What is Flux Networks?
1 part
Flux Networks is part of the pack's mod list. This pack ships version 8.0.0 of the mod, built for Minecraft 1.21.1.[1]
The pack's quest book covers it in the "basic_power" chapter. It walks you through the mod's items one step at a time, so you can follow the quests rather than hunting for recipes yourself.[2]
Where it shows up in the quests
The chapter starts with Flux Dust in quest a quest in "?". The next quest, a quest in "?", asks for both Flux Core and Flux Block. After that, a quest in "?" asks for the Flux Plug.[2]
Three more quests belong to the same chapter and unlock from a different earlier quest. They ask for the Flux Controller (a quest in "?"), the Flux Point (a quest in "?") and the Basic Flux Storage (a quest in "?").[2]
Unverified The sources I have don't include a description of the mod, a guidebook, or platform metadata for Flux Networks. I can't confirm what each item does in this pack, how the pack changes the mod's recipes or configs, or who the mod is best suited for. The mod is also not on the ATM Star quest path.
How do you get started with Flux Networks?
5 parts
Flux Networks is all about moving energy around wirelessly. The first steps go in a simple order: get some Flux Dust, make the core parts, then add the blocks that put energy into your network and take it out again. The pack's quest book has a basic_power chapter that follows this order, so you can tick things off as you go.[2][3]
Get Flux Dust
Everything starts with Flux Dust. It has its own quest in the basic_power chapter: a quest in "?". The item's tooltip says it is obtained by compressing Redstone Dust with Bedrock and Obsidian.[2][3]
The pack also changes a Productive Bees centrifuge recipe so that it outputs Flux Dust along with Wax.[4]
Make a Flux Core and a Flux Block
The next quest, a quest in "?", asks for both a Flux Core and a Flux Block. Make the core first, because the block, the plug, the point and the controller all use it.[2][4]
Put energy into your network
The Flux Plug receives energy passively from adjacent blocks and adds it to your Flux Network. Its quest comes right after the core and block quest: a quest in "?".[2][3]
Take energy back out
The Flux Point does the opposite job. It actively provides energy to adjacent blocks, removing it from your network. Its quest is a quest in "?".[2][3]
The pack has changed this recipe from the mod's version, so check the recipe below.[4]

How does Flux Networks work?
7 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
Flux Networks moves energy between your machines through named networks. You place devices next to your machines, connect each device to a network, and the network handles the rest. This section covers the devices, the storage tiers, how networks and access work, and what this pack changed.[3]
The four device types
- Flux Plug: receives energy from adjacent blocks passively and adds it to your Flux Network.[3]
- Flux Point: provides energy to adjacent blocks actively, taking it out of your Flux Network.[3]
- Flux storage blocks (Basic Flux Storage and the bigger tiers): store energy for your Flux Network.[3]
- Flux Controller: enables Wireless Charging on your Flux Network. The mod also reports that a network can already have a Flux Controller, so plan on one per network.[3]
Plugs, Points and Controllers share a default transfer limit of 800,000, set by energy.defaultLimit. This matches the mod default. The device screens also show per-device settings such as Priority, Transfer Limit, Bypass Limit and Power Surge.[3][5]
Storage tiers
There are three storage tiers. Each one holds more and moves energy faster than the last. The pack leaves all of these values at the mod defaults.[5]
- Basic Flux Storage: capacity 2,000,000 (energy.basicCapacity), default transfer limit 20,000 (energy.basicTransfer).[5]
- Herculean Flux Storage: capacity 16,000,000 (energy.herculeanCapacity), default transfer limit 120,000 (energy.herculeanTransfer).[5]
- Gargantuan Flux Storage: capacity 128,000,000 (energy.gargantuanCapacity), default transfer limit 720,000 (energy.gargantuanTransfer).[5]
Each tier is crafted from the one below it, with glass panes as the extra part.[6]

