What is IntegratedTunnels?

2 parts

IntegratedTunnels is the logistics add-on for Integrated Dynamics. The pack ships version 1.8.44. It gives you Importers, Exporters and Interfaces that move items, fluids and energy between inventories, tanks and power sources, all linked with Logic Cables. It's a good fit if you like building a flexible storage and transfer network without leaving the Integrated Dynamics family.[1][2][3]

How it works

An Importer goes on the block you want to pull from, and an Interface goes on the block you want to push into. You connect the two with Logic Cables, then put a Variable Card in the Importer to control what moves. The quests say a card can raise the transfer to the integer limit, which is over 2 billion.[2][3]

Exporters work like Importers, only in the other direction. The item, fluid and energy versions are Part Importer Item, Part Importer Fluid and Part Importer Energy, with matching exporters such as Part Exporter Item. There are also world variants for items, fluids, energy and blocks.[2][3]

Interfaces read whatever they're attached to. The quest compares them to an AE2 Storage Bus: a chest with 100 Cobblestone and an Interface on it means your network holds 100 Cobblestone.[3]

Where it fits in the pack

You meet this mod in three quest chapters. In Basic Storage, "Connecting Your Storage" quest has you place Part Interface Item on your chests, link them with cables and add a Storage Terminal to reach all your storage. A follow-up quest does the same for fluids with Part Interface Fluid.[4]

Basic Logistics then covers "Item Importing" quest, "Fluid Importing" quest and "Energy Importing" quest. The Integrated Dynamics chapter introduces Interfaces, Importers and Exporters again, with Interfaces unlocking after Crystallized Menril Chunks.[2][3]

Watch out: Two quest notes are worth remembering. The Fluid Importer only moves fluids from one tank to another and does not place or take fluid sources in the world. The quest author also reported problems importing or exporting energy with Flux Plugs and Points.[2]

Unverified The sources do not show IntegratedTunnels on the ATM Star quest path.

How do you get started with IntegratedTunnels?

5 parts

IntegratedTunnels adds the parts that move items, fluids and energy around an Integrated Dynamics network. In this pack the quests teach it in a clear order: first connect your storage with interfaces, then move things around with importers and exporters. Here's the order I'd follow.[2][3][4]

Step one: make an Item Interface

Start with the Part Interface Item. Put interfaces on the chests you want to connect, link them all with Logic Cables, then add a Storage Terminal. That gives you access to your whole storage system, and it's the goal of the quest "Connecting Your Storage" quest.[4]

An interface reads whatever it is attached to, a bit like an AE2 Storage Bus. If a chest holds 100 Cobblestone and has an interface on it, your network counts 100 Cobblestone.[3]

Step two: add a Fluid Interface

Next, the Part Interface Fluid does the same job for anything that holds fluid. Put it on the tank, connect it with Logic Cables and the fluid shows up in your system. A handy trick is to hold buckets in your inventory, click the fluid, then click again on the buckets to fill them.[4]

Step three: make an Item Importer

Now you can move things. Put the Part Importer Item on the inventory you want items pulled from, and put an interface on the second inventory. Connect them with Logic Cables, then put a Variable Card into the importer and change it as you like. It can import items at the Integer Limit, which is over 2 billion. The quest is "Item Importing" quest.[2][3]

Fluids and energy work the same way with Part Importer Fluid and Part Importer Energy, each paired with its matching interface. See "Fluid Importing" quest and "Energy Importing" quest.[2]

Watch out: The Fluid Importer only moves fluids from one tank to another. It does not place or take fluid sources in the world. The quest author also found problems importing or exporting with Flux Plugs and Points, so be careful with those.[2]

Step four: make an Item Exporter

Exporters work like importers, only they push things out instead of pulling them in. Start with the Part Exporter Item.[3]

Where to go next

Once the basics feel comfortable, the pack also has world importers and exporters for items, fluids, energy and blocks, such as the Part Importer World Item. There are filtering interfaces too, such as the Part Interface Filter Item, which can for example expose an inventory's contents only during daytime.[3][5][6]

How does IntegratedTunnels work?

5 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide

IntegratedTunnels is the part of the Integrated Dynamics family that moves things around. It handles items, fluids and energy through parts that sit on your cables. Interfaces connect storage to the network, importers and exporters move resources in and out, and the world versions work on blocks, dropped items and entities in front of them.[7][8]

Interfaces: the base of everything

You get a separate interface for each resource: Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid and Part Interface Energy. Here are the recipes for the fluid and energy versions too.[8]

The item interface is the starting point for the item importers and exporters.

Each craft gives 4 fluid interfaces.

