What is Pocket Storage?
2 parts
Pocket Storage is a storage mod, and this pack ships version 1.2.5 of it. The only thing I can confirm about what it adds is the Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 1, the Tier: 1 Pocket Storage Unit. The rest of this guide sticks to what the pack's own files show.[1][2]
Where it fits in the pack
The mod appears in the pack's logistics storage quest chapter. That chapter has a quest, a quest in "?", whose task is to have the Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 1. So the quest book treats the tier 1 unit as an entry point into the pack's storage options.[2]
The quest has no title or description in the pack files, so there is no in-quest text to quote or reward to describe.[2]
What I can't confirm
Unverified The sources don't describe how the Pocket Storage Unit works, its capacity, its higher tiers or its crafting recipe. I have no in-jar guidebook or platform description for the mod, so I'm not guessing at any of that. The mod is also not on the ATM Star quest path.
How do you get started with Pocket Storage?
6 parts
Your first Pocket Storage item is the Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 1. The quest book has a quest in the logistics storage chapter whose task is to have one, so it makes a natural early target: a quest in "?".[2]
What the unit does
Each unit holds a number of different items, up to a set amount of each, and the tooltip shows the limits for that tier. It automatically absorbs matching items when you pick them up.[3]
Step 1: craft the Tier 1 unit
Start here. This is the mod's own crafting recipe, and the dump does not mark it as changed by the pack.[4]

Step 2: upgrade through the tiers
There are four tiers, from Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 1 up to Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 4. Each upgrade takes the previous tier as an input, so you upgrade the unit you already have and take the tiers one at a time.[4]
The pack adds a smithing recipe for each upgrade, alongside the mod's own upgrade recipes. Both routes are shown below, so you can use whichever suits the materials you have.[4]
- Tier 1 to Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 2, using either the pack's smithing recipe or the mod's upgrade recipe.[4]
- Tier 2 to Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 3, again with either route.[4]
- Tier 3 to Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 4, the last tier, which also has both routes.[4]

How does Pocket Storage work?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Pocket Storage is built around one item: the Pocket Storage Unit, a portable storage item that comes in four tiers, from Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 1 up to Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 4. There are no machines, multiblocks or power systems here. It's all about what the unit does while it sits in your inventory.[5][6]
How storage works
Every tier works the same way. A unit holds a set number of different item types, and it can store up to a set amount of each type. The tooltip shows both limits for the unit you're holding, so check it when you pick one up.[5]
Unverified The exact number of item types and the per-item limit for each tier could not be confirmed. The tooltip fills them in from values that aren't in the available sources. Check the in-game tooltip for the real numbers.
Auto-pickup and voiding
This is the unit's key trick. When you pick up items that match what's stored in it, the unit absorbs them automatically. That keeps your main inventory free of the blocks and drops you collect most while mining or building.[5]
Tier progression
You craft Tier 1 with a normal shaped recipe. You don't craft Tiers 2, 3 and 4 from scratch. Each one uses a special upgrade recipe that takes the previous tier's unit as one of its inputs. So you climb the tiers by upgrading the unit you already have.[6]

Upgrades a Tier 3 unit
Unverified It could not be confirmed whether items stored in a unit carry over when you upgrade it to the next tier. Empty it first if you're not sure. It's also unconfirmed how you get items back out, or whether hoppers, pipes or other automation can interact with the units.
How do you progress through Pocket Storage?
5 parts
Pocket Storage comes in four tiers, and each one is an upgrade of the one before it. You start with Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 1, then move up through Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 2 and Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 3 to Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 4.[4]
Tier 1: where it starts
The Tier 1 unit is the only one you craft from scratch. Every higher tier is made by upgrading the unit below it.[4]

The pack's quest book has a quest for this in the logistics storage chapter: a quest in "?". Its task is the Tier 1 unit. The sources show no quests for the higher tiers.[2]
Tiers 2 to 4: two ways to upgrade
In this pack each upgrade step has two recipes. One is the mod's own upgrade recipe. The other is a smithing table recipe that the pack adds. Both take the previous tier's unit as an input, so you never skip a tier.[4]
Tier 2
Added by the pack: a smithing table upgrade from Tier 1.

How does Pocket Storage work with other mods?
2 parts
Same as in the FTB StoneBlock 4 1.21.0 guide
Pocket Storage connects to another mod in one place: the upgrade path for the Pocket Storage Unit. In this pack, going from Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 1 up to Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 4 is done at a smithing table, and the upgrade templates come from Apotheosis.[7]
Upgrading units with smithing
Each tier step is its own smithing recipe, and the pack added all three. Every step takes the previous tier's unit plus an Apotheosis upgrade smithing template, and the template changes as you climb. You will see these in order below.[7]
Tier 1 to Tier 2, using the iron upgrade smithing template.
Tier 2 to Tier 3, using the gold upgrade smithing template.
Tier 3 to Tier 4, using the diamond upgrade smithing template.
Quest tie-in
The quest a quest in "?" in the storage logistics chapter has a task for Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 1. It only involves this mod's own item, so the quest itself shows no other mod connection.[8]
Which FTB StoneBlock 4 quests use Pocket Storage?
Same as in the FTB StoneBlock 4 1.21.0 guide
Pocket Storage shows up in one place in this pack's quest book: the logistics storage chapter. Only a single quest there involves the mod, so there is no questline to follow and no order to worry about.[8]
- a quest in "?" is an untitled quest in the logistics storage chapter. Its one task is the item Pocket Storage Unit Tier: 1, the Tier 1 Pocket Storage Unit.[8]