Networks and access
When you create a network you give it a name, a color, an energy type and a security mode: Public, Private or Encrypted. A password is part of the network setup.[3]
Players on a network have an access level: Owner, Admin, User or Stranger. Super Admin sits on top of those. You can set other members as Admin or User, and transfer ownership.[3]
Each player can own 5 networks, set by networks.maximumPerPlayer. Super admins can bypass that limit. Setting it to 0 means only super admins can create networks, and -1 removes the limit.[5]
Super Admin is turned on in this pack (networks.enableSuperAdmin). A player needs permission level 1 or higher to activate it (networks.superAdminRequiredPermission). Setting that to 0 lets anyone activate it, and single player bypasses the requirement. Players with permission level 3 or 4 can use commands to set others as Super Admin.[5]
Wireless charging
Wireless charging is enabled by the Flux Controller. The network screen has a Wireless Charging tab, and the game tells you whether wireless charging is effective or ineffective for the network you picked. The slot groups listed there are armor, Curios, hotbar, main hand, off hand and main inventory, with the main inventory labelled as disabled.[3]
You can stop specific items from being charged with blacklist.itemBlackListStrings. It is empty in this pack.[5]
Chunk loading and blacklists
The pack adds actuallyadditions:block_phantom_energyface to blacklist.blockBlacklistStrings. Flux devices will not connect to that block.[5]
Getting Flux Dust
Flux Dust is obtained by compressing Redstone Dust with Bedrock and Obsidian. This is enabled in the pack by general.enableFluxRecipe. The pack also has a changed Productive Bees centrifuge recipe that gives Flux Dust and Wax.[3][5][6]
How do you progress through Flux Networks?
5 parts
In this pack, Flux Networks progression follows the basic_power quest chapter. You start with Flux Dust (a quest in "?"), move on to the Flux Core and Flux Block (a quest in "?"), then the Flux Plug (a quest in "?"). The Flux Controller, Flux Point and Basic Flux Storage quests all branch from the same earlier quest in that chapter, and the sources here do not show what that quest asks for.[2]
Step 1: Flux Dust
The first quest asks you to obtain Flux Dust. The pack has a Productive Bees centrifuge recipe that outputs Flux Dust and Wax, and the pack has changed it from the mod's version.[2][4]
Centrifuge (productivebees)
Recipe id: productivebees:centrifuge/fluxnetworks/honeycomb_flux
This centrifuge recipe is changed by the pack.
Step 2: Flux Core and Flux Block
The next quest wants both a Flux Core and a Flux Block. The core matters a lot here, because it also shows up in the Flux Plug, Flux Controller and Flux Point recipes.[2][4]
Step 3: Plug, Point and Controller
- Flux Plug: its quest comes right after the core and block quest.[2]
- Flux Point: it has its own quest (a quest in "?"), and the pack has changed its recipe.[2][4]
- Flux Controller: it has its own quest (a quest in "?").[2]

Storage tiers
Basic Flux Storage is the only storage tier with a quest in the sources (a quest in "?"). It is the entry point for the storage line.[2][4]

The higher tiers are upgrades. Herculean Flux Storage is the step after Basic Flux Storage, and Gargantuan Flux Storage is the step after Herculean Flux Storage. Both use the mod's own storage upgrade recipe type.[4]

