What is Iron's Gems 'n Jewelry?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 5.5 guide
Iron's Gems 'n Jewelry is all about jewelcrafting. You build modular pieces of jewelry by combining patterns with materials, then wear them for bonuses. The mod advertises more than 10,000 possible jewelry combinations and 7 new gemstone items to hunt down.[1]
This pack runs version 1.21.1-1.6.0 of the mod.[2]
How jewelcrafting works
Everything happens at the Jewelcrafting Station block. You pick a pattern, and that pattern decides what kind of bonus the piece gives, such as bonus Attributes. The materials you use decide which specific bonus you get, and their quality decides how strong it is. More precious gems make more powerful jewelry.[1]
You know some patterns from the start. You unlock the rest by finding or trading for Artisan Scrolls, so exploring pays off here.[1]
The Jeweler villager
The mod adds a new villager profession. Villagers that take a Jewelcrafting Station become Jewelers. They buy and sell materials, sell finished jewelry, and sell advanced patterns, so they're a handy shortcut if you'd rather trade than loot.[1]
Who it's for
If you like tinkering with gear, collecting things and fine-tuning your stats, this mod is for you. It's also very datadriven, and datapacks and addons can expand its content.[1]
Unverified The sources don't show where this mod fits in the pack's overall progression, and they don't confirm any pack-specific changes to its recipes or configs.
How do you get started with Iron's Gems 'n Jewelry?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.8.0-beta guide
Welcome to Iron's Gems 'n Jewelry! This mod is all about modular jewelry: you pick a pattern, pick materials for each part, and the combination decides what the piece does. The good news is the first steps are short, and you only need two items to get going.[1]
First, craft the guide
Start with Jewelcrafting and You. It's the mod's in-game guide to Gems 'n Jewelry, and its pattern screen lets you select a part for more info. Since the pack has no other guidebook for this mod, this is your best reference while you play.[3][4]

Next, craft the Jewelcrafting Station
Next, make the Jewelcrafting Station. This is the block where all jewelry gets crafted from a pattern, so nothing else in the mod works without it.[1][3]

Villagers use this block too. A Jeweler works at a Jewelcrafting Station, buys and sells materials, sells finished jewelry, and sells more advanced patterns.[1]
Then craft your first pieces
Some patterns are learned by default, so you can start crafting at the station right away. Others are locked until you find an Artisan Scroll by looting or trading. The guide tells you when a pattern is unlocked by default and can be crafted immediately at the station.[1][4]
When you build a piece, remember how the parts work. Each pattern gives a type of bonus, the materials decide the specific bonus, and the quality of the materials decides how strong it is. One part is the primary part, and it sets the quality of the whole piece, scaling the potency of all its bonuses.[1][4]
Finally, hunt for more patterns
Once you've tried the starter patterns, go looking for more. Most patterns can be found or traded for throughout the world, with a few exceptions. The Haggler Ring pattern is traded for from Jewelers, and the Piglin Signet Ring pattern is found in Nether Fortresses and Bastions.[4]
How does Iron's Gems 'n Jewelry work?
6 parts
Iron's Gems 'n Jewelry is about building modular jewelry, not running machines. You pick a pattern, choose materials for each part, and craft the result at one block: the Jewelcrafting Station. The mod advertises 10,000+ modular jewelry combinations and 7 new obtainable gemstone items, and it needs Curios API to run.[1]
The Jewelcrafting Station
Jewelry items are crafted from a pattern at the Jewelcrafting Station block. Villagers who take the Jeweler profession work at the same station. If you break the station, it drops itself.[1][5]

