What is Create: Apokinetics?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mons 1.3.0 guide

Create: Apokinetics is where Apotheosis meets Create. You use the Apokinetic Wrench to open sockets on supported Create machines, then slot in Machine Gems to tune your factory. This pack includes version 1.0.6 of the mod.[1][2]

What the gems do

There are twelve Machine Gems, and each one boosts a different part of a factory. A gem's purity sets its starting strength, and you can charge gems with Rotation on the RPM-powered Apokinetic Table so their bonuses grow further.[1]

  • Velocity speeds up processing, Equilibrium lowers stress, Precision can preserve inputs, and Yielding adds outputs.[1]
  • Impact increases mechanical force, Extension adds reach and range, and Rupture improves breaking and contact damage.[1]
  • Ignition improves heat and fuel efficiency, Flowing improves fluid machinery, and Conveyance speeds up logistics.[1]
  • Frostwork unlocks cold-fan recipes. Momentum unlocks high-speed belt recipes and boosts kinetic sources.[1]

Pylon and diagnostic tools

The Kinetic Pylon turns nearby Apothic Enchanting stats into factory buffs. Eterna reduces network stress use, Arcana increases generated stress capacity, and Quanta temporarily boosts nearby player gem stats.[1]

For troubleshooting, the Factory Locator traces moving items. The Factory Scanner groups nearby kinetic networks and shows RPM, stress, machine states and likely problems.[1]

Who it is for

This mod is for you if you already build Create factories and want a deeper layer of upgrades from the Apotheosis side of the pack. It is also handy if you like tuning stress, speed and output rather than just building bigger.[1]

Almost everything is configurable in-game under Mods → Apokinetics or in config/apokinetics-common.toml. That covers sockets, gem bonuses per purity, the Pylon, Frostwork and Momentum, the factory tools, and the Table.[1]

Unverified The sources do not show any quests for this mod in this pack, and it is not on the ATM Star path. They also do not show whether the pack changed any of the mod's default config values, so check the config file in your own instance before relying on specific numbers.

How do you get started with Create: Apokinetics?

4 parts

Apokinetics lets you open sockets on supported Create machines and tune your factory with twelve different machine gems. Before any of that works, you need Apokinetic Shards. They are used by every machine gem and by the Wrench, Table, Locator, Scanner and Kinetic Pylon, so they come first.[1][3]

Step 1: Make an Apokinetic Shard

The pack changed the bootstrap crafting recipe for the Apokinetic Shard. Craft it by hand from this recipe to get started.[4]

The pack changed this shaped recipe, so follow this one rather than the mod default.

Watch out: The in-game Ponder text describes the mod's own default shard recipe. The pack changed it, so trust the recipe shown here and in JEI, not the amounts in that Ponder scene.[3][4]

The pack also has a second shard recipe, a Momentum belt recipe that the pack changed too. Momentum is a machine gem that unlocks high-speed belt recipes, so treat this as a later upgrade and not your first step.[1][3][4]

Step 2: Apokinetic Wrench

Next, craft the Apokinetic Wrench. Right-click a configured, compatible Create machine with it to open the machine's sockets. Each active socket holds one bound machine gem, and a machine can expose up to four config-controlled sockets. The pack changed this recipe too.[3][4]

How does Create: Apokinetics work?

8 parts

Create: Apokinetics lets you open sockets on supported Create machines with the Apokinetic Wrench and fill them with Machine Gems. The mod has twelve of them, and they can tune how your factory behaves. Two more blocks, the Apokinetic Table and the Kinetic Pylon, can grow your gems and your networks. Here is how it all fits together.[1][3]

Sockets and the Wrench

Right-click a configured, compatible Create machine with the Wrench to open its Apokinetic sockets. Each active socket can hold one bound machine gem. A machine can expose up to four config-controlled sockets, and its configured list controls which gems it accepts. The mod's example is a Press that by default accepts Velocity, Equilibrium, Precision, or Yielding.[3]

  • Inside one machine, normal bonuses can add across matching gems, while Frostwork and Momentum recipe gates may use only the strongest level.[3]
  • Any Belt segment can resolve to its chain controller when you use the Wrench on it. Valid Water Wheel structural blocks can likewise redirect to their master wheel.[3]
  • When possible, breaking a socketed machine can store its gems on the dropped machine item, and placing it again can restore them.[3]

You can configure the socket system. The mod lets you set default, per-machine and maximum socket counts, blacklist machines, control gem drops on breaking, and choose which gems each machine accepts.[1]

Unverified The exact socket counts and accepted-gem lists per machine are set in the mod's common config file, and the sources here do not show that file, so the pack's values are not confirmed.