Flux Configurator
The Flux Configurator has a normal crafting recipe in the pack. None of the quests in the sources ask for it, so it is optional as far as the quest path goes.[2][4]
How does Flux Networks work with other mods?
1 part
The only confirmed link between Flux Networks and another mod in this pack runs through Productive Bees. The pack has a recipe for the Productive Bees centrifuge that outputs Flux Dust and Wax.[4]
Centrifuge (productivebees)
Recipe id: productivebees:centrifuge/fluxnetworks/honeycomb_flux
This centrifuge recipe is marked as changed by the pack. The recipe dump lists no item inputs for it.
Where it shows up in the quest book
The Flux Networks quests sit in the basic_power chapter, and the first of them asks you to hand in Flux Dust (a quest in "?"). That is one of the outputs of the centrifuge recipe above.[2][4]
From there the chapter continues with Flux Core and Flux Block (a quest in "?"), then Flux Plug (a quest in "?"). Further quests branch off a different earlier quest in the chapter: Flux Controller (a quest in "?"), Flux Point (a quest in "?") and Basic Flux Storage (a quest in "?").[2]
All of these quests ask for Flux Networks items only, so the quest book itself does not tie the mod to any other mod's items.[2]
Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use Flux Networks?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.5 guide
All of the Flux Networks quests in this pack live in the basic_power chapter. There are six of them, and each one asks you to get a single Flux Networks item, except one that asks for two. They form two small branches rather than one long line, so you'll bounce between them as you go.[7]
The main line: from dust to plugs
The first three quests form a clear chain, and each one unlocks the next. The first quest needs something from outside Flux Networks before it opens up.[7]
- a quest in "?" asks you to get Flux Dust. It unlocks once you finish an earlier quest that isn't part of Flux Networks.[7]
- a quest in "?" comes next and asks for two items: a Flux Core and a Flux Block.[7]
- a quest in "?" follows that one and asks you to get a Flux Plug.[7]
The network parts
Three more quests cover the rest of a basic network setup. None of them depends on the chain above. All three share the same prerequisite quest, so they all open up together once you finish it.[7]
- a quest in "?" asks for a Flux Controller.[7]
- a quest in "?" asks for a Flux Point.[7]
- a quest in "?" asks for a Basic Flux Storage.[7]
Unverified The quest data doesn't show which quest unlocks the controller, point and storage quests, or what the rewards for any of these quests are.
Which Flux Networks config options matter?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Flux Networks keeps its important settings in one server config file, so these values apply to everyone on a server. If you've played Flux Networks elsewhere, there's good news: every numeric setting here matches the mod default, so capacities, transfer limits and network caps work exactly as you'd expect.[8]
Energy storage and transfer
These settings control how much energy each Flux Storage tier holds and how fast devices move power by default. Here's what the pack uses:[8]
- energy.defaultLimit is 800,000. This is the default transfer limit of a Flux Plug, Point and Controller.[8]
- Basic Flux Storage holds 2,000,000 energy (energy.basicCapacity) and has a default transfer limit of 20,000 (energy.basicTransfer).[8]
- Herculean Flux Storage holds 16,000,000 energy (energy.herculeanCapacity) and has a default transfer limit of 120,000 (energy.herculeanTransfer).[8]
- Gargantuan Flux Storage holds 128,000,000 energy (energy.gargantuanCapacity) and has a default transfer limit of 720,000 (energy.gargantuanTransfer).[8]
Networks and Super Admin
Each player can own up to 5 networks (networks.maximumPerPlayer). A Super Admin can go past this limit.[8]
Super Admin is enabled in this pack (networks.enableSuperAdmin). Without it, nobody could access a flux device or delete a network without permission. With it, server staff have a way to deal with other players' networks.[8]
To turn on Super Admin, you need a permission level of at least 1 (networks.superAdminRequiredPermission). Permission levels come from ops.json. In single player you can skip this requirement. Players with permission level 3 or 4 can also use commands to make other people Super Admin, whatever those players' own permission level is.[8]
Chunk loading
Chunk loading is turned off in this pack (general.enableChunkLoading is false). Your flux devices can't keep their own chunks loaded. If you need a setup to keep running while you're away, you'll have to handle chunk loading some other way.[8]
Recipes and blacklists
general.enableFluxRecipe is true, so the mod's in-world method of making flux dust works in this pack.[8]
The block blacklist (blacklist.blockBlacklistStrings) lists blocks that flux devices won't connect to. In this pack it has only a single entry, so the blacklist won't get in your way when you hook up Flux Plugs and Points.[8]
The item blacklist for wireless charging (blacklist.itemBlackListStrings) is empty, so no specific items are excluded from wireless charging.[8]
