What is TrashSlot?
Same as in the All the Mods 10 6.6 guide
TrashSlot is part of this pack's mod list, version 21.1.8, built for NeoForge on Minecraft 1.21.1. It has been included since pack version 2.25 or earlier.[1]
Unverified The available sources don't describe what TrashSlot does, who it is for, or how it works in this pack. The name suggests a slot in your inventory for throwing away items, but that is unconfirmed. They also don't show whether it has any recipes, config changes or a place in the pack's progression.
How do you get started with TrashSlot?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mons 1.3.0 guide
TrashSlot is a quality-of-life mod for getting rid of items you don't want. The sources for this pack don't show any items to craft for it, so your first steps are about learning the controls rather than building anything.[2]
Find the keybinds
Open your controls menu and look for the TrashSlot category. That's where the mod's keybinds are listed.[2]
- Delete Item: trashes the item you are working with.[2]
- Delete All Items of Type: trashes every item of the same type in one go, so use it carefully.[2]
- Show/Hide TrashSlot: toggles the trash slot on the current screen.[2]
- Lock/Unlock TrashSlot: locks the trash slot so it stays as it is, and unlocks it again.[2]
Let the hints guide you
The mod has hints turned on by its own option. The first time the trash slot is toggled off, or can be enabled on a supported screen, you get a message telling you which key to press. For example, it tells you to press your key to enable the trash slot for that screen, or to re-enable it if you hid it.[2]
Locking works the same way. When you lock or unlock the trash slot, you get a message telling you which key to press to switch it back.[2]
Know what can't be trashed
If you try to trash something protected, you'll see the message "Item cannot be trashed!". The mod has a deny list for items that can't be deleted, written as a comma-separated list of "modid:name" entries.[2]
Unverified The default key for each TrashSlot keybind, which screens support the trash slot, and the values this pack uses for the deny list and instant deletion are not confirmed by the available sources. Check your controls menu in game.
How does TrashSlot work?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mons 1.3.0 guide
Nothing in the sources shows machines, multiblocks, power or fluid handling for TrashSlot, so there is no machine setup to learn here. What the mod's language file does confirm is a trash slot on supported screens, plus keybinds for getting rid of items. This section covers just that.[2]
Keybinds
TrashSlot adds its own keybind category, called TrashSlot, with the following keybinds.[2]
- Delete Item: deletes an item.[2]
- Delete All Items of Type: deletes all items of the same type.[2]
- Show/Hide TrashSlot: toggles whether the trash slot is visible.[2]
- Lock/Unlock TrashSlot: locks or unlocks the trash slot.[2]
In-game hints
The mod talks to you with short messages. If a supported screen can have the trash slot enabled, you get a prompt telling you which key enables it. If you toggle the slot off yourself, you get a message telling you which key brings it back. Locking and unlocking also show a message naming the key that does the opposite.[2]
The enableHints option controls this. According to its tooltip, TrashSlot shows a hint the first time the trash slot is toggled off or can be enabled on a supported screen, and setting it to false disables the hints.[2]
If you try to trash something that is protected, you see "Item cannot be trashed!".[2]
Options the mod offers
The language file includes tooltips for several configuration options, which tell us what each one does in the mod.[2]
- instantDeletion: makes the deletion slot delete items instantly, similar to Creative Mode.[2]
- deletionDenyList: a list of items that cannot be deleted, written as comma-separated "modid:name" entries.[2]
- allowDeletionWhileTrashSlotIsInvisible: lets the deletion keybinds work even when the trash slot is hidden. The tooltip says this is not recommended.[2]
- enableDeleteKeysInCreative: makes the delete keybinds work in creative as well. Items are deleted permanently in creative, regardless of the instantDeletion setting.[2]
- enableHints: controls the hint messages described above.[2]
Unverified The values this pack uses for TrashSlot's options, including which items are on the deny list, are set in the mod's configuration, and the sources here do not show them. Do not assume the mod's defaults apply.

Items and blocks
We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as trashslot, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