Patterns, materials and quality
Each pattern gives a type of bonus, such as bonus attributes. The materials you use decide the specific bonus, and the quality of those materials decides how strong it is. The more precious the gems, the more powerful the piece.[1]
Every piece has a primary part. That part determines the quality of the entire piece of jewelry, and when a material is used as the primary part, the potency of all the bonuses is scaled by that material's quality value. In the guide book's screen you can select a part to see more info about it.[4]
Bonus types the mod's language file describes:[4]
- Effect immunity: grants immunity to a given effect.[4]
- Effect on hit: when you are hit, you gain an effect for a number of seconds.[4]
- On projectile hit: triggers an effect when your projectile hits.[4]
- Piglin neutral: makes Piglins neutral.[4]
- Trade discount: discounts items when trading.[4]
Item tooltips list the applicable materials for a part and a header for the bonuses you get when the piece is crafted.[4]
Learning patterns with Artisan Scrolls
Some patterns are known to you from the start. Others must be unlocked by looting or trading for an Artisan Scroll, which the mod calls an Artisan Scroll. The scroll's description tells you whether a pattern is locked or unlocked by default, and the tooltip warns you when a pattern is already learned.[1][4]
The pattern descriptions in the mod tell you where to look. Several patterns, such as the bane ring, the barbed band and the tearstone ring, can be found or traded for throughout the world. The haggler ring pattern can be traded for from Jewelers, and the piglin signet ring pattern can be found in Nether Fortresses and Bastions.[4]
Where scrolls, gems and jewelry turn up
The mod ships loot modifiers that add scrolls to other loot, each gated by a random chance. In the data files the chances are 0.125 for the generic pattern loot, 0.5 for the library pattern loot, 0.08 for the nether pattern loot and 0.25 for the nether treasure pattern loot. Piglin bartering also has a scroll entry that uses the nether-lootable patterns.[7][8][9][10][11]
Finished jewelry can also be looted: the jewelry injection adds a ring with weight 3 and a necklace with weight 1. A separate generic gem loot modifier has a random chance of 0.35 to add gems.[12][13]
Village jeweler chests can hold Artisan Scrolls, rings, necklaces, emeralds, bread and gold ingots, plus some gems.[14]
Jewelers
Jewelers buy and sell materials, sell finished pieces of jewelry, and sell the secrets of more advanced patterns. The mod's trade tables include a basic pattern sale and an advanced pattern sale, each using its own pattern tag.[1][15][16]
The guide book
Jewelcrafting and You is the mod's own in-game guide, described as a guide to Gems 'n Jewelry. It has a recipe, and a second recipe that makes 2 copies.[4][6]

How do you progress through Iron's Gems 'n Jewelry?
3 parts
Iron's Gems 'n Jewelry gives you a few clear starting points in this pack: a station to craft at, a guide book, and loot that hands out patterns and gems. Here is what you can rely on.[6][14]
Step one: the Jewelcrafting Station
Everything starts at the Jewelcrafting Station. When you break it, it drops itself, so you can pick it up and move it.[5][6]

Ring patterns the mod ships with
The mod's own test loot tables generate rings from these patterns: simple_band, gemset_ring, improved_gemset_ring and superior_gemset_ring. A second test table pins the metal to gold and the gem to either ruby or diamond. There are also material tags for emerald and gold.[17][18][19][20]
Finding patterns and gems in loot
Patterns come as recipe items found in loot. The village jeweler chest can hold a recipe item for a pattern from the generic_lootable tag. It can also hold ready-made rings (simple_band or gemset_ring patterns) and necklaces (simple_chain or simple_amulet patterns). Alongside those you can find emeralds, bread, gold ingots and a stack of gems from the lootable_gems tag.[14]
The mod's generic pattern loot file gives a 0.125 chance of a recipe item. It picks from generic_lootable with weight 3 and from the better high_quality_lootable tag with weight 1, so the higher-quality patterns are the rarer find.[7]
The generic gem loot file works the same way for gems. It has a 0.35 chance of giving gems from the lootable_gems tag.[13]
Unverified The sources here show no quests for this mod, and it is not on the ATM Star quest path, so there is no quest-guided tier order to follow. Exactly where the other loot modifiers apply (library, nether, nether treasure, piglin barter and wealthy gem loot) is set in the mod's data files, which the sources here do not show.