Each craft gives 4 energy interfaces.

The filtering versions, such as Part Interface Filter Item, let you control what passes through. Their settings can apply the filter to insertions into the network, to extractions from the network (views included), or to both. The mod's own advancements give examples: exposing an inventory's contents only during daytime, and only passing items from a certain mod.[7][8]

Two item interfaces and a hopper make one filtering item interface.

Interfaces also have a passive IO setting, which decides whether the target may insert into or extract from the network. A separate option makes anything always allowed, ignoring the filter. If you have several interfaces, a round robin option iterates them in circular order and ignores priorities.[7]

Importers and exporters

Part Importer Item, Part Importer Fluid and Part Importer Energy pull a resource in. The exporters, like Part Exporter Item, push it out. They are driven by a boolean: an item exporter exports items while its boolean is true, and the same goes for the fluid and energy versions.[7][8]

The settings give you a lot of control. You can switch to a blacklist, so everything except the listed items is handled. You can require exact amounts, or only allow an exact stack size to move in one tick. An empty value can match everything or nothing. For items and fluids you can also match NBT data, with options such as subset, superset, recursive checking and requiring a tag. There is also an option to craft the instance if it is not present in the network.[7]

The mod's advancements show typical setups. One exports items into an inventory until 10 items are in it. Another picks up 5 items at a time with a World Item Importer.[7]

World importers and exporters

The world versions work on whatever the part faces. There are item, fluid, energy and block variants, for example Part Importer World Block, Part Exporter World Block and Part Exporter World Item. The block importer picks up blocks and the block exporter places them. The advancements mention breaking stone with a World Block Importer, dropping all items with a World Item Exporter, and placing logs through the 'logs' tag list.[7][8]

World parts have extra settings. You can break a block only if it produces drops, or match the item form of the block instead of its dropped items. Offsets take a value between 0 and 1, yaw and pitch range from -180 to 180 degrees, and entity velocity ranges from 0 to 25. The entity index picks the n-th entity, and -1 always picks a random one. The energy, fluid and item world parts can also import from or export to the entities they face.[7]

Player Simulator

Part Player Simulator acts like a player. It can click with any item or with an empty hand, and it can simulate sneaking. A continuous click can be enabled, otherwise each click takes one tick. Its crafting uses the world block and world item importers and exporters, so you build those first.[7][8]

Reading the network

The mod also has read aspects for logic. They report the number of valid interfaces for item or fluid storage, the total amount and upper limit of items or fluids in the network, and a list of everything stored. There is also an operator that gives the count of one specific item or fluid.[7]

Unverified Exact transfer rates per tick, default priorities and any pack-specific changes to the mod's values are not shown by the sources here, since no config file for this mod was available.

How do you progress through IntegratedTunnels?

5 parts

IntegratedTunnels progression in this pack is a short ladder. You start with interfaces, move up to importers and exporters, then to the world-facing versions, and finish with the Player Simulator. The quests cover the first two rungs, and the recipes show how the rest connect.[2][3][4][5]

Tier 1: Interfaces

Everything starts with the interface. The quest "Connecting Your Storage" quest has you place Part Interface Item on the chests you want to connect, link them with Logic Cables, and add a Storage Terminal to reach your whole storage system. It comes after the Integrated Terminals quest in the Basic Storage chapter.[4]

Fluids work the same way. The follow-up quest a quest in "Basic Storage" has you put Part Interface Fluid on any storage that holds fluid and connect it with Logic Cables, and the fluid appears in your system.[4]

Interfaces read whatever they are attached to. The quest a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" in the Integrated Dynamics chapter compares this to an AE2 Storage Bus: a chest holding 100 Cobblestone with an interface on it means your network contains 100 Cobblestone.[3]

Tier 2: Importers and exporters

Next you start moving things around. Each standard importer and exporter is a shapeless craft made from the matching interface, so you make the interface first. The Basic Logistics chapter has three quests for this step, one each for items, fluids and energy: "Item Importing" quest, "Fluid Importing" quest and "Energy Importing" quest.[2][5]

The setup is the same every time. Put the importer on the source, put the interface on the destination, connect them with Logic Cables, then edit the Variable Card in the importer. The item quest says it can be set to import items at the Integer Limit, over 2 billion.[2]

The Integrated Dynamics chapter has a general a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" quest that accepts any importer, and an a quest in "Integrated Dynamics" quest that accepts any exporter. Exporters work like importers, only they export instead.[3]

Watch out: The Fluid Importer does not place or take fluid sources in the world. It only moves fluids from one tank to another.[2]
Watch out: The quest author reports problems importing or exporting energy with Flux Plugs and Points, so be careful when you pair them with the Energy Importer.[2]

Tier 3: World importers and exporters

The world variants are the next step up. Part Importer World Item, Part Importer World Fluid and Part Importer World Energy are each made from the matching standard importer. The exporters follow the same pattern, for example Part Exporter World Item. The Importing and Exporting quests accept these world versions as well as the standard ones.[3][5]

There are also block versions, Part Importer World Block and Part Exporter World Block. Both are made from the matching item part.[5]

How does IntegratedTunnels work with other mods?