The twelve Machine Gems

  • Velocity can speed up processing, and Equilibrium can lower stress.[1]
  • Precision can preserve inputs, and Yielding adds outputs.[1]
  • Impact can increase mechanical force, and Extension can add reach and range.[1]
  • Ignition can improve heat and fuel efficiency, and Frostwork can unlock cold-fan recipes.[1]
  • Flowing can improve fluid machinery, and Conveyance can speed up logistics.[1]
  • Momentum can unlock high-speed belt recipes and boost kinetic sources, and Rupture can improve breaking and contact damage.[1]

Gem purity determines a gem's starting strength. You can configure a value for each purity: Cracked, Chipped, Flawed, Normal, Flawless and Perfect. Permanent Rotation from the Table can then multiply that base value when Rotation affects Apokinetic gems.[1][3]

What a few gems do in detail

  • Equilibrium can multiply only that machine's stress impact by max(0, 1 - total bonus), which lowers the stress that machine uses. It does not add stress capacity or alter network RPM.[3]
  • Conveyance can speed up Belts, Chutes, Funnels, Arms, Packagers, Chain Conveyors and Weighted Ejectors. It can multiply Belt and Chute motion, shorten Funnel and packaging cooldowns, and raise compatible non-Belt machine speed.[3]
  • Extension adds blocks of range to Fans, Arms, Ejectors, Pistons, Rope Pulleys and Elevator Pulleys. The adjusted whole range rounds upward, so even a fractional positive bonus can add one block.[3]
  • Flowing can raise effective fluid-machine speed and fluid motion on Pumps, Hose Pulleys, Spouts and Item Drains.[3]

Only machines whose compatibility list includes a gem can accept it, so check that before you plan a build.[3]

Charging gems on the Apokinetic Table

The Table is powered from below by rotation. It can charge one bound Apotheosis gem, either ordinary or Apokinetic, when that gem category is enabled in config. Right-click an empty Table with a valid gem to insert exactly one. Otherwise, open its screen to inspect or remove the held gem.[3]

Once per second the Table can add the rounded absolute RPM to the gem as permanent Rotation. At 64 RPM that is 64 Rotation per second, in either direction. Configurable thresholds can turn Rotation into levels, and those levels multiply supported numeric bonuses. The screen shows total Rotation, level progress and the next requirement.[3]

Watch out: Higher held-gem levels can also increase the Table's own stress impact. The base stress, the growth and the maximum are configurable, and a maximum of zero means uncapped.[1][3]

Frostwork and Momentum recipes

Apokinetics adds two recipe families, Frostwork and Momentum. Both are gated by the effective whole level of a socketed machine gem. Either family can consume one or several loose ingredients and produce several results. A multi-input match consumes one item for every listed ingredient.[3]

  1. Frostwork: socket the gem into the Encased Fan, where its strongest whole effective level can become the recipe level for that airflow.[3]
  2. Place a tagged or configured cold-source block in the airflow, with the loose input between the fan and that source. The Fan must be running. Frostwork can check gem level only, because its recipes do not declare a recipe-specific minimum RPM.[3]
  3. Momentum: this family can check both gem level and RPM, and it transforms eligible stacks only after they leave the full Belt chain.[3]

The built-in Frostwork recipes can step up by level. Level 1 turns a Snowball into a Snow layer. Level 2 turns a Slime Ball into a Snowball. Level 3 turns Ice into Packed Ice. Level 4 turns a Water Bucket into a Powder Snow Bucket.[3]

Datapack recipes can list several ingredients. They consume one item per listed ingredient from loose stacks within 1.65 blocks, and Precision may preserve them.[3]

Tip: JEI can help before you build a processing line: use it to compare the exact ingredients, all outputs, the required gem level and the Momentum RPM.[3]

Apokinetic Shards

Shards can be used by every machine gem and by the Wrench, Table, Locator, Scanner and Kinetic Pylon. The pack changed the shard's crafting recipe, so follow the recipe below rather than the amounts in the mod's tooltip text.[3][4]

Unverified The minimum belt RPM for Momentum recipes is set in the mod's common config file, and the sources here do not show that file, so the pack's value is not confirmed.

