What is Replication AE2 Bridge?
4 parts
Replication AE2 Bridge links Applied Energistics 2 with the Replication mod. It adds one block, the AE2-Replication Bridge, which lets your ME system read your Replication network. The pack ships version 1.9.0.0.0.[1][2][3]
What it does
- Shows the amount of Replication matter in your AE2 terminals.[1][3]
- Lets you request replications through AE2's autocrafting system.[1][3]
- Lets you automate disintegrators using processing patterns.[1]
- Has a priority setting, so you decide which crafting requests are processed first.[3]
Who it is for
This is for you if you already run an AE2 network and want matter and replication handled from it instead of managing the Replication side by hand. It is a bridge, so you need both systems set up.[1][3]
Setup basics
Place the bridge where it can reach both networks. Connect an AE2 ME cable to one side and a Replication matter pipe to another. Right-click the block to open the priority screen, where higher values are processed first.[3]
Where it fits in the pack
The quest book puts the bridge in the logistics storage chapter, as "AE2-Replication Bridge" quest. Its task is to obtain the bridge item. It is unlocked after an earlier quest in that chapter, so it belongs with your storage and ME network progression.[4]
How do you get started with Replication AE2 Bridge?
4 parts
Good news: this addon is simple to start with. It adds one block, the AE2-Replication Bridge, which links your Applied Energistics 2 ME system to the Replication matter network. Once it's connected, you can see Replication matter in your AE2 terminals and request replications through AE2 autocrafting. It can also automate disintegrators with processing patterns.[1][3][5]
Step 1: Craft the bridge
The bridge is the first thing to make, because it is the main component of this addon and everything else runs through it. This pack lists two recipe entries for it, and both produce the same block. Here they are exactly as the pack has them:[5][6]

Second recipe entry in the pack for the same block.
The pack also has a quest that asks you to get the bridge: "AE2-Replication Bridge" quest. It sits in the logistics storage chapter of the quest book.[4]
Step 2: Place and connect it
- Place the bridge somewhere that can reach both networks.[3]
- Connect an AE2 ME cable to one side of the block.[3]
- Connect a Replication matter pipe to another side of the block.[3]
After that, matter quantities from the Replication network show up in your AE2 terminals, and you can request replications through AE2's autocrafting system.[1][3]
Step 3: Set a priority (optional)
Right-click the bridge to open its priority screen and type a value into the number field. Higher values are processed first and lower values later. The accepted range is -2,147,483,648 to +2,147,483,647, and 0 is the default. It matters most when you run several bridges and want some to be the main producers and others to act as backups.[3]
Setup tips
- Use only one Replication network per bridge.[3]
- By default, one bridge can handle about 20 replicators at the same time.[3]
- If you want to run more replicators than that, use a crafting CPU with a high number of Crafting Co-processing Units.[3]
How does Replication AE2 Bridge work?
