What is Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter?
1 part
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.10 guide
Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter adds a wireless transmitter with infinite range across all dimensions. If you've ever been annoyed by range limits or by being in a different dimension from your base, this block is meant to remove that problem.[1]
It also comes in color variants, like every other block in Refined Storage. That makes it a good fit if you like keeping your setup tidy and color-coded.[1]
In this pack
The pack includes version 1.21.1-0.1.5 of the mod, built for NeoForge. It has been in the pack since version 2.44 or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the mod list.[2]
Unverified The sources I have don't show any quests that involve this mod, and they don't place it on the ATM Star path. I also couldn't confirm the in-pack recipe, so check the recipe viewer in-game before planning around it. This site does hold FTB Skies 2's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter?
3 parts
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
Good news: this mod is a one-item upgrade, so getting started is short. The Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter gives you wireless network access with infinite range, and it works across dimensions.[1][3]
First, craft the transmitter
The base transmitter is crafted with a shaped crafting recipe. Here is the exact version from this pack:[4]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: interdimensionalwirelesstransmitter:interdimensional_wireless_transmitter
This is the shaped crafting recipe for the base transmitter in this pack.
Then put it to work
The transmitter provides wireless network access for items like the Wireless Grid, with infinite range, and it is cross-dimensional. The mod even has an advancement for transmitting a network signal across dimensions with infinite range.[3]
- Craft the Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter using the recipe above.[4]
- Use it as the wireless source for your network, so wireless items like the Wireless Grid can connect with infinite range and across dimensions.[3]
- Optionally, recolor it to match your base (see below).[1][4]
Optional: pick a color
Like every other block in Refined Storage, the transmitter has color variants, such as Red Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter and Blue Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter. Each color has its own shapeless dyeing recipe. Here is red as an example:[1][4]
Crafting Shapeless
- any interdimensional wireless transmitters
- any red dye
Recipe id: interdimensionalwirelesstransmitter:coloring/red_interdimensional_wireless_transmitter
A shapeless dyeing recipe that turns a transmitter into the red variant.
The light blue dyeing recipe outputs the base Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter rather than a separate light blue item.[4]
How does Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter work?
4 parts
The Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter is a single block, so there is no multiblock to build. It provides wireless network access for items like the Wireless Grid, and it has infinite range and works across dimensions.[1][3]
Crafting it
The pack uses the mod's own recipe for the transmitter, shown below.[5]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: interdimensionalwirelesstransmitter:interdimensional_wireless_transmitter
This is the in-pack recipe for the base transmitter.
Power
The transmitter uses energy, and the amount is set by interdimensionalWirelessTransmitter.energyUsage. In this pack it is 100, the same as the mod default. The option accepts values from 0 up to 9,223,372,036,854,775,807.[3][6]
Colour variants
Like the other blocks in Refined Storage, the transmitter comes in colours. The mod groups all 16 variants, including the plain one, in a single item tag. Each variant has a shapeless dye recipe that takes one matching dye and any transmitter from that tag.[1][5][7]
Crafting Shapeless
- any interdimensional wireless transmitters
- any red dye
Recipe id: interdimensionalwirelesstransmitter:coloring/red_interdimensional_wireless_transmitter
Red is one example, and the other colours use the same kind of recipe with their own dye.
Because any transmitter from the tag counts as the input, you can swap one colour for another with a new dye. In the pack's recipe listing, the light blue dye recipe gives you the plain Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter.[5][7]
Breaking and moving it
The plain transmitter's loot table drops the block itself and copies the custom name from the block, so a renamed transmitter keeps its name when you pick it up.[8]
How do you progress through Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter?
3 parts
There is no tier ladder to climb with this mod. The recipe dump for the pack shows one crafting recipe for the base Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter, plus recolouring recipes. None of the listed recipes upgrade one version into a stronger one.[5]
Getting your first transmitter
The base transmitter is a single shaped crafting recipe, listed in the dump as a mod recipe. Here is the exact in-pack recipe:[5]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: interdimensionalwirelesstransmitter:interdimensional_wireless_transmitter
This is the only recipe in the dump that crafts the base transmitter from scratch.
Recolouring
Once you have one, the other colours come from shapeless crafting recipes. Each one combines a dye of the matching colour with any item from the mod's transmitter tag.[5]
Crafting Shapeless
- any interdimensional wireless transmitters
- any red dye
Recipe id: interdimensionalwirelesstransmitter:coloring/red_interdimensional_wireless_transmitter
Every colour follows the same pattern, just with a different dye.
The colour variants in the pack are Black Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter, Blue Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter, Brown Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter, Cyan Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter, Gray Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter, Green Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter, Light Gray Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter, Lime Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter, Magenta Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter, Orange Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter, Pink Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter, Purple Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter, Red Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter, White Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter and Yellow Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter.[5]
Breaking and moving it
When you break a base transmitter block, it drops itself and keeps any custom name you gave it, so you can pick it up and move it without losing the name.[8]
How does Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter work with other mods?
1 part
This mod connects to one other mod in the pack: Refined Storage. The Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter is a Wireless Transmitter with infinite range across all dimensions, built on top of the Wireless Transmitter.[1][5]
The pack's crafting recipe uses the Refined Storage Wireless Transmitter together with vanilla Minecraft items. Here is the exact in-pack recipe:[5]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: interdimensionalwirelesstransmitter:interdimensional_wireless_transmitter
Color variants
Just like the blocks in Refined Storage, the Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter comes in color variants. The mod lists all of them in a single item tag.[1][7]
Which Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter config options matter?
1 part
The Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter has just one config option that the sources here show, and it lives in the common config file.[6]
Energy usage
interdimensionalWirelessTransmitter.energyUsage is set to 100 in this pack. That is the same as the mod default of 100, so the pack has not changed it.[6]
The option accepts values from 0 up to 9,223,372,036,854,775,807, so you have a lot of room if you want to tune it for your own setup.[6]
What changed in Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter between versions?
1 part
FTB Skies 2 1.23.0 ships Interdimensional Wireless Transmitter version 1.21.1-0.1.5. The mod has been in the pack since FTB Skies 2 1.0.1 or earlier.[9]
Mod changelog
- 1.21.1-0.1.4: bumped the Refined Storage version requirement.[10]
- 1.21.1-0.1.5: fixed a crash with a Refined Storage 2.0.0 beta release. This is the version you get in the pack today.[9][11]
Both listed changes are about keeping the mod working alongside Refined Storage. The changelogs list no new features for these two versions.[10][11]
