What is Easy Villagers?

1 part

Easy Villagers is part of the pack, and this guide covers version 1.21.1-1.1.33, the NeoForge build. It has been in the pack since 1.0.1 or earlier, so it isn't a recent addition.[1]

The mod gives you villagers as an item, Villager, plus a set of machine blocks built around them: the Trader, Auto Trader, Farmer, Breeder, Converter, Iron Farm and Incubator.[2]

Where it fits in the pack

The pack's quest book points you to this mod in the "useful_items_tips" chapter. The quest a quest in "?" asks you to get a villager item (the piglin item from Easy Piglins also counts), and then any one of the machines listed above.[2]

That chapter's name suggests the mod is meant as a handy extra rather than a required step. It's a good one to pick up whenever villagers become part of your base.[2]

Unverified I couldn't confirm from the pack files how each machine works, what its recipe is, or whether the pack changed any configs for this mod. Those details are left out until they can be checked. The mod also isn't on the ATM Star quest path.

How do you get started with Easy Villagers?

1 part

Easy Villagers adds a set of crafted machines for working with villagers. In this pack, the sources I have only confirm the recipes for those machines and one quest that points you at them, so this section is short.[2][3]

The quest a quest in "?" in the useful items and tips chapter has two tasks. The first asks you to hold a Villager (an Easy Piglins piglin also counts). The second asks you to hold any one of these: Trader, Auto Trader, Farmer, Breeder, Converter, Iron Farm or Incubator. So you only need to craft one machine to finish it.[2]

Crafting the machines

Every machine is a shaped crafting recipe from the mod, and the recipes below are the exact ones used in this pack. Start with the Trader, since it's the first machine the quest lists.[2][3]

The Auto Trader has its own recipe, and the pack's recipe dump shows it needs a netherite ingot. Check it before you plan your progression.[3]

Unverified I couldn't confirm what each machine does in this pack, how you get your first villager, or whether the pack changed any config values or the quest rewards. There is no in-jar guidebook or lang-file description to check. The order above is only a suggestion based on the quest, not something the pack documents.

How does Easy Villagers work?

4 parts

Same as in the All the Mons 1.3.0 guide

Easy Villagers puts villagers to work in dedicated machine blocks. The sources for this pack are thin on the inner workings, so this section sticks to what they confirm: which machines exist, what their screens are labelled, and how you craft each one.[4]

The machines

The mod adds these blocks: Breeder, Incubator, Converter, Farmer, Iron Farm, Trader and Auto Trader. There is also an Inventory Viewer block.[4]

Villagers exist as items in this mod, in the forms Villager and Baby Villager.[4]

What the screens are labelled

The mod's language file has these screen labels: Villager Input, Villager Output, Input Items, Output Items, Output and Food Items. Villager Equipment and Villager Inventory are labelled as well, and the Inventory Viewer block has its own screen title.[4]

If you use Jade, the mod has Jade plugin entries for the Breeder, the Converter and the Villager.[4]

Controls

The mod has key bindings named Cycle Trades and Pick Up.[4]

Crafting the machines

Every machine is crafted with a shaped recipe that the pack's recipe dump lists as a mod recipe. Here is each one as the pack has it.[5]

Unverified How each machine works in detail is not shown by the sources here: breeding and growth timing, which items count as food, how the Converter and Iron Farm operate, how the Trader and Auto Trader handle trades, and whether hoppers or other pipes can automate any of them. The pack has no config files for this mod, and no in-jar guidebook was found to check.

How do you progress through Easy Villagers?

2 parts

Easy Villagers doesn't have a tier ladder in this pack. Every machine is a single crafting recipe, so you can make any of them whenever you have the materials. The pack's quest line for the mod is also short.[2][3]

The quest

The mod shows up in one quest, a quest in "?", in the "useful_items_tips" chapter. It has two tasks. The first asks for a Villager (a piglin item from the sister mod also counts). The second asks for any one of the machines: Trader, Auto Trader, Farmer, Breeder, Converter, Iron Farm or Incubator.[2]

The second task takes any single machine, so the quest never forces you to pick a particular one. Craft whichever fits the base you are building.[2]

In-pack recipes

All of these are shaped crafting recipes, and the blocks below show the exact in-pack versions. Each one uses glass panes and iron ingots in some form, and the item tags accept any matching variant.[3]

Tip: Compare the Trader and Auto Trader recipes side by side before you plan your materials. The Auto Trader asks for more than the basic Trader does.[3]

Unverified The sources don't show quest rewards, a recommended build order, or any config changes for these machines. Treat any suggested order of progression as unconfirmed.

How does Easy Villagers work with other mods?

1 part

There isn't much cross-mod content to show for Easy Villagers here. The one link I can confirm is a quest in the "useful_items_tips" chapter.[2]

The useful_items_tips quest

Quest a quest in "?" has two tasks. The first accepts a Villager as one option. The other option is an item from a different mod, and I can't confirm that item exists in this pack, so I'm not linking it. The second task accepts any one of these Easy Villagers machines:[2]

Both tasks take an either-or choice, so the Villager plus any one of the machines above matches what each task lists.[2]

Unverified No in-pack crafting recipes combining Easy Villagers items with items from other mods were found, so any recipe link with another mod is unconfirmed.

Which FTB Skies 2 quests use Easy Villagers?

Only one quest in this pack involves Easy Villagers, and it sits in the "useful_items_tips" chapter. It's an untitled quest, referenced here as a quest in "?".[2]

The quest has two item tasks. The first asks for a Villager, and it also accepts the Piglin item (easy_piglins:piglin) as an alternative.[2]

The second task accepts any one of these Easy Villagers machines:[2]

Since this is the only quest that touches the mod, there's no sequence of chapters to follow. You can pick whichever machine you like for the second task.[2]

Unverified The quest's rewards, its prerequisites, and whether both tasks must be completed together are not shown in the available quest data, so they are unverified.
