ExtraStorage is an addon for Refined Storage, so you need a working Refined Storage setup before any of this matters. The recipes below all build on Refined Storage parts. The order here is autocrafting first, then smarter importing and exporting, then bigger storage, then the higher autocrafter tiers.[1][3]
First: Iron Autocrafter
Start with the Iron Autocrafter. It is the first of 4 upgraded autocrafter tiers, each offering faster crafting speeds and increased pattern capacity. Its recipe takes any Refined Storage autocrafter, so you can upgrade one you already have. It is also the base for the higher tiers.[1][3][4]

Then: Bigger storage
The first step up is the 256k Storage Part, which is made from a Refined Storage 64k storage part. The pack changed the storage part recipes, as well as the shaped disk and storage block recipes, so use the recipes shown here instead of what you remember from the mod's defaults.[3]

Each tier after that is made from the part below it, all the way up to 16384k for items. Fluids have their own line of parts, disks and blocks, from 16384b to 1048576b.[3]
Finally: Neural Processor for the higher autocrafters
The Gold, Diamond and Netherite Autocrafters each need a Neural Processor along with the previous tier. You make a Raw Neural Processor first, then smelt it into the finished processor.[3]

How does ExtraStorage work?

ExtraStorage is an addon for Refined Storage, so everything here plugs into the Refined Storage network you already know. It upgrades autocrafters, importers and exporters, and storage disks.[1]
Autocrafter tiers
The mod adds 4 upgraded Autocrafter tiers. Each one offers faster crafting speeds and increased pattern capacity. In order, they are the Iron Autocrafter, Gold Autocrafter, Diamond Autocrafter and Netherite Autocrafter.[1][3]
Each autocrafter shows its pattern capacity in its tooltip. Hold Shift for details and look for the line that lists the slots for patterns. The sources don't give the exact slot counts or speeds, so check that tooltip in game.[4]
The Iron Autocrafter is crafted from a Refined Storage autocrafter, so your existing crafters can be upgraded instead of replaced.[3]

Advanced Importers and Exporters
The Advanced Importer and Advanced Exporter are the bigger versions of the standard Refined Storage blocks, with 18 filter slots, double the standard amount. The exporter's in-game description calls it a much larger exporter.[1][4]

High-capacity storage
ExtraStorage also adds larger storage for both items and fluids: high-capacity Storage Disks, Storage Blocks and Fluid Storage Blocks.[1]

Fluids follow the same pattern with the 16384b, 65536b, 262144b and 1048576b tiers. 16384b Fluid Storage Part starts from Refined Storage's 4096B Fluid Storage Part. 65536b Fluid Storage Part uses the 16384b part, 262144b Fluid Storage Part uses the 65536b part, and 1048576b Fluid Storage Part uses the 262144b part. These recipes are also marked as changed by the pack.[3]
Turning parts into disks and blocks
A part does nothing on its own. For disks, such as 256k Storage Disk, there is a shapeless recipe that combines a Refined Storage Storage Housing with the matching part. That one is the mod's own recipe. There is also a shaped recipe that the pack changed, which asks for Quartz Enriched Iron, redstone dust, glass and the part instead of the housing.[3]

You can also upgrade into a block with the mod's own upgrade recipes, which use a special recipe type rather than normal crafting. They take the matching ExtraStorage part along with lower-tier storage blocks, which is handy if you already have a pile of smaller blocks. The 256k upgrade, for example, takes the 256k part plus Refined Storage's 1k, 4k, 16k and 64k Storage Blocks.[3]

Autocrafter tiers
The autocrafters run Iron, Gold, Diamond, then Netherite. Iron Autocrafter is the entry point and takes any Refined Storage autocrafter, so you need one of those first. Each later tier is made from the previous crafter, a Neural Processor and a wooden chest, plus a storage block of the matching metal. Gold Autocrafter comes next, then Diamond Autocrafter, then Netherite Autocrafter. These are the mod's own recipes, with no pack changes.[3]

Getting a Neural Processor
The Neural Processor is needed for every autocrafter above Iron. You make a Raw Neural Processor in a crafting table, then smelt it into the finished Neural Processor. The raw version needs a Raw Advanced Processor, a Raw Improved Processor and a Processor Binding from Refined Storage, so you need that processor production running before you can go past the Iron Autocrafter.[3]

The big storage tiers are where the mods link most closely. The shaped disk recipes, the storage part recipes and the storage block recipes are all marked as changed by the pack, so what you craft here may not match what the standalone mod does.
