What is Easy Villagers?
2 parts
Easy Villagers adds villagers as items you can carry, plus a set of machines built around them. This pack ships Easy Villagers 1.1.33 for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge, and it has been included since version 1.0.1 or earlier.[1]
What you get
The mod's registry has a Villager item and seven machines: the Trader, Auto Trader, Farmer, Breeder, Converter, Iron Farm and Incubator.[2]
Where it fits in the pack
The pack points you to this mod in its "useful_items_tips" quest chapter. The quest a quest in "?" asks you to hand in a villager item, then any one of the machines above. It is a good sign that the pack wants you to try this mod early rather than treat it as an extra.[2]
Unverified The sources I have do not describe what each machine does, how they are crafted in this pack, or whether the pack changes any configs or recipes. They also say nothing about this mod's place on the ATM Star path, so check those in-game before relying on them.
How do you get started with Easy Villagers?
3 parts
Easy Villagers turns villagers into items you can carry and put to work in machines. The sources I have for this pack are thin, so this section sticks to what the pack's own files confirm.[2][3]
Step 1: Make a Trader
The Trader is the first machine with a recipe in the pack's recipe dump, so it's the natural place to start. Here is the exact in-pack recipe:[3]
Crafting Shaped
| any colorless glass panes | any colorless glass panes | any colorless glass panes |
| any colorless glass panes | any redstone dust | any colorless glass panes |
| any iron ingot | any iron ingot | any iron ingot |
Recipe id: easy_villagers:trader
Step 2: Upgrade to the Auto Trader
Once you have a Trader, the Auto Trader is the next machine to aim for. It has its own separate recipe in this pack:[3]
Crafting Shaped
| any colorless glass panes | any colorless glass panes | any colorless glass panes |
| any colorless glass panes | any redstone dust | any colorless glass panes |
| any iron ingot | any netherite ingot | any iron ingot |
Recipe id: easy_villagers:auto_trader
The quest to look out for
The quest a quest in "?" in the "useful_items_tips" chapter ties this together. It asks you to have a Villager item, plus any one of these machines: the Trader, Auto Trader, Farmer, Breeder, Converter, Iron Farm or Incubator. A Trader is the machine with a recipe I can show you, so it's the easiest way to finish it.[2][3]
Unverified I couldn't confirm from the pack's files how to turn a villager into an item, what each machine does, or how to craft the Farmer, Breeder, Converter, Iron Farm or Incubator. Check those in-game with the recipe viewer before you plan around them. This site does hold FTB Skies 2's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How does Easy Villagers work?
2 parts
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
The sources I have for Easy Villagers in this pack only cover crafting. They show the Trader and the Auto Trader, and both are made with shaped crafting recipes that the pack lists as mod recipes.[4]
Trader
Crafting Shaped
| any colorless glass panes | any colorless glass panes | any colorless glass panes |
| any colorless glass panes | any redstone dust | any colorless glass panes |
| any iron ingot | any iron ingot | any iron ingot |
Recipe id: easy_villagers:trader
This is the shaped crafting recipe for the Trader in this pack.
Auto Trader
Crafting Shaped
| any colorless glass panes | any colorless glass panes | any colorless glass panes |
| any colorless glass panes | any redstone dust | any colorless glass panes |
| any iron ingot | any netherite ingot | any iron ingot |
Recipe id: easy_villagers:auto_trader
This is the shaped crafting recipe for the Auto Trader in this pack.
Compare the recipe blocks above: the Auto Trader's recipe is not identical to the Trader's, so you cannot make one by simply repeating the other.[4]
Unverified How the Trader and Auto Trader actually work is not shown by the sources here. That covers how villagers are placed in them, how trades are chosen or automated, and how they connect to hoppers or pipes. Power and fluid use are not covered either, and the pack has no config files for this mod. Check these in-game before you build around them.
How do you progress through Easy Villagers?
2 parts
Easy Villagers has only one quest in this pack, and it sits in the useful items and tips chapter rather than on a main progression line. It's a small checkpoint, not a full tier ladder.[2]
The quest
The quest a quest in "?" has two tasks. The first is to get a Villager as an item. The second accepts any one of these machines: Trader, Auto Trader, Farmer, Breeder, Converter, Iron Farm or Incubator.[2]
Because the second task takes any one machine, you don't need all seven. The cheapest one you can build is enough, and the pack's recipes show two of them below.[2][3]
Recipes confirmed in this pack
The pack has its own crafting recipe for the Trader. It's a shaped recipe, and it accepts any redstone dust, colorless glass pane and iron ingot from the common tags, so modded variants should work.[3]
Crafting Shaped
| any colorless glass panes | any colorless glass panes | any colorless glass panes |
| any colorless glass panes | any redstone dust | any colorless glass panes |
| any iron ingot | any iron ingot | any iron ingot |
Recipe id: easy_villagers:trader
The Auto Trader is also a shaped crafting recipe, and it uses the same kind of tag-based ingredients.[3]
Unverified The recipes for the Farmer, Breeder, Converter, Iron Farm and Incubator, and how you obtain the Villager item, are not in the sources for this pack, so they are unconfirmed here. Check them in-game with a recipe viewer before planning around them. This site does hold FTB Skies 2's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How does Easy Villagers work with other mods?
2 parts
Easy Villagers has only one confirmed link to another mod in this pack. It runs through Modern Industrialization and Ender IO, and the pack added it with a script.[3]
Deep Mob Binder recipe
The Modern Industrialization Deep Mob Binder has a pack-added recipe that uses the Villager item together with an enderio:empty_soul_vial. It produces an enderio:filled_soul_vial and a regular Minecraft villager. This is a pack change, so you won't find it in the mods' default content.[3]

Quests
In the "useful_items_tips" chapter, quest a quest in "?" asks you to hold a Villager and one of the Easy Villagers machines. The machines it accepts are the Trader, Auto Trader, Farmer, Breeder, Converter, Iron Farm and Incubator. Every task in it uses Easy Villagers items only, so it isn't a cross-mod quest.[2]
Unverified No other recipes or quests combining Easy Villagers items with items from other mods were found in the pack data, so any further integrations are unconfirmed.
Which FTB Skies 2 quests use Easy Villagers?
1 part
Easy Villagers shows up in just one quest in this pack. It sits in the "useful_items_tips" chapter, so it's a handy tip quest rather than a long questline.[2]
The useful_items_tips quest
The quest a quest in "?" has no title in the quest file, but it has two tasks. First, you need to have a Villager item. Second, you need to have any one of the mod's villager machines.[2]
The second task accepts any of these, so you only need one:[2]
Unverified The quest's reward, its position in the chapter, and any quest it depends on are not shown in the available quest data, so I can't say what comes before or after it.