8 parts
The whole mod comes down to one block, the AE2-Replication Bridge. It sits between your Applied Energistics 2 ME network and your Replication matter network and translates between them, so matter data shows up in your ME system and you can order replications from it.[1][3]
What the bridge lets you do
- See the amount of Replication matter in your AE2 terminals.[1][3]
- Request replications through AE2's autocrafting system.[1][3]
- Automate disintegrators using processing patterns.[1]
- Set crafting priorities so the bridge handles requests in the order you want.[3]
Crafting the bridge
The pack has a main recipe and an alternate recipe for the bridge, and the pack's recipe dump shows both with the same ingredients and the same result. Here they are as the pack has them.[6]

Placing and connecting it
- Place the bridge at a spot that can reach both networks.[3]
- Connect an AE2 ME cable to one side of the block.[3]
- Connect a Replication matter pipe to another side of the block.[3]
Power
The bridge's energy use is set by bridgeEnergyConsumption, which is 500 AE/t in this pack. That is the same as the mod default, so the pack hasn't changed it. The value must be above 0.[7]
Priority
Right-click the bridge to open the priority screen and type a number into the field. Higher values are processed first and lower values later. The allowed range is from -2,147,483,648 to +2,147,483,647.[3]
The mod's own guide suggests these rough bands: positive values (1 to 1000) are high priority, 0 is the default, and negative values (-1 to -1000) are low priority.[3]
- Production bridges for critical items: high priority, 100 to 500.[3]
- Backup bridges that give spare crafting capacity: low priority, -100 to -500.[3]
- Testing or experimental items: very low priority, -1000 or lower.[3]
Scaling up your replicators
- Use only one Replication network per bridge.[3]
- By default, one bridge can handle about 20 replicators at the same time.[3]
- To support more replicators, use a crafting CPU with a high number of Crafting Co-processing Units.[3]
Matter items
The mod ships names for these matter types: Earth, Ender, Living, Metallic, Nether, Organic, Precious and Quantum. Custom matter items are created automatically from the matter type registry, so bridgeCustomMatterConfigPath is a legacy option that does nothing and its JSON file is no longer read or written.[7][8]
Stability fixes and debugging
The mod includes crash-prevention fixes for Replication networks, and they are on in this pack. enableNetworkBlockEntityFix wraps network element registration on load in a safety net, so a RuntimeException there doesn't crash the server. enableNetworkManagerFix prevents 'Element network is null' crashes while the world loads, which affects all Replication network blocks such as pipes and replicators.[7]
The config says to turn either fix off only if another mod provides the same fix or it causes conflicts. Changes need a game restart.[7]
If you're troubleshooting, enableDebugLogging turns on aggressive logging, including network state dumps and reconnection logs. It is off in this pack.[7]
How do you progress through Replication AE2 Bridge?
3 parts
The sources show a single AE2-Replication Bridge block, with no upgrade versions. It links your AE2 ME network to a Replication matter network, so progression with it is about when you reach it in the quest book and what you need to craft it.[3][5][6]
Where it shows up in the quests
The pack has one quest for the bridge, "AE2-Replication Bridge" quest, in the logistics storage chapter. It is an item task for the bridge itself. The quest comes after quest 4882D3E03CC01268 in the same chapter, so that is the one to finish first.[4]
Crafting it
The pack has two shaped crafting recipes for the bridge. Both use the same inputs and give the same result.[6]

After you craft it
Place the bridge where it can reach both networks, connect an AE2 ME cable to one side, and connect a Replication matter pipe to another. Once it is linked, you can view matter quantities through AE2 terminals and request replications through AE2 autocrafting.[3]
- Use only one Replication network per bridge.[3]
- The mod's in-game guide says that by default one bridge can handle about 20 replicators at the same time.[3]
- To run more replicators, use a crafting CPU with a high number of Crafting Co-processing Units.[3]
- Right-click the bridge to open its priority screen. Higher values are processed first, which helps if you run several bridges.[3]
How does Replication AE2 Bridge work with other mods?
4 parts
The bridge exists to link two mods: Applied Energistics 2 (AE2) and Replication. It connects your ME system with the Replication matter network, so you can use matter data straight from your ME terminals.[1][5]
What the bridge does between AE2 and Replication
- It lets AE2 terminals display the amount of Replication matter in your network.[1][3]
- You can request replications through AE2's autocrafting system.[1][3]
- It lets you automate disintegrators using processing patterns.[1]
How it is crafted
The crafting recipe for AE2-Replication Bridge uses parts from both sides: an ME Storage Bus from AE2, plus items from the AE2 pattern provider tag and the replica storage block tag. The pack has two recipe entries for the bridge, and both give the same result.[6]

Hooking it up
Place the bridge where it can reach both networks. Connect an AE2 ME cable to one side and a Replication matter pipe to another side.[3]
By default, one bridge can handle about 20 replicators at once. If you want more than that, use a crafting CPU with a high number of Crafting Co-processing Units. Also stick to one Replication network per bridge.[3]
Quest
The bridge has its own quest, "AE2-Replication Bridge" quest, in the logistics storage chapter. Its task is to have the bridge, and it comes after another quest in that chapter.[4]
Which FTB StoneBlock 4 quests use Replication AE2 Bridge?
