What is Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter?

1 part

Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.10 guide

Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter adds a wireless transmitter with infinite range across all dimensions. If you've ever been annoyed by range limits or by being in a different dimension from your base, this block is meant to remove that problem.[1]

It also comes in color variants, like every other block in Refined Storage. That makes it a good fit if you like keeping your setup tidy and color-coded.[1]

In this pack

The pack includes version 1.21.1-0.1.5 of the mod, built for NeoForge. It has been in the pack since version 2.44 or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the mod list.[2]

Unverified The sources I have don't show any quests that involve this mod, and they don't place it on the ATM Star path. I also couldn't confirm the in-pack recipe, so check the recipe viewer in-game before planning around it. This site does hold FTB Skies 2: Aero's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

How do you get started with Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter?

3 parts

Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide

Good news: this mod is a one-item upgrade, so getting started is short. The Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter gives you wireless network access with infinite range, and it works across dimensions.[1][3]

First, craft the transmitter

The base transmitter is crafted with a shaped crafting recipe. Here is the exact version from this pack:[4]

Crafting Shaped

Crafting Shaped
Wireless TransmitterNether StarWireless Transmitter
Nether StarElytraNether Star
Wireless TransmitterNether StarWireless Transmitter

Recipe id: interdimensionalwirelesstransmitter:interdimensional_wireless_transmitter

This is the shaped crafting recipe for the base transmitter in this pack.

Then put it to work

The transmitter provides wireless network access for items like the Wireless Grid, with infinite range, and it is cross-dimensional. The mod even has an advancement for transmitting a network signal across dimensions with infinite range.[3]

  1. Craft the Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter using the recipe above.[4]
  2. Use it as the wireless source for your network, so wireless items like the Wireless Grid can connect with infinite range and across dimensions.[3]
  3. Optionally, recolor it to match your base (see below).[1][4]

Optional: pick a color

Like every other block in Refined Storage, the transmitter has color variants, such as Red Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter and Blue Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter. Each color has its own shapeless dyeing recipe. Here is red as an example:[1][4]

Crafting Shapeless

  • any interdimensional wireless transmitters
  • any red dye

Recipe id: interdimensionalwirelesstransmitter:coloring/red_interdimensional_wireless_transmitter

A shapeless dyeing recipe that turns a transmitter into the red variant.

The light blue dyeing recipe outputs the base Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter rather than a separate light blue item.[4]

How does Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter work?

4 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

The Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter has one job: it gives your storage network a wireless connection with no range limit. The sources describe no machine processing, multiblock structure or item and fluid handling for it, so this section is short.[1][5]

What it does

The transmitter provides wireless network access for items like the Wireless Grid. It has infinite range and is cross-dimensional, so distance and dimension do not matter.[5]

The mod also describes itself as a Wireless Transmitter with infinite range across all dimensions. It comes in color variants, like every other block in Refined Storage.[1]

Getting one

The pack has a crafting table recipe for the base transmitter. This is the recipe exactly as it exists in this pack:[6]

Crafting Shaped

Crafting Shaped

Nether StarElytraNether Star

Recipe id: interdimensionalwirelesstransmitter:interdimensional_wireless_transmitter

This is the pack's shaped crafting recipe for the base transmitter.

Color variants

Recoloring is a shapeless crafting recipe: one dye plus any item from the mod's transmitter tag gives the colored version. The pack has colored items for black, blue, brown, cyan, gray, green, light gray, lime, magenta, orange, pink, purple, red, white and yellow.[6]

Crafting Shapeless

  • any interdimensional wireless transmitters
  • any red dye

Recipe id: interdimensionalwirelesstransmitter:coloring/red_interdimensional_wireless_transmitter

Every dye follows this same pattern. Red is just an example.

