Apothic-Spawners is a mod in All the Mods 10 8.3, where it is version 1.4.0. A mod about moving and modifying Mob Spawners (Summary from the mod's Modrinth page.)

What is Apothic-Spawners?

3 parts

Apothic Spawners is the Spawner Module of Apotheosis. It lets you pick up Mob Spawners with silk touch and then modify them with vanilla items, so you can build faster and more efficient mob farms than the default spawner allows.[1]

This pack includes version 1.4.0 (the 1.21.1 build), and it has been in the pack since version 2.25 or earlier.[2]

What it does

Every spawner has stats that control how it behaves. The vanilla ones are minimum and maximum spawn delay (in ticks), spawn count, max nearby entities, required player range and spawn range. Apotheosis adds more advanced stats on top: initial health, ignore players, ignore conditions, redstone control, ignore light, No AI, silent, youthful, burning and echoing.[1]

To change those stats you use a Spawner Modifier. These are recipes that take one or two input items held in your hands, and you right-click the spawner to apply the change. Each modifier has its own caps on the stats it touches, and some change more than one stat at once. Hover over a modified stat to see what it does and the modifier's min or max value.[1]

Capturing

The mod also adds the Capturing enchantment for swords. It gives mobs a chance to drop their spawn egg on death, and you can use that egg to change the type of mob a spawner spawns.[1]

Who it is for

This mod is for you if you build mob farms and want more control over them. You can pick up a spawner, tune it, and put it where you need it.[1]

Unverified The sources I was given don't show any quests or ATM Star path involvement for this mod, and there is no in-jar guidebook. Where it fits in the pack's progression is unverified, so check in-game before relying on a particular stage.

How do you get started with Apothic-Spawners?

2 parts

Apothic Spawners is all about picking up Mob Spawners and tuning them. The mod's own advancements point you in a sensible order, so that's the path I'd follow here.[1][3]

Your first steps

  1. Collect a spawner with Silk Touch. The mod's advancement asks for exactly this, and it is how you pick a spawner up to move it. Silk Touch collection may currently be disabled, so check the next step first.[1][3]
  2. Check the spawner info in your recipe viewer. The mod's text says collection can work with Silk Touch, or spawners can always drop when broken, or Silk Touch collection can be disabled. Which of these applies in this pack is unverified, so read the info line yourself before breaking a spawner.[3]
  3. Put the Capturing enchantment on a sword. It gives mobs a chance to drop their spawn egg, and the chance rises with each level.[1][3]
  4. Use a spawn egg on a spawner to change which mob it spawns. This is how you choose what your spawner produces.[1]
  5. Apply spawner modifiers. Hold the modifier's one or two input items in your hands and right-click the spawner. Each modifier has its own caps and can change more than one stat at once.[1]

Hover over the modified stats to see a description of each one and the modifier-specific minimum or maximum value. The recipe viewer has a Spawner Modification category that shows what the modifiers do.[1][3]

What to aim for first

The advancements double as a checklist of upgrades. They ask you to lower the minimum and maximum spawn delay to 20, raise the spawn count to 16, raise the max nearby entities to 32, raise the spawn range to 32 and raise the player activation range to 48.[3]

After that come the toggles: ignoring light, ignoring spawn conditions, ignoring nearby players, enabling redstone control and disabling Mob AI. Combining minimal delays with redstone control, no AI, ignored conditions and ignored players gives you the ultimate spawner advancement.[3]

Tip: Redstone control means the spawner needs a redstone signal to activate, so only enable it when you want to switch the spawner on and off yourself.[3]

Unverified I can't show recipe blocks for the spawner modifiers here, because no in-pack recipe ids or quests for this mod were provided. Look up the exact items and ingredients in your recipe viewer rather than trusting a guess. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

How does Apothic-Spawners work?

6 parts

Apothic Spawners is the spawner module of Apotheosis. The sources describe it as a mod about moving and modifying mob spawners. They describe no machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item automation for it. Everything here is about spawner stats, the modifiers that change them, and the Capturing enchantment.[1]

Collecting a spawner

You can pick up a mob spawner with Silk Touch, and one of the mod's advancements asks you to do exactly that. The mod's in-game info text comes in different variants: one names the tool used to collect spawners, one says spawners always drop when broken, and one says collection with Silk Touch is currently disabled.[1][3]

Unverified Which collection behavior this pack uses is decided by the mod's settings, and the sources here do not show it. Test it on a spawner before you plan around it.

