What is XyCraft Machines?
XyCraft Machines is part of the pack. This pack ships version 0.7.45 (the file xycraft_machines-0.7.45.jar), and the mod has been in the pack since version 0.32 or earlier.[1]
Unverified I couldn't confirm what the mod does or who it is aimed at. The sources I have are only the pack's mod list, with no guidebook or platform description. I also couldn't confirm any recipes, configs or progression details, so I'm not guessing at them here.
Unverified No quests in this pack involve the mod, and it isn't on the ATM Star quest path. That is based on what I was told about this mod rather than on a source I can cite, so check it in-game if it matters to you.
How do you get started with XyCraft Machines?
5 parts
Welcome to XyCraft Machines! Several of this mod's recipes use the same block, the Machine Base, so that is where to start. The recipe blocks below show the exact in-pack recipes, so check them before you gather materials.[2]
First: Machine Base
Start with the Machine Base. The Fabricator, Item IO, Valve, Light Field, Accelerated Planter, Fluid Void, Ignition Plate and Water Block recipes all use it, so make a few before anything else.[2]

Next: Ports
Next come the port blocks. The Item Port is used in the Buffer, Collector, Item IO and Soaryn Box recipes. The Fluid Port is used in the Valve and Hydro Pump recipes. Both recipes are shapeless, so you can place the ingredients anywhere in the crafting grid.[2]

Then: Extractor
The Extractor extracts items and fluids out of the environment. In this pack it also has a machine recipe that turns leaves and logs into Resin, which makes it a handy early machine to build.[2][3]

Automate your crafting
Once you have a Machine Base, build the Fabricator. It crafts items automatically, which saves you a lot of clicking later. The Item IO is the next block to make: its fill or drain side can be toggled with a wrench.[2][3]

Fluids and tanks
When you want to work with fluids, the Valve allows the creation of tanks. The Hydro Pump then automatically pumps water into a connected tank. Its recipe also needs a Water Block, so the Water Block recipe is shown below too.[2][3]

How does XyCraft Machines work?
6 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.5 guide
XyCraft Machines is built from a few simple pieces: a Machine Base that many machines are crafted from, ports that handle items and fluids, and single-purpose machines. What the mod's tooltips and the pack's recipes confirm is covered here. Power, multiblocks and automation are not explained in depth by them.[3][4]
Machine Base and ports
The Machine Base is the starting point for many machines in this pack, including the Fabricator, Fluid Void, Ignition Plate, Item IO, Light Field, Accelerated Planter, Valve and Water Block. Craft it first.[4]

Ports are the building blocks for item and fluid handling. The Item Port is used in the Buffer, Collector, Item IO and Soaryn Box recipes. The Fluid Port is used in the Hydro Pump and Valve recipes.[4]

Item handling
- Collector: filterable, and it collects items before they become entities.[3][4]
- Extractor: extracts items and fluids out of the environment.[3][4]
- Fabricator: crafts items automatically.[3][4]
- Item IO: its fill or drain side can be toggled with a wrench.[3][4]
- Void Container: a contained black hole that can be used to void things.[3][4]

Fluid handling
The Valve is what allows you to create tanks. The Hydro Pump automatically pumps water into a connected tank, and it can be extracted from at a higher rate. Its tooltip shows a base rate per cycle and a separate waterlogged rate per cycle.[3][4]

The Fluid Void stops fluids from flowing into adjacent blocks.[3][4]
The mod also has a Fluid Selector that creates an unlimited amount of a fluid, and an Item Selector that creates an unlimited amount of items.[3]
Processing recipes
The pack's recipes show that the mod has its own processing recipe types: the Ark Melter, the Atmospheric Vacuum and the Blender. Here are some of the recipes they run.[4]
Ark Melter (xycraft_machines)
- 100× any water
Recipe id: xycraft_machines:ark_melter/steam
An Ark Melter recipe that turns water into steam.
Atmospheric Vacuum (xycraft_machines)
Recipe id: xycraft_machines:atmospheric_vacuum/nitrogen
An Atmospheric Vacuum recipe that makes nitrogen and needs no item inputs.
Blender (xycraft_machines)
50× Heavy Oil Residue
- 100× any water
Recipe id: xycraft_machines:blender/fuel
A Blender recipe that makes fuel.
Utility machines
- Light Field: prevents spawns in a cubed volume.[3][4]
- Illumination Field: illuminates a volume of area.[3]
- Charger: charges items using external energy.[3]
Modular tools
The tooltips describe modules for modular tools. Area Survey unlocks a toggleable 3x3 mining ability. The Fortune module provides Fortune I and the Looting module provides Looting I. The Prospector specializes a tool with Fortune VII and the Hunter specializes a weapon for Looting VII. The Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3 mining modules improve mining speed, considerably and then drastically for the higher tiers.[3]
The pack changes the smithing recipe for the Perfected Gauntlet, which is made from the Improved Gauntlet.[4]

