What is RFTools Power?
3 parts
RFTools Power is an addon for the RFTools family of mods. It adds several ways to generate and store power, so it's a good fit if you want RFTools machines running without building a power setup from scratch.[1]
What it adds
- A simple generator that burns coal or charcoal.[1]
- A generator that runs on blaze rods.[1]
- An endergenic generator that runs on ender pearls.[1]
- A dimensional powercell, which can store and transfer power across great distances and even between dimensions.[1]
- A multiblock power storage structure for when you need more storage.[1]
Who it's for
If you like picking a generator by fuel, this mod gives you a ladder to climb: coal and charcoal first, then blaze rods, then ender pearls. When your base grows, you can add the dimensional powercell to send power across long distances or other dimensions, or build the multiblock storage to hold a lot more.[1]
In this pack
This pack ships RFTools Power version 1.21-7.0.1. It has been in the pack since version 1.6 or earlier.[2]
Unverified Where RFTools Power fits in the pack's progression is not confirmed. The sources I have don't show any quests for this mod, and they don't show it on the ATM Star path. They also contain no in-pack recipes or config values for it, so check the in-game recipe viewer for exact crafting costs. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with RFTools Power?
4 parts
RFTools Power is an addon for the RFTools mods that adds power generators and power storage. It needs RFTools Base, so you'll see parts like the Machine Frame in these recipes. Here's the order I'd tackle things in.[1][3]
Start with the Coal Generator
The Coal Generator is the simple generator of the mod and runs on coal or charcoal. It's the natural first machine, so make it first and get some power flowing.[1][3]

Store your power in a Powercell
Next, give your power somewhere to go. The Powercell (Low) is the Low tier of the multiblock power storage, and it needs a Power Core (Low). The pack changed the Power Core recipe, so don't rely on what you remember from other modpacks.[1][3]

When you want more storage, there are the Powercell (Medium) and Powercell (High) tiers, which use the Power Core (Medium) and Power Core (High). The pack changed both of those Power Core recipes too.[3]

Upgrade your generation
Once the basics work, the mod has two more generators. The Blazing Generator is the one that runs on blaze rods, and its recipe is the mod's own.[1][3]

Long-distance storage
The Dimensional Cell can store and transfer power across great distances, even between dimensions. The pack changed the recipes for both the Dimensional Cell (Simple) and the Dimensional Cell. The Dimensional Cell (Advanced) uses the mod's own recipe.[1][3]

Unverified Power output and storage numbers, and how the Blazing Agitator, Blazing Infuser, Pearl Injector, Ender Monitor and Powercell Card work, are not covered by the sources I have, so they are not described here.
How does RFTools Power work?
4 parts
RFTools Power is an addon for the RFTools mods that adds power generators and power storage. It needs RFTools Base to work. The sources for this pack only explain the big picture, so this section covers what each system is for and how the pack changed the recipes. It does not cover exact numbers.[1]
Power generation
- Coal Generator: the simple option. It generates power from coal or charcoal.[1][3]
- Blazing Generator: generates power from blaze rods.[1][3]
- Endergenic: generates power from ender pearls. The pack changed its recipe, so don't rely on the mod's default.[1][3]

The pack also has recipes for the Blazing Agitator, Blazing Infuser, Pearl Injector and Ender Monitor. The sources don't say how they work with the generators.[3]
Dimensional cells
The dimensional cell is the mod's long-range storage. It can store power and transfer it across great distances, even between dimensions. The pack has three versions: Dimensional Cell (Simple), Dimensional Cell and Dimensional Cell (Advanced).[1][3]
The pack changed the recipes for the simple and standard cells. The advanced cell keeps the mod recipe, and you make it by upgrading a standard cell.[3]

Multiblock power storage
For bulk storage the mod has a multiblock that can store a lot of power. In this pack it comes in low, medium and high tiers. The Power Core (Low), Power Core (Medium) and Power Core (High) all use pack-changed recipes.[1][3]

The powercells follow the same tiers: Powercell (Low), Powercell (Medium) and Powercell (High). You craft the low cell from a low power core. The medium cell is crafted from a low powercell plus a medium power core, and the high cell from a medium powercell plus a high power core. So you upgrade a cell in place rather than starting over.[3]

The Powercell Card also has a pack-changed recipe.[3]

Monitoring
The mod includes the Power Monitor and Power Level blocks, plus the Ender Monitor mentioned above. All three have mod-default recipes in the pack.[3]
Unverified The sources don't confirm power output or capacity numbers, how the storage multiblock is assembled, how the endergenic and its pearl injector work, what the blazing agitator and infuser do, what the powercell card does, how the monitors behave, or how to automate power, fluid or item transfer. This pack also ships no config files for the mod, so don't assume any config values.
How do you progress through RFTools Power?
5 parts
RFTools Power has no quest line in this pack, so there is no quest to follow. The path below follows the recipes instead, from your first generator up to the high-end power storage. The pack changed several of these recipes from the mod's defaults, and I'll flag each one as we go.[3]
Unverified No quests in this pack are known to involve this mod, and it does not appear to be on the main quest path, so nothing here is quest-gated.
Tier 1: first generator and monitoring
The Coal Generator is where you start. Its recipe is the mod's own, unchanged by the pack. It doesn't need any of the late-game materials used further down the path.[3]

How does RFTools Power work with other mods?
3 parts
RFTools Power is an addon, so its main connection is to RFTools Base, which it requires. The rest of its crafting ties into vanilla Minecraft items and shared item tags, which means other mods in the pack can supply those materials.[1][3]
Unverified No quests involving this mod were found, so this section only covers what the in-pack recipes show.
RFTools Base parts
Nearly every machine in the mod is built on a Machine Frame or a Machine Base, both from RFTools Base. The Coal Generator, Blazing Generator, Endergenic and Pearl Injector all start from the frame, while the Power Monitor, Power Level and Ender Monitor start from the base.[3]
Some recipes also need the more advanced RFTools Base materials:[3]
- Infused Diamond is used for the Blazing Generator and the Dimensional Cell (Advanced).[3]
- Dimensional Shard is used for the Blazing Infuser, Power Core (Medium) and Power Core (High).[3]
- Infused Enderpearl is used for the Endergenic.[3]

Vanilla items and shared tags
Redstone shows up all over the mod. The Power Monitor uses a vanilla Comparator, the Pearl Injector uses a Hopper, and the Coal Generator uses a Redstone Torch plus any item in the coals tag.[3]
Several recipes accept any item from a shared tag instead of one specific item, so materials from other mods can work too. The blaze-based machines (Blazing Generator, Blazing Agitator and Blazing Infuser) take any blaze rod. The Endergenic and Ender Monitor take any ender pearl, and the Pearl Injector takes any chest. The Blazing Agitator additionally takes any glass block and any iron ingot.[3]

Pack changes to recipes
This pack has changed some recipes, so don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults. The Dimensional Cell, Dimensional Cell (Simple), Endergenic, Power Core (Medium) and Power Core (High) all use pack-specific recipes. These lean on vanilla gems such as diamond, emerald and quartz, plus prismarine shards and redstone blocks.[3]
