What is IntegratedTunnels?
2 parts
IntegratedTunnels is part of this pack at version 1.8.42, and it has been there since the pack's 1.0 release or earlier. In this pack you meet it mainly through its logistics parts: importers, exporters and interfaces that move items, fluids and energy.[1][2][3]
The parts you will see
- Importers come in item, fluid and energy versions, such as Part Importer Item, Part Importer Fluid and Part Importer Energy. There are also world versions for items, fluids, energy and blocks, such as Part Importer World Block.[2][3]
- Exporters follow the same pattern: Part Exporter Item, Part Exporter Fluid and Part Exporter Energy, plus world versions like Part Exporter World Block.[3]
- Interfaces come in item, fluid and energy versions: Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid and Part Interface Energy.[2][3]
Where it shows up in the quests
The basic_logistics chapter has three quests that pair an importer with an interface of the same type: a quest in "?" for items, a quest in "?" for fluids and a quest in "?" for energy. Each one unlocks after two earlier quests.[2]
The integrated_dynamics chapter has three more. a quest in "?" accepts any one of the item, fluid or energy interfaces. a quest in "?" accepts any one of the importers, and a quest in "?" accepts any one of the exporters.[3]
Unverified The sources do not describe how these parts work in detail, and they do not show a crafting recipe, a config option or an ATM Star path for this mod. Check those in game before you build around them.
How do you get started with IntegratedTunnels?
3 parts
Good news: you don't have to hunt for a recipe tree here. In this pack, the quest book's integrated_dynamics chapter walks you through the IntegratedTunnels parts. The interfaces come right after the Crystallized Menril Chunk, and the importers and exporters follow the two variable transformers. Follow that chapter in order and every step below falls into place.[3]
The order to work in
- Start with the Menril line. a quest in "?" (Menril Sapling) leads to the Squeezer, then the Drying Basin, then a quest in "?" (Crystallized Menril Chunk). Everything else in this chapter hangs off that chunk.[3]
- Grab the Logic Cable (a quest in "?") once you have the chunk. It unlocks the Variable Card quest, and that quest leads to both variable transformers.[3]
- Make your first interface. a quest in "?" also comes after the chunk and accepts any one of Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid or Part Interface Energy. Pick whichever matches what you want to move first.[3]
- Make the Input Variable Transformer (a quest in "?") and the Output Variable Transformer (a quest in "?"). The pack's importer recipes use the input one and the exporter recipes use the output one, each combined with an interface.[3][4]
- Craft your importers and exporters. a quest in "?" follows the Input Variable Transformer and a quest in "?" follows the Output Variable Transformer. Each accepts any of the importer or exporter variants, world ones included.[3]
Interfaces first
One crafting operation gives you 4 interfaces, so you don't need to craft many times. Here are the three in-pack recipes.[4]

Importers and exporters
Importers and exporters are both made from an interface of the same type, so you can't skip the interface step. Here is the item pair, and the fluid and energy versions follow the same pattern.[4]

The world variants come next. The world item importer is made from the plain item importer, so it is a natural second step once the basic pair works.[4]

Once you've done an importer, an exporter and an interface, the integrated_dynamics chapter has a checkmark quest that follows all three. More checkmark quests come after it, and then the Logic Programmer, with the Portable Logic Programmer, Variable Store and crafting interface quests beyond that.[3]
How does IntegratedTunnels work?
5 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
IntegratedTunnels is the part of the Integrated Dynamics family that moves things around. It handles items, fluids and energy through parts that sit on your cables. Interfaces connect storage to the network, importers and exporters move resources in and out, and the world versions work on blocks, dropped items and entities in front of them.[5][6]
Interfaces: the base of everything
You get a separate interface for each resource: Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid and Part Interface Energy. Here are the recipes for the fluid and energy versions too.[6]

The filtering versions, such as Part Interface Filter Item, let you control what passes through. Their settings can apply the filter to insertions into the network, to extractions from the network (views included), or to both. The mod's own advancements give examples: exposing an inventory's contents only during daytime, and only passing items from a certain mod.[5][6]
Crafting Shapeless
Recipe id: integratedtunnels:crafting/part_interface_filter_item
Two item interfaces and a hopper make one filtering item interface.
Interfaces also have a passive IO setting, which decides whether the target may insert into or extract from the network. A separate option makes anything always allowed, ignoring the filter. If you have several interfaces, a round robin option iterates them in circular order and ignores priorities.[5]
Importers and exporters
Part Importer Item, Part Importer Fluid and Part Importer Energy pull a resource in. The exporters, like Part Exporter Item, push it out. They are driven by a boolean: an item exporter exports items while its boolean is true, and the same goes for the fluid and energy versions.[5][6]

