Refined Delight is a mod in FTB StoneBlock 4 1.23.0, where it is version 1.1.0. A mod that allows Refined Storage and Farmer's Delight to work together! (Summary from the mod's Modrinth page.)

What is Refined Delight?

3 parts

Refined Delight is a small bridge mod that, per its project page, lets Refined Storage and Farmer's Delight work together. It adds one block, the Wireless Cooking Pot, which is described as a Farmer's Delight cooking pot that pulls its ingredients straight from a Refined Storage network.[1]

This pack includes Refined Delight 1.1.0.[2]

What it does

  • The project page says it can cook Farmer's Delight cooking-pot recipes, including ones added by other Farmer's Delight add-ons. Like the normal pot, it needs a heat source below it.[1]
  • Its recipe panel is described as listing every cooking-pot recipe, each with a live count of how many you can make at that moment from your inventory and your network combined. You can search, sort A to Z, or filter to what you can craft.[1]
  • Click a recipe to load one serving, or shift-click to load as many as the ingredients, the pot and its energy allow. Once it is loaded, the page says the pot just cooks.[1]
  • It uses your own inventory before touching the network, and only network pulls cost energy. Milk and water can be drawn from the network's fluid storage when no bucket or bottle is stocked.[1]
  • Finished meals wait in the pot until you supply their container, either by hand or with a button that requests it from the network. A second button returns everything to storage.[1]

Crafting

The project page says the Wireless Cooking Pot is crafted from a Farmer's Delight cooking pot, and that the exact recipe can be viewed in JEI, EMI or REI.[1]

Getting started

  1. Craft a Wireless Cooking Pot from a Farmer's Delight cooking pot.[1]
  2. Place it on a heat source such as a campfire or stove.[1]
  3. Sneak and right-click any block on your Refined Storage network to bind it. The network still needs a Wireless Transmitter covering the pot.[1]
  4. Charge it, open it, and pick a recipe.[1]

How do you get started with Refined Delight?

4 parts

Getting started here is quick. The mod is built around one item, the Wireless Cooking Pot. It's a Farmer's Delight cooking pot that draws its ingredients from a Refined Storage network, so the network does the fetching for you.[3]

Craft the Wireless Cooking Pot

This is the item to make first, and it's the reason to set the mod up in the first place. The recipe starts from a Farmer's Delight cooking pot. Here's the exact in-pack recipe:[4]

This is the recipe the pack uses for the Wireless Cooking Pot.

Set it up

  1. Place the pot somewhere with a heat source beneath it. It still needs heat to cook, just like the normal Farmer's Delight pot.[3]
  2. Sneak and right-click any block of your Refined Storage network to bind it. The tooltip changes from "Not bound to a network" to "Bound to the Refined Storage network", so you can check it worked.[3]
  3. Make sure the network has a Wireless Transmitter in range of the pot. Without one, the pot can't connect.[3]
  4. Charge the pot's battery, then open it and pick a recipe from the panel.[3]

Charging the battery

You can charge the pot from any FE source, or by putting an energy cable against the side of a placed pot. The tooltip shows how much energy is stored. Only items pulled from the network cost battery, so you aren't spending power on everything you cook.[3]

Tip: The pot pulls from your own inventory first, then from the network, and only items pulled from the network cost battery.[3]

Cooking and serving

The recipe panel lists every cooking-pot recipe, including ones from other Farmer's Delight add-ons, with a live count of how many you can make right now. Click a recipe to load one serving, or shift-click to load as many as the ingredients, the pot and its energy allow. Once it's loaded, you can walk away and let it cook.[1]

Finished meals stay in the pot until you give it serving containers. You can hand them over yourself or use the request button to pull them from the network. A second button returns everything to storage.[1][3]

Watch out: If the pot won't connect, check the Wireless Transmitter first. The network needs one in range for the pot to connect.[3]

How does Refined Delight work?

5 parts

Refined Delight adds a single block, the Wireless Cooking Pot. It is a Farmer's Delight cooking pot that pulls its ingredients from a Refined Storage network instead of making you carry them. Farmer's Delight does the cooking and Refined Storage supplies the items, so everything below is about how those two halves connect.[1][3]

It still behaves like a normal cooking pot in one important way: it needs a heat source beneath it to cook. The network only replaces the ingredient fetching, not the fire.[1][3]

Crafting it

The pack's recipe starts from a Farmer's Delight cooking pot.

Binding it to your network

  1. Place the pot on a heat source such as a campfire or stove.[1]
  2. Sneak + right-click any block of your Refined Storage network to bind it. The tooltip changes from "Not bound to a network" to "Bound to the Refined Storage network" so you can check.[1][3]
  3. Make sure the network has a Wireless Transmitter covering the pot, otherwise it can't connect.[1][3]
  4. Charge the battery, open the pot and pick a recipe from the panel. Each recipe shows a live count of how many you can make right now from your inventory and network combined.[1]

Cooking and ingredient handling

Opening the pot shows a recipe panel listing the cooking-pot recipes. Each one has a live count of how many you can make right now from your inventory and your network combined. You can search, sort A-Z, or filter to only what you can craft. Every cooking-pot recipe works, including ones added by other Farmer's Delight add-ons.[1]

Click a recipe to load one serving, or shift-click to load as many as the ingredients, the pot and its energy allow. Once loaded, the pot owns everything it needs and just cooks, so you can walk away.[1]