Unverified Power requirements, multiblock shapes, machine speeds, tank capacities and the exact pump rates are not shown by the sources used here (no in-jar guidebook and no config files for this mod), so check them in-game before relying on them.
How do you progress through XyCraft Machines?
5 parts
Unverified No quests in this pack involve this mod, and it is not on the ATM Star quest path. That means there is no quest-driven order to follow. The progression below is built only from the in-pack recipes, and the pack's recipes do not label any machine with a numbered tier.
Step 1: Machine Base and ports
Almost everything in this mod grows out of two kinds of building blocks. The first is the Machine Base, which is the frame for most of the machines. The second is the ports, which are the part that connects a machine to items or fluids. Aluminum and items from the kivi tag turn up all over the early recipes, so get a steady supply of both before you start.[2]

Recipe id: xycraft_machines:shapeless/port_fluid
Step 2: Simple storage and logistics
Once you have an Item Port, you can make a few early blocks right away. The Buffer and the Soaryn Box both need one. The Collector needs one too, but it also asks for ender pearls and xychorium, so it comes a bit later.[2]
The Item IO needs both a Machine Base and an Item Port. The Valve is the fluid counterpart, built from a Machine Base and a Fluid Port.[2]
Step 3: Machine Base machines
Next come the machines that all use a Machine Base together with an xychorium gem and a kivi item. Each one adds its own extra part:[2]
- Fabricator uses a crafting table and a chest.[2]
- Light Field uses glowstone, cheap glass and a light dye.[2]
- Fluid Void uses a bucket, iron bars and a dark dye.[2]
- Ignition Plate uses iron bars, netherrack and a red dye.[2]
- Accelerated Planter uses a water bucket, dirt and a green dye.[2]
- Water Block uses iron bars, a water bucket and a blue dye.[2]

| any kivi | any kivi | |

Recipe id: xycraft_machines:shaped/fabricator
The Water Block leads on to the Hydro Pump, which also needs a Fluid Port. That makes it one of the few multi-step chains in the early game.[2]
Crafting Shaped
| any aluminum nugget | any aluminum nugget | |
| any aluminum nugget | any aluminum nugget |
Recipe id: xycraft_machines:shaped/hydro_pump
Step 4: The Extractor and resin
The Extractor needs a piston, pointed dripstone, aluminum, a kivi item and a port, so it comes after the port step. In the pack's recipes it turns leaves and logs into Resin. A blender recipe then combines resin with water to make a Block of Resin. You can also craft Resin Ball items into a Block of Resin, and unpack the block back into balls.[2]

Late-game: the Perfected Gauntlet
The pack changes the smithing recipe for the Perfected Gauntlet. You upgrade an Improved Gauntlet with a netherite upgrade template and a netherite ingot, so it sits at the netherite stage of the game.[2]
Smithing Transform

Improved Gauntlet
- any netherite ingot
Recipe id: minecraft:gauntlet_perfected_smithing
Unverified The sources do not show how to craft the Improved Gauntlet. They also do not show what machine runs the ore tap, atmospheric vacuum, ark melter or blender recipes, or any energy, speed or tier values for them. Those recipes produce steam, nitrogen, ore slurry, super heated ore, fuel and ice cream, but their place in the progression is unconfirmed.
How does XyCraft Machines work with other mods?
1 part
The recipe dump for this pack shows one recipe where XyCraft Machines meets items from another namespace. It's a small section, but it's the only link I can confirm.[2]
Aluminum from ore slurry in the Refinery
The pack has a Refinery recipe that uses Nitrogen, Ore Slurry and the Aluminum Ingot. The aluminum ingot comes from the xycraft_world namespace, not from the machines namespace, so this recipe is where the two meet.[2]
Refinery (xycraft_machines)
Recipe id: xycraft_machines:refinery/ore_slurry/aluminum
Refinery recipe linking the machines items with the aluminum ingot.
The dump lists these three items but doesn't show a separate output for the recipe. Open the recipe block above to see exactly how it's laid out in the pack.[2]
Unverified No quests in this pack were found that involve XyCraft Machines, and no in-jar guidebook was found for it. Any other connections to other mods, such as tags, fluids or power compatibility, are unverified.
