What is Refined Types?
2 parts
Refined Types is an addon for Refined Storage. It adds support for FE, Source and Souls in various Refined Storage components, so you can store, transfer, view and autocraft them like you would items.[1]
Supported resource types
- FE (energy).[1]
- Source, from Ars Nouveau.[1]
- Souls, from Industrial Foregoing Souls.[1]
- Mana from Botania is listed on the project page as planned, so it is not something to count on.[1]
In this pack
The pack ships Refined Types 26.1.2-1.0.0, and it has been in the pack since version 0.2.1 or earlier.[2]
Unverified The quest sources here show no quest chapter, group or position for this mod, and nothing that ties it to the ATM Star path. If you want to know whether the quest book covers it, check the quest book in game.
How do you get started with Refined Types?
5 parts
Refined Types is a Refined Storage addon. It lets your storage network handle FE, Source from Ars Nouveau and Souls from Industrial Foregoing Souls. In this pack, the recipes I can confirm are all for the energy side, so that's where you start.[1][3]
First, make your energy storage part
Everything begins with the lowest tier, the 64K Energy Storage Part. The pack adds its own crafting recipe for it, so check this one rather than any recipe you remember from the mod's defaults.[3]

The part matters beyond this first craft. Disks and blocks can be upgraded to a higher tier by combining them with a part, and an empty one gives its part back when you use it while holding it.[4]
Next, craft an energy storage disk
Next, make the 64K Energy Storage Disk. The mod's own advancement for this stage asks you to craft an Energy Storage Disk and put it in your Disk Drive, which is exactly what you want to do. The disk stores FE for your Refined Storage network.[3][4]

Then add the Network Energizer
The Network Energizer automatically consumes stored energy from Energy Disks in your network to keep the network running. Craft it once you have a disk with some FE in it.[3][4]

Scale up when you need to
The mod has a chain of higher tiers, from 256K up through 8388608K, each with its own part, disk and block. The pack has its own recipe for each tier, and you can pull them up one at a time as you need more room. A good next step is the 256K Energy Storage Disk.[3]

Recipe id: kubejs:kjs/refinedtypes_256k_energy_storage_disk
Prefer a block over a disk? Blocks work the same way, and an empty one returns its Energy Storage Part and Machine Casing when you use it while holding it. The 64K Energy Storage Block is the entry point.[3][4]

The endgame: infinite energy storage
The pack adds Infinite Energy Storage items that store an infinite amount of FE: the Infinite Energy Storage Part, the Infinite Energy Storage Disk and the Infinite Energy Storage Block. The pack has its own recipe for each, shown below, so save these for later.[3][4]

How does Refined Types work?
5 parts
Refined Types is a Refined Storage addon. It lets several Refined Storage components handle FE, Source (from Ars Nouveau) and Souls (from Industrial Foregoing Souls), covering storage, transfer, viewing and autocrafting. Mana from Botania is listed as planned, not as supported.[1]
Storing energy in your network
The core idea is simple: you craft an Energy Storage Disk and put it in your Disk Drive. The same pattern exists for Source and Soul disks.[4]
Energy storage comes as a Part, a Disk and a Block. The disk and block tooltips tell you how much FE they store.[4]
- An empty disk can be used while holding it to give back its Energy Storage Part.[4]
- An empty block can be used while holding it to give back its Energy Storage Part and a Machine Casing.[4]
- Both can be upgraded to a higher tier by combining them with an Energy Storage Part.[4]
Energy storage tiers
In this pack the energy tiers are named 64K, 256K, 1024K, 8192K, 65536K, 262144K, 1048576K and 8388608K, plus an Infinite tier. Examples are the 64K Energy Storage Disk and the 8388608K Energy Storage Block. Each tier has a Part, a Disk and a Block. The pack adds a KubeJS crafting recipe for every one of the numbered items, so check the recipe viewer for the exact layout of the tier you want.[3][4]
The Infinite Energy Storage Disk and Infinite Energy Storage Block store an infinite amount of FE. In this pack, the Infinite Part, Disk and Block are all made through the Meteoric Infusion ritual from Occultism instead of normal crafting.[3][4]

