What is Tool Belt?
Tool Belt is in the pack at version 2.2.6, built for Minecraft 1.21.1. It has been in the pack since 0.32 or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the mod list rather than a recent addition.[1]
The mod's main item is the Tool Belt. The pack's quest book gives it a quest in the "tips_and_tricks" chapter, where the task is to obtain the belt. That quest is a quest in "?", and it has no title in the quest book. Its placement in a tips chapter suggests the pack treats the belt as a handy extra, but that is my reading and the quest doesn't say it outright.[2]
Unverified The sources I have don't describe what the Tool Belt does in detail, such as how many tools it holds or how you swap them. They also don't give its crafting recipe or any pack-specific config changes, so I can't say whether the pack tweaks anything. Check the item in-game before relying on specifics.
Unverified Where Tool Belt fits in the pack's progression isn't confirmed by the sources. Nothing shows an ATM Star path connection, so don't plan a run around it.
How do you get started with Tool Belt?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.5 guide
Getting started with Tool Belt in this pack is a short list: craft the Tool Belt, then the Belt Pouch. The pack has changed the crafting recipe for both items, so use the recipes shown below.[3]
Step 1: Craft the Tool Belt
Start with the Tool Belt. This is the pack's own version of the recipe, not the mod's default.[3]
Crafting Shaped
| Empty slot | ||
| any iron ingot |
Recipe id: toolbelt:belt
The pack changed this recipe from the mod's default.
The Tool Belt is also the task of a quest in the tips_and_tricks chapter of the quest book: a quest in "?".[4]
Step 2: Craft the Belt Pouch
Next is the Belt Pouch. The pack changed this recipe too, and it is a separate recipe from the belt's.[3]
Crafting Shaped
| any gold ingot | ||
| Empty slot | ||
Recipe id: toolbelt:pouch
The pack also changed this recipe from the mod's default.
Checking your belt
The mod has a tooltip line that reads "Upgrades" followed by the upgrades and a slot count, so check the tooltip to see what your belt currently has.[5]
How does Tool Belt work?
3 parts
Tool Belt adds two items you can craft in this pack: the Tool Belt and the Belt Pouch. Both recipes are changed by the pack, so they may not match what you remember from the mod's defaults. The recipes below are the exact in-pack versions.[6]
Crafting the Tool Belt
Crafting Shaped
| Empty slot | ||
| any iron ingot |
Recipe id: toolbelt:belt
Shaped crafting recipe, changed by the pack.
Crafting the Belt Pouch
Crafting Shaped
| any gold ingot | ||
| Empty slot | ||
Recipe id: toolbelt:pouch
Shaped crafting recipe, changed by the pack.
The two recipes differ in one material: the belt uses an iron ingot from the shared ingots tag, and the pouch uses a gold ingot from the same tag. Any ingot in the matching tag works.[6]
Reading the tooltip
The mod's tooltip text follows the format "Upgrades: %s (%s slots)". It lists the upgrades on an item and the number of slots, with the game filling in both values. Check the tooltip on your own belt to see what it shows.[5]
Unverified The sources don't explain how many slots the belt has, how to equip or open it, what the pouch does as an upgrade, or which items can be stored. There are also no config files for this mod in the pack, so don't assume any slot counts or behavior beyond what the tooltip and recipes show.
How do you progress through Tool Belt?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.5 guide
The sources for this pack show the Tool Belt and the Belt Pouch for Tool Belt, and the pack has changed the crafting recipe for both of them. No further tiers are shown.[3]
The quest
The quest tied to this mod is a quest in "?" in the tips_and_tricks chapter. It has no title, and its task is the Tool Belt.[4]
Crafting the belt
The pack uses its own shaped recipe for the belt, so don't assume the mod's default recipe applies. Here is the exact in-pack version:[3]
Crafting Shaped
| Empty slot | ||
| any iron ingot |
Recipe id: toolbelt:belt
This recipe is changed by the pack.
Crafting the pouch
The Belt Pouch also has a shaped recipe changed by the pack. It is separate from the belt's recipe, so check the one below before you start gathering materials.[3]
Which All the Mods 10 quests use Tool Belt?
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.5 guide
Tool Belt only shows up in one place in the quest book: the "tips_and_tricks" chapter. There's a single quest that involves it, so there's no long questline to follow here.[4]
- a quest in "?" is an untitled quest in the "tips_and_tricks" chapter. Its task is to have a Tool Belt item.[4]
Since this is the only quest for the mod, there's no order to worry about. You can pick it up whenever you get around to making a belt.[4]
Unverified The quest's rewards, whether it needs other quests finished first, and how the Tool Belt is crafted in this pack are not confirmed by the available quest data.
