energistics 2 chapter. It asks for a Quantum Bridge Card and unlocks after two earlier quests.[8]
Tier 1: single wireless terminals
Your starting point is one of the individual wireless terminals. This mod adds wireless versions of the Pattern Encoding and Pattern Access terminals. It also improves the Wireless Crafting Terminal, which comes from Applied Energistics 2 itself.[3][5]
The Wireless Pattern Encoding Terminal has two recipes in this pack. You can build it fresh, or use a shapeless upgrade recipe that converts an existing terminal. Check both and pick whichever fits what you already have.[10]

Upgrade route
The Wireless Pattern Access Terminal gives you wireless access to your pattern providers. It uses the mod's standard recipe in this pack.[3][10]

With this mod installed, the Wireless Crafting Terminal gets two extras. Pick Block pulls items from your ME network when they aren't in your inventory. You also get automatic restocking, which tries to keep the stack you're using at half its stack size, so 32 for most items.[4][5]
Tier 2: the Wireless Universal Terminal
Once you have several terminals, you can combine them into a single Wireless Universal Terminal. All of this mod's wireless terminals can go in, and so can most wireless terminals from other addons. A button in the terminal UI cycles between the installed terminals: left-click goes forward, right-click goes back.[2][3]
Merging terminals has real benefits. Each installed terminal adds 2 upgrade slots, and the energy storage adds up. A universal terminal holding two terminals has twice the energy storage of a single wireless terminal.[2]
Unverified The recipe dump doesn't include a crafting recipe for the Wireless Universal Terminal, so the exact way to combine terminals in this pack isn't confirmed here. Check it in-game with your recipe viewer. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Tier 3: upgrade cards
The Magnet Card adds a magnet to your terminal. It picks up items in a larger range and can send them straight into your ME system instead of your inventory. Both features toggle separately, each has its own filter that can be set to blacklist or whitelist, and there's a keybind to switch the magnet on or off.[6]
The mod's guide says the pickup range is configurable, with a default of 16. The value this pack uses isn't shown in the sources.[6]

The Quantum Bridge Card is the endgame upgrade. Put the card and one singularity in your wireless terminal, then put the matching singularity in a Quantum Bridge connected to your network. Your terminal can then reach the network from anywhere, even across dimensions, and recharges automatically from your network's energy.[5][7]

How does Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals work with other mods?
4 parts
This mod is an addon for Applied Energistics 2, so almost everything it adds is crafted from AE2 parts and plugs straight into your ME network. In this pack, its items also link up with a couple of other AE2 addons through extra recipes and quests.[1][10]
Magnet Card
The Magnet Card adds a magnet to your wireless terminal. It can pull in items from a larger range and send what it picks up straight into your ME system. The pack changed its recipe, so check the in-pack version below rather than an older guide.[6][10]

Quantum Bridge Card
The Quantum Bridge Card is made from AE2's quantum components. It links your wireless terminal to an AE2 Quantum Bridge connected to your network. You can then reach your network from anywhere, even across dimensions, as long as the network's chunks are loaded. The terminal also recharges from your network's energy.[7][10]

Wireless Universal Terminal
The Wireless Universal Terminal combines several wireless terminals into one item. A button in the terminal screen cycles between them. Each terminal you add gives it 2 more upgrade slots, and their energy storage adds together.[2]

Which All the Mods 10 quests use Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals?
2 parts
This mod shows up in two quest chapters, and each one asks you to get a single item from it. Both quests are untitled, so look for them by the item they ask for.[8][9]
Applied Energistics 2 chapter
In the "applied_energistics_2" chapter, quest a quest in "?" asks you to obtain a Quantum Bridge Card. It unlocks once you finish its prerequisite quests, a quest in "?" and a quest in "?".[8]
chapter_2_the_star chapter
In the "chapter_2_the_star" chapter, quest a quest in "?" asks you to obtain a Wireless Universal Terminal. It unlocks after its prerequisite quest, a quest in "?".[9]
Unverified The quest files don't link these two quests to each other, so there's no confirmed order between them. Each one only needs its own prerequisites. The quest data also doesn't list any rewards for either quest.
Which Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals config options matter?
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Unverified This pack's config values for Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals aren't confirmed here. That includes range, power use and any settings the pack may have changed from the mod defaults. Check the mod's config file in your own All the Mods 10 8.1 install to see the exact values.
If you went looking for a range setting because your terminal keeps losing signal, you may not need a config tweak. This addon supports a Quantum Bridge Card, which lets your wireless terminals work from anywhere, even across dimensions.[1]
What changed in Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals between versions?
There isn't much history to dig through here, so this one's short! All the Mods 10 2.39 ships Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals version 19.2.1, as the file ae2wtlib-19.2.1.jar. It has been in the pack for a good while: it was first included in All the Mods 10 1.9 or earlier.[18]
Unverified There are no pack changelog entries for this mod and no stored changelog for the shipped jar. That means we can't confirm which versions of Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals earlier pack releases used, or what changed between them.