Vanilla spawner stats

Every spawner has a set of basic stats that come from vanilla. You can hover over a modified stat to see its description and the modifier-specific min or max value.[1]

  • Minimum Spawn Delay and Maximum Spawn Delay: the lower and upper bounds, in ticks, of the time between spawns.[1]
  • Spawn Count: the upper bound on the number of entities spawned.[1]
  • Max Nearby Entities: how many entities of the spawning type can be nearby before spawning stops.[1][3]
  • Required Player Range: the radius, in blocks, that a player must be within for the spawner to be active.[1]
  • Spawn Range: the radius, in blocks, in which the spawner will try to spawn entities.[1]

Advanced stats from Apotheosis

On top of the vanilla stats, the mod adds several switches and effects. Some of them change how the spawner behaves, and others change the mobs it spawns.[1]

  • Ignore Players: the spawner ignores the required player range and activates regardless.[1]
  • Ignore Conditions: the spawner ignores all spawn rules for the spawned entity.[1]
  • Ignore Light: the spawner spawns the target entity regardless of light level.[1]
  • Redstone Control: the spawner must be activated by a redstone signal.[1]
  • Initial Health: the amount of max health, in percentage, that mobs spawn with.[1]
  • No AI: spawned mobs get the No AI flag. They are still moved by gravity and external force.[1]
  • Silent: spawned mobs get the Silent flag and make no sound.[1]
  • Youthful: if possible, spawned mobs will be babies.[1]
  • Burning: mobs spawn on fire.[1]
  • Echoing: spawned mobs drop an additional copy of their loot table on death.[1]

Spawner modifiers

You change a spawner's stats with a Spawner Modifier. A modifier is a recipe that takes one or two input items held in your hands, and right-clicking the spawner applies the stat change. Each modifier has its own caps on the stats it changes, and one modifier can change more than one stat at once. The in-game recipe viewer has a Spawner Modification category, and the mod's root advancement points you to JEI for details.[1][3]

Stat targets the advancements ask for

The advancements give you a rough roadmap of what a modified spawner can reach. They ask you to lower the minimum and maximum spawn delay to 20, raise the spawn count to 16, raise max nearby entities to 32, raise the spawn range to 32, and raise the player activation range to 48. They also ask you to disable the need for nearby players, spawn conditions, light requirements and mob AI, and to enable redstone control.[3]

At the moment, the final advancement asks for an ultimate spawner. As its description currently reads, it needs minimal delays, redstone control, no AI, ignored spawn conditions and ignored players.[3]

Tip: These numbers are advancement goals, not confirmed modifier caps. They currently tell you what the advancements ask you to reach, but not how each modifier gets you there.[3]

Capturing and changing the mob type

The mod also adds the Capturing enchantment, which applies to swords. It gives mobs a chance to drop their spawn egg on death, and the info text says the chance is a percentage per level. Spawn eggs can be used to change the type of mob a spawner spawns.[1][3]

Unverified The actual drop rate per Capturing level in this pack is not shown by the sources here. It is set in the mod's settings.

How do you progress through Apothic-Spawners?

3 parts

In this pack the quest book tells the spawner story in one chapter, and it starts with "Apothic Spawners" quest. Spawners can be mined with Silk Touch again, and you modify them by right clicking with special items. The quests then follow a clear path: blow up a spawner, get the base rune, and branch out into modifications.[4]

First comes "Blowing up Spawners" quest. Blowing one up makes it spawn a large amount of its mob and leaves Spawner Chain behind. The quest says you get 48-57 of them. Next is a quest in "Apothic Spawners", which unlocks everything else. Spawner Rune is the base material for modifying spawners.[4]

Basic modifications

Every quest below comes straight after the Spawner Rune quest. They cover the simple tweaks:[4]

Advanced modifications

The next step is a quest in "Apothic Spawners". You need to infuse your runes, and the quest asks for at least 70 Eterna, 30% Quanta and 50% Arcana in an Enchanting Table. It lists three ways to get there: 14 Deepshelves that aren't Dormant, 13 Glowing Hellshelves with 2 Deepshelves, or 12 Crystalline Seashelves with 2 Deepshelves. The Apothic Enchanting chapter explains these mechanics in more detail.[4]

