What is Reliquified Artifacts?

Reliquified Artifacts is a compatibility addon that links two mods: Relics and Artifacts. Instead of Artifacts items being simple pieces of gear you stumble across, this addon reworks them to fit Relics' deeper leveling system, which gives them new mechanics and extra layers to dig into.[1]

It's built for players who love collecting Artifacts gear but want more out of it. If you enjoy the idea of your accessories growing stronger over time through Relics-style progression, rather than staying the same from the moment you find them, this addon is for you.[1]

The addon needs both Relics and Artifacts to work, and this pack includes it, so the converted artifacts are part of your game from the start.[1][2]

Tip: The mod's project page describes it as still in development, converting only 35% of artifacts into relics so far. That means some Artifacts items you find will use the new Relics leveling system while others still behave like regular Artifacts gear.[1]

Unverified Where this mod fits in the pack's progression isn't documented in the available sources. Which specific artifacts are converted in the version this pack uses is also unconfirmed.

How do you get started with Reliquified Artifacts?

2 parts

Reliquified Artifacts is a compatibility addon that links two mods: Relics and Artifacts. Normally Artifacts gear just does its thing. This addon turns those items into relics, so they plug into Relics' leveling system and pick up some new mechanics along the way. Both of those mods have to be installed for this one to work.[1]

Keep in mind the mod is still in development. It only converts 35% of artifacts into relics right now, so some of the artifacts you pick up will still behave the normal way.[1]

Tip: Not sure whether an artifact got the relic treatment? Check its tooltip for the line "Modified by [Relics: Artifacts Compat]".[3]

How your relics level up

Each converted relic has one or more abilities, and each ability has its own way of earning experience. You level a relic by actually using it. Bunny Hoppers earn experience for every high jump made with their ability. Cloud in a Bottle earns experience for every extra air jump. Digging Claws earn experience as you mine: the tougher the block, the better your chance of gaining experience, and blocks that break instantly give nothing.[3]

Relics worth equipping early

If you come across any of these, they help right from the start and they level just from normal play.[3]

  • Digging Claws make you mine blocks faster and also lower the required tool level for every block by 1. That's a big deal when your tools are still weak.[3]
  • Cloud in a Bottle gives you extra jumps in mid-air, which makes getting around and escaping danger much easier.[3]
  • Crystal Heart raises your maximum health. It gains experience when you regenerate health, and the lower your health is compared to your maximum, the better the chance.[3]
  • Antidote Vessel cuts down how long negative effects last on you, and it levels each time that ability kicks in.[3]
  • Feral Claws speed up your attacks with every hit you land within 3 seconds of the last one. Be careful: attacking before your attack speed bar is full resets the built-up charges.[3]
  • Anglers Hat can boost your catch while fishing. When its ability succeeds it can repeat several times, and you get experience for each extra catch.[3]
Watch out: Some active abilities have cooldowns. Charm of Shrinking goes on a 10-second cooldown once the shrink ends or you cancel it. The Cowboy Hat's mob-riding ability goes on a 1-minute cooldown after the time runs out or you dismount.[3]

Unverified The available sources don't say where to find artifacts in this pack or what the exact ability values are at each level. This mod also has no crafting recipes or quests to point you to, so use the in-game tooltips to check the current numbers on each relic. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

How does Reliquified Artifacts work?

3 parts

Reliquified Artifacts is a compatibility addon between Relics and Artifacts. Artifacts gear normally works as randomly found equipment. This addon pulls those items into Relics' deeper, layered leveling system, so the heart of the mod is relic abilities and relic leveling.[1]

You need both Relics and Artifacts installed for it to work. The mod is still in development and currently converts only 35% of artifacts into relics, so not every Artifacts item you pick up will behave like a relic yet.[1]

Tip: Not sure whether an item has been converted? Check its tooltip. Converted items carry a line saying they were modified by Relics: Artifacts Compat.[3]

Relic abilities

Every converted relic has one or more abilities, and each one is described right in its tooltip. Some are passive and simply work while you're the relic bearer.[3]

  • Digging Claws reduce the required tool level for all blocks by 1 and also boost your mining speed.[3]
  • Kitty Slippers scare away all Creepers and Phantoms near you. They also have a chance to save you from fatal damage, leaving you with 1 health point.[3]
  • The Charm of Sinking doubles your sinking speed and reduces air consumption while you walk on the ocean floor.[3]
  • The Golden Hook's Thirst for Knowledge ability increases the experience you get from killing mobs.[3]

Other abilities are active, meaning you trigger them yourself and many of them have a cooldown. The Charm of Shrinking gradually shrinks you while you hold the right mouse button, then goes on a 10-second cooldown once the duration ends or you cancel it. The Cowboy Hat's overlord ability lets you ride and control any mob for a limited time, followed by a 1-minute cooldown after the time runs out or you dismount.[3]

A few more active abilities are worth knowing about. The Chorus Totem sends you back to where you were before your last teleport and then goes on cooldown. The Helium Flamingo lets you swim through the air for a limited time while you hold the sprint key. Bunny Hoppers give you much higher jumps when you hold the jump key.[3]

Chaining and stacking effects

Some abilities roll a chance and keep rolling until they fail. The Angler's Hat has a chance to add extra catch when you fish. If it succeeds, it repeats and adds more, and all the extra catches are added together. The Lucky Scarf works the same way with extra Luck levels on the blocks you mine.[3]

Feral Claws build up charges instead. Each consecutive attack you make within 3 seconds of the last one increases your attack speed. If you stop attacking, you lose 1 charge per second. Attacking before your attack speed bar has refilled resets all your accumulated charges, so time your swings.[3]

How relics level up

Every ability has a matching leveling source, and the relic earns experience points when you actually use it. Flippers gain experience for each second you spend swimming. The Chorus Totem gains experience each time you use its rewind. Kitty Slippers gain experience for each fall they make safe, and for each point of damage they prevent when they save you from a fatal attack.[3]

Some leveling sources are based on chance rather than guaranteed. The Cowboy Hat has a 25% chance to gain experience for each second you ride. For the Crystal Heart, the chance to gain experience from health regeneration is inversely proportional to your current health compared to your maximum. For Digging Claws, the chance per mined block is directly proportional to the block's toughness, and blocks that break instantly don't count. Night Vision Goggles can gain experience for every 5 seconds you move through darkness, with the chance tied to the light level at your position.[3]

Tip: Match your play to each relic's leveling source to level it faster. For example, mine tough blocks with Digging Claws, and let the Crystal Heart regenerate you while your health is low.[3]

Unverified The available sources don't give the exact ability values (percentages, block counts or durations) for this pack. They also don't say how gaining levels changes those values or what you do with relic experience. They describe no machines, multiblocks, power, fluid or automation systems for this mod.