The settings give you a lot of control. You can switch to a blacklist, so everything except the listed items is handled. You can require exact amounts, or only allow an exact stack size to move in one tick. An empty value can match everything or nothing. For items and fluids you can also match NBT data, with options such as subset, superset, recursive checking and requiring a tag. There is also an option to craft the instance if it is not present in the network.[5]
The mod's advancements show typical setups. One exports items into an inventory until 10 items are in it. Another picks up 5 items at a time with a World Item Importer.[5]
World importers and exporters
The world versions work on whatever the part faces. There are item, fluid, energy and block variants, for example Part Importer World Block, Part Exporter World Block and Part Exporter World Item. The block importer picks up blocks and the block exporter places them. The advancements mention breaking stone with a World Block Importer, dropping all items with a World Item Exporter, and placing logs through the 'logs' tag list.[5][6]

World parts have extra settings. You can break a block only if it produces drops, or match the item form of the block instead of its dropped items. Offsets take a value between 0 and 1, yaw and pitch range from -180 to 180 degrees, and entity velocity ranges from 0 to 25. The entity index picks the n-th entity, and -1 always picks a random one. The energy, fluid and item world parts can also import from or export to the entities they face.[5]
Player Simulator
Part Player Simulator acts like a player. It can click with any item or with an empty hand, and it can simulate sneaking. A continuous click can be enabled, otherwise each click takes one tick. Its crafting uses the world block and world item importers and exporters, so you build those first.[5][6]

Reading the network
The mod also has read aspects for logic. They report the number of valid interfaces for item or fluid storage, the total amount and upper limit of items or fluids in the network, and a list of everything stored. There is also an operator that gives the count of one specific item or fluid.[5]
Unverified Exact transfer rates per tick, default priorities and any pack-specific changes to the mod's values are not shown by the sources here, since no config file for this mod was available.
How do you progress through IntegratedTunnels?
5 parts
In this pack, IntegratedTunnels progression is told by the Integrated Dynamics quest chapter, which has 28 quests. The tunnel parts are not a separate chapter. They sit in the middle of the logic cable line, and the Basic Logistics chapter repeats three of them.[2][3]
The quest path
- Start with a quest in "?", the Menril Sapling. The Squeezer and Menril Berries quests come after it. The Drying Basin comes after the Squeezer, and a quest in "?" (Crystallized Menril Chunk) comes after the Drying Basin.[3]
- The chunk opens several quests at once: Wrench, Honeycomb, Logic Cable, Energy Battery, and the interface quest a quest in "?". That quest accepts any one of Part Interface Energy, Part Interface Item or Part Interface Fluid.[3]
- Logic Cable leads to the Variable Card, which leads to the Input Variable Transformer and the Output Variable Transformer.[3]
- The exporter quest a quest in "?" comes after the Output Variable Transformer. It accepts any of the seven exporter parts, including the world versions.[3]
- The importer quest a quest in "?" comes after the Input Variable Transformer. It accepts any of the seven importer parts, including the world versions.[3]
- A checkmark quest unlocks once the importer, exporter and interface quests are done. More checkmark quests follow, and the Logic Programmer quest comes after one of them.[3]
The Basic Logistics chapter has item, fluid and energy importer quests: a quest in "?", a quest in "?" and a quest in "?". Each asks for the importer and the interface of its type, and each comes after Logic Cable and Variable Card.[2]
Tier 1: interfaces
Interfaces are the entry point. There is one recipe each for item, fluid and energy, and every craft gives you 4 parts.[4]

Tier 2: importers and exporters
These are the parts the importer and exporter quests ask for, and each one is made from the interface of the same type plus a variable transformer. That is why the transformer quests come before them in the quest book. Item, fluid and energy each have an importer and an exporter recipe. Here are the item ones.[3][4]

