What is Simple Weather?
Simple Weather is part of the pack, and this version ships with Simple Weather 1.0.7. It has been in the pack since version 0.32 or earlier, so it is a long-standing part of the mod list rather than a recent addition.[1]
Unverified The sources I have don't describe what Simple Weather actually does, who it suits, or how it plays. I won't guess at its features, config options or items. If you want to know exactly what it changes, check the mod in a world of your own.
Unverified I also can't confirm where the mod fits in the pack's progression. No quests were found that involve it, and it isn't on the ATM Star path, so you don't need to plan around it for progression.
How do you get started with Simple Weather?
1 part
Simple Weather is a mod you set up rather than craft with. The sources I have for this pack show no recipes, items or quests for it, so there is no crafting order to follow. What they do show is the names on its client-side settings screen, and that is where your first steps happen.[2]
What you can adjust
The settings are split into groups. There is an override weather toggle (labelled Enabled), a Rain Settings group, a Snow Settings group, and particle counts: Particle Count, plus a separate Particle Count in Thunderstorm.[2]
- Rain Settings: Full Biome Lookup, Collision Particles Chance, Color Blending Frequency, Lifespan, Alpha, Scale, Turbulence, Range and Calculate AABB.[2]
- Snow Settings: Lifespan, Outer Range, Alpha, Scale and Range.[2]
These are all listed as client settings, so they affect what you see on your own screen. If you want to tune the look of rain and snow, the Rain Settings and Snow Settings groups are the place to start.[2]
Unverified What each option does exactly, its default value and its allowed range are not shown in the sources here, and no config file for this mod is included in them. Treat those details as unverified.
How does Simple Weather work?
4 parts
The sources for Simple Weather only show its client-side settings, which are about how weather looks. They show no machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item handling, so this section covers the settings and nothing else.[2]
The weather override switch
The settings include an "Override Weather" option, shown as "Enabled" in the settings screen.[2]
Rain settings
Rain has its own group, "Rain Settings". The options listed in it are:[2]
- Full Biome Lookup[2]
- Collision Particles Chance[2]
- Color Blending Frequency[2]
- Lifespan[2]
- Alpha[2]
- Scale[2]
- Turbulence[2]
- Range[2]
- Calculate AABB[2]
Snow settings
Snow has a separate group, "Snow Settings", with these options:[2]
Particle counts
The settings also include "Particle Count" and "Particle Count in Thunderstorm". These sit outside the rain and snow groups.[2]
Unverified The default values, allowed ranges and exact effects of these options, and any changes the pack makes to them, are not shown in the sources here. The pack has no config files for this mod that could be checked.

Where this guide comes from
Written from what All the Mods 10 itself ships: its files and recipes, the in-game guidebooks and the mods' own pages. Every statement links to the source it came from, and the numbers are checked against the pack before publishing.