Four quests unlock after it: "Echoing" quest (multiplies mob drops), "Ignore Players" quest (no player needed nearby, as long as the chunk is loaded), "Ignore All Conditions" quest (ignores light, spawn blocks and biomes, but not space conditions or the player-nearby rule) and "No AI" quest (mobs lose all AI and just stand there).[4]

The four upgrade rune tiers

The Spawner Upgrade Runes are the real tier ladder. They work differently from the other runes: instead of nudging one stat, they set several stats to fixed values at once. Spawn delay is in ticks, where 20 ticks equals 1 second, and the spawner picks a random delay between the minimum and the maximum.[4]

  1. a quest in "Apothic Spawners" (Frontiersman's Spawner Upgrade Rune): the first, cheapest and weakest tier. Minimum Spawn Delay 150, Maximum Spawn Delay 600, Spawn Count 7, Max Entities 12, Activation Range 24. It comes right after the Spawner Rune quest.[4]
  2. a quest in "Apothic Spawners" (Wayfarer's Spawner Upgrade Rune): Minimum Spawn Delay 100, Maximum Spawn Delay 400, Spawn Count 10, Max Entities 18, Activation Range 32. Any Spawn Egg works for crafting it, and it also follows the Spawner Rune quest.[4]
  3. a quest in "Apothic Spawners" (Mountaineer's Spawner Upgrade Rune): Minimum Spawn Delay 50, Maximum Spawn Delay 200, Spawn Count 13, Max Entities 24, Activation Range 40. It follows the Infused Spawner Rune quest.[4]
  4. a quest in "Apothic Spawners" (Thundering Spawner Upgrade Rune): the fourth and final tier. Minimum and Maximum Spawn Delay are both 20, Spawn Count 16, Max Entities 32, Activation Range 48. It also follows the Infused Spawner Rune quest.[4]
Watch out: The Mountaineer's tier means a Warden fight, so prepare before you chase it. The Thundering tier mentions Endersurge Gems, which can be obtained in The End.[4]

Max Entities is the number of mobs a spawner can have alive at once. If it is full, nothing new spawns until those mobs die or move away. Activation Range is how close you must be for the spawner to work.[4]

Which All the Mods 10 quests use Apothic-Spawners?

5 parts

Everything for this mod lives in one quest chapter, called "Apothic Spawners", with 36 quests. It starts with spawners, moves through spawn eggs and other mods' spawners, and spends most of its length on the spawner runes.[4]

Where the chapter starts

The opening quest, "Apothic Spawners" quest, asks you to hand in a Spawner. It explains that you can mine spawners with Silk Touch again, and that you can modify them by right clicking with certain items.[4]

Spawners from other mods

A group of quests, introduced by the checkmark quest a quest in "Apothic Spawners", covers spawners from other mods. Each one asks you to obtain that mod's spawner item.[4]

Getting spawn eggs

Another group of quests covers ways to get spawn eggs: a quest in "Apothic Spawners" (the Capturing enchantment, 0.5% egg chance per level per kill, normally up to level 7), a quest in "Apothic Spawners" (a Mob Swab and GM Chicken Feed), a quest in "Apothic Spawners" (Mob Charm Fragment) and a quest in "Apothic Spawners" (Spirit Reanimator). a quest in "Apothic Spawners" asks for the Occult Ender Lead, which is not an egg but binds mobs to spawners.[4]

Spawner runes

The rune quests begin with a quest in "Apothic Spawners", which asks for Spawner Rune, the base material for modifying spawners. It comes after the blowing up quest.[4]

These quests all come right after the Spawner Rune quest:[4]

Upgrade runes and advanced runes

The Spawner Upgrade Runes set several stats at once, in this order. a quest in "Apothic Spawners" is the first and weakest: Minimum Spawn Delay 150, Maximum Spawn Delay 600, Spawn Count 7, Max Entities 12, Activation Range 24. a quest in "Apothic Spawners" is tier 2: 100, 400, 10, 18 and 32. Both come right after the Spawner Rune quest.[4]

The advanced runes unlock through a quest in "Apothic Spawners", which asks for Infused Spawner Rune. It needs at least 70 Eterna, 30% Quanta and 50% Arcana in an Enchanting Table.[4]

"From pack files" means the list came from the pack's own files; "from the published release" means ForgeBase read the jars of the release itself.

Items and blocks

We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as apothic_spawners, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
