What is XyCraft Override?
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.5 guide
XyCraft Override is included in this pack at version 0.7.45, shipped as the file xycraft_override-0.7.45.jar. Its registry namespace is xycraft_override.[1]
It has been part of the pack for a while. It first appeared in version 2.2 of the pack or earlier, so it isn't a recent addition.[1]
Unverified The sources I have only confirm that the mod is in the pack and which version it is. They don't describe what the mod adds, who it's best suited for, or where it fits in the progression, so I'm not going to guess. I also can't confirm any quests involving this mod or a place for it on the ATM Star path.
How do you get started with XyCraft Override?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 1.0.2 guide
XyCraft Override gives you coloured versions of vanilla building blocks in this pack. The shades are blue, dark, green, light and red, and the crafting recipes use a Xychorium gem of the matching colour. That makes the gems your starting point.[2][3]
Your first steps
- Get some Xychorium gems in the shade you want, for example Blue Xychorium Gem. The gems belong to the xycraft_world namespace, not to XyCraft Override.[2]
- Pick a vanilla block to recolour. The pack has coloured versions of bricks, chiseled stone bricks, chiseled sandstone, chiseled deepslate and more, so you can match whatever you are building.[2][3]
- Craft the coloured block. Each of these recipes gives you 2 blocks per craft, so a small stack of vanilla blocks and gems goes a long way.[2]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: xycraft_override:shaped/bricks_blue
A good first craft: it makes 2 Blue Bricks at a time.
The other shades follow the same pattern. Swap the gem colour and you get the matching block, such as Red Bricks or Green Bricks.[2]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: xycraft_override:shaped/chiseled_stone_bricks_green
Chiseled blocks work the same way, here in green, and also give 2 per craft.
How big is the list?
There are 135 shaped crafting recipes that turn vanilla and xycraft_world ingredients into XyCraft Override blocks. They make 130 different results, so you will not run out of colour combinations to try.[2]
Smooth variants
Smooth Polished Tuff and Smooth Smooth Stone have stonecutting recipes rather than crafting table ones. Both are shown below.[2]

How does XyCraft Override work?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 1.0.2 guide
In this pack, the sources for XyCraft Override cover a large set of decorative blocks in blue, dark, green, light and red variants, plus two blocks with connected textures. The sources here describe how those blocks are obtained and what they look like, so that is what this section covers.[2][3]
Color variants
Vanilla-style blocks such as bricks, stone bricks, deepslate tiles, purpur pillars and crying obsidian each come in the same blue, dark, green, light and red variants. Take bricks as an example: Blue Bricks, Dark Bricks, Green Bricks, Light Bricks and Red Bricks.[3]
You craft the colored versions in the crafting grid with a Xychorium Gem of the matching color, and each craft gives you 2 blocks. Here is the Blue Bricks recipe, and the other colors follow the same pattern.[2]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: xycraft_override:shaped/bricks_blue
Each other color of bricks uses the Xychorium Gem of that color.
It's a big family. The pack has 135 shaped crafting recipes that make items from this mod, covering 130 different results. The same pattern shows up on chiseled deepslate, chiseled nether bricks and chiseled polished blackstone, for example Blue Chiseled Deepslate, Red Chiseled Nether Bricks and Green Chiseled Polished Blackstone.[2]
Connected-texture blocks
Smooth Polished Tuff and Smooth Smooth Stone are different from the colored blocks. Their in-game tooltip says "Has connected texture".[3]
You get them from the stonecutter rather than the crafting grid. Each recipe takes the block itself or any block from a related group, and gives you the block back. Here are both recipes.[2]

How do you progress through XyCraft Override?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.5 guide
The sources for this mod show no tier ladder, no stages and no machines. What they show is a set of crafting recipes that turn a base block and a colored gem into a colored version of that block. So "progression" here means collecting gems and deciding when to start decorating.[4]
What the recipes show
Every recipe in the sources is a shaped crafting recipe. The colors are blue, dark, green, light and red. Examples are Blue Bricks, Red Crying Obsidian and Green Chiseled Deepslate.[4]
The color comes from the matching Xychorium Gem, such as Blue Xychorium Gem. That gem has the xycraft_world namespace, so it is not an item of this mod. Getting the gem for your color is the real gate on these blocks.[4]
Example recipes
The stone-type recipes follow one pattern: a vanilla block plus a gem of the color you want. Here is the plain brick variant:[4]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: xycraft_override:shaped/bricks_blue
Vanilla bricks plus a Blue Xychorium Gem give Blue Bricks.
The chiseled wood pillars start from planks instead of a stone-type block. Each color also has a second recipe entry that gives the same pillar.[4]

A Blue Xychorium Gem and any planks give a Blue Chiseled Wood Pillar.
When to get to it
The recipes shown ask only for the base block and the gem, so you can craft these blocks as soon as you have both. That makes this a good mod to use once your base is running and you want it to look better.[4]
Unverified The sources here do not show any quest chapter that involves this mod, and they do not describe any tiers or unlock order for it. If the pack's quest book covers it, that is told in the quest book itself.
How does XyCraft Override work with other mods?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.5 guide
The in-pack connections for this mod are all crafting recipes. Every block you make with XyCraft Override combines a vanilla block (or planks) with a colored Xychorium gem. Those gems come from a different XyCraft mod in the pack, so get your gems first.[4]
Xychorium gems are the key ingredient
The gems come in blue, dark, green, light and red: Blue Xychorium Gem, Dark Xychorium Gem, Green Xychorium Gem, Light Xychorium Gem and Red Xychorium Gem. The gem color decides the color of the block you get. A blue gem gives you the blue version, a red gem gives you the red version, and so on.[4]
Vanilla blocks you can tint
Each of these recipes pairs a vanilla block with a gem of the matching color. Here are the pairings the pack uses.[4]
- Bricks and a gem make Blue Bricks (and the other colors).[4]
- Chiseled Stone Bricks and a gem make Blue Chiseled Stone Bricks (and the other colors).[4]
- Chiseled Sandstone and Chiseled Red Sandstone each have their own tinted versions, such as Green Chiseled Sandstone and Green Chiseled Red Sandstone.[4]
- Chiseled Deepslate and Deepslate Tiles turn into tinted versions such as Dark Chiseled Deepslate and Dark Deepslate Tiles.[4]
- Polished Deepslate (not deepslate bricks) is the base for the tinted deepslate bricks, such as Red Deepslate Bricks.[4]
- Chiseled Nether Bricks, Chiseled Polished Blackstone and End Stone Bricks get the same treatment, for example Light Chiseled Nether Bricks and Light End Stone Bricks.[4]
- Chiseled Tuff and Chiseled Tuff Bricks have tinted versions too, such as Blue Chiseled Tuff and Blue Chiseled Tuff Bricks.[4]
- Crying Obsidian becomes blocks like Green Crying Obsidian.[4]
- Gilded Blackstone becomes blocks like Blue Gilded Blackstone. The recipes in the sources cover blue, dark, green and light for this block, with no red version.[4]

A typical example: a vanilla block plus a matching gem.
Wood pillars use any planks
The chiseled wood pillars are the family that does not start from a vanilla stone-type block. They use a gem plus any planks from the vanilla planks tag, so whatever wood you have on hand works. Each color also has an extra recipe entry (the ones ending in _r) with the same ingredients, so you will see duplicates in recipe viewers.[4]

Unverified No quests in this pack's quest book involve this mod, so the sources here show no quest-based connections. No other mod connections beyond these crafting recipes could be confirmed.
