What is Ars Elemancy?
Ars Elemancy is part of this pack's mod list, and it isn't a recent addition: it has been included since an earlier release of the pack, so it's been sitting there waiting for you to find it.[1]
Unverified The available sources don't describe what Ars Elemancy adds, which players it is aimed at, or how it connects to the pack's other mods, so this section doesn't cover its features or progression yet.
How do you get started with Ars Elemancy?
4 parts
Ars Elemancy takes the single-element gear you already know from the Ars family and fuses two elements together into one upgraded piece. Each pairing gets its own armor set and focus: Cinder is Fire and Air, Lava is Fire and Earth, Mire is Water and Earth, Silt is Earth and Air, Tempest is Water and Air, and Vapor is Fire and Water. At the very top sits the Elemancer tier, which covers all 4 schools at once.[2]
Everything in this mod starts with an essence, and the rest of the progression builds on it. This section uses the Cinder line as the example, because it shows the full path from essence to focus to armor.[3]
Step 1: Imbue your first essence
Your first craft is Cinder Essence. It's made in the imbuement process from Ars Nouveau, not at a crafting table. Every Cinder focus and armor upgrade in this pack needs one of these, so it's worth making a few.[3]
Step 2: Upgrade to a dual-element focus
Next, turn your essence into the Focus of Cinder on the Ars Nouveau enchanting apparatus. This is the first big payoff. The focus amplifies glyphs of both the Fire and Air schools and makes them cheaper, so you no longer have to pick one school over the other.[2][3]
Made on the enchanting apparatus
Step 3: Merge your armor pieces
Once your focus is sorted, work on the armor. Each Cindermancer piece is an armor upgrade that merges an existing Air piece and Fire piece of the same slot into one. You can do the four slots in any order: Cindermancer Hat, Cindermancer Robes, Cindermancer Leggings and Cindermancer Boots.[3]
Armor Upgrade (ars_elemancy)

The set is worth it. The Cinder set absorbs some fire- and air-related damage and converts it into mana. It also instantly clears fire and greatly reduces fall damage.[2]
There's also a Cinder Bangle, which is made the same way from an Air and a Fire bangle.[3]
Looking ahead: the Elemancer tier
Your long-term goal is the Elemancer tier. It starts with the Elemancer Shard, another imbuement craft. From there, the Focus of Elemancy amplifies and discounts glyphs of all 4 schools.[2][3]

Elemancer armor is made by merging two dual-element pieces that together cover all four elements. There are three ways to do it: Lava with Tempest, Cinder with Mire, or Silt with Vapor. That means your Cinder gear from Step 3 isn't wasted, because it can be one half of an Elemancer piece. The finished set absorbs element-related damage into mana and has all the effects of the lesser elemental armor.[2][3]

