How does ProjectCell work?

4 parts

Same as in the Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2 guide

ProjectCell is a small bridge mod between ProjectE and Applied Energistics 2. It adds one cell that lets AE2 reach ProjectE's storage through that cell.[1]

The EMC Storage Cell

The EMC Storage Cell is described as "ProjectE Transmutation Storage" in the AE2 screens. It is the piece that connects the two systems.[1][2]

A fresh cell shows the tooltip "Unbound (Shift-Right Click to bind)". So before it does anything useful, you Shift-Right Click with it to bind it. The sources here do not explain what it binds to, so test that in your own world.[2]

Crafting it

The mod's own recipe is a shaped crafting recipe that uses AE2 and ProjectE parts. The exact layout is shown below.[3]

This is the mod's own shaped recipe for the cell.

The pack also adds a second, shapeless recipe for the same cell, so you have an alternative route to it.[3]

Item count limit

The mod has a server option, limitItemCount, that limits the maximum item count per type in the EMC storage cell to 2,147,483,647. This pack sets it to true, so the limit is active here.[2][4]

Tip: With the limit on in this pack, 2,147,483,647 is the maximum count the cell holds for each item type.[2][4]

EMC display options

The mod also has a few display options, which the language file describes like this:[2]

  • An EMC display that shows your current EMC and your gained EMC per second in the top-left corner.[2]
  • Short unit names, which use M/B/T instead of Million/Billion/Trillion.[2]
  • A learned indicator on item tooltips, showing a tick for learned items and a cross for unlearned ones.[2]
  • EMC value formatting with suffixes such as M/B/T. Hold Shift to show the full numbers.[2]
Watch out: If Project Expansion is also installed, the mod's project page says to keep the EMC display settings at their defaults, because changing them can cause display issues.[1]