The Kinetic Pylon

The Pylon can scan its configured radius for nearby Apothic Enchanting energy sources. Positive Eterna, Arcana and Quanta accumulate separately, each up to 100, which scales each channel's configured maximum bonus. Right-click it to inspect the radius, linked-source counts, channel energy, and current and maximum bonuses.[3]

  • Eterna can reduce total stress used across a linked Create kinetic network.[3]
  • Arcana can increase that network's total stress capacity. Reaching any connected member links the whole network.[3]
  • Quanta temporarily strengthens bound, non-machine Apotheosis gems used by players in range, including gems socketed in equipment.[3]
  • Overlapping Pylons do not add together. Each channel can use only the strongest available Pylon.[3]

Factory Locator and Factory Scanner

The Factory Locator follows one stack through your factory. Right-click a Belt, Basin, Depot, Chute, inventory or hovered loose stack to toggle a unique trace on that exact stack. The colored highlight follows supported movement between belts, processing inventories, containers, loose entities and your inventory. If the stack is temporarily unavailable or in another dimension, the trace goes dormant rather than switching to a different item. Use the Locator on the same stack again to stop tracking it. Sneak-use it to choose a highlight color before you start.[3]

The Factory Scanner can diagnose kinetic networks. Use it in air or on a block to inspect loaded Create kinetics within at least 128 blocks, or a larger configured radius, up to the scan cap. Each connected network can report stable, idle or overstressed status, machine counts, average RPM, and total stress use and capacity, including Pylon changes.[1][3]

  • Individual entries can expose actual and theoretical RPM, source state, process diagnosis, stress, inventory, fluid, heat and redstone data when available.[3]
  • Idle kinetics are grouped by physical connection. Contiguous Belts and Chain Conveyors can appear as one selectable machine entry.[3]
  • You can search and rename entries locally, highlight every block in a grouped entry for 15 seconds, or Refresh while still holding the Scanner.[3]

How do you progress through Create: Apokinetics?

4 parts

Same as in the All the Mons 1.3.0 guide

The sources here show no named tiers for this mod, so the path below is just the order the in-pack recipes imply. Everything hangs off one item, the shard, and the rest of the line builds on it.[5]

Start with the Apokinetic Shard

Everything begins with the Apokinetic Shard. Every other Apokinetics recipe in this pack uses it, so make it first. The pack changed the shard's recipe, and it exists both as a normal shaped crafting recipe and as a recipe of the mod's own momentum type.[5]

The Apokinetic Table

Next comes the Apokinetic Table. It is the one item in this list still marked as a mod recipe, so the pack did not touch it. It also pulls in Create parts, so you need your Create setup going before you can make it.[5]

Scanner and pylon

The last items in the line are the Factory Scanner and the Kinetic Pylon, and the pack changed both recipes. The scanner takes a finished Factory Locator as an ingredient, so you cannot skip the locator. Both the scanner and the pylon also need more advanced Create parts, so expect to have that production running first.[5]

How does Create: Apokinetics work with other mods?

4 parts

Same as in the All the Mons 1.3.0 guide

Apokinetics is a bridge between Create and Apotheosis, and the pack's recipes make that very clear. Apokinetic Shards, the Apokinetic Table, the Kinetic Pylon and every Machine Gem recipe all need Gem Dust from Apotheosis, so you'll want an Apotheosis gem setup running alongside your factory.[1][5]

Apotheosis

The twelve Machine Gems are made by recipes that output Apotheosis gems, and each one needs an Apokinetic Shard plus Gem Dust. The shard itself is also made from Gem Dust, an amethyst shard and an obsidian dust.[1][5]

The Kinetic Pylon also reaches into Apotheosis: it converts nearby Apothic Enchanting stats (Quanta, Eterna and Arcana) into factory buffs. Eterna reduces network stress use, Arcana increases generated stress capacity, and Quanta temporarily boosts nearby player gem stats. The pack changed its recipe.[1][5]

Gem recipes that use Create parts

Only some of the gem recipes ask for Create components: Conveyance, Extension, Impact and Velocity. Conveyance uses Andesite Alloy, while Extension, Impact and Velocity use Precision Mechanism. Velocity also uses an Electron Tube. The other gem recipes use no Create items.[5]

The pack changed the recipes for the Ignition, Impact, Momentum, Precision, Velocity and Yielding gems. Conveyance, Equilibrium, Extension, Flowing, Frostwork and Rupture use the mod's own recipes.[5]