Unverified The recipes for the Lava, Mire, Silt, Tempest and Vapor essences and gear weren't available for this section, so check them in your recipe viewer. It's also unconfirmed why each armor upgrade has two recipe variants, and which block performs the armor upgrade crafts. How does Ars Elemancy work?
5 parts
Ars Elemancy is all about fusing two elemental schools into one. Instead of separate fire, water, earth and air gear, you get hybrid sets like Cinder (fire and air), Lava (fire and earth), Mire (water and earth), Silt (earth and air), Tempest (air and water) and Vapor (fire and water). At the top sits the Elemancer tier, which covers all 4 schools at once.[2]
The mod has three core pieces: elemental essences, spell foci and armor (including bangles). The sources don't describe any machines, multiblocks, power or fluid systems for this mod, so this section focuses on how those three pieces work and how they're made.[2][3]
The dual-element sets
Every hybrid armor set absorbs some of the damage tied to its two elements and converts it into mana. On top of that, each set combines the utility effects of its two parent elements. Here's what each set does in this pack.[2]
- Cinder (fire and air) instantly clears fire and greatly reduces fall damage.[2]
- Lava (fire and earth) gives you food deep underground when you're about to starve, and instantly clears fire.[2]
- Mire (water and earth) refills your air when you're about to drown, and gives you food deep underground when you're about to starve.[2]
- Silt (air and earth) greatly reduces fall damage, and gives you food deep underground when you're about to starve.[2]
- Tempest (air and water) refills your air when you're about to drown, and greatly reduces fall damage.[2]
- Vapor (fire and water) refills your air when you're about to drown, and instantly clears fire.[2]
- Elemancer absorbs element-related damage and converts it into mana, and it has all the effects of the lesser elemental armor.[2]
Elemental essences
Hybrid essences are the base material for everything else. Cinder Essence is made with the Imbuement recipe type from Ars Nouveau. It then goes into the Cinder focus and the Cinder armor upgrades.[3]
Foci
A focus is attuned to a specific element and empowers some glyphs with new effects. Each dual-element focus amplifies and discounts the glyphs of both its schools. For example, Focus of Cinder covers the Fire and Air schools. The elemental focus goes further and boosts glyphs of all 4 schools.[2]
In this pack, the Focus of Cinder is made on the Enchanting Apparatus from Ars Nouveau, by combining existing single-element foci with the matching essence.[3]
Armor upgrades
You don't craft hybrid armor from scratch. The armor and bangles use the mod's own armor upgrade recipe type, which merges existing single-element pieces from Ars Elemental into one dual-element piece. So hang on to your old elemental gear, because it's what you upgrade.[3]

The Elemancer tier
Elemancer gear is the final step. It uses the same armor upgrade recipe type, but it builds on dual-element gear from this mod instead of the single-element pieces. For example, Elemancer Boots upgrade from Lavamancer Boots and Tempestmancer Boots.[3]
Elemancer Boots
The Elemancer Bangle gives you more freedom. It has three different recipe routes in this pack, each using a different pair of hybrid bangles that together cover all four elements. Pick the route that matches the bangles you already have.[3]

Route using the Cinder and Mire bangles

Unverified The available sources don't show how the Elemancer Shard or the other hybrid essences are made, what block performs the armor upgrade recipes, or whether any of this can be automated. Check your recipe viewer in-game for those details. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you progress through Ars Elemancy?
3 parts
Ars Elemancy is all about fusion. You take the single-element gear from Ars Elemental, merge it into dual-element gear, and then merge that into the top Elemancer tier. Every recipe making the mod's items is the mod's own, unchanged by the pack, so the path below matches the mod as it ships.[3]
Step one: dual-element essences
Each dual-element school starts with its own essence, made through Ars Nouveau imbuement. Cinder Essence fuses air and fire. Lava Essence fuses earth and fire. You need these before you can craft any of that school's gear.[3]
Tier one: dual-element foci and armor
With an essence in hand, you can make that school's focus in the Enchanting Apparatus. Focus of Cinder merges the air and fire foci, and Focus of Lava merges the earth and fire foci.[3]
Armor works the same way, one slot at a time. Each Cindermancer piece is built from the matching Aethermancer and Pyromancer piece, so Cindermancer Hat, Cindermancer Robes, Cindermancer Leggings and Cindermancer Boots each need their air and fire counterparts. Lavamancer gear such as Lavamancer Hat and Lavamancer Boots uses the Geomancer and Pyromancer pieces instead. Bangles follow the same pattern: Cinder Bangle and Lava Bangle are built from the matching elemental bangles.[3]
Every Cindermancer armor piece follows this pattern.
Every Lavamancer armor piece follows this pattern.
Unverified The pack also has Miremancer, Siltmancer, Tempestmancer and Vapormancer gear, but the recipes shown here don't reveal which elements each of those schools combines or how their essences are made. Check your recipe viewer in-game for those. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Tier two: Elemancer
The top tier runs on the Elemancer Shard. It's an imbuement recipe that brings air, earth, fire and water together with a Source Gem, and it goes into every Elemancer recipe.[3]
Focus of Elemancy is made in the Enchanting Apparatus. Note that it's built from the four base Ars Elemental foci (air, earth, fire and water), not from the dual-element foci. You don't have to craft a Focus of Cinder or Focus of Lava on the way to it.[3]