The pot takes items from your own inventory first and only then from the network. Only items pulled from the network cost battery. Milk and water can be drawn from the network's fluid storage when no bucket or bottle is stocked.[1][3]

In this pack wirelessCookingPot.showAllRecipes is true, so the panel shows every Farmer's Delight cooking recipe. If it were false, only recipes the player has unlocked would appear.[5]

Some ingredients leave an empty container behind, like the bucket from a milk bucket. wirelessCookingPot.returnRemaindersToNetwork is true in this pack, so those containers go back into the network. With it off they would drop on the floor, which is what the vanilla Farmer's Delight pot does.[5]

Serving

Finished meals stay in the pot until you give it their serving containers. You can do that by hand or with the request button, which asks the network for the container. A second button returns everything to storage.[1][3]

The battery

The pot has its own Forge Energy battery, and it pays for network access, not for the heat that cooks the food. You can charge it from any FE source, or by placing an energy cable against the side of a placed pot. The tooltip shows the stored energy as FE and as a percentage.[3][5]

Watch out: Keeping the link open is not free. If the battery can't pay the idle drain, the pot drops offline until you recharge it, so keep it topped up even when you aren't cooking.[5]

How do you progress through Refined Delight?

1 part

Refined Delight doesn't have a tier ladder in this pack. The recipe data shows a single crafted item from the mod, the Wireless Cooking Pot, so progression here is one unlock rather than a series of upgrades.[4]

Crafting the Wireless Cooking Pot

The Wireless Cooking Pot is a shaped crafting recipe, and the pack uses the mod's own recipe for it. Here is the exact in-pack recipe:[4]

This is the mod's own shaped crafting recipe, so check the ingredients here before you start gathering.

The mod also adds an in-game guide book with an entry for the Wireless Cooking Pot, which is a handy place to read about it once you have crafted one.[6][7]

How does Refined Delight work with other mods?

3 parts

Refined Delight is a bridge mod. It adds one block, the Wireless Cooking Pot, a Farmer's Delight cooking pot that, once it is bound to your Refined Storage network, can pull its ingredients from that network. Farmer's Delight does the cooking and Refined Storage supplies the ingredients.[1]

Crafting the bridge

The pot starts from a Cooking Pot, with Refined Storage parts such as the Advanced Processor and Quartz Enriched Iron added to it. The block below shows the exact in-pack recipe.[1][4]

What each mod brings

  • From Farmer's Delight: the cooking. Every cooking-pot recipe works, including ones added by other Farmer's Delight add-ons. The pot needs a heat source below it, just like the normal Farmer's Delight pot.[1]
  • From Refined Storage: the ingredients. The pot's recipe panel shows a live count of how many of each recipe you can make from your inventory and your network combined.[1]
  • Your own inventory is used before the network, and only network pulls cost energy. Milk and water can come from the network's fluid storage when you have no bucket or bottle stocked.[1]

Linking it to your network

  1. Place the pot on a heat source, such as a campfire or a stove.[1]
  2. Sneak and right-click any block on your Refined Storage network to bind the pot to it. The network still needs a Wireless Transmitter covering the pot.[1]
  3. Charge the pot, open it and pick a recipe. The recipe panel shows a live count of what you can make right now from your inventory and network combined. Shift-click a recipe to load as many servings as the ingredients, the pot and its energy allow.[1]
Watch out: Binding is not enough on its own. Your network still needs a Wireless Transmitter covering the pot.[1]

Which Refined Delight config options matter?

2 parts

Refined Delight's server config, config/refineddelight-server.toml, holds the options for the Wireless Cooking Pot. Here is how this pack sets each one.[5]

Energy settings

The pot runs on Forge Energy. The battery pays for network access, not for the heat that cooks the food, so you still need a heat source under the pot, just like the vanilla Farmer's Delight pot. The pack leaves the battery and both drain options at the mod default.[1][5]

Tip: The idle drain applies whenever the link is open, so keep the pot's battery topped up if you leave it connected for a long time. Ingredients from your own inventory cost no energy, because the pot uses your inventory before touching the network and only network pulls cost energy.[1][5]

Recipes and leftovers

  • wirelessCookingPot.showAllRecipes is true in this pack, so the recipe list shows every Farmer's Delight cooking recipe. If it were false, you would only see recipes you have unlocked.[5]
  • wirelessCookingPot.returnRemaindersToNetwork is true in this pack. Empty containers left behind by cooked ingredients, like the empty bucket from a milk bucket, go back into your network. If it were false, they would drop on the floor, which is what the vanilla Farmer's Delight pot does.[5]

What changed in Refined Delight between versions?

2 parts

FTB StoneBlock 4 1.21.0 ships Refined Delight 1.1.0. The mod has been in the pack since 1.17.0 or earlier, so if you've been playing for a while you've likely had it for a good stretch.[2]

1.1.0

  • A placed Wireless Cooking Pot can now be powered by energy cables. Run any Forge Energy cable (Mekanism, Flux and the like) into one of its sides and it charges the battery and keeps it topped up, so a stationary pot never runs down.[8]
  • When you pick the pot up, it runs on the stored charge as before, and it still charges from any FE charger too.[8]
  • Translations were added for 10 languages: German, Spanish, French, Italian, Korean, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.[8]

1.0.1

This was a small release that replaced the logo image with a properly sourced asset. Nothing changes in how the mod plays.[9]