In this pack, the mod appears in a single quest, in the logistics storage chapter of the quest book. That is all the quest book says about it, so this section is short.[4]
The quest is "AE2-Replication Bridge" quest, and it has no title. Its one task is an item task: you hand in the AE2-Replication Bridge.[4]
It unlocks after another quest in the same chapter, so you need to finish that one first.[4]
Which Replication AE2 Bridge config options matter?
2 parts
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
Replication AE2 Bridge keeps everything in a single file, config/rep_ae2_bridge-common.toml. It's a short file, and there's good news: for the two options where the file lists a mod default, this pack leaves the value exactly as the mod ships it.[9]
Options you might actually touch
- bridgeEnergyConsumption is the energy the bridge uses, measured in AE/t. The pack sets it to 500, the same as the mod default, and the value must be greater than 0. If your AE2 network is tight on power, this is the number to look at.[9]
- bridgeCustomMatterConfigPath is the directory the bridge reads its matter declaration files from. The pack sets it to "config", which is also the mod default.[9]
- enableDebugLogging is set to false in the pack. Turning it on enables aggressive debug logging for troubleshooting, including network state dumps and reconnection logs. Only flip it when you're chasing a problem.[9]
Crash-protection fixes
Two options switch on safety fixes, and the pack has both enabled (true). Both need a game restart to take effect if you change them. The file says to disable them only if another mod provides the same fix or they cause conflicts.[9]
- enableNetworkBlockEntityFix wraps the Replication network block entity's element registration in a try-catch. That stops any RuntimeException during network element registration from crashing the server.[9]
- enableNetworkManagerFix prevents 'Element network is null' crashes while a world is loading. It fixes a race condition in Titanium's network merging that affects all Replication network blocks, such as pipes and replicators.[9]
Unverified The file doesn't list mod defaults for the debug logging option or the two fix options, so I can't say whether the pack changed them.
What changed in Replication AE2 Bridge between versions?
1 part
FTB StoneBlock 4 1.21.0 ships Replication AE2 Bridge 1.9.0.0.0, and the mod has been in the pack since 1.0.0 or earlier. I don't have a changelog for 1.9.0.0.0 itself, and no pack changelog entries mention this mod. What follows are the mod's own changelogs for earlier versions, newest first.[2]
Mod changelog highlights
- 1.8.0.0.1: The mod got its own creative tab, so its items are no longer placed in the AE2 creative tab. Equivalent items for matters were also added to that tab, so they show up in JEI and similar mods.[10]
- 1.8.0.0.0: Matter is now separated from regular items using AE2 types.[11]
- 1.7.0.2.0: Fixed a server crash with the message "Element network is null!" during world loading. It could happen when any Replication network block (pipes, replicators, matter tanks and so on) tried to merge with neighbours whose networks weren't initialized yet. The changelog says this was a race condition in Titanium's NetworkManager, not specific to the AE2 Bridge. The fix adds a Mixin on Titanium's NetworkManager and one on Replication's NetworkBlockEntity. Both are enabled by default and can be toggled in the config file with enableNetworkManagerFix and enableNetworkBlockEntityFix, and a game restart is required. Worlds that previously crashed on load should now start normally.[12]
- 1.7.0.1.2: Added missing logs to the debug log flag.[13]
- 1.7.0.1.1: Fixed a server deadlock caused by having the bridge in compact machines.[14]
- 1.7.0.1.0: Removed an unnecessary and problematic mixin on Titanium.[15]
- 1.6.0.0.0: Creating custom materials became semi-automated, though textures, lang and models still have to be made manually. A fallback system from Replication RS2 Bridge was added for when custom materials aren't available yet because they start asynchronously.[16]
- 1.3.0.0.8: Removed the mod's internal queue, so it now uses the Replication task queue directly. That improves how the current matter is displayed, allows multiple tasks at the same time, and fixes bugs with replicators in infinite mode.[17]
