What is All the Wizard Gear?

All the Wizard Gear adds mage-style armor and spell books in the three top metal tiers: Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium. It is for you if you cast spells with Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks and want endgame gear built around that. The pack ships version 1.2.0 of the mod.[1][2][3]

Mage armor

Each tier has a full set: hat, robes, leggings and boots, such as Allthemodium Mage Hat and Unobtainium Mage Boots. The pack's quests describe the Allthemodium set as having stats close to normal Allthemodium armor, but with more power for Iron's Spells spells, plus its own max mana and mana regen. The Vibranium and Unobtainium sets are described the same way, as their normal armor with buffs to Iron's Spells spells.[2][3]

Spell books

Each tier also has a spell book. The quests list 13 spell slots for the Allthemodium Spell Book, 14 for the Vibranium Spell Book and 15 for the Unobtainium Spell Book.[2]

Where it fits in the progression

The mage armor and spell book quests sit in the Allthemodium chapter, and each tier unlocks after you have that metal's ingot and smithing template. You can track the armor with "Allthemodium Mage Armor" quest, "Vibranium Mage Armor" quest and "Unobtainium Mage Armor" quest.[2]

The spell books form an upgrade chain in a Smithing Table. You start with an Ancient Codex, an Allthemodium ingot and its template. You get that template by brushing Suspicious Clay in an Ancient City. Next you combine the Allthemodium book with a Vibranium ingot and template, which comes from brushing Suspicious Soul Sand in a Bastion. The Unobtainium book repeats the pattern: previous book, ingot and template. The steps are in "Allthemodium Spell Book" quest, "Vibranium Spell Book" quest and "Unobtainium Spell Book" quest.[4]

Unverified The sources do not show this mod on the ATM Star quest path, so treat the gear as optional for that goal.

How do you get started with All the Wizard Gear?

Every recipe the pack lists for this mod is a Smithing Table recipe. The gear climbs three metal tiers in a fixed order: Allthemodium, then Vibranium, then Unobtainium. Each step needs the matching ingot and the matching Smithing Template, so those are the first things to line up.[2][5]

Your first steps, in order

  1. Get an Allthemodium Ingot and an Allthemodium Smithing Template. In the Allthemodium chapter of the quest book, the mage armor and spell book quests come right after those two.[2]
  2. Make the Allthemodium Spell Book first. The recipe starts from an Ancient Codex (the Iron's Spells netherite spell book) and adds the Allthemodium ingot and template at the Smithing Table.[4][5]
  3. Make the Allthemodium mage armor: Allthemodium Mage Hat, Allthemodium Mage Robes, Allthemodium Mage Leggings and Allthemodium Mage Boots.[5]
  4. Upgrade to Vibranium, then to Unobtainium, using the same Smithing Table method each time.[4][5]

Why the spell book comes first

The quest text says the Allthemodium Spell Book gives you 13 spell slots. The Vibranium version has 14 and the Unobtainium version has 15, so every tier is a step up in slots.[2]

The quest says you get the Allthemodium template by brushing Suspicious Clay in an Ancient City, so bring a brush. The quest is "Allthemodium Spell Book" quest in the Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks chapter, placed after the Ancient Codex.[4]

Climbing the tiers

The Vibranium Spell Book is made from the Allthemodium Spell Book plus a Vibranium Ingot and Template. The quest says you get that template by brushing Suspicious Soul Sand in a Bastion.[4][5]

The Unobtainium Spell Book works the same way: previous book, ingot and template. The armor follows the same chain, so each Vibranium piece is upgraded from the matching Allthemodium piece, and each Unobtainium piece from the matching Vibranium piece.[4][5]

Tip: Don't throw away your Allthemodium gear after crafting it. The Vibranium recipes start from the Allthemodium pieces, and the Unobtainium recipes start from the Vibranium pieces.[5]

How does All the Wizard Gear work?

All the Wizard Gear has no machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item automation that the sources show. What the sources do show is gear: mage armor sets (hat, robes, leggings and boots) and spell books in the Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium tiers. The only mechanic to learn is how the pieces are crafted.[5]

Smithing-table upgrades

Every piece in this mod is made with a smithing transform recipe, so you do the work at a smithing table. Each recipe also asks for an ingot of the matching metal, and an item from a tier-specific mod tag.[5]

The upgrade chain

The tiers build on each other in a loop of upgrades. The Allthemodium armor starts from a base wizard armor piece for its slot, accepted through a mod item tag. The Vibranium armor then uses the matching Allthemodium piece as its base, and the Unobtainium armor uses the matching Vibranium piece. Here is the Allthemodium helmet as the starting example:[5]

Tip: Because Vibranium and Unobtainium pieces are upgrades of the previous tier's item, you need the earlier tier's piece in hand before you can make the next one. Each step also needs an ingot of the new metal, which the recipes accept through a shared ingot tag.[5]

Unverified Armor values, durability, spell power or mana bonuses, and any set bonuses for these items could not be confirmed. The mod has no config files in the pack, and no guidebook or lang descriptions were available to the sources here.

How do you progress through All the Wizard Gear?

Wizard gear in this pack comes in three tiers, and each tier gives you a full set of mage armor plus a spell book. The tiers are Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium, in that order. Every piece is made at a smithing table, so you climb the ladder by upgrading what you already own.[2][3][5]

The upgrade ladder

  1. Allthemodium tier: this is the entry point. Armor is made from a base wizard piece, an Allthemodium template and an Allthemodium ingot. In the Allthemodium chapter, "Allthemodium Mage Armor" quest and "Allthemodium Spell Book" quest come after the Allthemodium Ingot and Allthemodium Smithing Template quests.[2][5]
  2. Vibranium tier: each Vibranium piece is an upgrade of the matching Allthemodium piece, using a Vibranium template and a Vibranium ingot. The quests are "Vibranium Mage Armor" quest and "Vibranium Spell Book" quest.[2][5]

Each tier has a hat, robes, leggings and boots, for example Allthemodium Mage Hat, Vibranium Mage Robes and Unobtainium Mage Boots. The quest book also tracks each tier as a full outfit in the Basic Armor chapter: "Allthemodium Mage Outfit" quest, "Vibranium Mage Outfit" quest and "Unobtainium Mage Outfit" quest.[3][5]

The quest for the first tier says its stats are close to normal Allthemodium armor. The difference is more power for Iron's Spells spells, plus its own max mana and mana regen. Spell books

The spell books follow the same ladder, and their slot counts rise with each tier. The quests list Allthemodium Spell Book at 13 spell slots, Vibranium Spell Book at 14 and Unobtainium Spell Book at 15.[2]

Chapter 2: Allthemodium

Here each tier gets an armor quest and a spell book quest. The armor quests are "Allthemodium Mage Armor" quest, "Vibranium Mage Armor" quest and "Unobtainium Mage Armor" quest, and any one piece of the matching set completes them. You don't need the full outfit here.[2]
