What is Simple Rich Discord Presence?
3 parts
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
Simple Rich Discord Presence adds Discord Rich Presence to the game. While you play, your Discord status shows a short message under the pack name, such as "In Overworld" or "In Nether", plus a small image with hover text.[1]
This pack ships the NeoForge build of the mod for Minecraft 1.21.1, and it was already included in 1.22.0 or earlier.[2]
What you can configure
- clientId is the ID of the Discord app the presence is shown through.[1]
- enable lets you turn Discord Rich Presence off completely by setting it to false.[1]
- screenEvent controls the built-in event that tells Discord when you're on the main menu. Set it to false to disable it.[1]
- clientJoinEvent controls the built-in event that fires when you join a world or change dimension. Set it to false to disable it.[1]
For pack makers and tinkerers
The mod has KubeJS integration. SDRP.setState takes a message, an image name for the hover text, and an image key. SDRP.getCurrentState returns the state the client is currently set to.[1]
For dimensions, the text comes from lang keys of the form sdrp.<dimension path>.in for the message and sdrp.<dimension path> for the hover text. You can edit or add these with data packs or with a mod like KubeJS. If you use your own Rich Presence application, the image keys are logo, loading and menu, and dimension images use the dimension's registry path, such as overworld, the_nether or the_end.[1]
Where it fits in the quest book
Unverified The sources here do not show any chapter, group or position for this mod in the pack's quest book, nor whether the ATM Star path uses it, so its place in the quest book is unverified.
How do you get started with Simple Rich Discord Presence?
3 parts
Simple Rich Discord Presence is a Discord Rich Presence mod: it tells Discord what you are doing in the game, such as sitting on a menu screen or being in a certain dimension. It works from its config, so the first steps here are settings to check.[1][3]
Check that it is switched on
In this pack, enabled is set to true, so Rich Presence is on by default. If you would rather not show your game on Discord, set it to false in the mod's common config.[3]
What it shows
- Menus: screens covers the title screen, the multiplayer screen and the world selection screen. All of them use the main menu message and the menu image key. You can turn this off with enableUpdateScreenPresence.[3]
- Dimensions: dimensionsSupport has entries for the Overworld, the Nether and the End, each using the dimension's name as its message. You can turn dimension updates off with enableUpdateDimensionPresence.[3]
- Buttons: the pack sets its own buttons, labelled "Join us on Discord!" and "Download the FTB App".[3]
If something looks wrong
Set logState to true and the mod will log the state it is sending to Discord. The pack leaves it at false.[3]
clientId is the Discord App ID the presence is sent under. The pack already sets one, so you do not need to touch it unless you are using your own Rich Presence application.[1][3]
How does Simple Rich Discord Presence work?
5 parts
Simple Rich Discord Presence has no machines, multiblocks, power or fluids to manage. It is a tool that tells Discord what you are doing, so its whole behaviour is controlled by its config file and, optionally, KubeJS. This section walks through how that works in this pack.[1][3]
The on/off switches
enabled is the master switch. It is true in this pack, and setting it to false turns Discord Rich Presence off completely.[3]
Further switches control the mod's built-in events, and both are true in the pack. enableUpdateDimensionPresence drives the event that notices when you join a world and when you change dimension. enableUpdateScreenPresence drives the event that notices when you are on the main menu or another enabled screen.[3]
If you want to see exactly what gets sent, logState makes the mod log the current state it sends to Discord. The pack leaves it false.[3]
Dimension presence
The dimensionsSupport list decides how each dimension shows up. The pack defines entries for the Overworld, the Nether and the End, matched by exact dimension id. Each entry uses the dimension's name for the message and the hover text, uses the dimension's path as the image key, and has prefixWithIn set to true.[3]
On the mod's project page, the image key for a dimension is the path of its registry name, such as overworld, the_nether or the_end. The message (for example "In Overworld") comes from the lang key sdrp.<dimension path>.in, and the hover text on the small image comes from sdrp.<dimension path>. Lang keys can be changed or added with data packs or with mods like KubeJS.[1]
Menu screens
screens maps game screens to a presence. The pack's entry uses the sdrp.mainmenu message and the menu image key. It applies to the title screen, the multiplayer server list and the world selection screen.[3]
Your Discord application and buttons
clientId is the Discord App ID that the presence is shown under, and the pack sets its own value. The images Discord displays come from that application's art assets. If you ever use your own application, the project page lists the image keys logo, loading and menu, plus a key for each dimension path.[1][3]
buttons defines the clickable buttons on your Discord profile card. The pack sets "Join us on Discord!" and "Download the FTB App".[3]
KubeJS control
The project page documents the functions SDRP.setState and SDRP.getCurrentState. SDRP.setState takes a message, an imageName and an imageKey. The message is the text shown under the pack name, such as "In Overworld", and the imageName is the hover text on the small image. Both can be plain text or a lang key. The imageKey is the name of the art asset to show. SDRP.getCurrentState returns the state the client is currently set to.[1]
The page's example script is a startup script that listens for the player joining a world on the client side and then calls SDRP.setState with lang keys built from the dimension path. Treat it as an illustration of the idea and not as a copy-paste script for this pack. The page also lists the config names enable, screenEvent and clientJoinEvent, while this pack's file uses the keys described above.[1][3]
Which Simple Rich Discord Presence config options matter?
2 parts
Everything for Simple Rich Discord Presence lives in one file, and the pack ships it with these values. Here are the options you're most likely to touch.[3]
The on/off switches
- enabled is true in this pack. Set it to false if you don't want Discord Rich Presence at all.[3]
- enableUpdateDimensionPresence is true. It controls the built-in event that notices when you join a world and when you change dimension. Setting it to false turns that off.[1][3]
- enableUpdateScreenPresence is true. It controls the built-in screen event that detects when you're on the main menu or other enabled screens. Setting it to false turns that off.[3]
- logState is false. If you turn it on, the mod logs the current state it is sending to Discord.[3]
What shows up on your profile

dimensionsSupport has entries for the Overworld, the Nether and the End in this pack. Each one uses the dimension's name as the message and its path as the image key, with prefixWithIn set to true. No other dimensions are listed.[3]

What changed in Simple Rich Discord Presence between versions?

We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as sdrp, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