Tier 3: world importers and exporters
The world versions, such as Part Importer World Item and Part Exporter World Fluid, each upgrade the matching tier 2 part. The quest book counts them as alternatives for the same importer and exporter quests, not as a separate step. The block versions, Part Importer World Block and Part Exporter World Block, have their own recipes.[3][4]

Filter interfaces and the player simulator
The item, fluid and energy filter interfaces each have a recipe of their own, for example Part Interface Filter Item. Part Player Simulator builds on four of the world parts. The two quest chapters above don't ask for either of these, so you won't find a quest marking them there.[2][3][4]

How does IntegratedTunnels work with other mods?
2 parts
In this pack, IntegratedTunnels is tied closely to Integrated Dynamics. Every tunnel part recipe in the pack that links it to another mod uses Integrated Dynamics items, so you can't get far with tunnels until you've made progress in that mod.[4]
How the crafting chain connects
The interface parts (item, fluid and energy) are the base, and each craft gives you 4. Importers lean on the Input Variable Transformer, exporters on the Output Variable Transformer, and the world versions on the Logic Director. The recipes below show the exact in-pack versions.[4]

The world block parts also use a vanilla pickaxe.
The recipes also pull in a couple of vanilla items. The fluid interface uses Bucket, and the world block importer and exporter use Diamond Pickaxe. The energy interface needs the Integrated Dynamics Energy Battery, which is another reason to follow that mod's progression.[4]
Where the quest book places it
The Integrated Dynamics chapter of the quest book follows the same path. The interface quest a quest in "?" comes right after the Crystallized Menril Chunk quest a quest in "?", and it accepts any of the three interface parts.[3]
The importer and exporter quests come after the transformers. a quest in "?" follows the Input Variable Transformer quest a quest in "?" and accepts any of the importer parts, including the world versions. a quest in "?" follows the Output Variable Transformer quest a quest in "?" and accepts any of the exporter parts, including the world versions. Both transformer quests sit after the Variable Card quest a quest in "?".[3]
The basic_logistics chapter has fluid, item and energy importer quests (a quest in "?", a quest in "?" and a quest in "?"), each asking for the importer and its matching interface. They come after the Logic Cable and Variable Card quests. The same chapter also has quests for other transport mods, such as the Pipez wrench Pipe Wrench and the Mekanism configurator Configurator. The book doesn't link those quests to the tunnel quests. The chapter has 13 more quests that aren't shown in the sources here, so check the quest book for those.[2]
Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use IntegratedTunnels?
2 parts
Two quest chapters in the pack ask you for Integrated Tunnels parts: integrated_dynamics and basic_logistics. In both, the tunnels quests come after you have Logic Cables and Variable Cards.[2][3]
The integrated_dynamics chapter
This chapter runs through the Integrated Dynamics progression, starting with the menril sapling and going on to the Crystallized Menril Chunk quest a quest in "?". The tunnels quests branch off from there.[3]
- a quest in "?" unlocks right after the Crystallized Menril Chunk quest. It accepts any one of Part Interface Energy, Part Interface Item or Part Interface Fluid.[3]
- a quest in "?" comes after the Output Variable Transformer quest a quest in "?". That one follows the Variable Card quest a quest in "?", which follows the Logic Cable quest a quest in "?". Any one exporter part counts: energy, item, fluid, or the world energy, world item, world fluid and world block versions, for example Part Exporter Energy or Part Exporter World Block.[3]
- a quest in "?" comes after the Input Variable Transformer quest a quest in "?". It also takes any one importer part, in the same seven flavors as the exporter quest, for example Part Importer Item or Part Importer World Fluid.[3]
- A checkmark quest a quest in "?" sits after the importer, exporter and interface quests, so it is the natural wrap-up of this group.[3]
The basic_logistics chapter
This chapter has three tunnels quests, one each for fluid, item and energy. Each one asks for two items: an importer and an interface of that type. Unlike the integrated_dynamics quests, you hand in both.[2]
- a quest in "?" asks for Part Importer Fluid and Part Interface Fluid.[2]
- a quest in "?" asks for Part Importer Item and Part Interface Item.[2]
- a quest in "?" asks for Part Importer Energy and Part Interface Energy.[2]
All three unlock only after both the Logic Cable quest a quest in "?" and the Variable Card quest a quest in "?" are done. Both of those follow the Wrench quest a quest in "?", which has no prerequisite in this chapter.[2]