Elemancer armor and bangles are where the dual-element tier pays off. Each piece fuses two dual-element pieces of the same slot, and you get a choice of pairings. Pick whichever pair of schools you've already invested in:[3]
- Lavamancer plus Tempestmancer, for example Lavamancer Hat and Tempestmancer Hat into Elemancer Hat.[3]
- Cindermancer plus Miremancer, for example Cindermancer Robes and Miremancer Robes into Elemancer Robes.[3]
- Siltmancer plus Vapormancer, for example Siltmancer Boots and Vapormancer Boots into Elemancer Boots.[3]
- The same three pairings work for Elemancer Leggings and Elemancer Bangle.[3]

Unverified The armor and bangle upgrades use their own recipe type from this mod. The sources don't say which block or station performs these upgrades.
How does Ars Elemancy work with other mods?
3 parts
Ars Elemancy builds directly on top of Ars Nouveau and Ars Elemental. In this pack, every one of its connecting recipes either runs through an Ars Nouveau crafting method or takes gear from Ars Elemental and upgrades it into something new. If you're already deep into Ars magic, this is your next step up.[3]
Ars Nouveau: combined essences and foci
The new essences are made with Ars Nouveau imbuement from regular Ars Nouveau essences. That covers Cinder Essence, Lava Essence, Mire Essence and the top-tier Elemancer Shard. So you'll need your essence production up and running before you touch anything else in this mod.[3]
The Elemancer Shard is needed for every top-tier Elemancer piece.
The combined foci are made in the Ars Nouveau Enchanting Apparatus. Each one merges Ars Elemental foci with the matching new essence. Focus of Cinder, Focus of Lava and Focus of Mire each combine two elemental foci. Focus of Elemancy combines four: Focus of Air, Focus of Earth, Focus of Fire and Focus of Water.[3]

Ars Elemental: upgrading your armor and bangles
This is the biggest integration. Ars Elemancy's own armor upgrade recipes take two sets of Ars Elemental elemental gear and fuse them into a dual-element version. For example, Aethermancer's Hat and Pyromancer's Hat become a Cindermancer Hat. Geomancer and Pyromancer pieces become Lavamancer gear like Lavamancer Robes. Aquamancer and Geomancer pieces become Miremancer gear like Miremancer Boots.[3]
- Cindermancer gear and Cinder Bangle come from Aethermancer and Pyromancer pieces, and from the Air and Fire bangles.[3]
- Lavamancer gear and Lava Bangle come from Geomancer and Pyromancer pieces, and from the Earth and Fire bangles.[3]
- Miremancer gear and Mire Bangle come from Aquamancer and Geomancer pieces, and from the Earth and Water bangles.[3]
The Elemancer tier
At the top, two dual-element pieces merge into one Elemancer piece, such as Elemancer Hat or Elemancer Bangle. There are three routes to each piece. You can combine Lavamancer with Tempestmancer, Cindermancer with Miremancer, or Siltmancer with Vapormancer. Each route also uses an Elemancer Shard and a Mark of Mastery. Pick whichever pair of dual-element sets fits the gear you already have.[3]

What changed in Ars Elemancy between versions?
Ars Elemancy joined All the Mods 10 in release 3.0, which added version 1.3 of the mod.[4]
All the Mods 10 3.2 still lists Ars Elemancy as version 1.3, so the mod appears to be unchanged since it was added. Heads up: the jar in the pack is named ars_elemancy-1.21.1-1.5.jar, which doesn't match the listed version 1.3. Don't worry if you notice this while poking around your mods folder.[1]
Unverified No changelogs from Ars Elemancy's own developers are available for the version shipped in the pack, so this section can't list specific feature changes, fixes or balance tweaks. It also can't confirm which version the jar really contains, given the 1.3 vs 1.5 mismatch.