The light blue dye recipe is the odd one out. In this pack its output is the standard Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter, and no separate light blue item appears in the sources.[6]

Power use

The mod has a configurable energy usage option for the transmitter. The only description the sources give is that it sets the energy usage of the Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter.[5]

Unverified The actual energy usage value is not shown in the sources here. It is set through the mod's energyUsage config option, and no config file for this mod is available as a source.

How do you progress through Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter?

3 parts

Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide

Good news: there's no tier ladder to climb with the Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter. The recipe dump shows one crafting recipe for the base item and a set of dye-coloring recipes for cosmetic variants. It shows no upgrade recipes that turn one level into another.[4]

Getting the base transmitter

The base item has a single shaped crafting recipe in this pack. It builds on the Refined Storage wireless transmitter, so you'll need to get that far into the storage side of the pack first. Here's the exact in-pack recipe:[4]

Crafting Shaped

Crafting Shaped
Wireless TransmitterNether StarWireless Transmitter
Nether StarElytraNether Star
Wireless TransmitterNether StarWireless Transmitter

Recipe id: interdimensionalwirelesstransmitter:interdimensional_wireless_transmitter

Coloring your transmitters

Once you have a transmitter, you can dye it. Each coloring recipe is shapeless: one dye plus any transmitter from the mod's transmitter tag gives you the matching colored version. Here's the red one as an example:[4]

Crafting Shapeless

  • any interdimensional wireless transmitters
  • any red dye

Recipe id: interdimensionalwirelesstransmitter:coloring/red_interdimensional_wireless_transmitter

The pack has coloring recipes for black, blue, brown, cyan, gray, green, light gray, lime, magenta, orange, pink, purple, red, white and yellow. These produce items like Black Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter and Lime Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter.[4]

Tip: The light blue dye recipe is the odd one out. It outputs the plain Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter, and there is no separate light blue item in the sources. So light blue dye is the way back to the base item.[4]

Quests

Unverified No quest in this pack is confirmed to involve this mod, so there is no quest-guided progression to follow. Treat the transmitter as an optional convenience item to craft whenever you're ready for it.

How does Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter work with other mods?

Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.10 guide

The Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter connects to Refined Storage. It is a version of the Wireless Transmitter with infinite range across all dimensions, and like other Refined Storage blocks it comes in color variants.[1][7]

The recipe is the one place in the pack data where this mod meets other mods. It is the mod's own shaped crafting recipe, and it combines items from Refined Storage and vanilla Minecraft. Here is the exact in-pack recipe for Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter:[7]

Crafting Shaped

Crafting Shaped
Wireless TransmitterNether StarWireless Transmitter
Nether StarElytraNether Star
Wireless TransmitterNether StarWireless Transmitter

Recipe id: interdimensionalwirelesstransmitter:interdimensional_wireless_transmitter

This is a shaped crafting recipe that mixes Refined Storage and vanilla Minecraft items.

The pack's quest book has no quests that involve this mod, so you will not find a quest chapter that points you to it.[7]

Which Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter config options matter?

1 part

Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.23.0 guide

The Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter has just one config option that the sources here show, and it lives in the common config file.[8]

Energy usage

interdimensionalWirelessTransmitter.energyUsage is set to 100 in this pack. That is the same as the mod default of 100, so the pack has not changed it.[8]

The option accepts values from 0 up to 9,223,372,036,854,775,807, so you have a lot of room if you want to tune it for your own setup.[8]

Tip: The transmitter itself has infinite range across all dimensions, so this energy setting is the only config you need to think about for it.[1][8]

What changed in Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter between versions?

1 part

There isn't much history to cover here, which is a good sign. FTB Skies 2: Aero 1.10.0 ships Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter version 1.21.1-0.1.5 for NeoForge, and the mod has been in the pack since 1.0.3 or earlier.[9]

Version 1.21.1-0.1.5

  • Fixed a crash that happened with a beta release of Refined Storage. This is the only change listed in the mod's own changelog for the version the pack uses.[10]

Unverified No pack changelog entries for this mod were available, so any changes to it between individual pack releases are unverified.