2 parts

Integrated Tunnels is built to sit inside an Integrated Dynamics network in this pack. The recipes for its parts all lean on Integrated Dynamics items, and the quests teach it as part of that same logistics setup. Here's how the pieces connect.[2][3][5]

The crafting chain

Everything starts with the three interfaces (item, fluid and energy), which are crafted with a Crystallized Menril Chunk. The importers and exporters are then made from an interface together with an Input Variable Transformer or an Output Variable Transformer. The world versions use a Logic Director on top of the matching normal importer or exporter.[5]

The energy and fluid interfaces follow the same pattern. The energy one pulls in an Energy Battery and the fluid one uses a Bucket, so check the recipe viewer for the exact layout of each.[5]

Working inside an Integrated Dynamics network

  • Importers and interfaces connect through Logic Cables, and a Variable Card in the importer controls what it moves. The quests say it can be set to move things at the Integer Limit, which they put at over 2 billion. See "Item Importing" quest and a quest in "Integrated Dynamics".[2][3]
  • Exporters work like importers, only they export instead. See a quest in "Integrated Dynamics".[3]
  • Interfaces read whatever they sit on. The quest compares this to an AE2 Storage Bus: a chest holding 100 Cobblestone with an interface on it means your network has 100 Cobblestone. See a quest in "Integrated Dynamics".[3]
  • Item interfaces on your chests, linked with Logic Cables, plus a Storage Terminal from Integrated Terminals, give you access to your whole storage system. See "Connecting Your Storage" quest.[4]
  • A fluid interface on any fluid-holding storage adds that fluid to your system. The quest suggests keeping buckets in your inventory, clicking the fluid and then clicking the buckets to fill them. See a quest in "Basic Storage".[4]
  • The Fluid Importing quest says the fluid parts only move fluids from one tank to another. They do not place or take fluid sources in the world. See "Fluid Importing" quest.[2]
Watch out: The Energy Importing quest says the author had problems importing or exporting with Flux Plugs and Points, so be careful using them with the Integrated Tunnels energy parts. See "Energy Importing" quest.[2]

Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use IntegratedTunnels?

4 parts

IntegratedTunnels shows up in three quest chapters in the pack: Basic Storage, Basic Logistics and Integrated Dynamics. Basic Storage is where you first hook up your chests, Basic Logistics has one quest per resource type, and Integrated Dynamics covers the Importer, Exporter and Interface parts more broadly.[2][3][4]

Basic Storage

  1. "Connecting Your Storage" quest comes after the Integrated Terminals quest. It asks for Logic Cable, Part Interface Item and Part Terminal Storage. You put Item Interfaces on your chests, join them with Logic Cables and add a Storage Terminal to reach all your storage.[4]
  2. a quest in "Basic Storage" follows it and asks for Part Interface Fluid. The same idea works for fluids: put a fluid interface on anything that holds fluid and connect it with Logic Cables so the fluid appears in your system. The quest also suggests filling buckets from your inventory.[4]

Basic Logistics

This chapter has three quests, and all of them come after the same two prerequisite quests. Each one asks for an Importer and a matching Interface, and each is finished with a Variable Card in the Importer.[2]

Watch out: The Energy Importing quest says the author had problems importing or exporting to Flux Plugs and Flux Points, so be careful when you use them with these parts.[2]

Integrated Dynamics

The three quests here are "any of these" tasks, so you only need one of the listed parts to complete each one. The Interface and Exporter quests are untitled in the quest data, so they appear by their IDs.[3]

Order

Within Basic Storage, do Connecting Your Storage first, since the fluid quest comes after it. In Basic Logistics, the three import quests share the same two prerequisites, so you can do them in any order once those are done. In Integrated Dynamics, the Interface quest follows Crystallized Menril Chunks, Importing follows one quest, and Exporting follows a different one.[2][3][4]

Unverified The Basic Logistics and the Importing and Exporting quests depend on prerequisite quests that are only given by ID in the data (6112956E19017D2D, 03C40D6A5D722543, 3BC94B0B922C0708 and 6D9FA4DF842C1010), so what they ask for is unverified here.