Network Energizer
The Network Energizer automatically consumes stored energy from the Energy Disks in your network to maintain it.[4]
It has a redstone mode. While the device is inactive, the storage network does not consume any energy from Energy Disks to sustain itself.[4]

Source and Soul storage
Source and Soul work the same way as energy. Each has its own Storage Part, Disk and Block. Disks and blocks can be returned when empty and upgraded by combining them with a Part of the matching type.[4]
Source block tiers are named in B, from 64B up to 8388608B, and there is also an Infinite Source Storage Block.[4]
Creative variants
The mod also has creative versions of the energy, Source and Soul disks and blocks. They come with an infinite amount already stored.[4]
Unverified The mod has per-tier energy usage options for the Energy Storage Blocks and per-tier source usage options for the Source Storage Blocks. The pack ships no config file for this mod that the sources here show, so the values of those options are unconfirmed.
How do you progress through Refined Types?
3 parts
Refined Types adds higher-capacity energy storage for your Refined Storage network, and this pack puts every one of its recipes behind its own scripts. The tiers come in a Part, a Disk and a Block form, and there is also a Network Energizer. Nothing here is a vanilla-style default recipe: the dump shows each one as added by the pack.[3]
The tier ladder
Going by the item names, the tiers climb in this order. Each one has a Part, a Disk and a Block, and each is a separate pack recipe.[3]
- Entry tier: 64K Energy Storage Part, 64K Energy Storage Disk and 64K Energy Storage Block.[3]
- Next: the 256K set, starting with 256K Energy Storage Part, then the 1024K set, starting with 1024K Energy Storage Part.[3]
- Mid-to-high tiers: 8192K Energy Storage Part, 65536K Energy Storage Part and 262144K Energy Storage Part, each with a matching Disk and Block.[3]
- Top numbered tiers: 1048576K Energy Storage Part and 8388608K Energy Storage Part, again with a Disk and a Block each.[3]
- Final tier: Infinite Energy Storage Part, Infinite Energy Storage Disk and Infinite Energy Storage Block.[3]
Crafting the numbered tiers
Every numbered tier is crafted with a shaped recipe added by the pack's KubeJS scripts, and the same goes for the Network Energizer. Rather than list ingredients, here are the in-pack recipes for the entry tier and the energizer. The other numbered tiers follow the same pattern with their own recipes.[3]

The Infinite tier is a ritual
The last step is different. The Infinite Part, Disk and Block are not crafted on a grid. The pack adds them as Occultism rituals under the name meteoric infusion, so you'll need to get into Occultism to finish this line.[3]

Unverified The exact capacity of each tier, the ingredients feeding each step, and any relationship between the Part, Disk and Block recipes are not confirmed by the sources for this section. Check the rendered recipes above or in-game before planning around them. This site does hold All the Mods 11's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How does Refined Types work with other mods?
2 parts
The clearest link between Refined Types and another mod in this pack is Occultism. The pack adds Meteoric Infusion rituals that produce the mod's infinite energy storage items. These recipes are added by the pack, not mod defaults, so you won't find them in Refined Types on its own.[3]
- Infinite Energy Storage Block is made with an Occultism ritual, using Meteoric Infusion.[3]
- Infinite Energy Storage Disk is made with the same Meteoric Infusion ritual.[3]
- Infinite Energy Storage Part is also made with the Meteoric Infusion ritual.[3]

What the mod supports on its own
Refined Types is a Refined Storage addon. Its project page says it adds FE, Source (from Ars Nouveau) and Souls (from Industrial Foregoing Souls) to various Refined Storage components, so you can store, transfer, view and autocraft them. Botania Mana is listed as planned, not as supported.[1]
What changed in Refined Types between versions?
1 part
Here's what the sources tell us about Refined Types across the pack's releases. All the Mods 11 0.8.0-beta ships with Refined Types 26.1.2-1.0.0. The mod has been in the pack for a long time: it was first included in All the Mods 11 0.2.1 or earlier.[2]
Refined Types 26.1.2-1.0.0
- This release is a port to 26.1.2.[5]
- Support for Ars Nouveau and Industrial Foregoing Souls was removed, because those mods hadn't been ported yet. If you were counting on those integrations, they are not part of this version.[5]
Unverified The pack's own changelogs have no entries for this mod, so changes made to it between individual pack releases can't be confirmed.
