What is Nullscape?
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.2 guide
Nullscape transforms the vanilla End into an alien dimension with surreal terrain, plus a couple of new biomes. It keeps the End barren and bleak, so expect a lonely trip, just you against the void.[1]
It raises the End's height to 384 blocks and uses the modern worldgen features from 1.18 to build very varied terrain. You can find shattered islands, floating valleys and crystallized peaks. Different regions of the End have different properties on very large scales, from sponge-like porous terrain to stretched alien landscapes to stacked rounded islands. The further you travel, the more new shapes you'll find.[1]
This version of the pack includes Nullscape 1.2.14. It has been in the pack since version 0.58 or earlier.[2]
How do you get started with Nullscape?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Nullscape is a world generation mod, so your first steps with it are about exploring the End rather than crafting. It transforms the vanilla End into an alien dimension with surreal terrain and a couple of new biomes, while keeping the End desolate.[1]
Before you head to the End
- Use a fresh world, or reset your End first. The mod's notes say not to add it to an existing End, so an End you have already generated won't give you the new terrain.[1]
- Don't mix it with other End worldgen mods. The mod is not compatible with the majority of them, and the only exception its page names is Better End.[1]
- Optionally, look at your seed in the Minecraft Datapack Map. The mod's page recommends it for viewing the structures and biomes per seed, which helps you plan where to go.[1]
What to expect when you arrive
The mod raises the End's height to 384 blocks and uses 1.18's modern worldgen features for varied terrain. You can find shattered islands, floating valleys and crystallized peaks.[1]
Different regions of the End, on very large scales, have different properties. That means sponge-like porous terrain, stretched alien landscapes and stacked rounded islands. The further you travel, the more new shapes you'll see.[1]
Unverified This pack has no quests for Nullscape and no recipes that produce its items, so there is no confirmed list of items to craft first. How the pack sets up the End for you (for example, whether it needs a reset) is also not confirmed here, so follow the notes above if your End was already generated.
How does Nullscape work?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.10.0-beta guide
Nullscape is a world generation mod, so its "mechanics" are about how it reshapes the End rather than machines or power. It transforms the vanilla End into an alien dimension with surreal terrain, adds a couple of new biomes, and keeps the End desolate. The sources here don't describe any machines, multiblocks or automation for it.[1]
Terrain
Nullscape boosts the End's height to 384 blocks and uses modern 1.18 worldgen features to generate very varied terrain. You can run into shattered islands, floating valleys and crystallized peaks. Different regions of the End, on very large scales, have different properties, so you get things like sponge-like porous terrain, stretched alien landscapes and stacked rounded islands.[1]
The biomes
The biome files available here (Crystal Peaks, Shadowlands and Void Barrens) share the same fog color, water fog color and a sky color of 0. None of them has precipitation, and each lists the end gateway return feature.[3][4][5]
- Crystal Peaks: has ambient falling obsidian tear particles (probability 0.01) and an amethyst chime ambient sound. Its terrain feature is the crystal feature. Only endermen spawn here, in groups of 4 (weight 10).[3]
- Shadowlands: has a temperature of 2 and a downfall of 0, with ash particles (probability 0.08). Its features include shadow cuts, blackstone, basalt, bone trees, droops, pillars, vegetation and coral pillars. Endermen spawn in groups of 4 (weight 10), and phantoms spawn singly (weight 5) with a spawn cost of 0.12 energy budget and 1 charge.[4]
- Void Barrens: the plainest of these biomes, with only an ambient cave mood sound and no feature list beyond the gateway return. Only endermen spawn here, in groups of 4 (weight 10).[5]
Boneyard pillars and fires
The mod's data also contains boneyard features. The pillars feature picks randomly between four pillar variants: pillar 1 with a 0.2 chance, pillar 2 with 0.4, pillar 3 with 0.3, and pillar 4 as the default. Pillar 1 is a single obsidian block, and pillar 3 scatters obsidian onto air that sits above obsidian, end stone or air.[6][7][8]
Smooth basalt patches in the boneyard come in a dense version and a "more" version. The dense one lays smooth basalt 3 deep and mostly places soul fire (0.965 chance) on smooth basalt or soul sand, otherwise growing a bone tree. The "more" version lays a 1 deep patch with a 0.25 vegetation chance, building smooth basalt columns that are topped by soul fire only very rarely (weight 1 against 2,000 for smooth basalt). A separate boneyard feature places plain fire.[9][10][11]
Chorus plants are also generated by dedicated features, including one for the mountain terrain.[12][13]
How do you progress through Nullscape?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.10.0-beta guide
Nullscape is a worldgen mod, so don't expect a ladder of tiers to climb. What the mod's own data files show is a set of biomes with their own mobs, particles and generated features, and I'll walk you through what those files confirm.[3][4][5]
Unverified The sources here show no quest chapter and no in-pack recipe tied to Nullscape, so no tier order or unlock path for it is confirmed. If the pack's quest book mentions it, that is where you would find the order.
The biomes you can meet
- Crystal Peaks: it generates the nullscape crystal feature. Falling obsidian tear particles drift through it and an amethyst chime plays now and then. Endermen spawn here with a weight of 10, in groups of 4.[3]
- Shadowlands: it has ash particles and a spawn list with phantoms (weight 5, one at a time) and endermen (weight 10, groups of 4). Its features include shadow cuts, blackstone, basalt, bone trees, drooping shapes, pillars and vegetation.[4]
- Void Barrens: this is the plainest of the three. Its only listed feature is the end gateway return, its only listed spawn is the enderman (weight 10, groups of 4), and its ambient sound is the cave mood.[5]
Other generated features
The mod has a group of boneyard features. One of them places a single obsidian block as a pillar piece. A random selector picks between four pillar features: pillar_1 at 0.2 chance, pillar_2 at 0.4, pillar_3 at 0.3, and pillar_4 as the fallback. Only pillar_1 is confirmed to be obsidian here, so I can't tell you what the other pillars are made of. A separate boneyard feature places plain fire.[6][8][9]
The mod also contains chorus plant features and a calcite delta feature. The delta is 6 to 7 blocks in size, with a rim of 1 to 2.[12][13][14]
What changed in Nullscape between versions?
1 part
Nullscape is in FTB Evolution 2 1.1.0 at version 1.2.20. It was already in the pack as of 1.0.2 or earlier, so you have had it for a while.[15]
Nullscape 1.2.20
- Fixed an issue where rifts would create overlapping end gateways. This is the only change listed in the mod's changelog for this version.[16]
That is the one release note the sources here give for this mod, so I won't make claims about earlier versions.[15][16]

Items and blocks
We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as nullscape, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
